Collision: Farisai MUNZVENGI Arrested For Drunk Driving

(MUNICIPALITY OF TRENT HILLS, ON) – One person has been charged after a police investigation into a two-vehicle collision.

On March 6, 2024, at approximately 9:00 p.m., members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Municipality of Trent Hills Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services (EMS), responded to a report of a collision between two passenger vehicles on County Road 25 in the Municipality of Trent Hills.

Police arrived and during the investigation, an officer utilised an Approved Screening Device (ASD). The driver was arrested for impaired operation and transported to a detachment for further testing. The driver of the second vehicle was treated by EMS prior to attending a local hospital for minor injuries.

Farisai MUNZVENGI, 32-years-old from North York has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·        Operate a motor vehicle without insurance.

A further 90-day Administrative Driver Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impound was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.

28 Year Old From Goderich Arrested #Catch&Release

(GODERICH, ON) – On February 28th, 2024, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a matter involving intimate partners in the Town of Goderich.

As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had allegedly committed criminal acts against their partner.

A 28-year-old individual from Goderich has been charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

–      Mischief – Domestic,

–      Failure to Comply with Undertaking – (two counts),

–      Resist Peace Officer,

–      Dangerous Operation.

The accused was processed, held for a bail hearing, and later released from custody with a court date scheduled for the Goderich Ontario Court of Justice.

More Impaired Drivers

(HALIBURTON COUNTY, ON)  Haliburton Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two drivers, that had been travelling in the wrong lane, in two separate incidents in the last week.

On March 1, 2024, shortly before 10:00 pm, Haliburton Highlands OPP stopped a passenger vehicle that had been driving in the oncoming lane towards a police cruiser on Bobcaygeon Road in Minden.

As a result of the investigation, Tabbitha WATTS, 35 years of age, of Peterborough was charged with:

·        Operation while impaired-alcohol

·        Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Minden on April 3, 2024.

On March 5, 2024, shortly before 7:00 pm, Haliburton Highlands OPP, stopped a passenger vehicle driving in the oncoming lane on County Road 21 in the Municipality of Dysart et al.

An investigation was commenced and as a result, Robert KRZECZKOWSKI, 60 years of age, of St. Catharines was charged with:

·        Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Minden on April 3, 2024.

34 Year Old Arrested Twice In One Night #Catch&Release

(WAWA, ON) – A local resident is facing criminal charges after being arrested by police twice in one night. On March 7, 2024, shortly before 1:00 a.m., the Superior East Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of mischief on Third Avenue in Wawa. 

As a result of the investigation, Marlee PANCO, 34 years-of-age, of Wawa was arrested and charged with:

  • Mischief Under $5,000

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on April 8, 2024 in Wawa.

While in police custody, the accused showed signs of being impaired by alcohol. Upon release, the accused was provided a courtesy ride home and warned by police not to drive a vehicle, due to suspected impairment.

Shortly after 2:00 a.m., while conducting general patrol in Wawa, Superior East OPP observed the accused driving a vehicle on Mackey Street. 

Investigation confirmed the driver had consumed alcoholic beverages. As a result, the accused was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while Impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on April 8, 2024 in Wawa. They were also issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

John Hennekam – Drunk Driving

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an impaired driving investigation on March 07, 2024.

On March 07, 2024 at approximately 00:54 am, officers conduced a traffic stop on Highway 35 after a motor vehicle failed to stop for a RIDE program and almost struck an officer. An impaired driving investigation commenced.

John Hennekam 51 years old of Lindsay was charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired Blood Alcohol Concentration over 80

The accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The motor vehicles was towed and impounded for 7 days.

Cheryl JACKSON – Assault & Theft

(Marmora and Lake, ON) – On the 03rd of March 2024, members of the Central Hastings detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to an address in Marmora regarding a theft and an assault. Officers attended and arrested one individual who was also wanted on outstanding warrants.

As a result of the Investigation, Cheryl JACKSON, 63 years of age from Marmora Ontario has been charged with assault and Theft under $5000.

JACKSON was later released on an undertaking to attend at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on the 28th of March 2024.

Jeffrey Parkes Facing 25 Charges – Caught On Video

(SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – One individual is facing 25 charges when a property owner called the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) to report seeing a suspicious vehicle on their seasonal property through their video surveillance.

On March 6, 2025, at 3:19 a.m., a property owner called the Grey Bruce OPP to report a vehicle parked in the laneway of their vacant seasonal property on Davidson Drive in South Bruce Peninsula.

Police attended and located the driver in the driver’s seat of an idling vehicle. The driver appeared to be asleep. Officers woke the driver and while the officers were speaking to the driver; the driver was displaying signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and transported to the Saugeen Shores Police Detachment for further tests by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE). During a search of the vehicle OPP officers seized a large quantity of suspected fentanyl, suspected methamphetamine, suspected cocaine, a firearm and a large quantity of money. Approximately street value of the drugs is $70,000.

Jeffrey Parkes, 31-year-old of no fixed address was charged with:

·      Operation while impaired

·      Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, Cocaine) X3

·      Possession of property obtained by crime Over $5000

·      Possession of property obtained by crime Under $5000

·      Knowledge of Unauthorized possession of a firearm

·      Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was a Firearm

·      Possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammo

·      Breach of firearms regulation – transport firearm or restricted weapon

·      Possession of a firearm knowing serial number has been tampered with

·      Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order X8

·      Fail to comply with Probation Order X2

·      Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose X3

The accused was held for a bail hearing.

The Grey Bruce OPP is reminding everyone to report suspicious activity to police. We would rather prevent a crime than have to deal with the consequences of crime.

Shannen BRYANT Arrested

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a North Huron resident with Impaired Operation and several other offences after police stopped a vehicle for speeding in South Huron on Friday, February 23rd, 2024. 

Huron OPP officers were patrolling in the Municipality of South Huron at approximately 8:20 p.m. on February 23rd. Police locked a southbound motor vehicle travelling on London Road. The driver attempted to hide their vehicle from police in a private laneway but was located by the officer. Police spoke to the driver who displayed signs of impairment. Officers had reason to believe that the driver was impaired by drug, and they were subsequently arrested. Evidence of illegal drug use was located inside the vehicle.

The accused was then transported to the Huron OPP Detachment in Clinton for further tests by an OPP Drug Recognition Expert (D.R.E.).  

Shannen BRYANT, 36 years-of-age from North Huron has been charged with the following offences:

–      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs,

–      Obstruct Peace Officer,

–      Personation with Intent.

The accused was additionally charged under the Highway Traffic Act for Speeding and Driving While Under Suspension.

The involved vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days.

The accused was processed, then later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on March 18th, 2024.

(HURON EAST, ON) – On February 20th, 2024, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a matter involving intimate partners in the Municipality of Huron East.

As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had allegedly committed several criminal acts against their partner in 2020.

A 21-year-old individual from Waterloo has been charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

–      Assault – Spousal,

–      Assault Causing Bodily Harm – (two counts),

–      Uttering Threats to Cause Bodily Harm or Death – Spousal.

The accused was arrested, processed, and later released from custody with a court date scheduled for the Goderich Ontario Court of Justice.

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – On February 21st, 2024, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a matter involving intimate partners in the Municipality of Central Huron.

As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had allegedly committed a criminal act against their partner in 2022.

A 46-year-old individual from Central Huron has been charged under the Criminal Code with the following offence:

–      Assault with a Weapon – Spousal.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court date scheduled for the Goderich Ontario Court of Justice.

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – On February 22nd, 2024, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a matter involving intimate partners in the Municipality of Central Huron.

As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had allegedly committed several criminal acts against their partner.

A 53-year-old individual from Central Huron has been charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

–      Assault – Spousal – (four counts),

–      Assault Causing Bodily Harm.

The accused was arrested, processed, and later released from custody with a court date scheduled for the Goderich Ontario Court of Justice.

Frederick FOX Arrested For Assault & Brandishing Weapon

(HAVELOCK-BELMONT-METHUEN TOWNSHIP, ON)- An individual has been charged after a dispute between two parties led to a hatchet being brandished and property being damaged.

On March 1, 2024, at approximately 12:30pm, members of the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received to a call regarding an individual that had been screaming at people and then became involved in an altercation in which the accused spat on the victim. The accused then retrieved a hatched and began waving it around. The hatchet was thrown away at which point it caused damage to a residence.

Police attended and as a result, one person was arrested.

Frederick FOX (age 31) of Peterborough, ON., was arrested and charged with:

  • Assault
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Mischief under $5,000 – two counts
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

Alexander YOUMANS Wanted By Police

(PARRY SOUND, ON) – An arrest warrant has been issued in relation to an ongoing shooting investigation at a hotel in Parry Sound.

On June 15, 2023, shortly after 1:30 a.m., the West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an individual in hospital with injuries sustained following an incident at a local hotel.

As a result of the investigation, Shacquan MORRIS, 27 years old from Etobicoke, and Alexander LOGUE, 20 years old from South River, have been arrested and charged in connection with this incident.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Alexander YOUMANS, 19 years old from Henvey Inlet First Nation, who is described as male, approximately 6’0″ tall (183 cm) and approximately 135 lbs (61 kg), with black hair and brown eyes. It is believed that he now has short hair.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the West Parry Sound OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.

Driver Arrested After Ditching Vehicle & Landing On Railway Track

(HARTY, ON) – A commercial motor vehicle (CMV) driver has been charged for dangerous driving, after crossing a live lane into a ditch, and landing a railway track.

On March 4, 2024, shortly before 1:00 a.m., the James Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a 911 call of a CMV in the ditch and obstructing a railway track along Highway 11 in Harty.

Police attended the scene, and an investigation revealed that the CMV had been travelling westbound on a clear and dry highway, when it crossed the east bound lane, into the east bound ditch and landed on the railway track. There were no injuries to either driver or passenger, and a call was placed to the Ontario Northland Rail to avoid a potential train collision.

As a result of the investigation, Parmveer GAHIR, 31 years of age of Brampton, was charged with the criminal offence of dangerous operation.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on March 18, 2024 in Kapuskasing.

Repeat Offender Michael WOLOSCHUK Arrested Again – Sexual Assault, Luring Children

(ROCKLAND, ON)  The Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid additional sex-related charged against a Rockland resident.

On March 5, 2024, members of the Russell County OPP Crime Unit, assisted by OPP Digital Forensics and Forensic Identification Services, executed a warrant in Ottawa and arrested an individual in relation to a historical sexual assault / child luring investigation.

Michael WOLOSCHUK, age 44 from Rockland, was charged with:

  • Sexual Assault on a person under 16 years of age – three counts
  • Sexual Interference – three counts
  • Luring a person under 16 years of age by means of telecommunication – two counts
  • Fail to Comply with a Release Order – one count

The accused was remanded in custody and scheduled for a bail hearing on March 12, 2024, by video from the Ottawa-Carlton Detention Centre.

This accused was previously charged with similar offences in August 2023. Those charges remain before the courts.

Drug Bust – Repeat Offender Arrested Again

(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Oxford Street Crime Unit has charged two individuals after executing a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at an address on Goshen Road in the Town of Tillsonburg. 

On Friday March 1, 2024, police executed a search warrant in the Town of Tillsonburg. As a result, police seized a cell phone, Canadian currency, packaging materials, knives, scales, and suspected fentanyl.

Thomas MASEFIELD, 30-years-old, of Tillsonburg has been charged with the following offences:

·        Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking

·        Possession of a Prohibited Device

·        Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on April 2, 2024.  

Arthur POTTS, 54-years-old, of Tillsonburg has been charged with the following offences:

·        Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking

·        Possession of a Prohibited Device

The accused is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on April 16, 2024.

Kevin HARASYM – Impaired Driving

(DRYDEN, ON) – Members of the Dryden Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment have arrested and charged one individual with impaired operation. 

 On March 5, 2024, just after 8:00 p.m., members of the Dryden OPP Detachment completed a traffic stop of a suspected impaired driver on Goodall Street in the City of Dryden.

 Through investigation, it was determined that the driver of the motor vehicle was impaired by drug. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Dryden OPP Detachment for further testing.

As a result, Kevin HARASYM, 44-years-old, of Ignace, has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with:

·        Operation while Impaired – alcohol and drugs

·        Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available – three counts

·        Fail to notify change of address – three counts

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Dryden on April 15, 2024.
