Dennis CHURCHILL Was Arrested Again

(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – One person is facing multiple charges following an incident in Oxford County.

On Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at approximately 5:00 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment attended an address on Plank Line for an active police investigation.

 As the result of the investigation, Dennis CHURCHILL, a 37-year-old St. Thomas resident was charged under the Highway Traffic Act and Criminal Code of Canada for the following outstanding, and new offences:

·      Flight from Peace Officer

·      Dangerous Operation

·      Fail to Stop for Police

·      Driving While Under Suspension

·      Possession of Stolen Property Obtained by Crime

·      Possession of Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

·      Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order (five counts)

·      Fail to Comply with Probation Order

·      Unauthorized Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm

The accused has been remanded into custody awaiting a bail hearing.

Shawn BAUER – Drunk Driving

(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – On May 4, 2024, at approximately 12:30 a.m., members of the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting enforcement patrols when they initiated a traffic stop on Hollingshead Road in the Town of Ingersoll.

Alcohol consumption was suspected so an Approved Screening Device (ASD) test was administered to determine an approximate Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) for the driver. The test resulted in a Fail, and the driver was transported to the detachment for further testing.

As a result, Shawn BAUER, a 34-year-old from Ingersoll, has been charged with the following Criminal Code offence:

·              Operation While Impaired -Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, located in Woodstock, on June 25, 2024.

The OPP remind motorists that no amount of alcohol or drug is acceptable to consume and drive.

Keagan RADCLIFFE Arrested

(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – Police locate the suspect of a theft from a business in Tillsonburg.

On Sunday, May 5, 2024, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment, was called to a business on Broadway in Tillsonburg, following the theft of a “tip jar” from the establishment.

Keagan RADCLIFFE, a 22-year-old of Tillsonburg was located and charged with the following Criminal Code offence:

·        Theft Under $5000

The accused has been released and is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice, in Woodstock on June 11, 2024.

Repeat Offender Arrested Again

(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – Police responded to a weapons related call in the Town of Tillsonburg.

On Thursday, May 2, 2024, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment, arrested an individual as the result of a weapons related incident, near Concession Street East, in the Town of Tillsonburg.

Jason NEVILL, a 45-year-old of Tillsonburg was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

·        Failure to Comply with Release Order 

·        Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

·        Assault with a Weapon

·        Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

·        Fail to Comply with Probation Order

·        Assault with a Weapon

Fortunately, there were no serious injuries.

There is no threat to public safety.

The accused has been remanded into custody.

Another Fatal Collision

(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – A two-vehicle collision has claimed the life of one individual.

On May 2, 2024, at approximately 6:45 p.m., members from the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with assistance from Oxford County Fire Services, as well as Oxford County Paramedic Services, responded to a two-vehicle collision near the intersection of Pigram Road and Salford Road, South-West Oxford Township.

The investigation determined that two vehicles collided on Pigram Road.

As a result, a 48-year-old from London was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries but was later pronounced deceased.

A second individual was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

Road closures are in effect at Pigram Road and Salford Road, as well as Cromarty Drive and Pigram Road, and are expected to remain closed for the next several hours.

The West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team is assisting with the investigation.

Paul BREKELMANS – Drunk Driving

(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – Police responded to a traffic complaint and made an arrest for impaired driving in the Town of Ingersoll.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., on Wednesday, April 23, 2024, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment, responded to a traffic complaint of a suspected impaired driver. Police located the vehicle, observed signs of impairment, and initiated a traffic stop.

After speaking to the driver, police observed further signs of impairment and made an arrest.

After conducting further testing at the roadside and at the detachment, Paul BREKELMANS, 25 years-of-age of Thamesford, was charged with the following Criminal Code offence:

·      Operation While Impaired -Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, located in Woodstock, on May 30, 2024.

Lisa BALDWIN Was Arrested

(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – Police, while on foot patrol, in the Town of Ingersoll, detected and arrested an impaired driver.

At approximately 2:35 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2024, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment, witnessed the driver of a vehicle showing signs of impairment.

Police were on foot patrol on Thames Street when they were able to stop the vehicle.

After speaking to the driver, police observed further signs of impairment and made an arrest.

After conducting testing at the detachment, Lisa BALDWIN, 43 years-of-age of Ingersoll, was charged with the following Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act offences:

·      Operation While Impaired

·      Operation While Impaired -Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

·      Drive Motor Vehicle – No Licence

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, located in Woodstock, on May 28, 2024.

Christopher MAVENYENGWA & Felix MUTANDWA Were Arrested – Details Released

(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – Police arrested two individuals after a member of the public called in a concern for a disabled vehicle.

At approximately 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2024, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment, were dispatched to a disabled vehicle, that was partially blocking a live lane, on Highway 401, in South-West Oxford.

After assessment at the scene and further investigation at detachment police arrested and charged two individuals.

Christopher MAVENYENGWA, a 48-year-old of Burlington, has been charged with the following Liquor Licence Act and Criminal Code offences:

·      Resist Peace Officer

·      Intoxicated in a Public Place

Felix MUTANDWA, a 42-year-old of Guelph, has been charged with the following Highway Traffic Act and Criminal Code offences:

·      Operation While Impaired

·      Operation While Impaired -Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

·      Drive While Under Suspension

Both individuals have been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

·      Fraud Over $5000

·      Fraud Under $5000

·      Possession of Identification Documents

·      Possession of Forged Documents

·      Possession of Credit Cards

The accused individuals have been held for a bail hearing and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Woodstock on April 5, 2024.

Jaedyn SIMMONS – Drunk Driving

(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – Police arrested an impaired driver in Tillsonburg, thanks to multiple calls from the public, reporting traffic complaints.

At approximately 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2024, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment, initiated a traffic stop in the Town of Tillsonburg after receiving multiple complaints for the same vehicle.

After speaking to the driver, police observed signs of impairment and made an arrest.

After conducting further testing at the detachment, Jaedyn SIMMONS, 25 years-of-age of Langton, was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

·               Operation While Impaired

·               Operation While Impaired -Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Woodstock on May 7, 2024.

Drug Bust – Repeat Offender Arrested Again

(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Oxford Street Crime Unit has charged two individuals after executing a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at an address on Goshen Road in the Town of Tillsonburg. 

On Friday March 1, 2024, police executed a search warrant in the Town of Tillsonburg. As a result, police seized a cell phone, Canadian currency, packaging materials, knives, scales, and suspected fentanyl.

Thomas MASEFIELD, 30-years-old, of Tillsonburg has been charged with the following offences:

·        Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking

·        Possession of a Prohibited Device

·        Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on April 2, 2024.  

Arthur POTTS, 54-years-old, of Tillsonburg has been charged with the following offences:

·        Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking

·        Possession of a Prohibited Device

The accused is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on April 16, 2024.

Repeat Offender William WHITCROFT Arrested Again

(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – Police recover a stolen vehicle and lay several charges.

On February 23, 2024, at approximately 3:30 p.m., police received a report of a vehicle stuck in the mud on a property on Highway 53 in Norwich Township.

Police arrived on scene and confirmed the vehicle had been stolen. Police located the suspect who had tried to leave the scene on foot and made an arrest.

William WHITCROFT, 32 years-of-age of Norfolk, was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

·              Possession of Stolen Property

·              Mischief

·              Obstruct Police

·              Fail to Comply with Probation

The accused has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Woodstock on March 4, 2024.

Nicholas PRESSEY – Drunk Driving

 (OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – Thanks to a member of the public calling in a traffic complaint, an individual was arrested and charged with several offences.

At approximately 10:30 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2024, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment, investigated a traffic complaint on Broadway Street in the Town of Tillsonburg.

After speaking to the driver, police observed signs of impairment and made an arrest.

After conducting further testing at the detachment Nicholas PRESSEY, 24 years-of-age of Delhi, was charged with the following Criminal Code and Provincial Offences Act charges:

·                    Operation While Impaired

·                    Novice Driver Operation While Impaired -Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

·                    Driving Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor

·                    Fail to Surrender Insurance Card

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Woodstock on March 26, 2024.
