(GODERICH, ON) – An arrest has been made in relation to two separate break & enters that occurred in the Township of Huron-Kinloss and the Municipality of South Huron.
On February 14, 2025, the Huron County OPP received a report of a break & enter to a construction site along B Line outside of Grand Bend, where a quantity of appliances and equipment was stolen.
On March 17, 2025, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a break & enter to a series of storage units at an event grounds property along Walter Street in Lucknow, where a quantity of electrical equipment was stolen.
Through an investigation conducted by the Huron-Perth Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) executed a search warrant at a storage facility in Goderich on June 10, 2025, and recovered stolen items from the aforementioned break-ins.
As a result of the investigation, Matthew PRITCHARD, 40-years-old of the Township of Huron-Kinloss has been charged with:
- Break, enter a place – commit indictable offence, CC 348(1)(b)
- Possession of property obtained by crime, CC 354(1)(a) – four counts
The accused was held for a bail hearing and subsequently remanded into custody.
All seized property has been returned to the rightful owners.
