(PICTON, ON) � Members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver with impaired after a traffic complaint.

On April 22, 2024 shortly before 8:30 p.m. officers received a traffic complaint. Updated information advised the vehicle had entered the ditch on County Road 2. Officers responded to the area and located the vehicle parked on the shoulder. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the driver who was transported to detachment for further testing.

Thomas OLSON, age 48 from Prince Edward County, was charged with operation while impaired � alcohol and drugs.

The driver was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date. They also had their licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven.
