(PEMBROKE, ON) � A local individual is facing drug possession charges after an unwanted person was reported at a business in Pembroke.

On the evening of April 23, 2024, at approximately 9:30 p.m., officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a restaurant on Pembroke Street West in Pembroke in response to a report of an unwanted, intoxicated person at the location. Police attended, located the individual and took them into custody. Suspected fentanyl was seized during the investigation.

Mark RECKZIN, age 45 of no fixed address, has been charged with possession of a schedule 1 substance � fentanyl, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on May 28, 2024.
