Goderich Drunk Driver Arrested – Johannes VANEEKEN

(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Goderich resident with criminal driving offences following a traffic complaint in the Town of Goderich reported to police on August 17th, 2025. 

Just after 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 17, 2025, Huron County OPP officers responded to a complaint from a concerned citizen that a driver may be driving impaired in the Town of Goderich. The driver was located shortly after by police and arrested for impaired operation.

The driver was transported to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton where they provided breath samples before a qualified Intoxilyzer Breath Technician. Breath samples were provided to police which resulted in readings over three times the legal limit.

As a result of the investigation, the accused has been charged as follows:

Johannes VANEEKEN, 50 years-of-age from Goderich has been charged with:

–      Impaired Operation – Alcohol and Drug,

–      Impaired Operation – Over 80.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Attempt Murder – Repeat Offender Arrested Again #3Strikes

(ONEIDA NATION OF THE THAMES FIRST NATION, ON) – Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Oneida Nation Police investigating a shooting incident on Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation.

On September 14, 2025, at 12:59 a.m., members of the Oneida Nation Police, Munsee-Delaware First Nation Police and Middlesex County OPP were dispatched to Oneida Road, Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation for the report of a break and enter.

Officers arrived on scene and located an individual that had suffered a gunshot wound. They were subsequently transported to hospital by Oneida Nation Paramedic Service to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Oneida Nation Police, in partnership with the Middlesex OPP Crime Unit have charged Xander ELIJAH, a 26-year-old of Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation under the Criminal Code with:

  • Attempt to commit murder using firearm
  • Poss of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order
  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
  • Uttering Threats – Damage Property
  • Failure to comply with undertaking
  • Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court

The accused was held for bail.

Oneida Nation Police, in partnership with the Middlesex OPP Crime Unit are continuing to investigate this incident.

Lee BALE Arrested For Impaired Driving In South Huron

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a London Ontario resident with criminal driving offences following a traffic stop in the Municipality of South Huron, on August 18th, 2025. 

Just after 1:30 a.m. on Monday, August 18, 2025, Huron County OPP officers conducted a traffic stop on London Road in South Huron after an alert was made by the automated licence plate recognition (ALPR) system in the police vehicle. Police spoke to the driver who was subsequently arrested for impaired operation.

The driver was transported to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton where they provided breath samples before a qualified Intoxilyzer Breath Technician. Breath samples were provided to police which resulted in readings over the legal limit.

As a result of the investigation, the accused has been charged as follows:

Lee BALE, 58 years-of-age from London has been charged with:

–      Impaired Operation – Alcohol and Drug,

–      Impaired Operation – Over 80.

The accused was additionally charged with offences found in the Highway Traffic Act (HTA), and the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act (CAIA).

The involved vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Another One KILLED By A Drunk Driver

(WALPOLE ISLAND FIRST NATION, ON) – One person has died following a motor vehicle collision on Walpole Island First Nation.

On September 13, 2025, at approximately 12:52 a.m., members of Walpole Island Police Service, Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with emergency services responded to a single-vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Tecumseh Road, Walpole Island First Nation.

The pedestrian, a 22-year-old resident of Wallaceburg, was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased.

As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old of Walpole Island First Nation, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and the Highway Traffic Act with the following offences:

  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation While Impaired Causing Death
  • Fail to Stop at Accident Resulting in Death
  • Dangerous Operation Causing Death
  • Driving While Under Suspension

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing and subsequently remanded into custody. They will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.   

Tecumseh Road was closed between Chiefs Road and Aquash Lane for several hours to allow for investigation and has since been reopened.

A publication ban is in effect; therefore no further details will be released at this time.

Mount Forest Resident Jason MACROBBIE Arrested For Drunk Driving

(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a Mount Forest resident criminally, stemming from a traffic stop.

On September 13, 2025, at approximately 12:00 a.m., the Wellington County OPP were performing a proactive traffic enforcement initiative, when a motor vehicle was witnessed to have failed to stop for a stop sign, prompting a traffic stop on Fergus Street South, within Mount Forest.

As a result of the investigation, Jason MACROBBIE, a 49-year-old of Mount Forest is charged under the Criminal Code and the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Disobey stop sign – fail to stop
  • Fail to surrender insurance card

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on September 26, 2025.

Trapped Suspened Driver Rescued

(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single-motor vehicle collision involving a tree, with it being reported that the driver was trapped inside.

On September 14, 2025, at approximately 12:30 a.m., the Wellington County OPP, alongside local emergency services, responded to a report of a single motor vehicle striking a tree on Ninth Line within the Town of Erin, with the driver being trapped inside.

Margaret TEICHROEB – Drunk Driving

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – Driver facing impaired charge after traffic stop on Highway 401.

On September 13, 2025, at 10:12 p.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401, the Municipality of Thames Centre, observed a suspicious vehicle, at which time a traffic stop was initiated.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

As a result, Margaret TEICHROEB, a 40-year-old of Norfolk County, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Dangerous Operation

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on October 6, 2025.

Nicholas DENMAN – Impaired Driving

(KILLALOE-HAGARTY-RICHARDS TWP., ON.) – The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver with impaired after a single vehicle rollover.

On September 15, 2025, just after 6:30 p.m., OPP officers were advised of a vehicle in the ditch after it had rolled over on Round Lake Rd. in the Township of Killaloe-Hagarty-Richards. The lone person in the vehicle suffered very minor injuries and was not transported to a local hospital. As part of the investigation a Roadside Screening Device was utilized, and the driver was transported to the detachment for further testing.

Nicholas DENMAN, 34 years old, of Pembroke was charged with impaired operation.

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days. They were released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on October 20, 2025.

Home Invasion – Suspects At Large #StandYourGround

(EAST ZORRA-TAVISTOCK, ON) – The Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a break and enter incident in the Township of East Zorra-Tavistock.

On September 12, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m., members of the Oxford OPP were dispatched to a residence on Westwood Avenue in Tavistock for the report of a break in at a residence where keys and a vehicle were stolen.

Officers attended the scene for the investigation while notifying neighbouring detachments of the stolen vehicle.

The vehicle was recovered a short time later, abandoned in Brant County.

Investigators are conducting an ongoing investigation and are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the suspects.

The suspects are being described as two white males, approximately 18 years-of-age. They were both wearing dark coloured ski masks and one was wearing a black hoodie, and the other was wearing a grey hoodie.

There was a white four door sedan observed in the area just prior to the incident.

Fatal ATV Collision

(UNICORPORATED TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fatal All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) collision.

On Monday September 15, 2025, at approximately 10:35 a.m., members from the Nipissing West (Sudbury) Detachment of the OPP and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a single ATV collision, on Old Portelance Gervais Lumber Road, Unincorporated Township, approximately 55 kilometres north of Capreol.

A 77-year-old-person from Capreol was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The investigation is still ongoing with the assistance of the OPP Collision Reconstructionist and the Traffic Collision Investigation Team to determine the cause of the collision.

Hanover Resident Charged Following Hit & Run

(BROCKTON, ON) – On September 12, 2025, at approximately 3:14 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a collision involving a box truck on Concession 12 between Bruce Road 19 and Sideroad 5 Brant.

Police learned that the collision had taken place hours earlier, and the vehicle involved was no longer on scene. The investigating officer attended the collision scene to observe extensive damage to a bridge and alerted the Municipality of Brockton; the bridge is closed for an unknown extent of time.

A 48-year-old resident of Hanover has been charged with:

  • Fail to remain, HTA 200(1)(a)

Repeat Offender Jardine FOREST Arrested Again

(MARKDALE, ON) – On September 13, 2025, at approximately 3:30 p.m., members of the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of a disturbance and property damage near Main Street West in Markdale.

Police received information that an individual was causing a disturbance and had damaged windows at two local businesses. Officers attended the scene and located the person, who was arrested without incident.

Jardine FOREST, 31-year-old of no fixed address has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Mischief under $5,000 – two counts
  • Fail to comply with probation

The accused was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on September 15, 2025, and was remanded into custody.
