Mathew CLARKE Was Arrested

(KILLALOE, ON) – Police have laid impaired charges on a driver after responding to a report of a vehicle collision.

On April 13, 2024, just after 9:00 p.m., members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single vehicle collision involving a pickup truck on 60 Highway in the Township of South Algonquin.

As part of the investigation the driver was transported to the detachment for further testing. As a result of the investigation, 38-year-old Mathew CLARKE of Angus was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Impaired Operation; and,
  • Over 80 mgs of Alcohol per 100 ml of Blood.

The accused was further charged with driving with no licence, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and having open liquor, contrary to the Liquor Licence Act and issued a summons to appear in court.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on May 8, 2024, Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke. The accused’s driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle towed and impounded. No reported injuries.

Floyd FLORENT – Drunk Driving

(KILLALOE, ON) – Police have laid criminal charges on a driver after responding to a traffic complaint.

On April 7, 2024, just after 7: 00 p.m., members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to a traffic complaint on Paradise Road, in the Township of South Algonquin.

As part of the investigation, the driver was transported to the detachment for further testing. As a result of the investigation, 63-year-old Floyd FLORENT of Whitney was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

·      impaired operation; and,

·      impaired over 80.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in court on May 1, 2024, Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke. The accused’s driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle towed and impounded.

Another Anonymous Beating #EndTheAbuse

(KILLALOE, ON) – Police have laid a criminal domestic charge after responding recently to an Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) incident.

On April 6, 2024, members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an assault call for service in the Township of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan. As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged a 30-year-old from Whitewater Region with the following Criminal Code offence:

  • domestic assault, (two counts).

The accused was released on conditions and will appear in court at later date.

The name of the accused person will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.

Amanda FOY – Theft, Laundering, Fraud, Etc.

(KILLALOE) – In November of 2022, the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) began an investigation into several fraud and theft related incidents that occurred in the Township of Madawaska Valley.

An investigation into these incidents led by the Renfrew County Crime Unit, has resulted in the arrest of one individual and subsequent criminal charges laid.On March 26, 2024, 43-year-old Amanda FOY of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Township was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:·      Theft over $5000, (eleven counts),·      Theft under $5000, (three counts),·      Fraud under $5000, (nine counts),·      Possession of proceeds of crime over $5000,·      Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000,·      Laundering proceeds of crime; and,·      Forgery.The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on May 1, 2024, Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke. Repeat Offender Arrested Again

(KILLALOE, ON) – Police have arrested and charged two individuals with criminal offences related to a trespass incident.

On March 24, 2024, just after 2:00 a.m., members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a trespass to property call for service at a storage facility on Radar Court in the Township of Bonnechere Valley.

Police located two individuals who were subsequently arrested on scene. As a result of police investigation, 29-year-old Devon KINGSBURY of Pikwakanagan Ontario First Nation has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

·      Trespass at night,

·      Mischief – interfere with lawful enjoyment of property; and,

·      Breach of probation order conditions.

Also charged is 35-year-old Caylah LULOFF of Pikwakanagan Ontario First Nation with the following Criminal Code offences:

·      Trespass at night; and,

·      Mischief – interfere with lawful enjoyment of property.

Both accused were released on conditions and are scheduled to appear in court on May 1, 2024, Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke

Another Anonymous Abuser

(KILLALOE, ON) – Police have arrested and charged an individual in relation to a recent Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) incident.

On March 11, 2024, members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a domestic dispute call for service in the Township of Madawaska Valley. As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged a 26-year-old from Madawaska Valley with the following Criminal Code offence:

  • domestic assault.

The accused was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in court later at the Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke. The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

Timothy GALLAGHER & James KUIACK Arrested

(KILLALOE, ON) – Police have charged two drivers with impaired criminal offences over the past week.

On February 28, 2024, just before 9:00 p.m., the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on a passenger car on Smaglinski-Stoppa Parkway, in the Township of Madawaska Valley.

As part of the investigation, the driver was transported to the detachment for further testing. As a result of the investigation, 61-year-old James KUIACK of Killaloe was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code (CC) offence:

  • refusal to comply with breath demand.

The accused was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on March 13, 2024, Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke.

On March 3, 2024, just after midnight, members the Killaloe Detachment conducted a RIDE check on Crimson Maple Road, in the Township of Bonnechere Valley. Police conducted a traffic stop on a pickup truck at this location.

As part of the investigation, the driver was transported to the detachment for further testing. As a result of the investigation, 39-year-old Timothy GALLAGHER of North Algona Wilberforce Township was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • impaired operation of a conveyance;
  • operating a conveyance while having over 80 mgs of alcohol per 100 ml of blood; and,
  • careless storage of a firearm.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in court on March 27, 2024, Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke. The licence was seized and suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle towed and impounded.

Caitlin BREEN Arrested For Assault

(KILLALOE, ON) – One person has been charged with assault.

On February 21, 2024, just after 3:30 p.m., members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an assault call for service on Opeongo Line, in the Township of Madawaska Valley.

As a result of police investigation, 35-year-old Caitlin BREEN of Madawaska Valley Township has been charged with the Criminal Code offence of assault.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court on April 3, 2024, at the Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke.
