Theft Arrests – Details Released

(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) – Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged several individuals in connection with unrelated theft investigations.

On September 13, 2025, police received a report regarding the theft of photography equipment from a residence on Rutherford Road in the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand. The items were believed to have been stolen by a family member.

Following an investigation, officers arrested one individual the following day.

A 34-year-old male, of no fixed address, has been charged with:

–      Theft over $5,000

The accused shall not be named to protect the identity of the victim. They are due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in October.

On August 29, 2025, police received a report regarding the theft of a debit card belonging to a resident of Trent Hills. An investigation revealed the card had been used at multiple points of sale and cash withdrawal points.

As a result, two individuals were identified and arrested on September 15, 2025.

Robert REID (41) from the Municipality of Trent Hills, has been charged with:

–      Theft over $5,000

Sandra STORY (38) from the Municipality of Trent Hills, has been charged with:

–      Theft over $5,000

Both accused are due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in October.

Deceased Person Located

(BRACEBRIDGE, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is seeking public assistance in relation to the discovery of a deceased person in Torrance.

On Monday, September 15, 2025, shortly after 12:00 p.m., the Bracebridge OPP responded to the report of a deceased person discovered in a remote area near Hardy Lake Road. Investigators believe there is no immediate threat to the general public at this time.

Investigators are urging anyone who was in the Hardy Lake Road area between Sunday, September 14, 2025, and Monday, September 15, 2025, and may have dashcam footage or other relevant information to contact police. Even footage that may appear unrelated could contain critical details that support the investigation.

The investigation is being conducted by the Bracebridge OPP Crime Unit under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, and in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service. Assistance is being provided by OPP Forensic Identification Services.

Ashvin BALAKUGAN Was Arrested For Theft

(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) – One additional individual has been charged in connection with a theft from a commercial premises in Colborne.

On October 11, 2024, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a theft from a business located on Toronto Street in Colborne. It was reported that several individuals stole approximately $865 worth of liquor. On September 10, 2025, officers located and arrested two individuals in relation to the investigation.

On September 12, 2025, a third individual was taken into custody.

As a result, Ashvin BALAKUGAN (20) of Toronto, has been charged with:

  • Theft Under $5,000 – Shoplifting

All three accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in October.

West Perth Pervert Alert – OPP Withhold Name Endangering Community’s Children

(WEST PERTH, ON) – The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is seeking the public’s assistance involving an investigation that occurred over the weekend.

On September 14, 2025 at approximately 5:00 p.m., the Perth County OPP responded to a report of a suspicious person near Montreal Street between St George Street and St Andrew Street in the town of Mitchell where a victim reported being approached by a male.

At 7:41 p.m., police responded to a second report of a suspicious person at the Lion’s Park in the town of Mitchell where a second victim reported being approached by a male. 

As a result, a 68-year-old from West Perth has been charged under the Criminal Code with two counts of Invitation to Sexual Touching under 16 years of age. The accused was held for bail and subsequently remanded into custody.

Don JOHNSON Was Arrested – Details Released

(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – A person was charged after police stopped a car on Joubin Road.

On September 14, 2025, at approximately 10:30 p.m. the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop to check the sobriety of the driver.   Police observed signs of alcohol impairment and failed the approved screening device. The person was subsequently arrested and vehicle was towed and impounded. 

Donald (Don) JOHNSON, 61-years-old, from Elliot Lake was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired by alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on October 9, 2025.

Pervert Jerks It While Facing School – Name Released

(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – On September 15, 2025, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to an indecent act related occurrence at a plaza on Hillside Drive. 

The complainant reported that a male was inside a small grey Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) parked in the plaza facing the school, pleasuring and exposing himself. The witness also photographed the elderly male and vehicle prior to calling police. The male departed before police arrival but was later arrested at his Chalmers Crescent residence.

Rolland FOISY, 77-years-old, of Elliot Lake was arrested and charged with – Indecent Act – Public Place.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on November 13, 2025.

25 Year Old From Fergus Charged

(MAPLETON TWP, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charges Fergus resident with stunt driving, stemming from a traffic stop.

On September 13, 2025, at approximately 1:00 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP Traffic Management Unit were performing a proactive traffic enforcement initiative and observed a motor vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed, to which a traffic stop was initiated on Jones Baseline within Mapleton Township.

As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old of Fergus is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed
  • Fail to notify change of address

Anyone charged with ‘drive motor vehicle – perform stunt’ receives a 14-day impoundment and a 30-day driver’s licence suspension as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the provincial offences court – Guelph, at a later date

Assault In Wingham – Daniel NOBLE Arrested & Released #3Strikes

(NORTH HURON, ON) – On Friday, August 22nd, 2025, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an assault on William Street in the Township of North Huron, Town of Wingham.

As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had allegedly committed an assault on another person.

The suspect was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offence:

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on September 29, 2025.

Police Assaulted In Goderich – Dawnalee MOORE Arrested And Released

(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Goderich resident following an incident that took place in the Town of Goderich on Sunday, August 18th, 2025.

Just before 3:00 p.m., on August 18th, 2025, police were contacted to investigate a disturbance on Balvina Drive in Goderich. Police attended and located an individual who was confrontational with police, and uttered threats. During their arrest, the accused resisted arrest and assaulted the officers but was eventually taken into custody.

Dawnalee MOORE, 36 years of age from Goderich has been charged with:

–      Assault a Peace Officer – (three counts),

–      Obstruct Peace Officer,

–      Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm – (three counts),

–      Mischief Under $5,000,

–      Resist Peace Officer.

The accused was processed, held for a bail hearing, and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on October 06, 2025.

Zachary McDowell – Drunk Driving

(HUNTSVILLE, ON) – On September 15, 2025 at 11:45 p.m., officers of the Huntsville O.P.P. were conducting a R.I.D.E. CHECK on Centre Street observing for impaired drivers.

Officers observed a blue pickup truck travelling on Centre Street as it approached the checkpoint. Police detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the driver and an open container of an alcoholic beverage in a cup holder. Police had the driver perform a roadside test, which the driver failed.

As a result of the investigation, Zachary McDowell, 36 years old of Huntsville Ontario, has been charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol – 80 plus

The accused is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge at a later date.

The vehicle has been impounded for 7 days and the accused was also served a 90 Administrative Driver’s License Suspension.

Meth Bust – Sohrab MOHAMMADIAN & Jeanette BELANGER

(ESSA, ON)- Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one driver with impaired driving and one passenger with drug related offences after failing to stop for a stop sign in Essa Township.

On September 14, 2025, shortly after 11:00 p.m., members of the Nottawasaga OPP were conducting general patrols when they observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign on Scotch Pine Road and Brentwood Road in Essa Township. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and during the interaction, grounds were formed that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol, leading to the driver’s arrest.  

Upon further investigation, officers located and seized 88.3 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine and 7.6 grams of cocaine on the passenger and as a result, both the driver and passenger were subsequently placed under arrest for trafficking.

As a result of the investigation, Sohrab MOHAMMADIAN 36-years-old of Milton was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

Jeanette BELANGER 42-years-old of Barrie was charged with:

  • Possession of an identity document
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • Identity Theft – obtain or possess another persons identity information

The accused parties are scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on October 9, 2025, to answer to the charges.

Kukwite DOXTATOR – Drunk Driving

(ONEIDA NATION OF THE THAMES FIRST NATION ON) – Driver facing impaired charge after traffic stop in Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation.

On September 13, 2025, at 12:51 a.m., members of Oneida Nation Police were dispatched to a business on Ballpark Road in Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation for the report of an alarm.

As police arrived on scene, a vehicle was observed leaving the area, shortly after, the same vehicle was observed traveling on Elijah Road, at which time officers initiated a traffic stop.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

As a result, Kukwite DOXTATOR, a 36-year-old of Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on October 7, 2025.

Repeat Offenders Arrested Again – Stolen Property Recovered #3Strikes

(BANCROFT, ON) – Three people face multiple charges in connection to stolen property.

On Friday, September 5, 2025, shortly after 11:00 a.m., two people were arrested near Gilmour, Ontario in relation to warrants from several different jurisdictions. Members of Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE), Emergency Response Team, East Region Community Street Crime Unit, and Bancroft Detachment assisted with the arrests. Upon further investigation a stolen ATV and SUV were located, and a third person was arrested.

Robin BLUNDELL, age 40, of Yarker has been charged with the following offences:

·      Fail to comply with a probation order

·      Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 – two counts

·      Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

·      Possession of a schedule I substance – Fentanyl

Lisa SWEET, age 52, of Addington Highlands has been charged with the following offences:

·      Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 – two counts

·      Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

·      Possession of a schedule I substance – Fentanyl

Mathew FRENCH, age 34, of Kingston has been charged with the following offences:

·      Fail to comply with a probation order – two counts

·      Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 – two counts

·      Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

·      Possession of a schedule I substance – Fentanyl

·      Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order – two counts

SWEET and FRENCH remain in custody. BLUNDELL was released following a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft at a later date.

26 Year Old From South Huron Arrested – Details Released

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – Driver facing impaired charge after single vehicle collision in Middlesex Centre

On September 14, 2025, at 3:08 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to Highbury Avenue North in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre for the report of a single vehicle rollover.

Investigation revealed a vehicle left the roadway, rolled and came to a stop on its roof.  

The driver fled the vehicle prior to police arrival, however, was located a short distance away on foot.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

As a result, Nichole MACKINNON, a 26-year-old of South Huron, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on October 29, 2025.

22 Year Old From Palmerston Arrested

(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit lay five provincial offences to driver.

On September 13, 2025, at approximately 7:45 p.m., the Wellington County OPP Traffic Management Unit were conducting a proactive traffic enforcement initiative and noticed an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) travelling on the side of the road, with a small child within the lap of the driver. A traffic stop was initiated on King Street within Palmerston.

As a result of the investigation, a 22-year-old of Palmerston is charged under the Highway Traffic Act and the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with:

  • Fail to ensure infant properly secured
  • Operate a motor vehicle without insurance
  • Drive motor vehicle, no plates
  • Operate unsafe vehicle
  • Driver fail to surrender licence

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Provincial Offences Court – Guelph at a later date.
