44 Year Old Repeat Offender Arrested For Break & Enter #3Strikes

(MIDLAND, ON) – What started off as a wellness check at a Manley Street resulted in officers from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arresting an individual at the scene for a break and enter offence.

Officers attended the residence after a the OPP Communication Centre took a call at approximately 10:32 a.m. May 6, 2025 and upon arrival located an individual who had forcibly entered a rear yard shed at the address.

Philip PICKARD 44 years of Tay Township was arrested at the scene and transported to Detachment to be processed on the following criminal charges.

  • Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

And faces further charges while being held at Detachment after tossing a noxious substance in the cell and holding areas requiring an external cleaning service.

The accused remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date.

36 Year Old Repeat Offender Arrested Again

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a South Huron resident with several criminal driving offences following a traffic stop in the Municipality of South Huron, Crediton, on April 26th, 2025. 

Just after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025, Huron County OPP officers conducted a traffic stop on King Street South in South Huron. Police spoke to the driver and discovered that they were prohibited from driving a motor vehicle.

The driver was also arrested for impaired operation and transported to the South Bruce OPP detachment in Kincardine where they completed a series of tests with an OPP Drug Recognition Expert (DRE). As a result of the investigation, the accused has been charged as follows:

Mitchell HARRIS, 36 years-of-age from South Huron has been charged with:

–      Impaired Operation – alcohol and drug,

–      Operation while Prohibited – (three counts),

–      Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon,

–      Possession of Methamphetamine,

–      Fail to Comply with Release Order – (two counts),

–      Fail to Comply with Probation Order – (two counts).

The accused was additionally charged with Driving While Under Suspension – Highway Traffic Act.

The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for 45 days.

The accused was processed, held for a bail hearing, and later remanded into custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Jaysky BELL Was Arrested Again

(WEST NIPISSING, ON) – One person was arrested and charged with impaired driving and other criminal offences after receiving a traffic complaint

On Saturday May 3, 2025, at approximately 5:55 p.m., the Nipissing West Detachment of the OPP responded to a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver on Front Street, West Nipissing.

The vehicle was located, and the driver was arrested for impaired driving. The driver began resisting and assaulted an officer who was not injured.

As a result of the investigation, Jaysky BELL, 25 years-of-age, from West Nipissing, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Assault a Peace Officer
  • Resist Peace Officer
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Fail to comply with Probation Order
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Fail to surrender required documents

The accused was held for Bail Court and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on May 5, 2025, in North Bay.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

More Repeat Offenders Arrested #3Strikes

(NEW TECUMSETH, ON) – Officers from the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two individuals following a bail compliance investigation in the Town of New Tecumseth.

Back in February 2024 , the Nottawasaga Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) entered into an investigation when two brothers were found to be breaching several conditions on their court ordered release orders.

As a result of this investigation, on April 24 2025, the Nottawasaga OPP CRU with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a search warrant on a residence on King Street North in Alliston.

One individual was located in the home and arrested on scene while one individual was outstanding. Several items were seized such as scales, cellphones, knives, a replica fire arm, and a loaded shotgun with ammunition.

As a result of this investigation, Kody BERDAN, 36-years-old, of New Tecumseth, was arrested and charged with:

  • Failure to comply with release order – Five Counts
  • Possession of Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Careless storage of a Firearm -Two Counts
  • Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition, contrary to Prohibition Order -Two Counts
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm -Two Counts

On May 1 2025 the Nottawasaga CRU unit with the assistance of ERT, the Tactical Response Unit (TRU), and K9 were able to locate and arrest Darryl BERDAN, 40-years-old, of New Tecumseth, and charge with the following:

  • Failure to comply with release order – Four counts
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order – Ten Counts
  • Possession of Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine -Two Counts
  • Careless storage of a Firearm – Two Counts
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm – Two Counts
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon
  • Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition, contrary to Prohibition Order – Three Counts
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.00

The accused parties were both held for a bail hearing and are to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

Drug & Weapons Bust – Repeat Offender Arrested Again

(MIDLAND, ON) – As a result of an ongoing police investigation, members of the OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a search warrant at a Forest Harbour Parkway, Tay Township residential address at approximately 5:00 a.m. May 2, 2025.

CSCU investigators assisted by uniform OPP officers along with members of the OPP Tactical Rescue Unit (TRU), seized a considerable quantity of drug like substances believed to be cocaine, purple fentanyl, various prescription medications believed to be Oxycodone and Clonazepam, a .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun with a fully loaded clip, a quantity of various caliber ammunition a conducted energy weapon (CEW) and an expandable baton. Additionally, a quantity of Canadian currency, a number of cell phones and other related drug paraphernalia were also seized. (See attached photograph).

Investigators have arrested and charged Kevin MUNRO 42 years of Tay Township with the following charges contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada and who was held for a bail hearing and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date.

  • Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammo
  • Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 – in Canada
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada
  • Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order
  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm

And further with the following offences contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Opioid (other than heroin)
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid (other than heroin)

Also charged is a 34 year old female of Tay Township with the following criminal offences who was released to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date.

  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Weapon
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 – in Canada
  • Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammo
  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm

Teen Repeat Offender With Gun & Drugs Found Under Car #3Strikes

Waterloo Region, Ontario  Waterloo Regional Police have charged a male for multiple drug and firearm related offences in Kitchener.

On April 30, 2025, at approximately 12:20 a.m., Central Neighbourhood Police officers were on proactive patrol in the area of King Street East and Scott Street.

While on patrol, officers located a male who was wanted for previous criminal offences. The male fled from officers.

During the search for the suspect, which included the use of the Service’s canine unit, a firearm and a large quantity of suspected drugs were located. 

The K-9 Unit was able to track a suspect hiding underneath a vehicle and an arrest was made.

An 18-year-old male from Kitchener is being charged with multiple criminal offences including:

  • Escape lawful custody
  • Possession of a firearm for a dangerous purpose
  • Carry concealed weapon
  • Three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking schedule I substance
  • Fail to comply with a release order

The male was held for a bail hearing.

22 Year Old Repeat Offender From Listowel Arrested – Details Released

(NORTH PERTH, ON) – Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual with nine criminal offences after colliding with a police vehicle in the Municipality of North Perth.

On April 29, 2025, police responded to a call for a suspicious vehicle in the town of Listowel. Upon police arrival, the vehicle, which was identified as stolen, reversed into a police vehicle, before attempting to flee.

22-year-old Xavier RAITHBY of Listowel was charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:

  • Dangerous Operation
  • Flight from Police
  • Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
  • Failure to Comply with Probation Order (Two Counts)

RAITHBY was further charged with the following Highway Traffic Act offences:

  • Driving While Under Suspension (Two counts)

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing on April 30th, 2025, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford.

On April 25th, 2025, Huron County OPP officers were contacted regarding damage to a seating bench on Kingston in Goderich. The suspect was identified and arrested shortly after.

Home Invasion – Repeat Offender Arrested

(INVERARY, ON) – An individual has been arrested and charged following a home invasion incident and single vehicle collision.

Frontenac OPP responded to a serious incident on April 29, 2025, just after 7:30 p.m., at a residence in the Inverary area of South Frontenac Township. An individual had entered a residence and threatened the owners. The suspect fled the area in the homeowner’s vehicle, which was then involved in a rollover collision on Greenfield Road. The vehicle was engulfed in flames and the individual fled on foot.

South Frontenac Fire Rescue extinguished the vehicle fire and assisted with traffic control. Frontenac OPP officers, assisted by the OPP Emergency Response Team and the Canine Unit, contained the area and requested residents to shelter in place to assist with conducting a search for the individual.

Just after 8:30 p.m., the accused was located on Greenfield Road and taken into custody. He had sustained serious, but not life-threatening injuries from the collision.

Ethan THOMPSON , a 24-year-old from Mallorytown, has been charged with:

  • Robbery with theft.
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
  • Dangerous operation of a conveyance.
  • Theft of motor vehicle.
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.
  • Mischief – destroys or damages property.
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol or drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
  • Fail to remain at scene of collision.
  • Breach of probation order.
  • Drive motor vehicle – no licence.

The accused was released from custody and is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston, on June 10, 2025.

Repeat Offender Arrested In Goderich #3Strikes

(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual from Huron County following a mischief to a home under construction in the Town of Goderich.

On April 20, 2025, Huron County OPP officers were contacted regarding damage to a home on Elgin Avenue East in Goderich. The investigation revealed that someone had thrown rocks at the building, causing approximately $1,000 in damage. The suspect was identified by police and arrested in the area of the crime.

The accused has been charged as follows:

Edward LABRECHE, 29 years of age from No Fixed Address, has been charged with:

–      Mischief Under $5,000,

–      Fail to Comply with Probation Order.

The accused was processed, held for a bail hearing, and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on May 12th, 2025.

Leeann MCEATHRON Was Arrested Again

(BANCROFT, ON) – Members of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested one person for failing to comply with a probation order.

On Monday, April 28, 2025, shortly after 11:00 p.m., officers were investigating a disturbance in the Town of Bancroft. They determined that one of the parties was wanted on an outstanding warrant. The accused was arrested and transported back to the detachment.

Leeann MCEATHRON of Bancroft has been charged with two counts of failure to comply with a probation order.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on May 6, 2025.

(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – On April 27, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m. the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested a known person on Tokyo Crescent.

Police were conducting regular patrol duties when they recognized a person who had an arrest warrant for failing to attend court on March 4, 2025, to answer to previous drug related charges.     

David Jack (DJ) WILLETT, 34-years-old, of Elliot Lake, was arrested and charged with:

  • Failure to attend court while on Release Order
  • Failure to attend court after having appeared

The accused was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Blind River on April 28, 2025.

Child Sexually Assaulted – 35 Year Old Repeat Offender Arrested Again #PervertAlert

(KAPUSKASING, ON) A Kapuskasing resident has been arrested and charged in connection with a sexual assault involving a person under the age of 16.

On April 27, 2025, the James Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call reporting a sexual assault. Following an investigation, one person was arrested the same day.

As a result, a 35-year-old person from Kapuskasing was charged with:

·        Sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age – two counts

·        Sexual interference – two counts

·        Invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age – two counts

·        Causing a disturbance

·        Fail to comply with probation order – four counts

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kapuskasing on a future date. Due to the nature of the incident, the name of the accused will not be released in order to protect the identity of the victim.

Gary GARBUTT Was Arrested Again #RepeatOffender

(COLLINGWOOD, ON) – The Collingwood and Blue Mountains Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a local man with seven counts of mischief and one count of failing to comply with a probation order following a thorough investigation into a series of fibre optic wire-cutting incidents in Collingwood, ON.

Between February 16 and April 26, 2025, Collingwood OPP investigated seven separate incidents of mischief involving the deliberate cutting of Rogers and Bell Canada fibre wires on hydro poles at various locations throughout Collingwood. These acts disrupted essential communication services and posed risks to public safety.

In collaboration with community members, the Collingwood OPP identified 44-year-old Gary GARBUTT as the suspect. On April 26, 2025, GARBUTT was arrested by members of the Collingwood OPP and held for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice. This bail hearing occurred on April 27, 2025 with GARBUTT answering to the charges of:

  • Seven counts of Mischief under $5000under section 430(1)(a) of the Criminal Code 
  • One count of Failing to Comply with Probation Order under Section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code

Repeat Offender Arrested In Kincardine – Assault With Weapon, Etc. #3Strikes

(KINCARDINE, ON) – On April 17, 2025, at approximately 5:56 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a patron refusing to leave a licensed establishment along Queen Street, Municipality of Kincardine.

Officers attended and took the individual into custody without incident. Further investigation led to a series of criminal charges.

Robert THOMPSON, 54-years-old, of the Municipality of Kincardine was charged with:

  • Assault with a weapon, CC 267(a)
  • Fail to comply with Probation Order, CC 733.1(1)
  • Breach of Recognizance, CC 811
  • Fail to leave premises when directed, TPA 2(1)(b)

The accused was held for a bail hearing and subsequently remanded into custody.
