Troy MOREAU Was Arrested Again

(NORTH BAY, ON) – Driver failed to stop for police and then fled on foot. 

On July 2, 2024, at approximately 9:30 p.m. the North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were advised of a driving complaint on highway 11 Powassan. Upon locating the subject vehicle a short time later in Mattawa, the driver failed to stop for police and then fled on foot. Police were able to safely apprehend the driver who resisted arrest and was not co-operative with police.

The accused, Troy MOREAU, 53 years-of-age of Mattawa was charged with:

  • Fail to stop for police
  • Flight from peace officer
  • Resist Peace Officer
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in North Bay on July 3, 2024.

Bradley WHITE Was Arrested

(NORTH BAY, ON) – Police initiate a tandem traffic stop and safely apprehended the driver.

On June 29, 2024, shortly before 2:00 a.m., the North Bay OPP received a call reporting a southbound motorist on highway 11 that had taken a vehicle without consent of the owner.

Approximately half hour later police located the subject vehicle on highway 11 and safely conducted a tandem traffic stop.

Police arrested the driver and further investigation resulted in several charges.

The driver, Bradley WHITE, 31-years-of-age, of London, was charged with:

  • Take motor vehicle without consent
  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • BAC above zero – novice driver
  • Care or control of a motor vehicle with open container of alcohol
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Operation while prohibited

The accused is scheduled to appear at the North Bay Ontario Court on July 16, 2024.

Scott Weiler Was Arrested Again

(MEAFORD, ON) – The Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating three break and enters and one theft in the Municipality of Meaford. 

Between June 23, 2024, and June 24, 2024, the Grey Bruce OPP investigated a series of five break and enters on Albert Street, Parker Street and Birchwood Court. Thanks to the public the individual was identified.

On June 27, 2024, the Grey Bruce OPP located and arrested Scott Weiler, 36-years-old of Meaford. Weiler was charged with the following:

·      Mischief Under $5000

·      Break, enter a place – commit indictable offence

·      Fail to comply with probation order

The accused was held pending a bail hearing.

It is important for homeowners to report all break and enters to police.

Repeat Offender Arrested Again

(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – Police arrested two individuals as the result of a concerned citizen calling in a suspicious vehicle complaint.

On June 27, 2024, at approximately 12:30 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Oxford detachment were called to Peach Street in the Town of Tillsonburg for the report of a suspicious vehicle.

As a result of the investigation two individuals were charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:

Alexandria Batchelor a 26-year-old resident of East York was charged with:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000

Jordan OMALY a 27-year-old resident of Brampton was charged with:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000
  • Obstruct Peace Officer
  • Use, Deals, Acts on Forged Document
  • Fail to Comply with Release Order (two counts)

The accused individuals have been released and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Woodstock on July 30, 2024.

Steven GRANBERG Arrested Again

(SABLES-SPANISH RIVERS TOWNSHIP, ON) – One person has been arrested and charged after police received information about a stolen vehicle.

On June 26, 2024, at approximately 6:00 p.m., the Manitoulin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a stolen vehicle from Castle Street in Sables-Spanish Rivers Township. Police made attempts to locate the vehicle, but were unsuccessful.

Later that evening, the stolen vehicle entered the OPP detachment parking lot as the driver wanted to speak with police for an unrelated matter. The driver was subsequently arrested.

As a result of the investigation, Steven GRANBERG, 47-years-old from Spanish has been charged with: 

  • Possession property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Theft over $5,000 of a motor vehicle
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Fail to comply with probation order

The accused was held in custody to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Sudbury Bail Court on June 27, 2024.

Ahmad MOHAMMAD NAZIM Was Arrested Again

(OTTAWA, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)-led Provincial Auto Theft and Towing (PATT) Team has arrested one person in connection with an investigation into re-vinned stolen vehicles in the Ottawa area.

In February 2024, an investigation began after a stolen vehicle was GPS tracked to a location in Saint Isidore and recovered. On June 12, 2024, members of the PATT Team and OPP East Region Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at a location in Ottawa.

Police seized break-in and electronic tools indicative of auto theft, fraudulent vehicle ownerships of re-vinned stolen vehicles and two cell phones.

As a result of the investigation, Ahmad MOHAMMAD NAZIM, age 34, of Ottawa, has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  •         Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  •         Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence – three counts
  •         Failure to comply with release order – two counts
  •         Failure to comply with probation order – three counts
  •         Possession of break-in instrument

The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Ottawa on June 27, 2024.

Clayton WHITE Was Arrested Again

(HUNTSVILLE, ON) – The Huntsville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver who failed to remain at the scene of a collision.    

On June 23, 2024, shortly before 6:30 a.m., officers of the Huntsville OPP detachment responded to a report of a single motor-vehicle collision on HWY 141 at Muskoka Road 35, in the Town of Huntsville. Officers located a vehicle in the ditch with significant damage. Witnesses advised that driver and an occupant had left the scene.  

On June 24, 2024, shortly after 9:00 p.m., police responded to a theft in progress on  Highway 60 in Algonquin Highlands Township. Upon police arrival, it was determined that the person involved was the driver of the motor vehicle from the day prior and was subsequently arrested.

Clayton WHITE, 35-years-old of Huntsville was charged with:

·      Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code- 2 counts

·      Mischief – destroys or damages property – 2 counts

·      Criminal Negligence Cause Bodily Harm

·      Theft under $5000

·      Dangerous operation

·      Theft of Motor Vehicle

·      Fail to Comply with Probation Order

·      Failure to stop after accident

·      Drive motor vehicle, no plates

·      Driving while under suspension

·      Drive motor vehicle – no licence

Minor injuries were sustained as a result of the collision.   

The accused was held in custody for a Bail Hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge.

Natalino PETRINI-WOOLLEY Was Arrested Again

(NORTH GLENGARRY TWP, ON) – A 32-year-old man is facing numerous charges after a single-vehicle collision near Alexandria involving a stolen vehicle.

Officers with the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SD&G) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded June 22, 2024, just before 1:00 p.m., to the collision on County Road 34 in the Fassifern area. The driver had fled on foot and a firearm was found in the car.

Members of the OPP Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit joined SD&G officers in the search, which also included an OPP remotely Piloted Aerial System (RPAS). The search continued for the rest of the day but was scaled back when it appeared the male had left the area.

The accused was arrested June 23, 2024. after a resident south of Alexandria contacted police to report a suspicious person.

Natalino PETRINI-WOOLLEY, or North Algona Wilberforce, near Eganville, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Obstructing a peace officer
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
  • Unauthorizes possession of a firearm
  • Occupant of a vehicle knowing there was a firearm
  • Fail to comply with a probation order – three counts
  • Failure to comply with a release order
  • Careless driving
  • Driving while under suspension – two counts
  • Fail to remain at the scene
  • Failing to properly wear a seatbelt
  • Use a plate not authorized for a vehicle

The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on June 24, 2024.

Iqbal SINGH Was Arrested Again

(CALEDON, ON) – Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver with impaired operation.

On June 20, 2024, shortly after 2:30 a.m., Caledon OPP responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Plummer Road, near Station Road, in the Town of Caledon. Officers attended and met with the driver. During the investigation, grounds were formed that the driver’s ability to operation a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.

Iqbal SINGH, 51, of Brampton, was charged with:

• Operation while impaired – alcohol

• Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code

• Failure to comply with release order

• Failure or refusing to comply with demand

The accused is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on July 11, 2024, to answer to the charges. The vehicle was impounded for a period of 45 days.

Simply put, the best way to avoid impaired driving is to not take a chance. Plan another way home:

• Have a designated driver

• Use public transit

• Call a friend or family member for a ride

• Call a taxi or ride share

• Stay overnight

Shawn Ball Arrested Again – Assault

(SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – One individual is facing charges after the police received a call for service of an assault that occurred at a residence in South Bruce Peninsula.

On June 17, 2024, at 4:48 p.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an assault that occurred on Purple Valley Road in South Bruce Peninsula. It was reported that the victim was hit on the head and then the suspect left the area in a vehicle. Police located the individual a short time later. The victim received minor injuries.

As a result, Shawn Ball, 39-year-old from Georgian Bluffs was charged with the following:

·      Assault with a weapon

·      Failure to comply with release order

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Joel Viau Was Arrested Again

(NORTH BAY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged one person from Powassan with multiple criminal offences.

On August 9, 2023, the North Bay Detachment OPP began an investigation regarding the theft of commercial grade rental equipment from various rental companies in Southern Ontario. The heavy equipment was rented, the Global Positioning Transmitters (GPS) were removed, and the products were re-sold by the accused. The reported loss was valued at $94,000 dollars.

On June 18, 2024, members of the North Bay Detachment OPP Criminal Investigations Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Main Street in Powassan in relation to the fraud investigation. During the search, officers located a large quantity of illicit drugs, including substances suspected to be fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, psilocybin (mushrooms) and oxycodone, with a total estimated street value of $20,000. Officers also seized over $3300.00 in Canadian currency.

As a result of the investigation, Joel Viau, 47 years-of-age from Powassan, was charged with the following criminal offences:

  • Fraud Over $5000
  • Participation in criminal organization
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Fentanyl
  • Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
  • Breach of conditional sentence order

The accused was held for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice.

Lucas YOUNG Was Arrested Again – Sexual Assault

(Perth, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad have located and arrested a wanted individual.

An arrest warrant had been issued earlier for an individual on numerous outstanding offences. Officers from the ROPE Squad and Lanark OPP Detachment had been searching the area and successfully located the accused today in Perth.

Lucas YOUNG, age 34 of Drummond-North Elmsley Township, is charged with:

  • Sexual assault
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
  • Uttering threats to cause damage to property
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
  • Careless use of a firearm
  • Failure to comply with a release order – two counts

The accused will remain in custody, pending bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth.

Repeat Offender Arrested Again

(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – Police located a stolen motorcycle after initiating a traffic stop in Zorra Township.

On June 13, 2024, at approximately 11:55 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Oxford detachment were on general patrol when they observed a motorcyclist in contravention of the Highway Traffic Act.

Police confirmed that the motorcycle had been reported stolen from London Ontario.

Both the driver, and passenger were arrested and charged.

The driver, William TROJEK a 52-year-old resident of London was charged with the following offences:

  • Careless Driving
  • Driving Vehicle While Under Suspension
  • Use Plate Not Authorized for Vehicle
  • Drive Without Proper Rear Light
  • Possess Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The passenger, Brittney PARTLO a 33-year-old resident of Ingersoll was charged with:

  • Possess Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.

The accused individuals have been released and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Woodstock on July 30, 2024.

Drug Bust – Names Released

(SIOUX LOOKOUT, ON) – Officers from the Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged two local residents for drug trafficking offences in the municipality.

At approximately 12:00 noon on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, officers received a call for assistance at a local hotel. While responding, they located two individuals breaching court orders. Following investigation, police have seized suspected illicit substances including methamphetamine and cocaine, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and Canadian currency.

As a result of this investigation, Netania DUBROY, 20 years old, and Caroleen BEARDY, 24 years old, both from the Municipality of Sioux Lookout, have been arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of a Schedule substance for the purpose of trafficking, and
  • Failure to comply with Release Order- two counts.

BEARDY faces additional charges including:

  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime,
  • Obstruct Peace Officer.

Both accused have been remanded into custody at the Kenora District Jail and are scheduled to appear before the Kenora Ontario Court of Justice on June 14, 2024.

Jeffrey BRUNNER & Michael COOPER Arrested

(PERTH COUNTY AND HURON COUNTY, ON) – On June 13, 2024, members of the Huron-Perth Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with the Wellington and Grey-Bruce CSCU teams, and the West Region Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), made two arrests following a drug trafficking investigation in Perth and Huron Counties.

The Huron-Perth CSCU executed two Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrants – one at a residence on Trafalgar St. Mitchell, West Perth, and at a residence on Ainley St., Brussels, Huron East.

As a result of the search warrants, two people were arrested and two were charged. Police seized purple and yellow fentanyl, methamphetamine, psilocybin, Canadian currency, and drug trafficking paraphernalia. Police also seized a Suzuki motorcycle, believed to be stolen.

The total estimated value of the drugs is approximately $25,000. The total estimated value of the seized property is $3700, and currency is just over $1600.

Michael COOPER, 42, of Huron East, has been charged with:

–      Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

–      Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid (fentanyl)

–      Obstruct Peace Officer

–      Altering/Destroying/Removing a Vehicle Identification Number

–      Fail to Comply with Probation Order

Jeffrey BRUNNER, 50, of West Perth, has been charged with:

–      Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (fentanyl)

–      Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

–      Possession of a Schedule III Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking

The accused parties were held in custody pending a bail hearing.

The investigation is continuing.
