Pervert Alert: Jeremy BERNIER Facing Numerous Charges

(SOUTH PORCUPINE, ON) – One person was arrested on 19 outstanding criminal charges after warrant was executed.

On July 25, 2024, at approximately 11:00 a.m., the North East Region (NER) Bail Support Team of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the support of the South Porcupine OPP and Timmins Police, executed a warrant on Main Street in South Porcupine.

Jeremy BERNIER, 19 years of age from South Porcupine, was arrested and charged with:

·        Sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age (three counts)

·        Sexual interference

·        Invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age

·        Forcible confinement

·        Assault

·        Failure to comply with undertaking (eight counts)

·        Failure to attend court

·        Failure to attend court after having appeared (two counts)

·        Failure to attend for fingerprints

The accused was transported to the Kapuskasing OPP detachment, as all offences occurred in Kapuskasing, between September 2020 and March 2023.

The accused was released from bail court on July 26, and is next scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kapuskasing on August 12, 2024.

Meaford Murder Update: Second Person Charged

(MEAFORD, ON) – A second person has been charged in connection with an ongoing homicide investigation in Meaford.

On May 3, 2020, at approximately 4:00 p.m., the Grey Bruce Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a missing person report for 25-year-old Emerson SPRUNG, who was last seen leaving his family residence in Meaford. His remains were located on May 6, 2020.

On July 25, 2024, as a result of the ongoing investigation by the Grey Bruce OPP Crime Unit under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, a second person was charged.

Laurel CAMPBELL, age 32 of Meaford, has been arrested and charged with accessory after the fact to murder, contrary to section 240 of the Criminal Code.

The accused has been held for a bail hearing and was released. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on September 19, 2024.

Bradley KLAVER Was Arrested

(LAMBTON SHORES, ON) – A traffic stop for speeding led to one individual being arrested and charged.

On July 23, 2024, just before 8:30 p.m., a member of Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Lakeshore Road, Municipality of Lambton Shores.

As a result of the investigation, Bradley KLAVER, 40-year-old of London, was charged with the following:

  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on August 27, 2024, in the City of Sarnia to speak to the charges.

Hayden GAGNON – Drunk Driving

(KAPUSKASING, ON) – A traffic stop in Kapuskasing for excessive smoke, led to the driver being charged for impaired driving.

On July 19, 2024, at approximately 2:30 a.m., the James Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop in a parking lot on Riverside Drive in Kapuskasing, on a pickup truck that was generating a large amount of black exhaust smoke.

Upon speaking with the driver, police determined that they had been consuming an alcoholic beverage. The driver was arrested and transported to the Kapuskasing detachment for further testing. 

As a result of the investigation, Hayden GAGNON, 21 years of age of Smooth Rock Falls, was charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·        Having care or control of a motor vehicle with open container of liquor

·        Unreasonable smoke

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on September 9, 2024, in Kapuskasing. The accused was also issued an additional 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

Judy BELLEFEUILLE – Drunk Driving

(SERVOS TOWNSHIP, ON) – A driver was arrested and charged with impaired driving after police conducted a traffic stop with a wrong way vehicle.

On July 25, 2024, shortly before 7:00 p.m., the Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a vehicle travelling north bound in the south bound lanes on Highway 69, Servos Township, south of Sudbury.

Police were able to safely stop the vehicle and the driver was arrested for impaired driving, then transported to the OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Judy BELLEFEUILLE, 42 years-of-age, from French River, was charged with, operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), operation while impaired – alcohol and dangerous operation.

The accused was release and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on September 4, 2024, in Sudbury.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Spousal Assault With Weapon #WaitInTheTruck

(NORTH PERTH, ON) – The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person following a recent intimate partner violence investigation in the Municipality of North Perth.

On July 24, 2024, police began an intimate partner violence investigation following a report of an assault that had occurred in Listowel that resulted in minor injuries to one person.

A 29-year-old resident of North Perth was arrested and charged with:

–      Assault – Spousal

–      Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm (two counts)

–      Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

–      Assault with a Weapon

–      Failure to Comply with Release Order – other than to attend court

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Christopher LEDUC – Impaired Driving

(ORILLIA, ON) – The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a male driver after conducting a traffic stop.

On July 25, 2024, just after 10:00 p.m., officers of the Orillia OPP were on patrol in the area of Coldwater Rd and Emily St. in the City of Orillia when a motor vehicle was observed with its high beams on approaching police. As a result, police conducted a traffic stop observing the vehicle hit the right-side curb. Through investigation and speaking with the male driver, police determined the driver was impaired and, on a suspension, not to drive for the last 21 years.

As a result, Christopher LEDUC 46-year-old, of Victoria Harbour has been charged with:

  • ·      Adult Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • ·      Adult Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • ·      Adult Poss of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine

Jacob MASSECAR – Drunk Driving, Firearm, Etc.

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual was charged following an investigation into an impaired driving incident in Simcoe.

At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2024, an officer from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment was on patrol when a vehicle near the intersection of Queen Street North and Queensway West in Simcoe, Norfolk County, drew their attention.

After stopping the vehicle and conducting a roadside sobriety test, the driver was taken into custody without incident.

During a search of the vehicle, a replica firearm was discovered and seized.

Charged with the following alleged offences is 19-year-old Jacob MASSECAR of Norfolk County:

  • Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt,
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs,
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus),
  • Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero,
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.

Paul MOODY – Drunk Driving

(ORILLIA, ON) – Members from the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid Criminal charges after responding to a traffic complaint from a community member near Hwy 12 and Division Rd in the Township of Oro-Medonte. Police received information that a White Ford 150 was swerving all over the road, hitting a reflector signs in the process. After patrolling the area police were able to locate a truck matching that description at Prices Corner Gas Bar. Officers entered into an impaired driving investigation placing a male driver under arrest.

Paul MOODY, 38-year-old of New Tecumseth, ON was charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 plus
  • Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
  • Dangerous Operation

In addition to the charges, the driver received a 30-day licence suspension, and the motor vehicle was impounded for 14-days.

The Orillia Detachment would like to remind the public that drivers and other road users can significantly contribute to safer roads by avoiding taking unnecessary risks and complying with all traffic laws.

More Spousal Abuse #WaitInTheTruck

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – Four individuals were charged following investigations into separate incidents of intimate partner violence.

At approximately 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2024, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment investigated a dispute at an address in Norfolk County.

It was determined that a dispute between two individuals on the premises led to a call to the police.

During the investigation, officers witnessed one individual physically assaulting another, leading to their subsequent arrest without incident.

Officers later discovered that the assailant had been physically assaulted by their partner before police arrived.

Consequently, the other individual was also taken into custody without incident.

Charged with the following alleged offences is a 24-year-old and a 27-year-old, both from Brantford, Ontario:

  • Assault – spousal,
  • Being intoxicated in public place.

The accused individuals are scheduled to appear at a later date at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Simcoe.

At approximately 4:49 a.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024, the Norfolk County OPP Detachment investigated an assault at an address in Norfolk County.

It was determined that a dispute between two individuals on the premises escalated to a physical altercation, resulting in minor injuries.

Consequently, both individuals were taken into custody without incident.

Charged with the following alleged offence is a 22-year-old individual from Norfolk County:

  • Assault causing bodily harm – spousal.

Charged with the following alleged offence is a 30-year-old individual from Norfolk County:

  • Assault – spousal.

The accused individuals are scheduled to appear at a later date at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Simcoe.

2 Arrested In Drug Bust – Names Released

(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – Two individuals have been arrested after search warrants in the Town of Ingersoll.

On July 24th, members of the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Oxford, Brant, Elgin and Middlesex Community Street Crime Units and West Region Emergency Response Team executed residential search warrants on Thames Street North, in the Town of Ingersoll.

Two individuals were arrested and taken into custody.

Walter SWEET a 57-year-old resident of Ingersoll and Crystal PHILLIPS a 33-year-old resident of Ingersoll were charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (three counts)
  • Possession of a Prohibited device or Ammunition

As a further result of the investigation, suspected fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine was seized. The approximate street value of the seized controlled substances is over $15000.

The accused individuals have been remanded into custody and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, located in Woodstock, on a later date.

Drug Bust – Matthew TSIMINOS Arrested

(SHELBURNE, ON) – Officers from the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) seized a quantity of drugs and charged an individual after conducting a search warrant at a residence in the Town of Shelburne.

On July 19, 2024, members of the Dufferin Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), along with Caledon and Nottawasaga CSCU executed a search warrant at a home in Shelburne. The search warrant resulted in the arrest of one male who is facing multiple charges. In addition, the officers seized a quantity of various drug related items. 

Matthew TSIMINOS, a 39-year-old from Shelburne has been charged with:

·        Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

·        Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 – in Canada

·        Adult Breach of Conditional Sentence Order

The following property was seized:

·        Cash

·        Cocaine

·        Replica handgun

·        Cell phones

·        Drug trafficking indicia

 The accused individual was held for a Bail Hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville as he was breaching his conditional sentence. The male was also wanted by Barrie Police and Nottawasaga OPP on unrelated charges.

Maikayla BURT – Drunk Driving

(GREENSTONE, ON) – Impaired operation charges have been laid following a traffic stop.

On July 19, 2024, just before 12:30 a.m., members of the Greenstone Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) initiated a traffic stop on a motor vehicle for a traffic violation on Main Street in the Municipality of Greenstone.

Through investigation, it was determined that the driver of the motor vehicle had been impaired by alcohol. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Greenstone OPP Detachment for further testing.

As a result, Maikayla BURT, 25-years-old, of Hannon, has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with:

·        Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

·        Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Greenstone on August 15, 2024.

Allen BOSCH – Assault With Weapon

(LAMBTON) – On July 19, 2024, at approximately 12:54 p.m., Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a suspicious vehicle at an address on Egremont Road, Plympton-Wyoming.

An officer on patrol observed the subject vehicle, the driver displayed erratic driving behavior. When a traffic stop was attempted, the vehicle failed to stop for police. 

At approximately 3:35 p.m., a Lambton County officer was approached by a community member and made aware of a second report of a suspicious vehicle at an address on Little Ireland Road, Alvinston. The vehicle was captured on video surveillance which matched the vehicle from the first incident.

After further investigation, on July 21, 2024, the driver was identified and subsequently arrested.

As a result, Allen BOSCH, 38-year-old of Sarnia was charged with the following offences:

  • Dangerous operation
  • Flight from peace officer
  • Assault with a weapon

The accused was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Sarnia.

Michael LESSARD – Impaired Driving, Meth, ETc.

(GREATER NAPANEE, ON) – The Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a person with multiple offences.

On July 23, 2024, at approximately 4:00 a.m., officers were dispatched to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Oliver Side Road near County Road 1 West in Greater Napanee. It was reported that a vehicle had been parked in a live lane, running, for an extended period of time. Officers responded and located the vehicle and driver. Officers spoke to the driver of the vehicle who was subsequently arrested and transported to detachment for further testing. As part of the investigation, a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) officer was utilized.

Further investigation revealed the vehicle to have been stolen. A baton and a quantity of suspected methamphetamine was also seized.

As a result, Michael LESSARD, age 40, of Napanee was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – drugs
  • Dangerous operation
  • Operation while prohibited under the criminal code – 17 counts
  • Possession of prohibited device or ammunition for dangerous purpose
  • Possession of a schedule I substance – methamphetamine
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Driving while under suspension

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
