Nathan HILL Arrested For Drunk Driving

(BRANT, ON) – On February 26, 2024, at 11:09 p.m., members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting R.I.D.E. on Cockshutt Road in Brant County when a vehicle stopped. 

The driver was exhibiting signs of impairment. They were placed under arrest and taken to a Qualified Intoxilizer Technician for breath tests.

Nathan HILL, 31-years-old, from the County of Brant has been charged with the following.

–      Operation While Impaired and,

–      Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on March 14, 2024, to answer to the charges.

An impaired driving charge includes an immediate 90-day driver’s license suspension and an immediate 7-day vehicle impoundment.

Devon HUSK From Kincardine Arrested

(WALKERTON, ON) – On February 25, 2024, at 10:04 p.m., members of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting R.I.D.E. along McNab Street in Walkerton when a vehicle stopped. 

The driver was exhibiting signs of impairment. They were placed under arrest and taken to a Qualified Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) testing.

Devon HUSK, 25-years-old, from the Municipality of Kincardine was charged with Impaired Driving.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton on April 10, 2024, to answer to the charges.

An impaired driving charge includes an immediate 90-day driver’s license suspension and an immediate 7-day vehicle impoundment.

Drug Bust – SCOTT, NEIL, TEGGART & WHITING

(ORANGEVILLE, ON) – Officers from the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) seized a quantity of drugs and charged four individuals after conducting a search warrant at a residence in the Town of Orangeville.

On February 22, 2024, members of the Dufferin Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), along with Dufferin uniform members and Caledon CSCU executed a search warrant at a home on Fourth Avenue in Orangeville. The search warrant resulted in the arrest of four individuals who are facing multiple charges. In addition, the officers seized a quantity of various drugs.  

Jeremy SCOTT, 42-year-old from Orangeville has been charged with:

·        Possession of a Schedule I substance – Opioid

·        Theft under $5000

·        Possession of property obtained by crime – under $5000

Kendra NEIL, 30-year-old of no fixed address

·        Theft under $5000

·        Possession of property obtained by crime – under $5000

·        Fail to comply with release order

David TEGGART, 46-year-old from Melancthon has been charged with:

·        Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine

·        Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine

·        Possession of a Schedule I substance – Opioid

Karen WHITING 47-year-old from Orangeville has been charged with:

·        Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine

·        Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine

·        Possession of a Schedule I substance – Opioid – (two counts)

·        Possession of a Schedule III substance

·        Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime – under $5000

The following property was seized:

·        Methamphetamine

·        Fentanyl pills

·        Psilocybin

·        $430 – Canadian currency

·        Assorted stolen tools

Del AINSWORTH Arrested For Assault

(TOWNSHIP OF HAMILTON, ON) – The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have made an arrest for an assault.

On February 23, 2024, at approximately 1:10 p.m., Northumberland OPP received a call regarding an individual who was in distress on Workman Road in the Township of Hamilton.

Officers attended the scene and the victim was treated for minor injuries by Emergency Medical Services (EMS). It was determined that two persons engaged in a confrontation while in a vehicle, leading to the physical assault of one of them. The accused had left the area prior to police arrival and as a result of the investigation, an individual was identified.

On February 25, 2024, Northumberland OPP made an arrest in relation to the incident.

Del AINSWORTH, 60-years-old, from Oshawa, has been charged with:

  • Assault
  • Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm.

The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date.

Nichole BARKMAN-LANDS – Drunk Driving

(VAN HORNE TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Dryden Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment have arrested and charged one individual with impaired operation.  

On February 24, 2024, at approximately 2:00 p.m., members of the Dryden OPP Detachment responded to a report of a suspected impaired driver on Larson Bay Drive in Van Horne Township.

Through investigation, it was determined that the driver of the motor vehicle had been impaired by alcohol. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Dryden OPP Detachment for further testing.

As a result, Nichole BARKMAN-LANDS, 35-years-old, of Dryden, has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·        Operation while Impaired – alcohol and drugs

·        Having Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with Liquor Readily Available

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Dryden on March 18, 2024.

Ashleigh ABRAM – Impaired Driving

ONEIDA NATION OF THE THAMES FIRST NATION, ON) – Driver charged with Impaired after vehicle leaves roadway and enters ditch.

On February 26, 2024, at 1:59 p.m., members of the Oneida Nation Police and the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a single vehicle collision on hazel Road in Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation.

It was determined the driver had previously consumed alcohol and was placed under arrest without incident.

As a result, Ashleigh ABRAM, a 38-year-old of Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Failure or refusal to comply with demand

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on April 15, 2024.

The Middlesex OPP wants to remind the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately.

WHITEHEAD Arrested For Drunk Driving

(KINLOSS TWP, ON) – On February 24, 2024, at 10:45 p.m., a South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol along Bruce County Road 1 in Kinloss Township stopped a motor vehicle.

The driver was found to have been drinking alcohol. They were placed under arrest and taken to a Qualified Intoxilizer Technician for breath tests.

Steven WHITEHEAD, 25-years-old, from the Township of Huron Kinloss was charged with:

  • Impaired Driving
  • Operate over 80 milligrams

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton on April 10, 2024, to answer to the charges.

Berry HILLIARD & Ryan O’KANE – Theft

(LANSDOWNE, ON) – The Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two people following a theft investigation.

On February 25, 2024, just before 2:00 a.m., Leeds County OPP officers were conducting ongoing proactive patrols in Front Leeds-Lansdowne Township, following several reports of suspicious activity.

Two men were observed within the lightly forested area. The Emergency Response Team and the area Canine Unit assisted in arresting the two. Copper wire and tools used to obtain the wire were seized.

Berry HILLIARD, age 53, and Ryan O’KANE, age 45, both from Kingston, are facing the following Criminal Code charges:

  • Theft Under $5000 – one count
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000 – one count

Both individuals were released by way of an Undertaking and are scheduled to appear in the Brockville Ontario Court of Justice on April 5, 2024, to answer to these charges.

Julien MARTEL Arrested

(SOUTH GLENGARRY, ON) – Members of the Stormont, Dundas and Grenville (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have recovered a stolen vehicle on Old Highway-2.

On February 26, 2024, shortly before 12:00 p.m., officers from SD&G, Grenville OPP and the RCMP, assisted by an OPP Canine Unit, located a stolen vehicle and the driver who fled on foot in South Glengarry Township. Further investigation revealed that the 2023 Ford F-150 was stolen from the Greater Toronto Area. 

Julien MARTEL, 25-years-old from St-Sophie, Quebec was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
  • Mischief – Interfere with lawful use, enjoyment, or operation of property-over $5000.
  • Possession Break-In Instruments

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on April 3, 2024.

Thomas MERRIMAN – Arson & Theft

(TOWNSHIP OF CRAMAHE, ON) – The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have made an arrest in relation to a person wanted for separate incidents of arson and theft.

On October 31, 2023, Police responded to a call regarding an item of furniture that had been set on fire outside an address on King Street East in Colborne. The accused had left the area prior to police arrival.

On November 8, 2023, a complaint was made regarding theft from a commercial premises on King Street East in Colborne. The victim had discovered that the incident had occurred earlier in the day and reported to Police.

As a result of both investigations, an individual was identified and officers attended an address in Colborne where they believed the accused to be.

On February 20, 2024, Northumberland OPP made an arrest in relation to both incidents.

Thomas MERRIMAN, 29-years-old, of Colborne, was charged with the following:

–      Theft under $5,000 – shoplifting

–      Arson – damage to property

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.

Ahmed OUMALLOUK & Abdelaziz SENOUCI Arrested

(HAWKESBURY, ON) – The Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two individuals after a vehicle failed to stop for police.

On February 27, 2024, at approximately 03:35 a.m. on Highway 417, an OPP officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle at mile marker 62 in The Nation municipality. The vehicle failed to stop.

At approximately 04:30 a.m. on Highway 417 near mile marker 4, the same vehicle was stopped by officers using a tire deflation device.

As a result, 19-year-old male Ahmed OUMALLOUK from Montreal was arrested and charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada (CC):

  • CC 320.17 Adult flight from peace officer
  • CC 353(1)(b) Adult possessing automobile master key
  • CC 145(5)(a) Adult failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court
  • CC 351(1) Adult possession break in instruments
  • CC 88 Adult possession of weapon for dangerous purpose

Abdelaziz SENOUCI, a 21-year-old male from Montreal, was also arrested and charged with the following under the Criminal Code of Canada (CC):

  • CC 353(1)(b) Adult possessing automobile master key
  • CC 733.1(1) Adult fail to comply with probation order – 2 counts
  • CC 355(b) Adult possession property obtained by crime under $5000
  • CC 351(1) Adult possession break in instruments
  • CC 88 Adult possession of weapon for dangerous purpose

Both males were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in court on March 20, 2024 at the L’Orignal Court of Justice.

Cole RECOLLET – Drunk Driving


(SAGAMOK FIRST NATION, ON)
 – One person has been arrested and charged following a call for service in Sagamok First Nation.

On February 24, 2024, shortly after 5:00 a.m., the Manitoulin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint on Ironwood Street in Sagamok First Nation.

Police located the vehicle of the traffic complaint on Sagamok Road and conducted a traffic stop. Upon speaking with the driver, police determined the driver had consumed alcoholic beverages. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported back to the OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Cole RECOLLET, 19-years-old from Birch Island has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
  • Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on April 15, 2024.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Gilbert Coles – Drunk Driving, No Insurance

(SOUTHGATE, ON) – A Southgate individual is facing charges after an Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) System notification.

On February 23, 2024, at 1:04 p.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were patrolling Victoria Street East in Southgate. The officer received an ALPR notification for unauthorized plates. The officer conducted a traffic stop. As police were speaking to the driver, the driver was displaying signs of impairment. The driver provided a sample of breath into an Approved Screening Device (ASD) which registered a fail. The driver was transported to the OPP Detachment in Chatsworth for further testing.

Gilbert Coles, 62-year-old from Southgate was charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on March 7, 2024.

If you plan on drinking or consuming drugs, plan to not drive. Instead, arrange for a designated driver, take a taxi or public transit, or come up with another plan that takes impaired driving out of the picture.

Attempt Murder

(PEMBROKE, ON.) – The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual after a shooting incident in Pembroke.

On February 23, 2024, just before 6:30 a.m., OPP responded to an Intimate Parter Violence (IPV) incident involving a shooting at a residence on McKenzie Street. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result of this incident a 67-year-old Pembroke resident has been charged with the following Criminal Code (CC) offence:

·        Attempt to commit murder using a firearm

The accused was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice. He remains in custody with a future court date. The name of the accused is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim as this is an IPV incident.

Stephen Gordon – Drunk Driving, Trespass, Etc.

(GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On February 24, 2024, at 3:18 a.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a break and enter in progress on the 12th Concession B in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

The OPP attended and located an individual inside a workshop. The individual told police that he drove there. Police located the individual’s vehicle on the roadway. While officers were speaking to the individual, the individual was displaying signs of impairment.

Stephen Gordon, 24-year-old from Grey Highlands was charged with:

·      Trespass at night

·      Break, enter a place – with intent to commit indictable offence

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on March 21, 2024.
