Brittany CONRAD – Drunk Driving

(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) – On November 21, 2024, at approximately 8:41 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a motor vehicle collision along Bruce Road 3, Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.

On arrival, officers located a single vehicle in the ditch. The investigating officer detected signs of impairment from the driver. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the South Bruce OPP detachment for further testing.

Brittany CONRAD, 32-years-old, of Hanover was charged with:

  • Impaired Operation (80 plus), CC 320.14(1)(b)
  • Dangerous Operation, CC 320.13(1)

The accused is set to appear in the Walkerton Court of Justice on January 8, 2025.

Aaron MITRO – Sexual Assault, Etc.

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual has been charged in connection with an ongoing historical sexual assault investigation.

At approximately 8:35 a.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2024, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment began investigating a report of a sexual assault that took place between 2016 and 2019 at a Norfolk County address.

As a result, one individual was taken into custody without incident.

46-year-old Aaron MITRO of Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Sexual assault,
  • Sexual interference,
  • Invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age.

The accused has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Friday, November 22, 2024.

The Norfolk County OPP Crime Unit continues to investigate, as investigators believe there may be additional victims. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Norfolk County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Barrett WARDER – Impaired Driving

(PARRY SOUND, ON) – The West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged one person with impaired driving.

On November 15, 2024, at approximately 12:00 a.m. the West Parry Sound OPP were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) check on Parry Sound Drive in the Town of Parry Sound. As a vehicle approached, and officers began an impaired driving investigation the driver fled the scene. Officers were able to identify, locate and arrested the driver.

Barrett WARDER, 38 years-of-age of Parry Sound Ontario was charged with:

  • Flight from a peace officer
  • Operation while impaired
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Obstruct peace officer
  • Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on December 19, 2024. The accused was also issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS).

Police Ask Public To Avoid Downtown Listowel

(NORTH PERTH, ON) – In the early morning of November 23, 2024, the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance in Listowel. The public will see increased police presence in downtown Listowel.

Residents in the area are asked to avoid the area for this active investigation.

There is no threat to public safety.

Rising Tensions in North Huron: Wingham Resident Arrested Following Confrontation At Town Hall #Heroes #TakeBackOurCountry

(NORTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating an incident that took place on Josephine Street in the Town of Wingham, Township of North Huron on Thursday November 21, 2024.  

On November 21, 2024, at approximately 9:30 a.m., a Wingham resident attended the North Huron Township Municipal office and interacted with staff.

Just after 10:00 a.m., police were contacted to investigate threats that were made by the individual. Investigators were able to identify and locate the suspect who was arrested just after 12:30 p.m.

Gregory LYNNE, 41 years of age of North Huron has been charged with:

–      Uttering Threats to Cause Bodily Harm or Death,

–      Criminal Harassment.

The accused has been held in custody for a bail hearing appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Brandon David HAMILTON Was Arrested Again

(MIDLAND,ON) – A series of vehicle entries followed by the unlawful use of stolen credit cards has resulted in numerous charges after a number of recent investigations by the OPP for a Midland resident.

Several members of the Southern Georgian Bay OPP Detachment responded to calls from victims calling the OPP Communication Centre reporting unlawful vehicle entries followed by the unlawful use of credit cards removed from those entered vehicles. These occurrences were reported between November 12-20, 2024 ranging from locations on Fuller Avenue, Manly Street, Hugel Avenue, Bay Street, and Ellen Street all in the Town of Midland.

Through investigation of surveillance systems at numerous retail locations investigators have charged Brandon David HAMILTON 28 years of no fixed address Midland with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order (nine counts)
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 – in Canada (four counts)
  • Use of Credit Card (four counts)

The accused was arrested on December 20, 2024 and has been released after a bail hearing to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice  on December 19, 2024.

Cheyanne KOCIELSKI – Theft & Assault

(BRANT COUNTY, ON) – On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Brant County Detachment responded to a theft report from a Beverly Street West business in the County of Brant.

Employees contacted police and provided information on a theft suspect who removed a quantity of merchandise without paying.

On Wednesday, November 20, 2024, as a result of the investigation, police have charged Cheyanne KOCIELSKI, 36 years-old from the City of Brantford with the following offences:

·      Theft Under $5000 – Shoplifting

·      Resist Peace Officer

·      Assault a Peace Officer

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford on December 19, 2024.

Goderich Pervert Alert – Cole WHEELER Arrested For Luring Children & Sexual Assault

(GODERICH, ON) – On October 25, 2024, Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) began an investigation involving a series of victims in the Huron County area. This investigation has led to police laying multiple criminal charges against the accused in this matter.

Police have charged 21-year-old, Cole WHEELER, of Goderich with the following offences:

  • Sexual Assault (12 counts),
  • Invitation to Sexual Touching (two counts),
  • Sexual Interference (two counts),
  • Assault,
  • Forcible Confinement,
  • Unlawfully in a Dwelling House,
  • Luring a Child Under 18.

The accused is currently in custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Goderich Ontario at a later date.

Justin HUNT Was Arrested

(PEMBROKE, ON) – Members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual after an investigation into false 9-1-1 calls to police.  

As a result of the investigation, on November 19, 2024, UOV OPP arrested and charged Justin HUNT, age 29 of Pembroke, with public mischief contrary to the Criminal Code (CC). 

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on December 16, 2024.

Marvin SEYMOUR – Drunk Driving

(MONO, ON) – Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Toronto resident with impaired operation-related offences following a traffic stop.

On November 20, 2024, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Dufferin OPP officers were conducting general patrol when they observed a traffic violation. The officer initiated a traffic stop, which led to an impaired driving investigation.

Marvin SEYMOUR, a 48-year-old male, from Toronto has been charged with:

•      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

•      Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

•      Obstruct plate

The accused individual is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their driver’s licence was suspended 90 days, and their vehicle impounded for 7 days.

Rajveer SINGH in an 80

(ALLISTON, ON)- The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers have charged a driver for stunt driving this morning.

On November 21, 2024, shortly before 10:30 a.m. an Officer from the Nottawasaga Detachment was conducting speed enforcement on Highway 89 in the Town of New Tecumseth.

The subject vehicle was travelling at a high rate of speed recorded at 154km/h in an 80km/h zone. The vehicle was stopped, as a result of the investigation officers charged the driver for stunt driving. Rajveer SINGH 20-years-old from Barrie was charged with the following:

–       Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt- excessive speed.

–       Speeding 50+km/h over limit

The driver received a 30-day licence suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days. The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

Drivers and members of the public are reminded to respect our communities, comply with all laws, and not jeopardize the safety of our citizens or our neighborhoods with risky, illegal, and dangerous actions.

Several Arrested In Drug Bust

(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – On November 20, 2024, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a Controlled Dugs and Substances Act (CDSA) warrant at a residence on Tokyo Crescent in Elliot Lake.

As a result of the warrant being executed, approximately 250 grams of suspected cocaine, almost 9 grams of suspected Fentanyl, approximately 10 Methamphetamine tablets, a loaded sawed-off shotgun, over $1600 in cash, digital scales, packaging materials, and numerous cell phones were seized. 

The OPP’s Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), Emergency Response Team (ERT), Canine Unit, and uniform members were involved with the investigation.         

Michael MCNEELANDS, 42-years-old, of Elliot Lake was charged with:

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid

·      Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm

·      Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition

·      Knowledge of unauthorized possession of weapon

Krystal ROL, 35-years-old, of Elliot Lake was charged with:

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid

·      Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm

·      Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition

·      Knowledge of unauthorized possession of weapon

·      Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000

Donna FOURNIER, 41-years-old, of Elliot Lake was charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance – opioid
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance – cocaine

The accused persons are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on January 11, 2025.

Orlando SAMUELS, 41-years-old, of Mississauga was charged with:

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid

·      Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm

·      Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition

·      Knowledge of unauthorized possession of weapon

·      Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order

·      Failure to comply with undertaking

This accused was held in custody and scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Blind River on November 21, 2024.

Jade CYR, 26-years-old, of Elliot Lake had outstanding warrants for her arrest in relation to previous occurrences in East Algoma and Espanola. She was subsequently arrested and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on January 11, 2025.

Clement ALALADE – Impaired Driving

(PRESCOTT, ON) – A driver was arrested yesterday evening after driving in the wrong direction on Highway 401, near the Town of Prescott.

On November 20, 2024, just before 8:00 p.m., the Grenville County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received calls about a wrong-way vehicle travelling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401, near the Town of Prescott.

At that time, an off-duty police officer in an unmarked police vehicle was travelling eastbound and was almost struck head-on by the suspect vehicle as it continued in the wrong direction. The officer saw the suspect driver make a U-turn and begin driving eastbound and followed them as they exited the highway at Johnstown and came to a stop. The officer identified themselves and tried to stop the suspect, who then fled towards the United States border crossing at a high rate of speed.

The suspect then made another U-turn and drove in the wrong direction from the suspension bridge. Another officer arrived at the scene and blocked the exit. Officers made observations of the driver and entered into an impaired driving investigation. The driver was subsequently arrested and a Drug Recognition Evaluation was later conducted.

As a result of the investigation, Clement ALALADE, 46 years of age, of Brockville, Ontario, was charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and dangerous operation, contrary to the Criminal Code.

The accused was later released and is set to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville, on December 20, 2024.

Jennifer BRIDGES – Trafficking

(MUNICIPALITY OF TRENT HILLS, ON) – Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid charges after the execution of a warrant.

On November 20, 2024, officers from the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), executed a warrant at a location on County Road 25 in the Municipality of Trent Hills. As a result, a camper trailer which was stolen from Bancroft has been recovered. Also seized was approximately 16 grams of suspected Methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $600.

Jennifer BRIDGES, 43-years-old, from the Municipality of Trent Hills, was arrested and charged with:

–       Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

–       Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine.

The accused was held for bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.

Glen CAMPBELL – Theft, Etc.

(WAWA, ON) – Superior East Wawa Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charge driver of stolen vehicle with multiple offences.

On November 20, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m. police were advised of a stolen truck and trailer in the Town of Wawa. Several more calls were received that a truck and trailer had crashed into a residence on Toronto Ave. OPP arrived at the scene a short time afterwards and arrested the driver. It was also learned that another house and hydro pole had been struck on the same street.Wawa Ambulance and Fire also assisted, and the driver was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

Glen CAMPBELL, 40-years-old from Thunder Bay was charged with:

·        Theft of a motor vehicle

·        Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle

·        Theft over $5000

·        Mischief over $5000 – three counts

·        Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000

·        Take motor vehicle without consent

·        Careless driving – three counts

·        Driving under suspension – three counts

·        Drive motor vehicle with no licence

The accused was held in custody and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Sault Ste Marie Bail Court on November 21, 2024.
