David Dews Was Arrested

(TILLSONBURG, ON) – An individual from Ingersoll is facing impaired driving related charges following a traffic complaint.

On November 3, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were dispatched to a report of a possible impaired driver, on Broadway Road in the Town of Tillsonburg. Officers patrolled and subsequently located the vehicle.

David Dews, 67-years-old, of Ingersoll, has been charged with:

·      Operation while Impaired – Blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on December 16, 2025.

Jeffrey Kuhun – Drunk Driving

(INGERSOLL, ON) – An individual from Ingersoll is facing impaired driving-related charges stemming from a traffic complaint from a member of the public.

On October 21, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., members of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were dispatched to an address on Thames Street South, for a report of a possible impaired driver.

Officers located the vehicle and spoke to the driver.  

Jeffrey Kuhun, 68-years-old, of Kitchener, has been charged with:

·      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol

·      Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on November 18, 2025.

Yasmine Baguley – Drunk Driving

(INGERSOLL, ON) – An individual from London is facing impaired driving charges after entering a reduce impaired driving everywhere (RIDE) program.

On October 19, 2025, at approximately 2:00 a.m., members of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were conducting a RIDE program on Bell Street, in the Town of Ingersoll.  

A vehicle entered the RIDE program and subsequently underwent roadside screening.  

Yasmine Baguley, 26-years-old, of London, has been charged with:

·      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol

·      Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a 7-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on November 25, 2025.

Body Found In Park Update

(INGERSOLL, ON) – Members from the Oxford Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were investigating a sudden death in the Town of Ingersoll.

On September 17, 2025, at approximately 12:00 p.m., Oxford OPP were dispatched to assist Oxford County Paramedic Services with an individual in Memorial Park.

The individual was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The investigation ruled out foul play and the death has been confirmed to be non-suspicious.

Out of respect for the privacy of the family, no other details will be released.

One Dead In Memorial Park

(INGERSOLL, ON) – Members from the Oxford Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a sudden death in the Town of Ingersoll.

On September 17, 2025, at approximately 12:00 p.m., Oxford OPP were dispatched to assist Oxford County Paramedic Services with an individual in Memorial Park.

The individual was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Members of Oxford OPP continue to investigate with assistance from Oxford Crime Unit and OPP Forensic Identification Services in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner.

The investigation is in the early stages so no other details will be shared at this time.

22 Year Old Facing Drunk Driving Charge

 (INGERSOLL, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment responded to a traffic complaint in Ingersoll which resulted in several charges.

On August 17, 2025, at approximately 2:20 a.m., members of Oxford OPP responded to a traffic complaint on Harris Street.

As a result of the investigation, Andrew FORCE, a 22-year-old resident of Straffordville has been charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 plus
  • Dangerous Operation

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on September 23, 2025.

Catharine PAVEL – Drunk Driving

 (INGERSOLL, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment took another impaired driver off the road as the result of a R.I.D.E. check in the Town of Ingersoll.

On August 3, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Oxford OPP set up a Reduced Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) check on Harris Street in Ingersoll.

As a result, Catharine PAVEL, a 55-year-old resident of Hamilton, has been charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 plus
  • Having Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle with Unsealed Container of Alcohol

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on September 16, 2025.

37 Year Old From London Arrested

 (INGERSOLL, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment charged an individual with impaired driving after a collision in the Town of Ingersoll.

On July 4, 2025, at approximately 1:30 a.m., members of Oxford OPP were dispatched to a single vehicle collision on Samnah Crescent in the Town of Ingersoll.

As a result of the investigation, Christopher RUSSELL, a 37-year-old resident of London, has been charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 plus
  • Fail to Stop After Collision

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on August 19, 2025.

 (INGERSOLL, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment responded to the report of a suspected impaired driver, resulting in one person being charged with impaired driving.

On June 28, 2025, at approximately 12:00 p.m., members of Oxford OPP were dispatched to King Street East in the Town of Ingersoll for a traffic complaint.

As a result of the investigation, Nathaniel MILLS, a 29-year-old resident of the Town of Ingersoll, has been charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 plus

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on August 5, 2025.

Vanessa Mcleod – Drunk Driving

(INGERSOLL, ON) – An individual from Ingersoll is facing impaired driving-related charges stemming from a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver.

On May 17, 2025, at approximately 12:15 a.m., members of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were dispatched to Thames Street North, in the Town of Ingersoll, to a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver.  

Officers patrolled and located to the vehicle.

OPP Invoke Silence & SIU Mandate #FilmThePolice #FTP

 (INGERSOLL, ON) – The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has invoked its mandate in relation to an incident that took place in Ingersoll, Ontario.

 On Sunday, May 4, 2025, shortly before 3:30 a.m., members of the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attempted to initiate a traffic stop in the westbound lane of Highway 401. The driver failed to stop for police and fled the scene.

 A short time later, police received a report of a single vehicle collision on Canterbury Street in Ingersoll.

 The driver was extricated from the vehicle and transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

 Oxford Fire Services of Ingersoll and Oxford Paramedic Services attended to assist.

 The OPP has notified the SIU, which has invoked its mandate. As a result, the OPP will not be able to provide further information. Any other inquiries should be directed to [email protected].

88 Year Old Drunk Driver Facing Hit & Run Charge

(INGERSOLL, ON) – An individual from Cambridge is facing impaired driving-related charges stemming from a fail to remain collision that occurred on Canterbury Street in the Town of Ingersoll.

On April 24, 2025, at approximately 5:15 p.m., members of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were dispatched to Canterbury Street in the Town of Ingersoll for a report of a single vehicle, motor vehicle collision where the driver of the vehicle had failed to remain at the scene of the collision.

Officers made patrols and located the subject motor vehicle.

Manuel Furtado, 88-years-old, of Cambridge, has been charged with:  

·      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol

·      Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)

·      Dangerous Operation

·      Failure to stop after accident

There were no reported injuries because of this collision.

Armed Robbery – 2 Arrested

(INGERSOLL, ON) – The Oxford Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a robbery in the Town of Ingersoll and are seeking the public’s assistance.

On April 9, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m., members of the Oxford OPP were dispatched to an address on Thames Street South in the Town of Ingersoll for a report of a robbery.

It was determined an unknown individual entered the property with what appeared to be a firearm and left with an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency. The individual was observed to be exiting the area in a red mid-2000’s Volkswagen Beetle.

On April 10, 2025, Nicholas Scott, 31-years-old, of Ingersoll, has been arrested and charged with: 

·      Armed Robbery

·      Carrying concealed weapon

·      Possession of imitation weapon for dangerous purpose

·      Disguise with intent

·      Take motor vehicle without consent

The accused was held for a bail hearing. The accused has since been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on April 29, 2025.

On April 17, 2025, Katie Longlade, 39-years-old, of Ingersoll, has been arrested and charged with:  

·      Armed Robbery

·      Carrying concealed weapon

·      Possession of imitation weapon for dangerous purpose

·      Disguise with intent

·      Take motor vehicle without consent

 The accused was held for a bail hearing.

The investigation is ongoing.

Police are requesting the public’s assistance if any suspicious activity was observed around the time of the incident, or if members of the public have any CCTV or dashcam footage, around Thames Street South and St. Andrews Street, in the Town of Ingersoll.

17 Year Old Suffers Serious Injuries In Attack

(INGERSOLL, ON) – Two individuals are facing charges following an assault investigation in the Town of Ingersoll.

On April 7, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m., members of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were dispatched to an assault that had occurred in the area of Alma Street, in the Town of Ingersoll.

Police attended and investigated. A 17-year-old male youth was located and found to have serious non-life-threatening injuries.

Lucas Thornton, 18-years-old, of Ingersoll, has been charged with:

·      Assault with a weapon – Two counts

·      Uttering threats – Cause death or bodily harm

The accused was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock.

 A 15-year-old has been charged with:

·      Robbery with violence

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on a later date.

The youth’s identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
