Stephane WATHIER Was Arrested

(HAWKESBURY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit has charged a Hawkesbury resident with drug trafficking.

Street Crime Unit members, assisted by members of the Hawkesbury Detachment, executed a search warrant on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at a residence on James Street in Hawkesbury. They seized more than 450 suspected methamphetamine pills, nearly eight grams of suspected cocaine and several hydromorphone tablets, as well as items typically associated with drug trafficking

One person was arrested at the scene.

Stephane WATHIER, age 56 of Hawkesbury, has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – three counts
  • Possession of property obtained by crime-under $5000

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on December 4, 2024.

Drug Bust – Names Released

(ALLISTON, ON) – The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged 2 males for several drug related offences in the Town of New Tecumseth.

On November 14, at approximately 10:00 p.m. members of the Nottawasaga OPP, conducted a traffic stop on a passenger vehicle with an obstructed rear plate on Young Street.

The investigation revealed that two individuals, Darryl BERDAN 40 years old from Alliston, and Jason HOFFARTH, 41 years old from Alliston were in possession of a schedule 1 substance.

As a result of this investigation, both residents from Alliston are facing the following charges contrary to the Criminal Code and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Darryl BERDAN 40-years-old:

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

·      Fail to Comply with Probation Order – 3 counts

·      Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

Jason HOFFARTH, 41-years-old:

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine

Both accused parties were held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on November 14, 2024, and released on a release order.

Andrew SKILLEN Was Arrested

(CARLETON PLACE, ON) – Threatening comments and behaviour targeting municipal staff has resulted in charges against a 40-year-old resident of Carleton Place.

Officers with the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded on Thursday, November 14, 2024, after multiple threatening phone calls had been received by officials with the municipality.

As a result of the investigation, Andrew SKILLEN has been charged with two counts of criminal harassment – threatening conduct.

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth of December 23, 2024.

Gilles BELZIL – Impaired Driving

(SAULT STE. MARIE, ON) – Multiple traffic complaints from concerned road users helped police locate a driver believed to be impaired by drugs.

On November 13, 2024, at approximately 5:17 p.m., officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) began receiving multiple traffic complaints of a vehicle that was driving in a dangerous manner on Highway 17 east of Sault Ste. Marie. Witnesses reported the vehicle braking irregularly, greatly fluctuating its speed, turning on and off its four-way flashers, passing vehicles on the shoulder, and tailgating. Police located the vehicle on Black Road in Sault Ste. Marie, and initiated a traffic stop.       

During their interaction with the driver, police formed grounds to believe the driver’s ability to operate a vehicle was impaired. As a result, Gilles BELZIL, 54 years-of-age, of Grande Prairie, Alberta, was arrested and charged with:

  • Dangerous operation – two counts
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Refusal to comply with demand
  • Drive vehicle with Cannabis readily available

The accused was held for a bail hearing, and subsequently released by the Ontario Court of Justice with a return court date of December 9, 2024 in Sault Ste. Marie. The accused was issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

3 Charged With Possession Of Property Obtained by Crime

(SAULT STE. MARIE, ON) – Three individuals are facing criminal charges following a traffic stop in the city’s west end. On November 12, 2024, at approximately 12:20 a.m., officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police were conducting general patrol on Third Line West, when they observed a motor vehicle pulling out of a property that was under construction. Officers further observed the vehicle pulling a trailer that did not have working lights.

A traffic stop was conducted, and investigation revealed the three vehicle occupants were in possession of scrap metal stolen from the construction site.

The vehicle driver, James GREENING, 46 years-of-age, of Sault Ste. Marie was arrested and charged with: 

  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Draw trailer, no plate
  • Draw trailer, no permit
  • No red light on rear of trailer

Vehicle passenger, Frank CAICCO, 59 years-of-age, of Sault Ste. Marie was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

Vehicle passenger, Amanda ATHERTON, 40 years-of-age, of Sault Ste. Marie was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

All three accused individuals were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on December 16, 2024 in Sault Ste. Marie.

Jason HAMPLEMAN Threatens Animals With Firearm & Is Arrested Again!

(GOULAIS RIVER, ON) – A neighbour dispute escalated to criminal charges for one individual after police were called to a residence in Goulais River. On November 8, 2024, at approximately 11:17 p.m., officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police responded to a weapons occurrence on Robertson Lake Road. The complainant reported that their neighbour had threatened to shoot their dogs, then had approached them with a firearm.        

As a result of the investigation, Jason HAMPLEMAN, 31 years-of-age, of Goulais River was arrested and charged with:

  • Uttering threats – injure animal
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Failure to comply with release order

The accused was held for a bail hearing, and subsequently remanded into custody.

Fatal Collision

(ESSA, ON) – The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a two-vehicle fatal collision in Essa Township.

On November 14, at approximately 8:32 p.m., members of the Nottawasaga OPP, New Tecumseth Fire Department and Simcoe County Paramedics responded to a collision involving a passenger vehicle and a transport truck on Highway 89 between 8th Line and 9th Line.

The investigation revealed that the vehicle and transport truck were travelling in opposite directions on Highway 89 before colliding head on. Sadly, the driver of the passenger vehicle, an 82-year-old from Newmarket, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the transport truck did not sustain injuries.

The road was closed between 8th Line and 9th Line while the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team processed the scene, and was re-opened at 3:02 a.m.

The investigation is ongoing. Police are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage in the area between 8:00 p.m. and 8:32 p.m. to contact the Nottawasaga OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Clayton Isaac HULT – Drunk Driving

(AWERES TOWNSHIP, ON) – A traffic stop on Highway 17 north of the city has resulted in impaired driving charges for one individual. On November 7, 2024, at approximately 6:32 p.m., officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police were conducting general patrol, when they observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Highway 17 near Sixth Line.      

A traffic stop was conducted in Heyden, where investigation determined the vehicle driver had consumed alcoholic beverages. As a result, Clayton Isaac HULT, 24 years-of-age, of Goulais River was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on December 2, 2024 in Sault Ste. Marie. The accused was issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Navdeep CHAUDHARY Was Arrested For Theft

(ALLISTON, ON) – The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged an individual after a report of a shop lift at a local grocery store.

On November 11, 2024, at approximately 6:41 p.m., police responded to a report of a shoplifter at a local Alliston grocery store.

Officers located the individual exiting with the stolen property from the store, along with keys to a stolen vehicle in the parking lot. The accused was then arrested.

As a result, 22-year-old Navdeep CHAUDHARY, of Waterloo has been charged with:

·      Theft Under $5000 – shoplifting

·      Possession Property Obtained by Crime over $5000

Drug Bust – Names Released

(EMBRUN, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit has arrested two people for drug trafficking in Embrun.

Street Crime Unit members, assisted by members of the Russell County Detachment, executed a search warrant on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at a residence on Notre Dame Street. They seized approximately 120 suspected methamphetamine pills and over a gram of suspected cocaine, as well as items typically associated with drug trafficking.

Two people were arrested at the scene.

Julie GOYETTE, age 50 of Ottawa is charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking. This accused was turned over to Hawkesbury OPP and another police service on unrelated matters.

Madeleine ETHIER, age 57 of Russell Township, has been charge with possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking. This accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on December 4, 2024.

TRUDEAU Arrested For Sexually Assaulting Child #PervertAlert

(BLIND RIVER, ON) – One person charged after sexual assault investigation.

On October 15, 2024, the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) commenced a sexual assault investigation that occurred between September 2023 and October 15, 2024. The assaults were reported to have occurred at a school in Blind River.

As a result of the investigation, Donald TRUDEAU, 72 years age from Blind River, has been charged with:

  • Sexual Interference – two counts
  • Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16 years of age – two counts

The accused appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Blind River, on November 14, 2024.

Attempted Murder – Name Released

(TOWNSHIP OF CRAMAHE, ON) – The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating an attempted murder in the Township of Cramahe.

On November 13, 2024, shortly after 1:00 p.m., the Northumberland OPP were called to a residence on Mitchell Road in relation to a dropped 9-1-1 call. One person was located with serious injuries and transported to a hospital, where they remain in stable condition.

As a result of the investigation, Katlyn ATKINSON, 34 years old of Northumberland County, has been arrested and charged with attempted murder, contrary to section 289(1)(a.1) of the Criminal Code.

The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on November 19, 2024.

Investigators believe this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety. As the investigation is in its early stages, no further details will be released at this time.

The Northumberland OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch with assistance from OPP Forensic Identification Services, Emergency Response Team, Tactics and Rescue Unit, and Canine Unit.

Zineb ROUMANI Facing Numerous Charges

(BROCKVILLE, ON) – An individual has been arrested at dealership near Brockville after an investigation revealed fraudulent document had been provided in order to purchase a vehicle.

The investigation, led by the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), began on November 11, 2024, when an employee of the dealership reported that they had received a down payment for a vehicle with identification that did not match the prospective buyer.

On November 12, 2024, officers met with the alleged buyer at the dealership.

Zineb ROUMANI, age 29 of Verdun, Québec, was placed under arrest and charged with:

  • Fraud over $5,000
  • Personation with intent to obtain property (identity fraud)
  • Obtaining by false pretence over $5,000
  • Drawing document without authority
  • Identity theft – obtain or possess another person’s identity information
  • Forgery
  • Uses, deals, or acts on forged document

The accused was released after a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville the next morning and is scheduled to appear before the court again on December 20, 2024.

Justice EUROPE Was Arrested Again

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) located a stolen vehicle and charged one person.

On November 14, 2024, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Renfrew OPP stopped a vehicle for stunt driving on Highway 17 in McNab-Braeside.

The investigation revealed the vehicle to be stolen, and the driver was taken into custody. During that time, the driver produced multiple false identifications to police and was charged accordingly.

As a result of the investigation, Justice EUROPE, age 31 of Orillia, ON, was charged with:

·      Obstruct peace officer

·      Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code

·      Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000- in Canada

·      Personation with intent to avoid arrest, prosecution or obstruct justice (identity fraud)

·      Fail to comply with probation order

·      Speeding 50+ km/h over posted limit

·      Drive motor vehicle- perform stunt- excessive speed

·      Driving while under suspension

The accused was held in custody.

Tiffany GALES – Drunk Driving

(QUINTE WEST, ON) – The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges in an impaired driving investigation.

On November 14, 2024, at approximately 5:30 a.m., officers responded to a single vehicle collision on Old Highway 2 in Quinte West. An investigation led to the driver being arrested.

Tiffany GALES, 20 years old from Belleville, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – Alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – Blood Alcohol concentration (80 Plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on December 5, 2024. Additionally, the vehicle was impounded for seven days, and their licence was suspended for 90 days.
