Tyler MACISAAC Was Arrested Again

(Orillia, ON) – The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged an individual with impaired operation and weapons charges.

On November 13, 2024, at about 11:50 p.m., officers from the Orillia OPP were proactively patrolling the area of Front St in the City of Orillia and conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle failing to maintain its lane. A traffic stop was conducted and upon officers’ observations officers determined the driver to be impaired. Upon further investigation several drug paraphernalia and a large 350mm (13.5 inch) Machete style knife was located under the drivers seat.

As a result, Tyler MACISAAC, 33-years-old, from Oro-Medonte has been charged with:

  • Adult Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs
  • Adult Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Adult Fail to Comply with Probation Order X 2

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, to answer to the charges at a later date in December 2024. As a result of these charges, his driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and vehicle impounded for a period of 7 days.

Geoffrey BARNETT – Drunk Driving

(SPRINGWATER TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual with impaired driving related charges because of a traffic tip.

On November 12, 2024, at approximately 6:28 p.m., Huronia West OPP officers responded to a traffic tip of a possible impaired driver in Springwater Township. Officers located the vehicle on Bayfield Street where they conducted an impaired driving investigation. As a result, Geoffrey BARNETT, 57-year-old of Springwater Township, was arrested and has been charged with the following:

·      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs

·      Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

Drivers and members of the public are reminded to respect our communities, comply with all laws, and not jeopardize the safety of our citizens or our neighborhoods with risky, illegal, and dangerous actions.

Zachary GREGORY Was Arrested Again

(MARKSTAY-WARREN, ON) – Police charged a driver with multiple offences after investigating a motor vehicle collision.

On November 13, 2024, at approximately 11:40 a.m., the Nipissing West (Sudbury) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 17, Markstay-Warren. There were no injuries reported.

As a result of the investigation, one vehicle involved in the collision was stolen from the Sudbury area, the driver of that vehicle provided a false name and was impaired. That driver was arrested and then transported back to the OPP detachment for further testing.

Zachary GREGORY, 26 years-of-age, from Sudbury, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – drugs
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Obstruct Peace Officer
  • Possession property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Driving while under suspension – three counts
  • Operation while prohibited – two counts
  • Fail to comply with Probation Order

The accused was held for Bail Court and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on November 14, 2024, in Sudbury.

Isaac HEWTON Was Arrested Again

(ASPHODEL-NORWOOD TOWNSHIP, ON) – Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a single vehicle collision that led to the driver being charged with impaired.

On November 13, 2024, just after 6:00pm, Peterborough County OPP received a report of a vehicle that had gone off the road and rolled before coming to rest in a field off County Road 8. Police arrived on scene where the driver was being attended to by EMS

While speaking with the driver, officers noted signs of impairment, and the driver was arrested. The driver was transported to a local hospital as a precaution.

Isaac HEWTON (age 35) of Havelock, ON, was arrested and charged with:

·      Operation while impaired

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on January 7, 2025.

Kevin SICARD – Drunk Driving

(PORT LAMBTON, ON) – A traffic stop led to an individual being charged for driving while impaired.

On November 13, 2024, shortly after 3:30 p.m., a member of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on St. Clair Parkway, Port Lambton.

As a result of the investigation, Kevin SICARD, 41-year-old of Sombra, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Driving while under suspension (two counts)
  • Disobey stop sign – fail to stop

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on December 12, 2024, in the City of Sarnia to speak to the charges.

Payton-Lynn Stewart Jordan Was Arrested

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two people after a traffic stop on HWY 17.

On November 11, 2024, at approximately 12:40 a.m., Renfrew OPP completed a traffic stop on Highway 17 in McNab-Braeside Township for speeding.

Officers completed a roadside breath test with an Approved Screening Device.

As a result of the investigation, Payton-Lynn Stewart Jordan, age 25 of McNab-Braeside was charged with:

·      Novice Driver- B.A.C. above zero

·      Speeding 1-49 km/h over posted limit

·      Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs

·      Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Fail to surrender insurance card

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on January 15, 2025.

The passenger of the vehicle was charged on an outstanding warrant.

Mark SHAW – Drunk Driving

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – Driver facing Impaired driving charge after traffic stop.

On November 13, 2024, at 9:54 p.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), while on general patrol on Richmond Street in Middlesex Centre, performed a traffic stop on a vehicle.

The driver was arrested and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

As a result, Mark SHAW, a 24-year-old of Lucan, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on December 19, 2024.

Lisa GRAHAM From Mount Forest Arrested For Theft

(WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) – Wellington County OPP received a report of a stolen vehicle and shortly locate the suspect, placing them into custody and recovering the stolen vehicle.

On November 14, 2024, just before 4:30 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on patrol within Mount Forest when a report came in of a recent stolen vehicle.

As a result of the investigation and swift actions by uniformed members, Lisa GRAHAM, 28-year-old from Mount Forest, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with the following:

  • Theft of Motor Vehicle
  • Driving while under suspension

The accused has been held in custody, pending a bail hearing.

Brett SWIFT – Impaired Operation

(HURON-KINLOSS, ON) – On November 12, 2024, at approximately 9:12 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle along Highway 9, Municipality of Huron-Kinloss, for a Highway Traffic Act violation.

The investigating officer detected signs of impairment from the driver. An Approved Screening Device (ASD) was utilized. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the South Bruce OPP detachment for further testing.

Brett SWIFT, 32-years-old, from the Municipality of Kincardine was charged with:

  • Impaired Operation, CC 320.14(1)(b)

The accused is set to appear in the Walkerton Court of Justice on December 18, 2024.

Michael WHITEHEAD Was Arrested Again

(KINCARDINE, ON) – On November 11, 2024, at approximately 4:15 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an unwanted person at an address along Queen Street, Municipality of Kincardine.

On police arrival, the involved person brandished an edged weapon towards officers. They were taken into custody after a brief struggle with police.

Michael WHITEHEAD, 30-years-old from Kincardine was charged with the following Criminal Code (CC) offences:

  • Assault Peace Officer with a Weapon, CC 270.01(1)(a) – two counts
  • Fail to Comply with Probation, CC 733.1(1) – two counts
  • Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, CC 88
  • Resist Peace Officer, CC 129(a)
  • Possess Stolen Property, CC 355(b)

The accused was held for a bail hearing and subsequently remanded into custody.

Eric SQUARZOLO Facing Numerous Charges

(WEST NIPISSING, ON) – Police arrested and charged a driver with drug related offences after a traffic stop.

On November 13, 2024, at approximately 12:47 a.m., the Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle which was speeding on Highway 17, West Nipissing.

As a result of the investigation, the driver was arrested for possession of drugs. A search of the vehicle located cellular phones, a digital scale and drugs suspected to be cocaine and crack cocaine, with an estimated street value of just over $58,000.00.

Eric SQUARZOLO, 27 years-of-age, from Sudbury, was charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Speeding 1 – 49 km/h over posted limit
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit
  • Fail to have insurance card

The accused was held for Bail Court, then remanded back into custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on November 27, 2024, in North Bay.

Matthew FRENCH Was Arrested Again

(ADDINGTON HIGHLANDS, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit has recovered multiple stolen vehicles in Addington Highlands.

Members of the Lennox and Addington County OPP called in the street crime unit when it was learned that suspected stolen items were being stored on a person’s property in the Flinton area.

A search of the location on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, by Street Crime Unit members and officers from the L&A County and Central Hastings Detachments, resulted in the recovery of a stolen 2009 Volkswagen Golf and two stolen snowmobiles. An individual was found hiding in the residence and arrested without incident. A second person was escorted off the property and warned that returning would be considered trespassing.

Matthew FRENCH, age 33 of Addington Highlands, has been charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime-over $5000 – two counts
  • Possession of property obtained by crime-under $5000
  • Fail to comply with a probation order

The accused was held in custody and was scheduled to appear for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee on November 13, 2024.

The owner of the residence had no connection to the stolen vehicles.

Brendon BLANCHARD Was Arressted Again

(ALLISTON, ON) – The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a male on several warrants in the Town of New Tecumseth.

On November 10, 2024, shortly after 5:00 a.m., Nottawasaga OPP located and arrested Brendon BLANCHARD, 24-year-old of Alliston, wanted on several warrants dating as far back as May 02, 2023, and has been charged with the following:

• Mischief – destroys or damages property

• Theft Under $5000- Shoplifting – 2 counts

• Failure to comply with release order

The accused has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Bradford on November 15, 2024, to answer to the charges.

Murder – Names Released

(CALEDON, ON) – The Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two individuals and identified the deceased in relation to an ongoing homicide investigation.

Officers were called to a residence on Deer Ridge Trail shortly before 10:00 p.m. on November 9, 2024, where one person was located injured and later pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The deceased has been identified as Rabinder MALHI, 52 years old of Brampton.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, members of the Caledon OPP Major Crime Unit charged Rajinder KUMAR, 47 years old of Caledon, with second degree murder, section 235(1) of the Criminal Code (CC). 

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on November 18, 2024.

Additionally, Sheetal VERMA, 35 years old of Caledon, was charged with obstruct justice, section 139(2) CC.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on December 12, 2024.

The Caledon OPP Major Crime Unit is continuing the investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, with assistance from OPP Forensic Identification Services, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.

Ashley JACKO-METANSININE Facing Numerous Charges

(ESPANOLA, ON) – One person has been arrested and charged for impaired operation and drug related charges following a traffic complaint on Highway 17 near Nairn Centre.

On November 9, 2024, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint involving a pickup truck on Highway 17 near Nairn Centre.

Police located the pickup truck on Jacklin Road in the Town of Espanola and conducted a traffic stop. While speaking to the driver police determined alcohol had been consumed and the driver was transported to the McKerrow detachment for further testing.

Additionally, officers located over 660 grams of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of $66,000, and three suspected oxycodone pills with an estimated street value of $45.

As a result, the driver, Ashley JACKO-METANSININE, 30-years-old from Wikwemikong, was charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – drugs

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance – opioid (other than heroine)

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine

·      Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000

·      Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000

·      Drive motor vehicle with liquor readily available

·      Drive motor vehicle, fail to display two plates

·      Drive motor vehicle, no permit

·      Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

Ashley JACKO-METANSININE appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Sudbury on November 10, 2024, and was remanded into custody.
