Singh Harpreet Arrested After Pointing Firearm At Snowplow Operator

LONDON, ON (February 14, 2025) – A London man has been charged after members of the London Police Service Uniformed Division responded to a weapons call in the west end of the city yesterday morning.

On Thursday, February 13, 2025, at approximately 5 a.m., a driver operating a snowplow in the area of Viscount Road and Wonderland Road South called 9-1-1 after a man in a vehicle pointed what appeared to be a firearm at her.

Officers were provided with a description of the vehicle as it fled from the area.

Police located and stopped the vehicle a short distance away.

The male driver was arrested. No injuries were reported.

A search of the vehicle yielded a BB style long gun.

As a result of the investigation, Singh Harpreet, 26, of London, has been charged with one (1) count of pointing a firearm.

The accused is scheduled to appear in London court on March 27, 2025, in relation to the charges.

13 Year Old Girls Rescued From Hotel – GPS Daily Update

Man arrested after girls taken to hotel for sex

A Toronto man faces luring and sexual assault charges after two Guelph teens reported he took them to a local hotel overnight.

On February 1, two 13-year-old girls were reported missing to the Guelph Police Service. The two minors were located by officers and the Guelph Police Human Trafficking Unit began an investigation as the girls reported they had been taken to a local hotel by an adult male. The parties had met through a social media platform.

On February 12, a 22-year-old Toronto man was arrested for two counts each of luring, sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching.

The accused was held for a bail hearing on Thursday and has been released on conditions. He will appear in court March 18.

Alarm call leads to impaired arrest

An alarm call at a south-end business Thursday evening led to an impaired operation charge for a Guelph man.

Just before 8 p.m. officers responded to an alarm call at a business near Laird Road and Quarterman Road. All doors to the business were secure, however officers noticed an occupied vehicle in the parking lot.

Officers went to speak to the man and noted several empty alcohol bottles inside the vehicle and the keys in the ignition. He had bloodshot eyes and a strong odour of alcohol on his breath. After failing a roadside breath test he was arrested and transported to the police station, where further tests confirmed he had more than the legal amount of alcohol in his system.

A 57-year-old Guelph man is charged with impaired operation. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days. He will appear in court February 28.

The Guelph Police Service would like to encourage the public to always consume alcohol and cannabis responsibly. Please don’t drive if you are going to consume alcohol or cannabis, and please ensure that you plan ahead so that you have a safe ride home. Anyone who spots a suspected impaired driver is asked to immediately call 911.

Two dozen bottles of fragrances stolen

The Guelph Police Service is investigating after two dozen bottles of fragrances were stolen from a business.

On Thursday staff of a business near Eramosa Road and Metcalfe Street reported the theft which occurred February 6. Approximately 5:45 p.m. that day, a man entered the store and headed for the cosmetics department while carrying a shopping basket. He was observed placing items inside his coat while looking around. He eventually walked out of the store after putting down the empty basket.

Twenty-four bottles of cologne and perfume with a value of more than $500 were stolen.

The suspect was described as 40-50 years of age, 5’5” to 5’7” with an average build and wearing a camouflage jacket and beige hat.

Joseph FERGUSON – Meth, Etc.

(MALLORYTOWN, ON) – A Mallorytown resident is facing charges after an investigation revealed they were trafficking illicit substances.

On February 14, 2025, following a lengthy investigation conducted by the East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), members of the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), in conjunction with the CSCU, executed two search warrants at a residence in Mallorytown.

The following items were seized from the residence and from within a vehicle in the driveway on the strength of the warrants:

  • Over ten grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine
  • Three grams of suspected cocaine
  • Brass knuckles
  • Two cell phones
  • One tablet computer
  • One digital scale
  • Over $12,000

As a result of the investigation, 36 year-old Joseph FERGUSON of Mallorytown faces the following charges:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance
  • Trafficking Schedule I substance
  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon

The accused was released with conditions and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on March 7, 2025.

Kyler ACKEWANCE Was Arrested

(SIOUX LOOKOUT, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Sioux Lookout have arrested and charged one individual with firearm and drug offences.

On February 6th, 2025, shortly after 1:00 p.m., members of the Sioux Lookout conducted a traffic stop on Drayton Road. The driver was placed under arrest and during a search incident to arrest, officers located suspected cocaine, and suspected crack cocaine on the individual. Police further located a firearm and ammunition inside of the vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, Kyler ACKEWANCE, 32 years old of Hudson, Ontario, has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

·      Unauthorized possession of a firearm

·      Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm

·      Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm

·      Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine

The accused was released on a Form 10 Undertaking, and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sioux Lookout on the 4th of March, 2025.

Lindsay VANVOLKENBURG Was Arrested

(PENETANGUSHENE, ON) A driver is facing charges and other sanctions following a traffic stop in Penetanguishene, early this morning.

On February 15, 2025 at about 2:30 a.m., a member of the Southern Georgian Bay detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was performing patrol duties in the Town of Penetanguishene and stopped a car on Fox Street.

The officer spoke with the driver and detected the smell of alcohol which led the officer to demand a breath sample into a roadside screening device. The officer made attempts to convince the driver to provide a breath sample however, they refused.

As a result of this incident, Lindsay VANVOLKENBURG, 36 years of Penetanguishene, was arrested and faces the following charge contrary to the Criminal Code:

  • Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand

The accused was released to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on March 6, 2025. When charged with impaired driving the driver’s licence of the accused is immediately suspended for 90 days and the vehicle they were operating is impounded for 7 days.

Georgia Quanbury Was Arrested Again – Assault With Weapon

(MIDLAND, ON) One person was treated for wounds and another is facing charges following a dispute in a Midland apartment complex yesterday.

On February 14, 2025 at about 4:00 p.m., members of the Southern Georgian Bay detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police(OPP) responded to an apartment complex on King Street in the Town of Midland following a complaint by a female saying that she had been stabbed during a dispute with another person.

Police located the victim, who was tended to by Simcoe County Paramedics and transported to hospital for her injuries which are not believed to be serious.

Officers entered into an investigation to locate the person responsible and were led to an apartment in the complex where a suspect was placed under arrest. During the investigation, it was learned that the suspect was bound by a release order with conditions following charges for a serious incident in the summer of 2024.

As a result of this investigation, Georgia Quanbury, 26 years of Midland was charged with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code:

  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Utter Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
  • Failure to Comply with Release Order

The accused was held for a bail hearing to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie on February 15, 2025.

4 Arrested In Drug Bust

(ORILLIA, ON) – Members of the Orillia Detachments Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid multiple drug and weapon related charges in an early morning search warrant execution in the City of Orillia.

On February 14, 2025, Orillia Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) with assistance from the Orillia Community Mobilization Unit (CMU) executed an early morning search warrant at a Fittons Road West address in the City of Orillia. Suspected drugs, cellular devices, and weapons were seized as part of the investigation.

As a result of the investigation, the following was seized:

·        5.5 grams Fentanyl

·        8 Hydromorphone pills

·        600 ml Methadone

·        4 LSD Tablets

·        Traces of Crack Cocaine

·        Bear Spray

·        1x .40 Calibre Bullet

·        Drug trafficking related paraphernalia/packaging

·        A cellular device

Susanne BRADY, 56 years old, of Orillia, has been charged with:

·        Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Fentanyl

·        Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Hydromorphone

Katie WILLIAMS, 40 years old, of Orillia, has been charged with:

·        Possession of Fentanyl

Ivy HENDERSON, 40 years old, of Orillia, has been charged with:

·        Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Fentanyl

·        Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Methadone

·        Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Hydromorphone

·        Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

Zachayre LEACH, 36 years old, of Orillia, has been charged with:

·        Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Fentanyl

·        Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Methadone

The first three accused were released and scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia on a future date. The fourth accused was held for a bail hearing.

Wingham Disturbance – Donald WEBER Arrested Again

(NORTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual following an incident that took place at a location on Josephine Street in the Town of Wingham, Township of North Huron on Monday February 10th, 2025.   

Just before 6:30 p.m., police were contacted to investigate a disturbance complaint. Police attended and located the suspect who was arrested shortly after police arrival.

Donald WEBER, 58 years of age of no fixed address has been charged with:

–      Fail to Comply with Probation – (three counts),

–      Assault a Peace Officer.

The accused was processed and held in custody for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich where they were remanded into custody.

Catlin DAER Charged With Impaired Driving

(BLUEWATER, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Central Huron resident with a criminal driving offence following a call from a concerned citizen on February 13, 2025, in the Village of Bayfield, Municipality of Bluewater. 

Just before 6:00 p.m., on Thursday, February 13, 2025, Huron County OPP officers were contacted by a concerned citizen who observed a vehicle with a suspected impaired driver behind the wheel. Police attended the scene, spoke to the driver and determined that the driver’s ability to operate the motor vehicle was impaired.

The driver was arrested for impaired operation and transported to the Huron County OPP detachment where they completed a series of tests before an OPP Drug Recognition Expert (DRE).

Catlin DAER, 34 years of age from Central Huron has been charged with:

–      Operation while Impaired – alcohol and drugs.

The involved vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days.

The accused was later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on March 31, 2025.

35 Year Old From Central Huron Arrested #WaitInTheTruck

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – On February 8th, 2025, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a matter involving intimate partners in the Municipality of Central Huron.

As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had allegedly committed criminal acts against their partner.

A 35-year-old individual from Central Huron has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

–      Assault – Spousal – (two counts).

The accused was processed and held for a bail hearing where they were later released from custody with a court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on March 17th, 2025.

Patrick FLETCHER Was Arrested – Details Released

(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) – On February 13, 2025, at approximately 7:50 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a disturbance at an address along 1st Avenue South in Chesley. 

While police were on scene, an individual became assaultive with officers. They were subsequently placed under arrest. No injuries were sustained by police or the accused.

As a result of the investigation, Patrick FLETCHER, 35-years-old from Arran-Elderslie has been charged with:

  • Assault police, CC 270(1)(a)
  • Obstruct peace officer, CC 129(1)

The accused is set to appear in the Walkerton Court of Justice on March 26, 2025 to answer to the charges.

Andrew IAN Facing Weapons Charges

(DRYDEN, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Dryden and Sioux Lookout have arrested and charged an individual wanted on a Canada-wide warrant after they failed to stop for police.

On February 9, 2025, at approximately 4:00 a.m., members of the Dryden OPP were notified of a vehicle that failed to stop for police after being observed travelling unsafely on Highway 17 by officers from Sioux Lookout. Officers did not engage in a pursuit.

Dryden officers located the vehicle on Highway 17 west of Bonney Bay Road and were able to safely stop the vehicle. The driver was placed under arrest without incident or damage to any of the involved vehicles. Police conducted a search of the vehicle and located a firearm. Upon arrest, it was revealed that the individual was wanted on an outstanding Canada-wide warrant.

As a result of the investigation, Andrew IAN, 73 years old of Surrey, British Columbia, has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

·      Flight from peace officer

·      Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm

·      Unauthorized possession of a weapon

·      Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm

·      Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition

·      Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm

The accused has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Dryden on a later date.

Amber Dawn Johnston Was Arrested Again

(ORILLIA, ON) – The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating an arson at a residence on Barrie Rd in the City of Orillia.

On February 14, 2025, at approximately 7:00 am the Orillia OPP responded to a call from the Orillia Fire Department (OFD) of a fire at a residence on Barrie Rd.

Once on scene police were advised by OFD that the fire had been started in the hallway outside a door deliberately. Through further investigation, specifically witness statements, police were able to confirm and identify a suspect.

At 1:27 pm, police located and arrested a female at an address on West St. N

Amber Dawn Johnston, age 28, of No fixed address was arrested and charged with:

  • Adult Arson – Disregard for Human Life
  • Adult Fail to Comply with Probation Order

 The accused was held for a bail hearing. No injuries were reported.

Drug Bust – KUBASSEK & TIFFIN

(Prince Edward County, ON) – The East Region Community Street Crime Unit has arrested and charged two individuals with drug trafficking.

On Thursday January 30, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m., with the assistance of the East Region Tactics and Rescue Unit and Canine Unit, a search warrant was executed on Reichswald Court in Picton. As a result, two individuals were arrested, and officers seized suspected cocaine, suspected fentanyl and items typically associated with drug trafficking.

Riley KUBASSEK, age 27 and Danielle TIFFIN, age 26 both from Prince Edward County were each charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Both accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on March 19, 2025.

Melissa WHITE Was Arrested

(Prince Edward County, ON) – The East Region Community Street Crime Unit has arrested and charged an individual after a search warrant was executed.

On Friday January 31, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m., with the assistance of the East Region Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit, a search warrant was executed on Disraeli Street in Picton. As a result, one individual was arrested, and officers seized a quantity of Canadian currency and two cellphones.

Melissa WHITE, age 36 from Toronto was charged with possession of property obtained by crime – under $5000.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on February 26, 2025.
