Hwy 21 Collision – 24 Year Old Charged

(KINCARDINE, ON) – On July 23, 2025, at approximately 6:40 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a collision at the intersection of Highway 21 and Bruce Road 20, Municipality of Kincardine.

Police attended with Bruce County Paramedic Services and Kincardine Fire and Emergency Services, where they discovered a collision between two passenger vehicles which were blocking the intersection. One of the involved drivers was transported to a local hospital with injuries. Northbound traffic on Highway 21 was closed for a short duration but has since been reopened.

A 24-year-old motorist from Kingston has been charged with:

  • Fail to yield to traffic on through highway, HTA 136(1)(b)
  • Operate a motor vehicle without insurance, CAIA 2(1)(a)

Robert JUNIPER Was Arrested Again

(MEAFORD, ON)– A Port Elgin resident is charged following a weapons call in Meaford on July 22, 2025.

On Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at approximately 3:43 p.m., The Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a male in possession of a suspected firearm at the Meaford Harbour.

Officers located the individual near a children’s recreational area. The individual complied with police demands and was taken into custody without incident. Following the arrest, the item in question was determined to be a replica airsoft handgun.

Robert JUNIPER 32-year-old from Port Elgin has been charged with the following offences:

  • Failure to comply with undertaking – CC
  • Possession of break-in instruments – CC
  • Being intoxicated in a public place – LLCA
  • Having liquor in open container in unauthorized place – LLCA

The accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on July 23, 2025.

Adrian FLONK Was Arrested Again

(BLIND RIVER, ON)- Traffic stop leads to arrest of prohibited driver in Blind River.

On Monday July 21, 2025, the East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on patrol duties on Causley Street in the Town of Blind River.

At approximately 1:45 p.m., police observed an eastbound vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed as it entered a construction zone at the intersection of Causley Street and Huron Street. A traffic stop was initiated, and the vehicle turned onto Lawton Street-a one-way street-before being directed into a nearby coffee shop parking lot.

During the interaction, police determined that the driver held a licence with an Ignition Interlock condition but was operating a vehicle without the required device. Further investigation revealed that the driver was prohibited from operating a motor vehicle unless equipped with an interlock device.

As a result, the driver was arrested, and the involved vehicle was impounded for 45 days.

Adrian FLONK, 50 years old from Bowmanville was charged with: Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on September 4, 2025.

Felipe NAPOLES Was Arrested

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after receiving reports of mischief at a local hotel.

On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Renfrew OPP responded to reports of a customer damaging property with a fire extinguisher.

As a result of the investigation, Felipe NAPOLES, age 41 from Barrie was charged with:

·        Mischief- obstructs, interrupts or interferes with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property

·        Mischief over $5000

·        Causing a disturbance

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke Court on September 10, 2025.

Stolen Vehicle Vs Home Collision – Suspects At Large

(LAURENTIAN VALLEY TWP., ON) – The resident of a home in Laurentian Valley Township been injured when his home was struck by a stolen car.

On Tuesday, July 22, 2025, shortly after 11:00 p.m., officers with the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to the incident on Drive-In Road in Laurentian Valley Township.

A car had left the roadway, became airborne and struck a house. A 78-year-old male in the home was transported to hospital by Renfrew County Paramedics. Injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

The car, which had earlier been reported stolen, was still running and was partially embedded in the side of the house. The driver and a passenger had fled on foot.

Additional officers and a Canine Unit responded to the scene and conducted an intensive search of the area but could not locate the individuals.

Home Invasion – 27 Year Old From Mitchell Arrested Again #3Strikes

(WEST PERTH, ON) – Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual following a break and enter and assault with a weapon in the Municipality of West Perth.

On July 19, 2025, the Perth County OPP launched an investigation after a receiving information that an individual broke into a residence and assaulted the homeowner with a baseball bat. The victim sustained minor injuries.

Jeremy WELSH, 27 years old of Mitchell, has been charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following offences:

  • Break and Enter
  • Failure to Comply with Probation Order – Two counts
  • Assault with a Weapon

WELSH is currently in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on June 25, 2025

Hwy 89 Fatal Hit & Run

(INNISFIL, ON) – The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is seeking a potential witness and has released the photo of the witness vehicle in relation to a fatal fail-to-remain collision on Highway 89 in the Town of Innisfil. 

On Sunday, July 13, 2025, shortly after 3:00 a.m., officers responded to a report of a deceased female located on the shoulder of Highway 89 near 5th Side Road. The deceased was identified as a 35-year-old from Richmond Hill.

The preliminary investigation indicates the victim was walking along Highway 89 when she was struck by a blue passenger vehicle travelling eastbound shortly after 2:00 a.m. The vehicle failed to remain at the scene. The vehicle has since been located and investigators are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the driver.

Investigators have also identified a white sport utility vehicle that was seen travelling closely behind the suspect vehicle at the time of the collision. Police believe the driver may have witnessed the incident and are seeking to speak with them regarding any information they may have.

As part of the investigation, Highway 89 was temporarily closed between King Street and 5th Side Road as members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team assisted with the investigation. The roadway has since reopened.

The Nottawasaga OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service. Assistance is being provided by OPP Forensic Identification Services.

$55 Million “Drug” Bust

(HALDIMAND COUNTY) – Several individuals were arrested following an illicit cannabis grow operation investigation in Haldimand County.

On July 16, 2025, members of the Provincial Joint Forces Cannabis Enforcement Team (PJFCET), West Region Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Emergency Response Team (ERT), OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), and several OPP Community Street Crime Units (CSCU), executed a Cannabis Act search warrant at a property on Highway 3, Jarvis.

More than 100,000 cannabis plants and over 900 pounds of dried cannabis bud as well as a large quantity of marihuana processing equipment and other property was seized.

The total value of seized cannabis is estimated to be over $55 million dollars.

The following individuals are charged under the Cannabis Act with Production – Cultivate Cannabis Without Authorization and Possession for the Purpose of Distribution: 

·        Thi BACH, 46 -years-old

·        Thi CU, 58-years-old

·        Minh HOANG, 56-years-old

·        Dung LEVAN, 54 years-old

·        Chang LIN, 55-years-old

·        THI LUU, 48-years-old

·        Hong NGUYEN, 48-years-old

·        Minh NGUYEN, 53-years-old

·        THI NGUYEN, 45-years-old

·        Trong NGUYEN, 24-years-old

·        Trung NGUYEN, 38-years-old

·        Thi TRINH, 52-years-old

·        Hai XU, 40-years-old

·        Hai XU, 44-years-old

·        Zheny YU, 41-years-old

All of the accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on a later date.

The PJFCET is responsible for enforcing the cannabis laws and investigating criminal enterprises that exploit or abuse the legal cannabis market.

Shawn JOLIE Was Arrested – Details Released

(GREY BRUCE, ON)– The Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), in collaboration with Dufferin CSCU and the Grey Bruce OPP Crime Unit, has made a third arrest in connection with an ongoing property crime investigation spanning Grey and Dufferin Counties.

This investigation began in early July 2025 following several break-and-enter incidents and reports of stolen property across the region. On July 15, 2025, a stolen Ford F650 U-Haul truck was located in Melancthon Township. On July 16, 2025, two individuals were arrested in Southgate Township following a report of a suspicious vehicle. A search of the truck uncovered tools and items linked to a break and enter in Meaford, as well as break-in instruments. Later that same day, a stolen 18-foot flatbed trailer was seized from a property in Melancthon Township.

On July 17, 2025, police arrested a third individual in relation to this investigation.

Shawn JOLIE, 49-years-old, from Fergus, has been charged with the following criminal code offences:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 (two counts)
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 (three counts)
  • Possession of Break-In Instruments

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on August 21, 2025.

(DUFFERIN COUNTY) – Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Halton Hills resident with impaired driving-related offences following a single motor vehicle collision.

On July 15, 2025, shortly after 11:15 p.m., officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision on County Road 17 in the Township of Melancthon. Upon speaking with the male driver, officers observed signs of impairment, leading to an impaired driving investigation.

•      Failure or refusal to comply with demand

Callum MARCEAU – Speeding, Drunk Driving

(DUFFERIN COUNTY) – Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Conn resident with impaired driving-related offences following a traffic stop.

On July 13, 2025, shortly after 11:30 a.m., officers were on general patrol when they observed a vehicle of concern. A traffic stop was conducted on Highway 10 in the Town of Mono.

While speaking with the male driver, officers noted signs of impairment, prompting an impaired driving investigation. The driver was subsequently arrested and charged.

Callum MARCEAU, a 28-year-old male, from Conn has been charged with:

•      Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

•      Having care or control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available

•      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

•      Speeding 1 – 49 Km/h over posted limit

The accused individual is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their driver’s licence was suspended, and their vehicle impounded.

Northumberland Weekend Update

(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) – Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to several incidents over the weekend, including a collision involving a train.

Port Hope – Assault Investigation

On July 20, 2025, at approximately 3:20 a.m., officers responded to a dispute at a residence on Perrytown Road in the Municipality of Port Hope. Upon arrival, police determined that a physical altercation had taken place involving multiple individuals.

One person was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result, the individual has been charged with:

  • Assault – two counts
  • Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court

The accused will not be named to protect the identity of the victim and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in August.

Alnwick/Haldimand – Public Intoxication

On July 20, 2025, at approximately 9:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of an unwanted person causing a disturbance at a residence on Shearer Point Road in the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand. Police located the individual, who was uncooperative and subsequently taken into custody.

A 63-year-old male from Thomasburg has been charged with:

  • Being intoxicated in a public place

Roseneath – Vehicle Collides with Residence

On July 20, 2025, at approximately 3:30 a.m., officers responded to a collision on County Road 45 in Roseneath, where a passenger vehicle had left the roadway and struck a residence. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the Fire Department also attended the scene. The home sustained significant damage.

The driver, a 19-year-old female from Etobicoke, was transported to hospital with non-serious injuries and has been charged with:

  • Careless driving
  • Class G1 licence holder – unaccompanied by qualified driver

Hamilton Township – Vehicle Collides with Train

On July 21, 2025, shortly after 3:00 p.m., OPP received a report from CN Police regarding a collision between a pick-up truck and a train at a railway crossing on Pentecostal Road in the Township of Hamilton.

Officers arrived to find the vehicle with significant front-end damage. The driver, a 74-year-old male from Westbrook, was uninjured but assessed by EMS as a precaution.

The westbound train came to a stop further down the line and resumed travel once cleared. The north track was temporarily closed and reopened shortly before 4:20 p.m.

The driver of the pick-up truck, has been charged with:

  • Disobey railway crossing signal – proceed unsafely

The OPP reminds all motorists and pedestrians of the critical importance of obeying railway crossing signals. Trains can take more than a kilometre to come to a complete stop, and collisions at crossings are often severe or fatal. Always:

  • Stop when signals are activated – never try to beat a train.
  • Look both ways before crossing, even if signals are not active.
  • Never stop on the tracks – ensure there is space to fully cross before proceeding.
  • Stay alert – avoid distractions like phones or loud music near crossings.

Juwon GOLDSON – Assault, Mischief, Etc.

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – One individual has been charged following a police response to a disturbance in Simcoe.

At approximately 10:39 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a disturbance on South Drive in Simcoe.

The investigation revealed that a group of individuals had been involved in an interaction at the location, during which one person physically assaulted two others. No injuries were reported.

As a result, 31-year-old Juwon GOLDSON of St. Catherines, Ontario, was arrested and charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Assault – two counts,
  • Obstruct Peace Officer,
  • Being intoxicated in public place,
  • Mischief – obstructs, interrupts or interferes with the lawful use, enjoyment, or operation of property.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

The OPP reminds community members that under the Liquor Licence and Control Act, 2019, it is illegal to be intoxicated in public places where the general public is invited or allowed access, or in any shared areas of residences with multiple dwellings.

20 Year Old Facing Drunk Driving Charge

(DUFFERIN COUNTY) – Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an Alton resident with impaired driving-related offences following a single motor vehicle collision.

On July 13, 2025, shortly after 3:00 a.m., officers responded to a call for service near the intersection of Hurontario Street and Ten Sideroad in the Town of Mono. Upon locating the suspect vehicle and speaking with the male driver, officers observed signs of impairment, leading to an impaired driving investigation.

Jacob WEAVER, a 20-year-old male, from Alton has been charged with:

•      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

•      Dangerous operation

•      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

•      Young driver – B.A.C. above zero

The accused individual is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their driver’s licence was suspended, and their vehicle impounded.

Sheila HUTCHISON – Impaired Driving

(MISSISSIPPI MILLS TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an Ottawa resident with impaired driving.

On Monday, July 21, 2025, Lanark County OPP conducted a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) check on March Road at Appleton Side Road, Mississippi Mills Township. Just after 11:00 p.m., a vehicle approached the RIDE, and the driver spoke with officers. As a result of this interaction, the officers arrested the driver and transported the individual to the OPP detachment in Carleton Place for testing.

At the conclusion of the investigation, Sheila HUTCHISON, 62-years-old, of Ottawa, has been charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, August 25, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
