Rocks Thrown At Vehicles – Ammar AL-ZUBAIDI Arrested

(NIAGARA, ON) – One individual has been charged in connection with incidents in which police believe rocks were thrown at moving vehicles in the Niagara Region.

Between June and August 2025, the Niagara Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received multiple reports of rocks being deliberately thrown at moving vehicles from the side of the road or from overpasses.

Incidents were reported in the following areas:

-Highway 406 between Westchester Ave and Fourth Ave, St Catharines.

-QEW near Mountain Rd, Niagara Falls.

-Highway 58 near Pine St, Thorold.

As a result of the investigation, Ammar AL-ZUBAIDI a 48 year-old male from St Catharines was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

• Mischief Endangering Life – nine counts

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in St Catharines on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.

The investigation is being conducted by the Niagara OPP, with the assistance of the OPP Highway Safety Division Crime Unit, in coordination with Niagara Regional Police.

Hospital Calls Police – Sarah JACIW Arrested

(BANCROFT, ON) – The Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police has charged one person following a complaint at the Quinte Health North Hastings Hospital.

On Sunday August 17, 2025, shortly after 3:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of an intoxicated person being belligerent at the hospital in Bancroft. When officers arrived, they observed damage that had been done to the building.

As a result, Sarah JACIW, age 27, was charged with mischief.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on October 7, 2025.

Christopher TAYLOR Was Arrested

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual has been charged following an investigation into an incident involving property damage in Simcoe.

On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at approximately 10:01 p.m., the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an individual damaging the entryway of a residential building on Norfolk Street South in Simcoe.

Officers located the individual at the scene, where they were taken into custody.

As a result, 34-year-old Christopher TAYLOR, of no fixed address, has been charged with the following alleged offence:

  • Mischief – destroys or damages property.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

Alexander PINTO Arrested After Riding Top Of Train

(GLENGARRY TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person for riding on the top of a moving train.

On Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at approximately 3:00 p.m., the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SD&G) OPP responded to a train stopped on the tracks between Dornie Road and County Road 30 in North Glengarry Township. 

As a result of the investigation, Alexander PINTO, 23 years-old, of Mississauga was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Mischief
  • Enter on land on which a line work is situated

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

Felipe NAPOLES Was Arrested

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after receiving reports of mischief at a local hotel.

On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Renfrew OPP responded to reports of a customer damaging property with a fire extinguisher.

As a result of the investigation, Felipe NAPOLES, age 41 from Barrie was charged with:

·        Mischief- obstructs, interrupts or interferes with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property

·        Mischief over $5000

·        Causing a disturbance

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke Court on September 10, 2025.

Teens Wreck Chepstow Ball Diamonds – Name Released

(BROCKTON, ON) – On July 12, 2025, at approximately 8:31 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of overnight damages to the ball diamonds in Chepstow, Municipality of Brockton.

Police attended and discovered that a pick-up truck and an Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) had attended the ball diamonds the previous evening, drove through the grass and spun tires causing damages to the area.

As a result of the investigation, two individuals face charges:

Cory HARRON, 18-years-old, resident of Brockton was charged with:

  • Mischief – destroys or damages property, CC 430(1)(a)

A 17-year-old resident of Brockton was charged with:

  • Mischief – destroys or damages property, CC 430(1)(a)
  • Dangerous operation, CC 320.13(1)
  • Obstruct peace officer, CC 129(a)

The youth’s identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).

The accused are set to appear on September 3, 2025, at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice to answer to the charges.

Feces Smearing After Arrest – John James COLQUHOUN


On January 11, 2025, at approximately 4:00 a.m. an individual high on drugs attended the Hillside Drive North detachment and caused a disturbance in the lobby. The man was very belligerent, threatening, and uncooperative with police. He was subsequently arrested and later that morning smeared his own feces all over the walls of the cell.    

John James COLQUHOUN, 66-years-old from Elliot Lake, was charged with – Mischief under $5000.

The accused was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Blind River on July 12, 2025.

22 Year Old From Kincardine Arrested

(KINCARDINE, ON) – On June 14, 2025, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an alleged assault at a business location in Kincardine.

Officers attended and took information from the complainant, alleging they had been assaulted by a store employee. Further investigation and review of security camera footage showed that an assault never occurred, and the complainant had stolen from the business.

Aanchal PATEL, 22-years-old, of the Municipality of Kincardine has been charged with:

  • Public mischief, CC 14(1)(a)
  • Theft under $5000, CC 334(b)

The accused is set to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton on August 27, 2025, to answer to the charges.

Avinash SINGH Was Arrested

(MUNICIPALITY OF TRENT HILLS, ON) – The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following a report of suspicious persons.

On June 6, 2025, at around 12:45 p.m., police responded to a report from Warkworth Institution regarding drone activity in the area. Details were also provided relating to a vehicle being driven in a field off County Road 30 in the Municipality of Trent Hills.

Officers patrolled the area and located the vehicle matching the description provided. The two occupants of the stationary vehicle were taken into custody and evidence relating to the drone was seized.

As a result, Avinash SINGH (21) from North York, has been charged with:

–      Mischief – obstructs, interrupts or interferes with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property.

A 17-year-old male, also from North York, has been charged with:

–      Mischief – obstructs, interrupts or interferes with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property.

The individual shall not be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).

Both accused as due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.

Fake Abduction Results In Arrest Of Jean-Luc THIBEAU

(SOUTH ALGONQUIN TWP., ON.) – An individual who previously alleged they were abducted at gunpoint has now been charged with public mischief.

On Monday, March 17, 2025, members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to South Algonquin Township after a delivery driver reported he had been held against his will at gunpoint.

The individual claimed that they had encountered a female and male, armed with a handgun, in Brundell-Lyndoch-Raglan Township early that afternoon. He indicated the two individuals accompanied him in the van along numerous roads in the area before stopping and then they fled on foot.

The OPP’s Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit were called-in but were unsuccessful in locating any trace of the individuals. The OPP’s Forensic Identification Services and the UOV OPP Crime Unit assisted in the investigation.

Following an in-depth investigation, the claims were determined to be false.

As a result, 30-year-old Jean-Luc THIBEAU of Belleville has been charged with public mischief.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on Monday, July 7, 2025.

Multiple People Injured & Vehicles Damaged – Suspect(s) At Large

(NORTH PERTH, ON) – Police are requesting public assistance with identifying a vehicle of interest in relation to incidents where multiple vehicles were damaged and people were injured.

On May 27, 2025 the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of multiple vehicles being damaged by having items thrown at them on Perth Road 164 near Perth Line 89 in the Municipality of North Perth.

Two people sustained minor injuries as a result of these incidents.

The vehicle of interest is described as:

–       Black Ram pick-up truck

–       LED lights

–       Blacked out “RAM” logo

Windows Smashed – Dan John READ Arrested

(WELLINGTON NORTH TWP, ON) -The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested one person after windows were broken at several downtown Arthur businesses and residences in the early morning hours of May 25, 2025. 

On Sunday May 25, 2025, at approximately 5:45 a.m., Wellington County OPP responded to a report of an individual that was breaking windows along George Street in Arthur.

Upon police arrival, a suspect was located nearby and arrested.

In total, five businesses and two private residences were damaged.

As a result of the investigation, Dan John READ, a 45-year-old of no fixed address is charged with:

  • Mischief-destroys or damages property (seven counts)

(BRANT,ON) – On May 19, 2025, at approximately 6:07 p.m., members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a break and enter at a residence on McLellan Road in the County of Brant.

Upon arrival, officers located an individual unlawfully inside the home. As a result of the investigation, one person was taken into custody.

Paul HELMER, 47 years old, from Brantford, has been charged with:

  • Being unlawfully in a dwelling house
  • Mischief under $5,000

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on June 19, 2025.

Leonard STEEP Was Arrested In Clinton

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual following an incident that took place in the Municipality of Central Huron on Wednesday April 23rd, 2025.   

Just after 9:00 p.m., on April 23rd, 2025, police were contacted to investigate damage to a vehicle caused by an individual who was still at the scene on Albert Street in Clinton, Central Huron. Police attended and located the individual who was arrested shortly after for the offence of Mischief. During their arrest, the accused resisted arrest but was eventually taken into custody.

Leonard STEEP, 43 years of age from Central Huron has been charged with:

–      Mischief Under $5,000,

–      Resist Peace Officer.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on June 2nd, 2025.

42 Year Old Arrested After Investigation

(GODERICH, ON) – On April 20th, 2025, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a matter involving intimate partners in the Town of Goderich.

As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had allegedly committed a criminal act against their partner.

A 42-year-old individual from South Bruce was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offence:

–      Mischief Under $5,000.

The accused was processed, held for a bail hearing, and later released with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on May 11th, 2025.
