Kit MCCABE – Impaired Operation

(NIPIGON, ON) – Officers from the Nipigon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint of an impaired driver in the town of Nipigon, ON

On October 2, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle swerving all over the road near the Nipigon river bridge, officers located the vehicle at a local gas station. The driver was subsequently arrested for impaired operation and transported to the detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Kit MCCABE, 65, of Patience Township, Ontario, has been charged with the following Criminal Code offence:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Nipigon.

The OPP remains committed to ensuring the safety of all road users. Members of the public are urged to report suspected impaired driving by calling 911 in emergency situations. Complaints of impaired, aggressive, or careless driving can also be made by calling 1-888-310-1122.

Deceased Located Following Fire

(CLARENCE-ROCKLAND, ON) – Members of the Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of a fire at an apartment building in Clarence-Rockland.

On Sunday, November 16, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Russell County OPP officers were dispatched to a fire at an apartment building on Laurier Street. Officers attended the scene alongside the Clarence-Rockland Fire Department. The fire was quickly extinguished and contained to a single apartment.

During the response, fire officials advised police that a deceased individual had been located inside the apartment.

The Office of the Chief Coroner (OCC), the Office of the Fire Marshal (OFM), and the OPP Forensic Identification Services attended to assist with the investigation. The incident and death have been determined to be non-suspicious in nature.

Wyatt TURNER – Drunk Driving

(Nipigon, ON) Members of the Nipigon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) initiated a traffic stop after a complaint of a possible impaired driver in Nipigon, Ontario.

On August 1, 2025 at approximately 2:00 a.m., officers were notified of a possible impaired driver near Nipigon, officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was arrested for impaired operation and taken back to the detachment for further testing.

Wyatt TURNER, 25 years old of Nipigon, Ontario has been charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs – Criminal Code of Canada
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus) – Criminal Code of Canada

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Nipigon.

Police Use Local School As Training Ground #FilmThePolice #FTP

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), West Region OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), and West Region OPP In-Service Training (IST) are partnering with the Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board (HPCDSB) on November 21st to conduct emergency response training at St. Annes Catholic Secondary School in Clinton.

The school will be closed to students as they have a P.A. Day on November 21st.

Emergency responders will be conducting training exercises pertaining to scenarios involving high risk situations including active attackers. Training is planned to commence at 09:00 a.m. and will continue until approximately 3:30 p.m. on Friday, November 21st.

Members of the public will notice several emergency response vehicles and personnel in and around the school properties and need not be alarmed.

Criminal Activity Shuts Down Wingham Bridge #PurgeCouncil

(NORTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating damage to the Wingham trail walking bridge that has resulted in its closure until repairs can be made.   

On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, police were contacted to investigate damage to the bridge located West of Josephine Street in the Town of Wingham.

Police surveyed the damage to the bridge which included sections of railing that had been broken and cut, making them unsafe for the public.

Evidence at the scene suggests the culprit(s) used power tools to attempt to remove sections of railing. An adult male was observed by a member of the public shaking the railing and was last seen wearing a black jacket with a reflective stripe.

Drug Bust – MACALPINE & OUELLETT

(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON) – A proactive traffic stop in Kirkland Lake resulted in two arrests and the seizure of drugs.

On Saturday September 13, 2025, the Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting general patrol in the Town of Kirkland Lake. Officers stopped a vehicle after confirming the licence plates were not valid.

Open alcohol was observed inside the vehicle, which led to a search. As a result of the search, officers seized suspected ecstasy, crystal methamphetamine, and cocaine, with a street value of over $2,300. Additionally, scales, brass knuckles, and approximately $330 in Canadian currency were seized.

As a result of the investigation, Jasmine OUELLETTE, a 26-year-old from Cobalt, has been arrested and charged with:

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- cocaine

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- ecstasy

·      Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

·      Carrying a concealed weapon

The accused is schedule to appear before the Kirkland Lake Ontario Court of Justice on November 27, 2025.

Additionally, Neil MACALPINE, a 28-year-old from Kirkland Lake, has been arrested and charged with:

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- cocaine

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- ecstasy

·      Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

·      Operation while prohibited under the criminal code

·      Fail to comply with probation order

·      Drive motor vehicle no currently validated permit

·      Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle

·      Permit use of plate not authorized for vehicle

·      Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor

·      Operate motor vehicle without insurance

·      Driving while under suspension – five counts

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Kirkland Lake Ontario Court of Justice on November 27, 2025.

Justin Kack Arrested Following Collision

(CLARENCE-ROCKLAND, ON) – Members of the Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a man following a vehicle collision in Bourget.

On Saturday, November 15, 2025, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Russell County OPP responded to a report of a vehicle striking a residence in Bourget. While en route, officers were advised that the driver had fled the scene on foot.

The OPP Canine Unit was deployed to assist in locating the individual.

As a result of the investigation, 43-year-old Justin Kack of Rockwood, Ontario has been charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada (CC), the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA), and the Highway Traffic Act (HTA):

  • Possession of property obtained by crime – CC
  • Mischief – rendering property useless – CC
  • Failure to comply with an undertaking – CC
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance – CDSA
  • Careless driving – HTA
  • Driving while under suspension – HTA

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on January 7, 2026.

Repeat Offenders Arrested Again – Patricia WHYTE & Denis BERNARD

(NIPIGON, ON) – On November 18, 2025, at approximately 6:15 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Nipigon Detachment responded to a report of gas theft from a business on Rock Bay First Nation.

Officers quickly located the suspect vehicle and discovered it had been reported stolen from Thunder Bay. Further investigation revealed additional offences.

As a result, two individuals from Thunder Bay have been charged:

Patricia WHYTE, 41, is charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Theft under $5,000
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
  • Five counts of Failure to Comply with Release Order

Denis BERNARD, 41 is charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Theft under $5,000
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order

Both accused were held for a bail hearing and remain in custody.

Kylie DICKSON – Drunk Driving

(NIPIGON, ON) – On November 17, 2025, at approximately 10:30 a.m., officers from the Nipigon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an individual sleeping in a running vehicle in the town of Nipigon.

Officers spoke with the occupant and determined that their ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by a controlled substance. The individual was arrested and transported to hospital for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Kylie DICKSON, 24, of Nipigon, Ontario, has been charged with the following Criminal Code offence:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Nipigon on January 6, 2026.

Drug Bust – Brady BORG & Kylie DICKSON

(NIPIGON, ON) – In July 2025, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Nipigon Detachment launched an investigation into suspected drug trafficking in the Nipigon area.

As a result of this investigation, on November 17, 2025, officers arrested and charged two individuals:

Brady BORG, 24, of Nipigon, Ontario, is charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:

  • Trafficking in a Schedule I substance – Cocaine

Kylie DICKSON, 24, of Nipigon, Ontario, is charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:

  • Trafficking in a Schedule I substance – Cocaine
  • Trafficking in a Schedule I substance – Fentanyl

Both accused were held for a bail hearing and remain in custody.

Claudia CASTELLANOS MUNOZ Facing Numerous Charges

(OTTAWA, ON) – Members of the Ottawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid impaired driving related charges against an individual from Ottawa after the driver struck a barrier on Highway 417 and fled the scene.

Shortly before 11:30 p.m. on November 17, OPP received a call regarding a vehicle that had struck the center barrier on Highway 417 eastbound near Carling Avenue.  The driver’s airbags deployed, but they continued driving. OPP located the vehicle, and suspected the driver to be impaired by alcohol. The driver refused to provide a breath sample to police.

As a result, Claudia CASTELLANOS MUNOZ, 28 years of age faces the following charges:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Dangerous Operation
  • Assault peace officer
  • Fail to remain
  • Fail to report accident
  • Operate unsafe vehicle

The accused had her licence suspended for 90 days and had her vehicle impounded for seven days. She is set to appear in an Ontario Court of Justice in Ottawa at a later date.

Jeremy LORD Was Arrested For Theft

(HALDIMAND COUNTY) – An individual has been arrested following a report of shoplifting from a business in Dunnville.

On November 17, 2025, at approximately 4:00 p.m., members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a theft on Queen Street.

The investigation determined that an individual was located and taken into custody for an unrelated theft investigation. The accused was later arrested for the new charge.

Jeremy LORD, 26-years-old of Dunnville is facing a court date to answer to the following offences:

  • Theft Under $5000 (two counts)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on December 30, 2025.

Tyler DENHAM Arrested In A-C-W For Drunk Driving

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH TWP, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Huron-Kinloss Township resident with impaired driving offences following a traffic stop on October 29, 2025, in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Township. 

Just after 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, Huron County OPP officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle on Bluewater Highway in ACW Twp. The driver was subsequently arrested for impaired operation.

The accused provided breath samples before a qualified Intoxilyzer Breath Technician at the Huron County OPP detachment in Clinton. Breath samples provided to police resulted in readings over the legal limit.

Tyler DENHAM, 39 years-of-age from Huron-Kinloss Twp. has been charged with:

–      Impaired Operation – Alcohol and Drug,

–      Impaired Operation – Over 80.

The accused was additionally charged with two offences found in the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).

The involved vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on November 24, 2025.

Goderich Church Property Damaged -Stephanie ELLIOTT Arrested Again #3Strikes

(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual following an incident that took place in the Town of Goderich on October 27, 2025.   

On Monday, October 27, 2025, police were contacted to investigate damage to church property located on Victoria Street North in Goderich.

Police attended the scene and arrested the person responsible, and they were charged as follows:

Stephanie ELLIOTT, 46 years-of-age of no fixed address has been charged with:

–      Mischief Under $5,000,

–      Fail to Comply with Probation.

The accused was processed, held for a bail hearing, and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on November 24th, 2025.

Pedestrian Struck In Brockton Hit & Run

(BROCKTON, ON) – On November 14, 2025, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a collision involving a pedestrian along Durham Street East in the Municipality of Brockton.

The collision occurred on November 13, 2025, at approximately 5:00 p.m., where a pedestrian was struck in the crosswalk of Durham Street East and Elm Street by a black sports utility vehicle (SUV), which then fled the scene, turning onto Old Durham Road.

The driver is described as a white female, late 20’s or early 30’s, small build, brown hair, with a young child in the back seat of the vehicle.
