Sheridan MONKMAN Facing Numerous Charges

(Red Lake, ON) Members of the Red Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) initiated a traffic stop after a complaint of a possible impaired driver in Balmertown, Ontario.

On Monday, November 17th, 2025 at approximately 9 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle and an impaired driving investigation commenced. The operator was arrested and charged under multiple legislations.

Sheridan MONKMAN, 30 years old of Lundar, Manitoba was charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs – Criminal Code of Canada
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus) – Criminal Code of Canada
  • Possess Unmarked Cigarettes – Tobacco Tax Act
  • Drive Vehicle or Boat with Cannabis Readily Available – Cannabis Control Act 2017
  • Driver – Fail to Surrender Licence – Highway Traffic Act
  • Driving Motor Vehicle with Liquor Readily Available – Liquor Licence and Control Act 2019

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Red Lake on December 11th, 2025. The accused faced a 90 day Driver’s Licence suspension, as well as a 7 day vehicle impoundment.

On Thursday, November 13, 2025, at approximately 12:00 p.m., a Renfrew OPP officer conducted a traffic stop in Admaston/Bromley township.

As a result of the investigation, Morgan CHABOT age 31 of Admaston/Bromley Township was charged with:

–      Fail to comply with release order

The accused was held for a bail hearing.

Mark BARR Was Arrested – Details Released

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person following a suspicious person call for service.

On Thursday, November 13, 2025, at approximately 8:50 p.m., Renfrew OPP officers responded to a suspicious person call for service, in Whitewater Region Township.

As a result of the investigation, Mark BARR age 44 of Whitewater Region Township was charged with:

–      Obstruct peace officer

–      Two counts of unlawfully in a dwelling house

The accused was released and is schedule to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on December 17, 2025.

Robert GRAINGER Was Arrested

(RENFREW, ON) – The East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after executing a search warrant in the Town of Arnprior.

On Friday, November 14, 2025, officers with CSCU attended a residence in Arnprior and executed a search warrant at the residence.    

As a result of the investigation, Robert GRAINGER age 56 of Arnprior was charged with:

–      Possession of a schedule I substance- Opioid (other then heroin)

The accused was released and scheduled to attend the Pembroke Court of Justice on December 17, 2025.

$20,000 Drug Bust – Jonathan JOURDAIN

(FORT FRANCES, ON) – A Fort Frances local has been arrested and charged with multiple drug trafficking charges and Criminal Code offences.

On Monday, November 10, 2025, The Rainy River District Ontario Provincial Police Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) with the assistance of the Treaty Three Police Street Crime Unit completed an investigation into drug trafficking in the downtown core of Fort Frances. Police seized fentanyl, cocaine, hydromorphone, currency and other evidence of drug trafficking. The estimated street value of the drug seizure is approximately $20,000.

As a result of the investigation, Jonathan JOURDAIN, age 36 of Fort Frances was charged with:

·      Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl

·      Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

·      Possession of a Schedule I Substances for the Purpose of Trafficking – Hydromorphone

·      Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5000

·      Fail to Comply with Probation

·      Possession of Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Fort Frances at a later date.

Reginald WILSON – Drunk Driving

(HUNTSVILLE, ON) – On November 17, 2025 at 2:56 p.m., officers of the Huntsville O.P.P. responded to a complaint of a male possibly driving while impaired on Highway 35 in Lake of Bays Twp. 

Information was the male smelled of alcohol and was driving a commercial truck with a bucket arm on it, a specific company name on the door and a license plate number was provided. 

Police located the vehicle travelling westbound on Highway 60 and stopped the vehicle after it exited onto Highway 11 southbound.

Officers suspected the driver to have alcohol in his body and the driver subsequently failed the roadside screening test.

As a result of the investigation, Reginald WILSON, 34 years old of Pakenham Ontario, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80plus)

·        Drive commercial motor vehicle while in contravention of conditions

·        Fail to maintain daily log

·        Drive motor vehicle with open container of liquor

The accused is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on December 16, 2025

The large company vehicle has been impounded for 7 days and the accused was also served a 90 Administrative Driver’s License Suspension.

19 Year Old Drunk Driver Arrested

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual has been charged following an impaired-related collision investigation near Simcoe.

On Friday, November 14, 2025, at approximately 9:16 p.m., the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single-vehicle collision involving a pickup truck on Concession 13 Townsend, just outside Simcoe.

The investigation determined that the vehicle was travelling along Concession 13 Townsend when it left the roadway, entered a ditch, and struck a tree. No injuries were reported.

Officers located the driver at the scene and, following an interaction, took them into custody without incident.

As a result, 19-year-old Hunter SCHIMPKY of Norfolk County was charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs,
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus),
  • Dangerous operation.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

More Impaired Drivers – MCCORMACK, LINDSAY-CAMPBELL & STOREY

(QUINTE WEST, ON) – The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges in several impaired driving investigations over the weekend.

On Saturday, November 15, 2025, at approximately 9:00 p.m., the Quinte West OPP conducted a traffic stop for speeding, the driver was arrested for impaired.

Sean MCCORMACK, age 38, from Oshawa, was charged with:

•               Speeding 1-49 km/h over posted limit

•               Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

•               Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on December 4, 2025. The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and their license suspended for 90 days.

On Sunday, November 16, 2025, at approximately 3:00 a.m., the Quinte West OPP were conducting R.I.D.E., an approved screening device was utilized and the driver arrested for impaired.

Jordan LINDSAY-CAMPBELL, age 30, from Tyendinaga, was charged with:

•        Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor

•        Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

•        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on December 4, 2025. The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and their license suspended for 90 days.

On Monday, November 17, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m., the Quinte West OPP conducted a traffic stop for a Highway Traffic Act infraction, the driver was arrested for impaired.

Peyton STOREY, age 32, from Clarington, was charged with:

•               Obstruct plate

•               Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available

•               Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

•               Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

•               Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on December 18, 2025. The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and their license suspended for 90 days.

Kyle ZDRILICH – Drunk Driving

(ESSA, ON)- Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual with impaired driving following a single motor vehicle collision in Essa Township.

On November 16, 2025, shortly after 9:00 a.m., Nottawasaga OPP responded to a single in the ditch on the 5th Sideroad between 9th and 10th Line in Essa Township. Officers located the vehicle and met with the driver who did not sustain any injuries. During the interaction, grounds were formed that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol leading to the driver’s arrest.  

As a result of the investigation, Kyle ZDRILICH 36-years-old of Bradford was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

The accused is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on December 18, 2025, to answer to the charges.

$1.8 Million Cocaine Bust

(Municipality of Shuniah, ON) – Two individuals are facing drug trafficking charges following a traffic stop in the Municipality of Shuniah.

On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, shortly before 11:30 a.m., members of the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop for a violation under the Highway Traffic Act. During the investigation, officers located 18 kilograms of suspected cocaine inside the vehicle. The estimated street value of the seized drugs is approximately $1,800,000. Following further investigation, the following charges were laid:

Kaiona HAZEL, age 26 of Oshawa was charged with

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Traffick in Schedule I Substance – cocaine

Ashley NEWELL, age 29 of Ajax was charged with

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Traffick in Schedule I substance – cocaine

Both accused were held for bail and will be appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay at a later date.

Robert BENOIT – Drunk Driving

(ESSEX COUNTY, ON)- On November 17, 2025, at 8:30 p.m., a member of the Lakeshore Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment was on patrol and observed a vehicle driving erratically on County Road 22 at Wallace Line Road in the Municipality of Lakeshore.

The officer conducted a traffic stop and upon speaking to the driver, determined that they had previously consumed alcohol. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to a local detachment for further testing.

As a result, Robert BENOIT, a 52-year-old of Lakeshore, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·        Operation while Impaired – Alcohol

·        Operation while Impaired – Blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·        Dangerous Operation

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor to speak to the charges on December 2, 2025.

Marc Aaron DAWLEY-COLE – Drunk Driving

(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – On November 15, 2025, an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) operator was charged after a lengthily crash investigation.

On August 6, 2025, at approximately 6:15 p.m. the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a single vehicle collision involving an ATV on Mississauga Avenue. The ATV hit a hydro pole, tangled in lines, and flipped onto a residential front yard fence. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transported the lone operator to hospital for further assessment. After an in-depth investigation, the operator was arrested and charged.   

Marc Aaron DAWLEY-COLE, 23-years-old, from Elliot Lake was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired by alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Dangerous operation
  • Fail to have insurance card

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on January 25, 2026.

David POWER – Drunk Driving

(DUFFERIN COUNTY) – The Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Hamilton resident with impaired driving-related offences following a traffic stop.

On November 13, 2025, shortly before 11:00 p.m., officers on general patrol in the area of Fifth Avenue in the Town of Orangeville observed a vehicle strike a curb while attempting to enter a parking lot. Officers then initiated a traffic stop.

During the interaction, officers observed signs of impairment, and an impaired driving investigation was initiated.

David POWER, a 44-year-old male from Orangeville, has been charged with the following offence:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available

·      Careless driving

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their driver’s licence has been suspended, and the vehicle has been impounded.

5 More Impaired Drivers – MCINTOSH, CAMIRAND, COFFEY, RIDDELL & KACHUROWSKI

(WELLINGTON COUNTY, ON) – Five impaired drivers have been taken off Wellington County roadways since November 13, 2025.

Over the weekend, officers from the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) carried out proactive traffic enforcement, attended several collisions and responded to a traffic complaint. These efforts led to five drivers being charged with impaired driving.

With the holiday season quickly approaching, the Wellington County OPP is reminding drivers of the importance of finding a safe and sober ride home.

On November 13, 2025, at approximately 9:15 p.m., thanks to a call from a concerned member of the public, members of the Wellington OPP responded to the report of a suspected impaired driver. The driver was found travelling at a high rate of speed on Wellington Road 109 in Arthur.

Tyler MCINTOSH, a 33-year-old of Dundalk, is charged under the Criminal Code and the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed
  • Speeding 50+ km/h over posted limit

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on November 28, 2025. 

On November 15, 2025, at approximately 3:45 p.m., a member of the Wellington County OPP Traffic Management Unit was performing a proactive traffic enforcement initiative and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle showing signs of impairment on St. David Street North in Fergus.

Damien CAMIRAND, a 43-year-old from Fergus, is charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while Impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on November 25, 2025.

On November 15, 2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP responded to the report of a single-vehicle collision with a hydro pole on Victoria Road South in Puslinch Township.

Neil COFFEY, a 39-year-old from Rockwood, is charged under the Criminal Code and the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Operation while impaired – drugs and alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Careless Driving

The driver sustained minor injuries.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on November 25, 2025.

On November 16, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m., members of the Wellington OPP responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision into a house on William Street in Clifford.

Ian RIDDELL, a 21-year-old from Clifford, is charged under the Criminal Code and the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Dangerous operation
  • Fail to report accident
  • Fail to remain

There were no reported injuries.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on November 28, 2025.

Lastly, on November 16, 2025, at approximately 4:15 a.m., the Wellington OPP responded to the report of a single-vehicle collision into a ditch on Highway 7 in the Guelph-Eramosa Township.

Nathan KACHUROWSKI, a 29-year-old from Guelph, is charged under the Criminal Code, with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A passenger sustained minor injuries and was transported to s local hospital.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on November 25, 2025.

Any driver charged with impaired driving receives a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a 45-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

Andrew CLARKE – Drunk Driving

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an impaired driving investigation on November 16, 2025, following a single motor vehicle collision.

On November 16, 2025, at approximately 1:58 p.m., officers were alerted to a single vehicle collision on Woodville Road in Eldon Township. Upon arrival, police learned the driver had initially failed to remain at the scene but later returned. Through investigation, the driver was arrested and charged with impaired driving offences.

Andrew CLARKE, 48 years old, of Woodville, has been charged with:

·        Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

CLARKE is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date.

As a result of the charge, CLARKE received a 90-day driver’s licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
