The Windsor Police Service is seeking the public’s help identifying a suspect following a knifepoint robbery at a convenience store.
Shortly after 8 p.m. on September 14, 2025, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at a business in the 1300 block of Wyandotte Street East. An investigation revealed that an unknown male had entered the store, threatened an employee, and demanded money. When the employee refused, the suspect brandished a knife and pointed it at the victim before fleeing the scene empty-handed.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
The suspect is described as a Middle Eastern man, approximately 20-25 years old, with dark hair and a slim build. At the time of the incident, he wore prescription eyeglasses, a short sleeve Adidas jersey, and black pants.
Once located, the individual will face charges of robbery with an offensive weapon and uttering threats to cause bodily harm.

The Thunder Bay Police Service has responded to several calls relating to bears in recent weeks in areas throughout the city.
Here are some important things to remember:
- Do not feed bears.
- Keep food waste in secure containers.
- Keep a safe distance from bears.
- If you encounter a bear, slowly back away while keeping it in sight.
- If a bear is in a tree, do not surround it.
Not every bear encounter is an emergency.
Calls to police should be made in situations where a bear poses an immediate safety threat or is displaying aggressive or threatening behaviour.

Region of Peel – Peel Regional Police’s Central Robbery Bureau, in collaboration with Windsor Police Service, have arrested and charged two individuals in relation to an armed carjacking in Brampton.
On May 10, 2025, a Brampton man was stabbed after arranging to sell his Dodge Challenger on Facebook Marketplace. While on a test drive with two suspects, one produced an edged weapon, threatened the victim, and stabbed him in the throat when he refused to exit the vehicle. The suspects fled in the car, and the victim was taken to a trauma centre with serious injuries.
The victim’s vehicle was later recovered by police in Windsor the next day.
On Sept. 11, 22-year-old Simranjeet Singh and 20-year-old Parteek Ehitaan, both residents of Windsor were arrested for the following offences:
- Attempted Murder
- Robbery
- Aggravated Assault
Both were held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice

On September 17, 2025, at approximately 13:33 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a break and enter at a residence in Chatham.
Upon arrival, officers observed damage to a window that had been forced open. Police obtained access to the residence and located a 33-year-old female from Chatham-Kent inside.
The suspect was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Count 1: Break, enter a dwelling with intent to commit an indictable offence
Further investigation revealed that the suspect was bound by a probation order that included conditions not to be near the residence. As a result, she was additionally charged with the following offence:
- Count 2: Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where she is currently being held for bail.

On September 18, 2025, the Chatham-Kent Police Service conducted a person stop on Grand Avenue, West, Chatham.
A 42-year-old female from Chatham was located. The individual initially provided false identification to officers. Following further investigation, it was confirmed that the individual possessed several outstanding warrants for her arrest.
Subsequently, she was arrested and charged with the following offence:

Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a robbery at a convenience store in the Christopher-Champlain area of Cambridge.
On September 18, 2025, at approximately 1:40 a.m., police responded to a report of a robbery at a store on Christopher Drive.
Four youth suspects attended the business, stole merchandise, and assaulted an employee.
No physical injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
The investigation is ongoing by members of WRPS’ Neighbourhood Policing South Division.

LONDON, ON (September 18, 2025) – Members of the London Police Service (LPS) Road Safety Section are investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred in the east end of the city yesterday afternoon.
On Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at approximately 4:20 p.m., emergency crews responded to a serious collision in the 1400-block of Beckworth Avenue involving a vehicle and a scooter.
The male who was operating the scooter was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries and has since succumbed to those injuries. The driver of the motor vehicle remained on scene.
The intersection was temporarily closed as investigators processed the area and collected evidence.
The investigation has now been taken over by the LPS Road Safety Section and remains ongoing.
Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area between 4:10 – 4:25 p.m. and may have witnessed the collision, or who has dashcam, residential, or business surveillance footage, to please contact us.

UPDATE – LONDON, ON (September 17, 2025) – Members of the London Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section have identified the suspect in the ongoing sexual assault investigation from earlier this week.
With assistance from the public, the male suspect was identified, located and arrested yesterday, Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
As a result of the investigation, Jakub Bindernagel, 28, of London has been charged with one count of invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age.
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in London court today in relation to the charge.

LONDON, ON (September 16, 2025) – The London Police Service (LPS) Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man in relation to an ongoing investigation.
On Sunday, September 14, 2025, at approximately 1:20 p.m., police responded to a call in relation to a suspicious person near Attawandaron Park in the north end of the city.
Officers responded and learned that three girls walking on the pathway came across a man with a white dog.
While the girls spoke with the man about the dog, he uttered inappropriate comments about his genitals.
The girls left the area and told their parents. Police were contacted.
A description of the suspect male was provided, and police searched the area with negative results.
The suspect is described as male, White, approximately 5’9” to 6’0”, 30 – 40 years old, medium build with brown hair below the ears. He was wearing shorts and a t-shirt at the time of the reported incident and had a small white dog with him.
Investigators are urging anyone who may have information about this investigation, the suspect, or who may have been in the area between 12:30 and 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon and have dash-cam, residential or business video surveillance, to contact the London Police Service.
The investigation remains ongoing.

The Guelph Police Service is investigating after two east-end homes were damaged by a woman with a baseball bat Wednesday night.
Just before 9 p.m. police were called to a townhouse complex near Auden Road and Eastview Road. A resident reported a woman came to her front door yelling and carrying a metal baseball bat. The resident managed to close the front door then heard it being struck several times. The resident did not know the woman.
While officers were en route, police heard from a resident of a different townhouse complex in the same area. He said someone buzzed an intercom at his front door and started yelling while demanding to be let inside. He refused and then heard the door being struck several times.
The suspect was described as possibly of First Nations descent with black hair in a ponytail and wearing a beige cardigan. Both homes sustained minor damage.

$6k chain removed in distraction theft
Residents are reminded to be cautious when interacting with strangers after a visitor from India had a $6,000 gold chain stolen during a distraction theft Wednesday morning.
A south-end resident called police Wednesday afternoon. She said her mother-in-law in her 60s was out for a walk shortly after 11 a.m. when she was approached by a couple near the intersection of Goodwin Drive and Laughland Lane.
They engaged her in conversation and gave her a $20 bill. The suspects also hugged her, at which time they removed her gold chain and replaced it with a fake one. The victim did not realize what had happened until she got home.
The couple were described as being in their 40s with fair skin and speaking English with a Middle Eastern accent. They were in a vehicle which was last seen on Goodwin Drive towards Victoria Road South.
The stolen chain has tremendous sentimental value as it was received as a wedding gift more than 40 years ago.

Impaired charge after collision
A Guelph man is charged with impaired driving after a car went off the road and hit a tree in the south end Thursday morning.
Just after 5 a.m. police were called to the intersection of Kortright Road West and Scottsdale Drive after reports of a vehicle possibly colliding with a building. Officers arrived on scene and discovered the driver of a BMW had lost control, gone off the road and struck a tree. No injuries were reported but the vehicle was destroyed.
After failing a roadside breath test the driver was arrested and transported to the police station, where further tests confirmed he had more than the legal amount of alcohol in his system.
An 18-year-old Guelph man is charged with impaired driving and several Highway Traffic Act offences. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The Guelph Police Service would like to encourage the public to consume alcohol and cannabis responsibly. Please don’t drive if you are going to consume alcohol or cannabis, and please ensure that you plan ahead so that you have a safe ride home. Anyone who spots a suspected impaired driver is asked to immediately call 911.

(THUNDER BAY, ON) – The Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two drivers following a collision that closed Highway 11/17 for just over two hours on the evening of Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
The collision involving a motorcycle and truck at Oliver Road and Highway 11/17 occurred at approximately 8:40 p.m. The motorcycle rider had already been transported to hospital prior to OPP arrival.
The highway was closed in both directions to allow for the investigation and reopened just after 10:45 p.m.
As part of the investigation, officers attended the hospital, where the motorcycle rider was observed to be impaired. A subsequent breath test was conducted, which the individual failed.
As a result, Chester NIX, age 66, of Slate Falls First Nation, was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on October 29, 2025.
The driver of the pickup truck was also charged with failure to afford reasonable opportunity to avoid a collision.
The OPP reminds motorists that driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs is dangerous and poses serious risks to everyone on the road. Members of the public are encouraged to report impaired driving by calling 911 in emergencies.
(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – A youth has been charged in connection with a weapons-related incident in Delhi.
On Monday, September 15, 2025, at approximately 1:40 p.m., Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a weapons-related incident on Imperial Street in Delhi.
The investigation determined that an interaction took place between two groups of youths, during which one individual brandished what appeared to be a firearm and physically assaulted another on the premises. No injuries were reported.
As a result, a 16-year-old resident of Carrying Place, Ontario, was arrested and charged with the following alleged offences:
- Pointing a firearm,
- Assault with a weapon,
- Obstruct Peace Officer,
- Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court (two counts).
The accused, whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
(INGERSOLL, ON) – Members from the Oxford Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a sudden death in the Town of Ingersoll.
On September 17, 2025, at approximately 12:00 p.m., Oxford OPP were dispatched to assist Oxford County Paramedic Services with an individual in Memorial Park.
The individual was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Members of Oxford OPP continue to investigate with assistance from Oxford Crime Unit and OPP Forensic Identification Services in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner.
The investigation is in the early stages so no other details will be shared at this time.

(ESPANOLA, ON) – Two people are facing charges after police conducted a traffic stop for a dirty licence plate.
On Sunday, September 14, 2025, at approximately 9:00 p.m., the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a motor vehicle with a licence plate obstructed by dirt swerving on Highway 6 in Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands Township. A traffic stop was initiated and as a result of the investigation, both the driver and passenger were arrested.
Police seized amounts of suspected cocaine and crack cocaine with a total estimated street value of $9,000.
The driver, Jason CARUSO, 43-years-old from Lively, was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – drugs
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
- Fail to have insurance card
- Fail to surrender licence
- Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle
- Operate unsafe vehicle
The passenger, Renee DAIGLE, 40-years-old from Hanmer, was charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine.
Both accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay on October 7, 2025.
(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual has been charged in connection with an impaired-related collision near Delhi.
On Monday, September 13, 2025, at approximately 8:52 p.m., Norfolk County OPP officers responded to a single-vehicle collision involving a pickup truck on Brantford Road, just outside Delhi. No injuries were reported.
After locating and speaking with the driver near the scene, officers took the individual into custody without incident.
As a result, 34-year-old Steven TOTA of Norfolk County was charged with the following alleged offences:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs,
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

(BANCROFT, ON) – Four people have been charged following a drug trafficking investigation, which began in the summer of 2025 by Bancroft OPP.
On Tuesday, September 16, 2025, the OPP Community Street Crime Unit, Emergency Response Team (ERT), Canine Unit and members of the Bancroft Detachment executed a warrant at a residence in Faraday Township.
Officers located a quantity of suspected methamphetamine, Canadian currency, a conducted energy weapon (CEW) and other items commonly related to drug trafficking.
Kent BOWERS, age 41, from Belleville has been arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking, methamphetamine
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Fail to comply with probation order – three counts
Erica OLMSTEAD, age 32, from Hastings Highlands has been arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking, methamphetamine
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Fail to comply with probation order
Christopher RAMSAY, age 47, from Faraday Township has been arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a weapon
- Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order – nine counts
- Fail to comply with probation order – two counts
Tanya SHWEDO, age 47, from Faraday Township has been arrested and charged with unauthorized possession of a weapon.
All four accused remain in custody pending upcoming court dates.
(TILLSONBURG, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment responded to a traffic complaint, which resulted in several impaired driving related charges.
On September 14, 2025, at approximately 11:20 p.m., members of Oxford OPP responded to a traffic complaint on Lisgar Avenue in the Town of Tillsonburg.
As a result of the investigation, Joshua BANMAN, a 19-year-old resident of Delhi, has been charged with:
- Operation While Impaired
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 plus
- Operate a Vehicle with an Open Container of Liquor
- Novice Driver BAC above 0
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on November 4, 2025.
