$250,000 In Product Stolen From LCBO

Region of Peel – Investigators from the 21 Criminal Investigation Bureau have charged five individuals in connection to an organized prolific theft ring targeting the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO).

Between August 2024 and February 2025, the group collectively stole from 50 LCBO locations across various jurisdictions. On many occasions, multiple suspects would enter the store together and operate in a coordinated manner to distract and keep watch of employees, while others entered through a restricted access point to steal volumes of liquor. To date, approximately $237,738.95 worth of products were stolen.

As a result of the investigation, five individuals have been arrested and charged with Theft Over $5000, while three of them have received additional charges:

Anuj Kumar, 25-year-old man of no fixed address

Simarpeet Singh, 29-year-old man of no fixed address

Sharndeep Singh, 25-year-old man of no fixed address

  • Breach of Release Order

Simranjeet Singh, 24-year-old man of no fixed address

  • Break and Enter with Intent to Commit Indictable Offence

Prabhpreet Singh, 29-year-old man from Caledon

  • Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence

All five arrested individuals were held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

Additionally, two individuals of no fixed address are wanted for Theft Over $5000 and Break and Enter with Intent to an Commit Indictable Offence:

  • Jagshir Singh, 28-year-old man
  • Punit Sehjra, 25-year-old man

By arresting and charging multiple individuals, we are sending a strong message that those who target our communities will be found and held accountable. We remain committed to pursuing criminals who threaten the safety of our neighborhoods, and ensuring they face justice for their actions,” said Deputy Chief Marc Andrews, Peel Regional Police.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police anticipate more charges to be laid.

Child Sexually Assaulted: Sundeep Vilkhu Arrested #PervertAlert

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Special Victims Unit (SVU) have charged a Brampton man following a sexual assault investigation.

In January 2025, SVU detectives began an investigation following criminal allegations from a concerned parent. It is alleged that the suspect, working as a teaching assistant sexually assaulted a child within the school. This incident allegedly occurred in the 2017-2018 academic year at a public school in the area of Main Street and Queen Street in the City of Brampton. 

On Thursday, Feb. 6, 35-year-old Sundeep Vilkhu was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Sexual Assault
  • Sexual Interference
  • Invitation to Sexual Touching

He was released with conditions and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton at a later date. 

The accused is no longer employed by the school board.

Investigators are concerned that there may be additional victims and are appealing for them or anyone with information to come forward.

Van Puppies Rescued – 49 Year Old Arrested

 – Investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have charged a Mississauga man following an investigation into allegations of animal cruelty.

On Feb. 9, 2025, police received information of a possible puppy mill operating out of a business near Dundas Street West and Mavis Road in Mississauga.

On Feb. 10, officers attended the business to investigate the matter and discovered five puppies caged in a vehicle inside a garage. Inside the van, the puppies were living in abysmal conditions with urine and feces throughout and no suitable food or water.

49-year-old Ersin Misirlisoy of Mississauga has been arrested and charged with Causing Unnecessary Suffering To Animals contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is to attend court at a later date to answer to the charge.

Police confirmed that no other animals are outstanding. The puppies are now in the care and custody of the Mississauga animal shelter, where they will remain pending judicial outcome.

Attempted Murder

 – Investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested and charged a male in connection with a neighbour dispute shooting in the City of Mississauga.

On Friday, Jan. 24, 2025, at around 10 a.m., police responded to a shooting in the area of Rathburn Road West and Perivale Road, in Mississauga. The suspect and the victim engaged in a verbal dispute resulting in the victim being shot. The victim was transported to a trauma centre and is expected to make a full recovery. 

On Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025, investigators executed a Criminal Code search warrant at the suspect’s residence and seized numerous firearms, thousands of rounds of ammunition, and other weapons.

Richard Loo, a 62-year-old man from Mississauga was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Attempt Murder
  • Aggravated Assault
  • Discharge Firearm
  • Possession of Firearm
  • Carry Concealed Weapon
  • Possession at Unauthorized Place
  • Careless Storage of a Firearm
  • Point Firearm
  • Utter Threats
  • Assault

He was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

Home Invasion

Region of Peel – Investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested and charged a male in connection with a series of criminal offences involving forcible confinement and robbery with a firearm.

On Wednesday, December 4, 2024, a male victim was bound and restrained at a residence in Mississauga and a demand for money was made. The male attended the victim’s home obtained various bank cards and later forced the victim to withdraw a large sum of money from a financial institution before being released unharmed.

On Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at approximately 4:00 a.m., the male re-attended the victim’s home armed with a handgun and confronted a second victim forcing his way in. During this confrontation, miscellaneous items were stolen from the residence.

On Friday, January 3, 2025, investigators with the assistance of our Tactical Unit executed a Criminal Code search warrant at a residence in Mississauga where the following items were seized:

  • Sig Sauer p320 Firearm
  • Three Prohibited magazines
  • Ammunition hidden in a furnace
  • Pellet Gun
  • Identification belonging to the victim

Darko Jugova 35-year-old man from Mississauga who is currently on bail release was arrested, and found to have a firearm. He was charged with the following offences:

  • Forcible Confinement
  • Robbery
  • Robbery with a Firearm
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Prohibited Device
  • Break and Enter
  • Extortion

He was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

Multiple Firearms, Drugs, and Cash Seized in Firearm Investigation

Region of Peel – Officers from the 11 Division Community Incident Response Team (CIRT) have charged two individuals with multiple firearms and drug related offences.

On Sunday, Dec. 29, 2024, CIRT officers with the assistance of our Tactical Unit executed a Criminal Code search warrant at a residence in the area of Lakeshore Road and Hydro Road, in the City of Mississauga.

As a result of the search warrant, investigators seized two loaded firearms, one equipped with an extended magazine, and an auto sear. An auto sear allows a semi-automatic firearm to be converted into one capable of automatic firing with a single, continuous pull of the trigger. Additionally, a quantity of drugs along and a quantity of Canadian currency was seized.

Rain Dunham, a 25-year-old man from Mississauga, was arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:

  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm (X2)
  • Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm (X2)                        
  • Possession of a Prohibited Device (X2)
  • Possession of Firearm Knowing Serial Number Removed/Altered/Defaced
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Proceeds of Crime
  • Possession for Purpose of Trafficking (X2)

Jayden Hurley, a 24-year-old man from Mississauga, who is currently on bail release for several violent offences, including unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm, aggravated assault, and discharge firearm with intent was arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:

  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm (X2)
  • Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm (X2)                          
  • Possession of a Prohibited Device (X2)
  • Possession of Firearm Knowing Serial Number Removed/Altered/Defaced
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Proceeds of Crime
  • Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (X2)    

Both individuals were held for bail hearings and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

Andre Davis Charged With Human Trafficking, Assault, Etc. 

Region of Peel– Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Specialized Enforcement Bureau- Vice and Human Trafficking Unit have arrested and charged a 31-year-old man from Toronto in relation to a Human Trafficking investigation.

In October 2024, officers commenced an investigation after a victim approached police. The victim alleged the accused recruited, took control of aspects of a female adult’s life, exploited her in the sex trade, and benefited from it financially.

In November 2024, investigators arrested and charged Andre Davis with the following offences:

  • Trafficking in Persons
  • Advertising Sexual Services
  • Exercise Control, Direction or Influence
  • Receiving Benefit Resulting from Trafficking in Persons
  • Material Benefit from Sexual Services
  • Assault
  • Forcible Confinement
  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Forcible Confinement

He was held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

Investigators from the Specialized Enforcement Bureau Vice and Human Trafficking Unit believe there may be more victims of Human Trafficking and prostitution offences. Loaded @ RIDE Results In Arrests

Region of Peel – Officers from the Road Safety Services RIDE unit located a loaded firearm after investigating a vehicle in Mississauga.

On Sunday, December 22, 2024, at 1:50 a.m., RIDE officers initiated a traffic stop in the area of Atlantic Drive & Enterprise Road in Mississauga. During the investigation, a loaded firearm was located and seized.

Jawad Sami, a 26-year-old man from Toronto, was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Loaded Firearm
  • Careless Storage of a Firearm
  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Occupant of a Motor Vehicle Knowing There was a Firearm
  • Possession of Firearm
  • Unauthorized Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Weapon

Mr. Sami was held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

Ehsan Saleh, a 24-year-old man from Toronto, was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Loaded Firearm
  • Careless Storage of a Firearm
  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Occupant of a Motor Vehicle Knowing There was a Firearm
  • Unauthorized Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Weapon
  • Have Care and Control of Vehicle with Cannabis Readily Available.

Mr. Saleh was held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

Police Rescue 3 Kidnap Victims – 10 Arrested

Region of Peel – Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested and charged ten people in relation to a kidnapping investigation. 

On Tuesday, December 17, 2024, our patrol officers along with 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau investigators attended an address in the area of Kennedy Road & Conservation Drive in the City of Brampton, in response to a kidnapping investigation. With the assistance of our Tactical Unit, police entered the residence and located three victims within the residence, who were rescued and brought to safety. Subsequent to that, police executed search warrants, which resulted in the seizure of a loaded Ruger Security 9 handgun, a Glock 17 Gen 5 handgun and ammunition.

As a result of this investigation, a total of ten parties were located inside the residence, arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:

  • Kidnapping
  • Forcible Confinement
  • Assault Cause Bodily Harm
  • Various Firearms Offences

They were all held for special bail hearings at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

Know Sex Offender Arrested Again – Richard Walker #PervertAlert

Region of Peel – Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested and charged a known sex offender in relation to an indecent act investigation that took place in the City of Brampton.

On December 20, 2024, police were called to the area of Madronna Gardens and Montoya Gate in Brampton for a man allegedly driving around the area in a Honda Fit committing an indecent act.

Following an investigation, Richard Walker, a 50-year-old man and known sex offender from Brampton, was arrested and charged on December 21, 2024, with the following Criminal Code Offences: 

  • Indecent Act in a Public Place 
  • Fail to Comply with Prohibition Order

Mr. Walker was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

Child Sexually Assaulted – Justine Watson Arrested

– Investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau have arrested an individual following a stranger sex assault and suspect that others have been victimized.

On December 9, 2024 the victim, a female under the age of 18 was present in the Square One area of Mississauga when she was approached by the suspect. It is alleged that the suspect made advances towards the victim, kissing and touching her inappropriately. The victim managed to leave the situation and was not physically injured.

Investigators were able to identify the suspect, and on December 16, Johnathan Watson, also known as Justine Watson, 29-years-old of no fixed address, was arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton. They are charged with:

  • Sexual Assault
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order (X2)

At the time of arrest, Johnathan was bound by release orders stemming from two prior and separate charges of Sexual Assault.

Violent Home Home Invasion – Child & Father Struck With Hammer

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau have charged two suspects in connection to a violent gunpoint home invasion that occurred in the city Brampton over two years ago in 2022.

It is alleged that in the early morning hours on November 11, 2022, the victim was at his residence with his wife, parents and four children near Mississauga Road and Sandalwood Parkway, in Brampton. 

Four suspects pulled up to the driveway and forced the victim, at gunpoint, into the garage.  Demands were made for money and the victim was struck in the head with a firearm.  The other three suspects entered the home and confronted the rest of the family making similar demands for money. As the victim attempted to flee the garage, one suspect fired a shot in his direction which fortunately missed. The suspects then fled the area in a stolen vehicle.

The victim and his father who was struck by a suspect with a hammer were both treated for minor injuries.

Following a lengthy and complex investigation spanning multiple provinces, police have identified and charged two suspects.

On February 9, 2024, a 17-year-old male youth was charged with:  

  • Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
  • Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing there was a Firearm
  • Wearing a Disguise with Intent
  • Point Firearm
  • Robbery
  • Using a Firearm While Committing an Offence
  • Intentionally Discharging a Firearm
  • Possession of Stolen Property x2

On December 13, 2024, police charged Shaquille Martin, a 32-year-old from Brampton with:

  • Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing there was a Firearm
  • Robbery
  • Wearing a Disguise with Intent
  • Point Firearm
  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Possession of Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  • Possession of Stolen Property x2

A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of the name of a Young Person, and, therefore, the identity of the Young Persons charged in this investigation is protected.

This investigation remains ongoing, and police anticipate more charges could be laid.

Bryan Devereaux Wanted By Police – Licence Plate DARP182

Region of Peel – Investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau seek assistance from the public to locate a man involved in a physical altercation with a female.

On December 17, 2024, at 11:47 a.m. police received a report of an altercation between a man and a woman in the area of Mississauga Road and Meadowvale Boulevard in Mississauga.

During the incident, the man was reportedly seen striking the female and forcing her into a vehicle before leaving the area.

The vehicle is a 2006 Acura MDX SUV, black in colour bearing Ontario licence plate DARP182. The vehicle has a gold Acura emblem and front end damage.

Police attempted to intercept the vehicle however the driver did not stop and managed to evade police.

The driver has been identified as 48-year-old Bryan Devereaux of Kitchener.  He is described white, 5’7”, slim build.  He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, black rimmed glasses with yellow tint.

The unknown female is described as early 30s, 5’4”, medium build. Last seen wearing a full length parka.

Bryan is encouraged to seek legal counsel and turn himself in to police.

If Bryan or the vehicle is seen, police are asking members of the public not to approach but to call 9-1-1 immediately.

Persons for Identification – Brampton and Mississauga Protest Investigation

Region of Peel – Investigators are asking for help to identify individuals involved in criminality during the November protest incidents in Brampton and Mississauga.

A Strategic Investigative Team was formed to investigate several offences that occurred during and after protests at a Mandir on The Gore Road in Brampton as well as related incidents at the Westwood Mall in Mississauga.   

Included in this release are images of persons of interest or suspects responsible for offences that include assault, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, assault police officer and public incitement of hatred. Investigators are asking for your help in identifying them.

Investigators continue to analyze hundreds of videos of the incidents and are working to identify additional suspects involved and anticipate further arrests.
