Raymond HUNTER Arrested For Drunk Driving Again

(LUCKNOW, ON) – On March 2, 2024, at 8:36 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a suspected impaired driver. Officers located the vehicle along Canning Street in Lucknow and found that the driver had been drinking alcohol.

They were placed under arrest and taken to a Qualified Intoxilizer Technician for breath tests.

Raymond HUNTER, 63-years-old, from the Township of Huron Kinloss was charged with:

  • Impaired Driving
  • Operate over 80 milligrams

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton on April 10, 2024, to answer to the charges.

An impaired driving charge includes an immediate 90-day driver’s license suspension and an immediate 7-day vehicle impoundment.

40 Year Old From Kincardine Arrested – Name Released

(TIVERTON, ON) – On March 3, 2024, at 3:56 a.m., members of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting R.I.D.E. along Main Street in Tiverton, when they encountered an unlicensed driver.

Upon further investigation, officers found a quantity of illicit drugs in the vehicle.

Chad MILLER, 40-years-old, from the Municipality of Kincardine was charged with:

  • Driving while under suspension
  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Obstruct a Peace Officer

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton on April 24, 2024, to answer to the charges.

Repeat Offender Arrested Again – MADDEN

(SEGUIN, ON) – The West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged one person with impaired driving.

On March 3, 2024, shortly after 10:00 p.m. members of the West Parry Sound OPP came upon a collision on Highway 518 in the Township of Seguin. Both the driver and passenger were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

As a result of the investigation, Lauren MADDEN, 36 years-of-age of Seguin Ontario was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – causing bodily harm
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle – causing bodily harm
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed
  • Fail to comply with probation order – two counts

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on April 18, 2024. The accused was also issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

2 More Drunk Drivers Arrested

(DESERONTO, ON) – Officers of the Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged two drivers with impaired driving.

On March 1, 2024, shortly after 1:00 p.m., officers from the L&A County OPP received a report of a vehicle colliding with a parked vehicle in the driveway of a residence on Dundas Street in Deseronto. Police attended the scene and arrested the driver for impaired driving.

As a result of this investigation, L&A County OPP has charged Glenn MARACLE, age 61, of Deseronto, with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on March 26, 2024. The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

On March 1, 2024, shortly after 7:00 p.m., officers from the L&A County OPP received a report of a suspected impaired driver by Centre Street and Alkenbrack Street in Napanee. Police attended the scene and located the vehicle parked in a grocery store parking lot. Police arrested the driver for impaired driving. A search incidental to arrest police located two drivers licences and two credit cards that did not belong to the driver or the passenger.

As a result of this investigation, L&A County OPP has charged Jocelyn PILON, age 62, of Shefford, QC, with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Obstruct peace officer
  • Personation with intent (identity fraud) – two counts
  • Possession of credit card – two counts
  • Indecent act – public place

The accused was held for a bail hearing and later released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on a later date. The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

8 Break & Enters – Davyd KHOCHOLAVA Arrested

(ESSEX COUNTY, ON) – An individual has been charged after multiple Break and Enters were reported in Tecumseh and Lakeshore.

The Essex County Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) identified an individual who was responsible for eight Break and Enter investigations between May 21, 2023 and February 22, 2024.

As a result, on March 3, 2024, Davyd KHOCHOLAVA, 56 years-of-age of Windsor was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code Offences:

·        Robbery with violence S.343(a) CC (ONE COUNT)

·        Break, Enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence S.348(1)(a) CC (ONE COUNT)

·        Break, Enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence S.348(1)(b) CC (SIX COUNTS)

·        Possession Break In Instruments S 351(1) CC (SIX COUNTS)

·        Disguise with Intent S.351(2) (TWO COUNTS)

·        Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 S.354(1)(a) CC (ONE COUNT)

The accused was held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, located in Windsor.

Victim Scammed After Using Credit Card At Pump

(HURON COUNTY, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fraud following a report to police on February 21st, 2024. 

On February 21st, 2024, a 28-year-old individual from Perth County was filling up their vehicle with fuel at a gas station in the Municipality of South Huron, Exeter. They paid with a credit card at the gas pump, and shortly after received a phone call on their cellular device advising them that their credit card had been compromised. The person calling requested the victim’s credit card number and verification code. The victim provided both to the scammer. The victim was then directed to e-transfer $7,500 via e-mail to themselves to “save” their money. The victim received a verification code, but then realized their money had been stolen from their account.

The victim contacted the OPP and filed a report with their banking institution.

Drug Bust – Two Arrested

(DRYDEN, ON) – An investigation led by the Dryden Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit has led to charges being laid against two Dryden residents.

On March 4, 2024, just prior to midnight, a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant was executed at a residence on Pine Crescent, in the City of Dryden, where a quantity of oxycodone, Canadian currency, and other items associated with drug trafficking were seized. 

As a result, Clayton THOMPSON, 52-years-old, and Mary Maicy MACHIMITY, 49-years-old, both of Dryden, have been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:

·        Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking

·        Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000

The accused parties have been released and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on March 25, 2024, in Dryden.

Luke PALMER – Drunk Driving

(TOWNSHIP OF CRAMAHE, ON) – A member from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged an individual after a concerned citizen alerted police to an impaired driver.

On March 1, 2024, at approximately 8:50 p.m., OPP responded to a complaint regarding a passenger vehicle unable to maintain its lane travelling eastbound on Highway 401 in Hamilton Township. An officer located the vehicle on Big Apple Drive in the Township of Cramahe and entered into an impaired driving investigation.

Luke PALMER, 36-years-old from Colborne has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A further 90-day Administrative Driver Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impound was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.

There has now been 11 individuals charged for impaired operation since the beginning of 2024 in Northumberland County. Drivers are continuing to take chances and motorists are reminded that no amount of alcohol or drugs in your system is safe when driving.

Cocaine & Weapons Bust -LAVIEILLE & RETES Arrested

(MELANCTHON, ON) – Officers from the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) seized a quantity of drugs and charged two individuals as a result of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation in the Town of Shelburne.

On March 1, 2024, members of the Dufferin Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), along with Dufferin uniform members and Offender Management and Apprehension Program (OMAP) executed a search warrant at a home on Third Line in Melancthon. The search warrant resulted in the arrest of two individuals who are facing multiple charges. In addition, the officers seized a quantity of drugs.  

Brayden LAVIEILLE, 28-year-old from Dundalk has been charged with:

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid

Joshua RETES, 19-year-old of no fixed address

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

·      Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

·      Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime – under $5000

The following property was seized:

·      Cocaine – 96 Grams

Jordan GEORGE Arrested

(HAYCOCK TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Dryden Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment have arrested and charged one individual regarding a report of a stolen vehicle.  

On March 4, 2024, at approximately 11:30 p.m., members of the Dryden OPP Detachment responded to a report of a stolen pickup truck from a business in Kenora. Officers located the vehicle and attempted to initiate a traffic stop; however, the vehicle failed to stop for police.

A short time later, the vehicle was located on Memorial Avenue in the City of Dryden. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Dryden OPP Detachment.

As a result, Jordan GEORGE, 33-years-old, of Wabigoon Lake First Nation, has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with:

·        Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000

·        Dangerous Operation

·        Flight from Peace Officer

·        Drive Motor Vehicle – no license

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in DRYDEN on April 15, 2024.

(BANCROFT, ON) – The Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual with Fail to Comply With A Undertaking.

On February 27, 2024 shortly before 1200 PM, Bancroft OPP responded to the report of someone continuously calling the caller after being told to stop. As a result of the investigation the police arrested one person.

Lyle JAN, a 68-year-old from Bancroft has been charged with Fail to Comply with an Undertaking.

The accused has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on March 05, 2024, in relation to the criminal charges.

Sunpreet Singh – Drunk Driving

(CALEDON, ON) – Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two individuals with alcohol related charges on Friday.

On March 1, 2024, Caledon OPP officers were conducting a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) spot check on Ellwood Drive West near Station Road, in the Town of Caledon. Just prior to 11:30 p.m., a vehicle entered the area and officers formed grounds the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.

Following the investigation, Luis PALACIOS-RAMOS, 58, of Caledon, was charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

Just moments later, on the same day, Caledon OPP officers received a report of a single vehicle collision on Heart Lake Road, near King Street, in the Town of Caledon. Shortly after 11:30 p.m., officers arrived on scene and subsequently formed grounds the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.

As a result of the investigation, Sunpreet Singh, 25, of Caledon, was charged with:

·        Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol

·        Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle

·        Failure or refusal to comply with demand

Both accused are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on March 21, 2024, to answer to their charge(s). The vehicles were also impounded for a period of seven days, and their driver’s licences were suspended for a period of 90 days.

Stephanie COECK – Drunk Driving

(SEVERN TOWNSHIP, ON)- On March 3, 2024 near 10:00 a.m. an officer from the Southern Georgian Bay OPP Detachment was patrolling on Highway 400, Severn Township in a police vehicle equipped with a Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) at which time the ALPR made notification of a possible suspended driver operating the SUV. A vehicle stop was made resulting in the officer upon speaking with the driver and entered into an drinking and driving investigation.

As a result of this investigation the driver of the SUV, Stephanie COECK 44-years of Bala has been charged criminally with the following driving offences.

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

And Further with

  • Driving while under suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

The accused was released from police custody to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice  on March 14, 2024, and faces a 90 day driver’s licence suspension along with a tow and impound invoice for seven days as per the Ministry of Transportation (ADLS) guidelines).

Recently, patrol officers were able to set up 12 Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) programs at various roadway locations resulting in over 180 drivers being checked for signs of impairment.

Matthew GORRIE Arrested – Meth A Factor

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a London area resident with several criminal offences following an investigation on February 20th, 2024. 

Just after 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20th, 2024, a Huron County OPP officer was off duty in the Municipality of South Huron, Exeter when they received information of a shoplifting incident that just occurred at a business located on Thames Road East in Exeter. The officer followed the suspect a short distance outside and advised the suspect that they were a police officer and produced their police badge. The suspect resisted arrest and was quickly subdued by the officer. Additional officers arrived shortly after and secured the suspect.

The accused was then transported to the Huron OPP detachment for processing. The stolen items valued at over $750 were recovered.

Matthew GORRIE, 33 years of age from no fixed address in the London area has been charged with:

–      Theft Under $5,000,

–      Resist Peace Officer,

–      Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine.

The accused was held for a bail hearing, and later remanded into custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich
