$118,000 Drug Bust – Name Released

(SOUTH PORCUPINE, ON) – A traffic stop on Highway 144 leads to drugs charges.

On Monday April 28, 2025, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the South Porcupine Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 144, Noble Township, just north of Gogama. 

As a result of the investigation, the OPP seized an amount of suspected crystal methamphetamine, fentanyl and cocaine with an estimated street value of approximately $118,730. Also seized was an amount of Canadian currency.

Manfred YIADOM-BOAKYE, 33 years-old, of Bradford, was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid (other than heroin)
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Drive motor vehicle with cannabis readily available
  • Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Monday May 26, 2025, in Gogama.

Christopher MACTAVISH Was Arrested In Goderich #RepeatOffender #3Strikes

(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual from Huron County following a mischief to property on Kingston Street in the Town of Goderich.

On April 25th, 2025, Huron County OPP officers were contacted regarding damage to a seating bench on Kingston in Goderich. The suspect was identified and arrested shortly after.

The accused has been charged as follows:

Christopher MACTAVISH, 42 years of age from No Fixed Address, has been charged with:

–      Mischief Under $5,000,

–      Fail to Comply with Probation Order.

The accused was processed, held for a bail hearing, and later remanded into custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Leonard STEEP Was Arrested In Clinton

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual following an incident that took place in the Municipality of Central Huron on Wednesday April 23rd, 2025.   

Just after 9:00 p.m., on April 23rd, 2025, police were contacted to investigate damage to a vehicle caused by an individual who was still at the scene on Albert Street in Clinton, Central Huron. Police attended and located the individual who was arrested shortly after for the offence of Mischief. During their arrest, the accused resisted arrest but was eventually taken into custody.

Leonard STEEP, 43 years of age from Central Huron has been charged with:

–      Mischief Under $5,000,

–      Resist Peace Officer.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on June 2nd, 2025.

Fatal Collision

(ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP, ON) – An individual is deceased following a single-vehicle collision in Sombra.

On April 29, 2025, at approximately 6:50 p.m., the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with St. Clair Township Fire Department, and Lambton Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a report of a collision at the intersection of St. Clair Parkway and West Smith Line in Sombra.

All four occupants of the sport utility vehicle (SUV) were transported to hospital. Three individuals suffered life-threatening injuries. One of the passengers, a six-year-old of Walpole Island First Nation, was later pronounced deceased at hospital. The driver sustained serious non-life-threatening injuries.

St. Clair Parkway was closed between South Street and West Holt Line. West Smith Line was also closed between Baseline Road and St. Clair Parkway. The closures remained in place for approximately six hours and have since reopened.

Members of the Lambton OPP, including the Lambton OPP Crime Unit and the OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) Team, continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.

The Lambton OPP is asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have dash cam footage from the area at the time of the incident to please contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

28 Year Old Facing Numerous Charges Following Hit & Run

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after receiving a report of a single vehicle collision. One person is still outstanding.

On Monday, April 28, 2025, at approximately 7:00 a.m., Renfrew OPP received a report of a vehicle in a ditch on Storyland Road, near Alex Lane in Horton Township. It was reported that the occupants of the vehicle were walking away from the scene.

Police arrived on scene and located the vehicle and damaged guardrails. Shortly after, both parties were located away from the collision scene on Storyland Road. Both declined medical attention.

As a result of the investigation, Alexander John HERBERT, age 28 of Renfrew was charged with:

·        Careless driving

·        Driver fail to surrender licence

·        Fail to remain

·        Fail to report damage to fence bordering highway

·        Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs

·        Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition

·        Possession property obtained by crime over $5000

·        Use plate not authorized for vehicle

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on June 11, 2025. The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Police have grounds for the arrest of the female occupant.

45 Year Old From North Huron Arrested #WaitInTheTruck

(NORTH HURON, ON) – On April 22nd, 2025, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a matter involving intimate partners in the Township of North Huron.

As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had allegedly committed a criminal act against their partner.

A 45-year-old individual from North Huron has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

–      Assault – Spousal,

–      Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on June 9th, 2025.

Home Invasion – Repeat Offender Arrested

(INVERARY, ON) – An individual has been arrested and charged following a home invasion incident and single vehicle collision.

Frontenac OPP responded to a serious incident on April 29, 2025, just after 7:30 p.m., at a residence in the Inverary area of South Frontenac Township. An individual had entered a residence and threatened the owners. The suspect fled the area in the homeowner’s vehicle, which was then involved in a rollover collision on Greenfield Road. The vehicle was engulfed in flames and the individual fled on foot.

South Frontenac Fire Rescue extinguished the vehicle fire and assisted with traffic control. Frontenac OPP officers, assisted by the OPP Emergency Response Team and the Canine Unit, contained the area and requested residents to shelter in place to assist with conducting a search for the individual.

Just after 8:30 p.m., the accused was located on Greenfield Road and taken into custody. He had sustained serious, but not life-threatening injuries from the collision.

Ethan THOMPSON , a 24-year-old from Mallorytown, has been charged with:

  • Robbery with theft.
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
  • Dangerous operation of a conveyance.
  • Theft of motor vehicle.
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.
  • Mischief – destroys or damages property.
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol or drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
  • Fail to remain at scene of collision.
  • Breach of probation order.
  • Drive motor vehicle – no licence.

The accused was released from custody and is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston, on June 10, 2025.

Jennifer BOUCHER – Drunk Driving

(ADELAIDE METCALFE, ON) – Driver facing impaired charge after traffic stop in Adelaide Metcalfe.

On April 28, 2025, at 9:19 a.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), while on general patrol on Centre Road in Adelaide Metcalfe, observed a vehicle travelling above the posted speed limit. A traffic stop was initiated.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

As a result, Jennifer BOUCHER, a 47-year-old of Strathroy, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on June 9, 2025.

Hunter SEREDIAK – Impaired Driving

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – Driver charged with Impaired after two-vehicle collision on Highway 401 in Thames Centre.

On April 26, 2025, at 4:49 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to the Westbound lanes of Highway 401 in Thames Centre for report of a two-vehicle collision.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

As a result, Hunter SEREDIAK, a 24-year-old of Woodstock has been charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Careless Driving

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on May 29, 2025.

There were no injuries reported.

Suspended Driver Facing Impaired Charge – Cocaine A Factor

(ADELAIDE METCALFE, ON) – Driver charged with impaired on Highway 402.

On April 26, 2025, at 3:06 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex-London Paramedic Service and local fire were dispatched to the Westbound lanes of Highway 402 for the report of a single vehicle collision.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

As a result, Cornelius MARANGE, a 33-year-old of Cambridge, has been charged under the Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act, Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Driving while under suspension

·      Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit

·      Poss of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine

·      Fail to surrender insurance card

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on May 23, 2025.

The driver was not injured.

SIU Invokes Madate Again! #FilmThePolice #FTP

(PEMBROKE, ON) – The province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has invoked its mandate following an incident in Pembroke.

On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, shortly before 1:00 p.m., officers with the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of a male on Mary Street behaving erratically and entering the roadway on foot, posing a safety risk to themselves and others.

Officers located the male and took him into custody. He was then transported to hospital. The OPP was advised that night that the male had suffered a non-life-threatening injury during the interaction.

The SIU was notified of the incident and has invoked its mandate. As a result, the OPP will not be able to provide any further information. Any media inquiries related to the SIU investigation should be directed to [email protected].

Jeremy RUTTLE – Drunk Driving

(TWEED, ON) – A member of the Central Hastings Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was able to nab an impaired driver – while on foot.

On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, shortly before 9:30 a.m., an officer was on Colborne Street in Tweed when she spotted a vehicle moving at a high rate of speed in the 50-kilometer per hour zone.

The driver stopped when the uniformed officer stepped out and indicated that the person needed to pull over.

An Approved Roadside Screening Device was utilized, and the driver was arrested and transported to the detachment for additional testing.

A search of the individual and the vehicle resulted in the seizure of suspected cocaine, suspected methamphetamine and suspected MDMA (ecstasy), as well as open alcohol.

As a result of the investigation, Jeremy RUTTLE, age 48 of Tweed, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance – three counts
  • Driving with an open container of liquor
  • Fail to apply for a permit upon becoming a vehicle owner
  • Fail to surrender permit for a vehicle

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on May 12, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

4 More Impaired Drivers Arrested – Names Released

(BRACEBRIDGE, ON) – Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged another four drivers with impaired driving.

On Sunday, April 27, 2025 at 2:40 p.m. Bracebridge OPP officers responded to a call from a member of the public about the condition of a driver on Muskoka Road 169 in Bala in Muskoka Lakes Township. Police conducted an investigation and subsequently arrested and charged 35-year-old Adam BUSCH of Hannon, ON with Impaired Operation CC 320.14(1)(a), Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b) and Transportation Fraud CC 393(3). He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on June 3, 2025 to answer to his charges.

Also on April 27, 2025 at 8:45 p.m. Bracebridge OPP officers received several traffic complaints from motorists driving on Highway 11 North in Gravenhurst about a vehicle that was described creating unsafe conditions. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Highway 11 just north of Bethune Drive. The driver was soon arrested and police have charged 20-year-old Celine LAFERRIERE of Port Sydney with Impaired Operation CC 320.14(1)(a), Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b), Dangerous Operation CC 320.13(1), Young Driver having B.A.C. above zero HTA 44.1(5) and Driving Motor Vehicle with Liquor Readily Available LLCA 42(1)(b). She will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on May 20, 2025 to answer to her charges.

On Monday, April 28, 2025 at 4:20 p.m. Bracebridge OPP officers were investigating a report of a person causing a disruption at a business in Mactier and were made aware that the suspect had left in a vehicle that she did not have permission to be driving. The owner of the vehicle located it in Port Carling and the female party fled the scene. She was located a short time later, on foot, by officers and placed her under arrest. Police have charged 52-year-old Paula LEPONIEMI of Barrie, ON with Impaired Operation CC 320.14(1)(a) and Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b). She will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on June 3, 2025 to answer to her charges.

On Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 1:40 a.m. a Bracebridge OPP officer was conducting general patrol in the town of Bracebridge and observed a vehicle travelling on Manitoba Street commit a traffic infraction. The officer conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested and charged 68-year-old Randall HUSSEY of Feversham, ON with Impaired Operation CC 320.14(1)(a), Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b) and Red Light-Fail to Stop HTA 144(18). He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on June 3, 2025 to answer to his charges.

John WILLIAMSON Was Arrested In Morris-Turnberry

(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a London resident with criminal driving offences following an investigation in the Township of Morris-Turnberry on April 21st, 2025. 

Just after 1:20 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2025, Huron County OPP officers responded to a traffic complaint in the Township of Morris-Turnberry. Officers located the suspect vehicle shortly after and spoke to the driver. The driver refused to provide a breath sample as required by law and was subsequently arrested. Further checks by police revealed that the driver was prohibited from driving. The accused was charged as follows:

John WILLIAMSON, 48 years-of-age from London has been charged with:

–      Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand,

–      Operation while Prohibited.

The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for 45 days.

The accused was later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on June 9th, 2025.
