29 Year Old From Walkerton Arrested – Details Released, Not Him #3Strikes

(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) – On September 26, 2025, at approximately 9:15 a.m., a member of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped to check a vehicle along the Grey-Bruce Line in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.

Upon seeing the police cruiser, the driver switched positions with the passenger in the vehicle; a poor attempt to confuse police. The investigating officer discovered that the driver was violating conditions of a prior release, and their licence was suspended.

Brett DUNSBIER, 29-years-old, resident of Walkerton, has been charged with:

  • Failure to comply with release order, CC 145(5)(a)
  • Driving while under suspension, HTA 53(1)

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.

21 Year Old Arrested After Pedestrian Incident

(BROCKTON, ON) – On March 7, 2025, at approximately 7:50 a.m., the South Bruce and Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with the Arran-Elderslie Fire Department, and Bruce County Paramedic Services responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on the Grey Bruce Line between Concession 2 and Concession 4, Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.

A 28-year-old pedestrian from Aurora was transported to a trauma centre with life threatening injuries.

After a thorough investigation by the South Bruce OPP, West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team, with assistance from the Ministry of Labour, a 21-year-old resident of Owen Sound has been charged with:

  • Careless driving causing bodily harm, HTA 130(3)

The accused is set to appear at the Walkerton Ontario Provincial Offences Court on October 7, 2025, to answer to the charge.

(BROCKTON, ON) – On September 14, 2025, at approximately 7:47 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a vehicle fire on B Line south of Highway 21, Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.

Investigation revealed that a blue pick-up truck was involved in a collision and became engulfed in flames. The occupant of the truck fled into the bush, them reemerged to steal another truck of a nearby resident who stopped to assist. The stolen vehicle was last observed travelling northbound at a high rate of speed by a shirtless male with possible burn wounds.

Police are searching for the following outstanding vehicle:

  • Black 2002 GMC Sierra bearing Ontario marker # CA25996 – bright silver hood, tonneau cover

Repeat Offender Derek SEIP Was Arrested Again

(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) – On August 19, 2025, at approximately 6:12 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an individual entering vehicles at night in the Town of Chesley. While investigating the initial complaint, police learned of numerous incidents involving the same individual over approximately a 3-year period.

Officers spoke with numerous residents and obtained grounds for several offences taking place in the Chesley area. On August 31, 2025, the individual was arrested after a lengthy engagement with police, bringing a large police presence to a residence along 1st Avenue North in Chesley. Members of the South Bruce OPP, OPP Canine, Crisis Negotiators, and the West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) were involved.

Between multiple incidents, Derek SEIP, 31-years-old, resident of Chesley, has been charged with:

  • Fail to comply with probation order, CC 733.1(1) – 9 counts
  • Fail to comply with release order, CC 145(5)(a) – 4 counts
  • Fail to comply with undertaking, CC 145(4)(a)
  • Mischief, CC 430(1)(c) – 8 counts
  • Trespassing at night, CC 177 – 3 counts
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, CC 88
  • Utter threats, CC 264.1(1)(a) – 2 counts

The accused was held for a bail hearing on August 31, 2025, and subsequently remanded into custody.

Hospital Damaged – Johnathan LEWIS Arrested Again

(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) – On August 31, 2025, at approximately 2:14 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a male damaging parking gates at a local hospital along 2nd Street Southeast in Chesley.

Police attended the area and located a male fitting the description provided. They were placed under arrest and held for a bail hearing and later released from custody.

On September 7, 2025, at approximately 11:42 p.m., the South Bruce OPP responded to a disturbance at an address along 2nd Avenue Southeast in Chesley. The same individual is alleged to have uttered threats to a resident. A warrant was executed on September 8, 2025, and the individual was taken into custody.

Between both incidents, Johnathan LEWIS, 49-years-old, resident of Chesley, has been charged with:

  • Mischief, CC 430(1)(d)
  • Breach of Recognizance, CC 811 (two counts)
  • Uttering threats, 264.1(1)(a)
  • Fail to comply with probation order, 733.1(1)

The accused was held for a bail hearing on September 9, 2025, and subsequently released from custody, to reappear at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice on September 24, 2025, to answer to the charges.

26 Year Old Facing Assault & Arson Charges

(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) – The South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid charges in an arson investigation in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.

On August 14, 2025, at approximately 5:16 a.m., the South Bruce OPP and Arran-Elderslie Fire & Emergency Services attended a residence in Burgoyne for an active structure fire. Officers determined that the fire had been deliberately set by an individual who was still on scene. They were taken into custody without incident.

A 26-year-old female resident of Arran-Elderslie has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Assault with a weapon, CC 267(a) – two counts
  • Arson – disregard for human life, CC 433(a)

The accused was held for a bail hearing on August 14, 2025, and subsequently remanded into custody.

Andrew PANTLIN – Impaired Operation

(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) – On August 11, 2025, at approximately 3:58 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a collision along Sideroad 5 Elderslie, Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.

Police attended and observed a single vehicle collision involving a hydro pole. The investigating officer spoke to the driver and detected signs of impairment. The driver was placed under arrest and transported for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Andrew PANTLIN, 45-years-old, of the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – B.A.C. 80 plus, CC 320.14(1)(b)
  • Dangerous operation, CC 320.13(1)

The accused is set to appear on September 10, 2025, at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice to answer to the charges.

Brittney HUYGEN Arrested Following Hit & Run

(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) – On July 16, 2025, at approximately 9:40 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a motor vehicle collision on Bruce Road 19, Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.

Police attended and discovered that a vehicle had driven on a closed section of Bruce Road 19 and struck a parked excavator. The driver fled the scene, however, was located shortly thereafter. The investigating officer detected signs of impairment from the driver, they were taken into custody and transported for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Brittney HUYGEN, 26-years-old, of the Municipality of Brockton, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – B.A.C. 80 plus, CC 320.14(1)(b)
  • Dangerous Operation, CC 320.13(1)
  • Fail to remain, HTA 200(1)(a)
  • Fail to report accident, HTA 199(1)
  • Drive on closed highway, HTA 134(3)
  • Fail to surrender licence, HTA 33(1)

The accused is set to appear on August 13, 2025, at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice to answer to the charges.

19 Year Old Repeat Offender Arrested For Assault, Threats, etc.

(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) – On June 28, 2025, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a matter involving intimate partners in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.

Investigation determined that a dispute between intimate partners led to an assault, where a handgun was brandished. The accused was taken into custody after a brief struggle with police. The handgun was seized and determined to be an imitation.

As a result of the investigation, a 19-year-old individual from Arran-Elderslie has been charged with:

  • Assault, CC 266
  • Uttering threats to cause death, CC 264.1(1)(a) – three counts
  • Fail to comply with release order, CC 145(5)(a) – two counts
  • Assault with intent to resist arrest, CC 270(1)(b)
  • Pointing a firearm, CC 87
  • Possession of imitation weapon for dangerous purpose, CC 88

The accused was held for a bail hearing and subsequently remanded into custody.

Chesley Standoff – Repeat Offender Arrested Again

(ARRAN-ELDERSILE TWP, ON) – Large police presence results in one individual being placed into custody within Chesley.

On June 7, 2025, at approximately 3:00 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), Crisis Negotiators, and West Region OPP K-9, responded to a disturbance call at an address on 1st Avenue North within Chesley.

Police units attended the scene where an individual barricaded themselves inside a residence. In the interest of public safety, a perimeter was established and the area was cordoned off.

On June 8, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m., the individual was placed under arrest without incident or injury.

As a result of the investigation, Derek SEIP, is charged under the Criminal Code with the following:

  • Uttering Threats – cause death or bodily harm (two counts)
  • Mischief – destroys or damages property
  • Fail to comply with probation order

The accused has been placed into custody, pending a bail hearing.

The incident has been resolved, and all resources are clear of the scene,

There was no threat to public safety.

Drug Bust – BRIDEAU, WILSON & Teenager

(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) – On June 6, 2025, at approximately 1:45 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a suspicious vehicle in the area of Goldie Street, Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.

Police attended and located the vehicle along Bruce Road 1 outside of Paisley. The investigating officer observed suspected illicit drugs in plain view. Three occupants were taken into custody and searched incident to arrest, leading to the seizure of approximately 10 grams of suspected cocaine, 5 grams of suspected crack, 16 grams of suspected fentanyl, and various paraphernalia associated with drug consumption and trafficking.

Wayne BRIDEAU, 44-years-old, resident of New Brunswick, was charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, CDSA 5(2)

Jessica WILSON, 40-years-old, resident of Hanover, was charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, CDSA 5(2)

A 16-year-old resident of Hanover, was charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, CDSA 5(2) – two counts
  • Fail to comply with undertaking, CC 145(4)(a)

Mitchell GRAVEL Was Arrested

(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) – On May 14, 2025, at approximately 8:22 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a motor vehicle collision along Bruce Road 10, Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.

On arrival, officers observed a single motor vehicle had left the roadway and rolled. The investigating officer detected signs of impairment from the involved driver. 

Mitchell GRAVEL, 24-years-old, of Orangeville was charged with:

  • Dangerous Operation, CC 320.13(1)
  • Refusal to comply with demand, CC 320.15(1)

The accused is set to appear in the Walkerton Court of Justice on June 25, 2025.

Drowning In Paisley

(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) – One person has died following a drowning incident that occurred on the Saugeen River in Paisley.

On May 12, 2025, at 1:31 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Bruce County Paramedic Services and the Arran-Elderslie Fire & Emergency Services responded to a report of an individual in distress in the Saugeen River.

The individual was brought to the shore by members of the public and lifesaving measures commenced.

A 25-year-old from Georgetown was pronounced deceased. The victim’s identity will not be released due to privacy of the family.
