Gurpreet Singh DHALIWAL – Vehicle Theft

(ORILLIA, ON) – On Sunday July 28, 2024, the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) made an arrest in relation to a theft of a vehicle in the City of Orillia.

On July 28, 2024, at approximately 12:00 pm Orillia OPP members were dispatched to a Murphy Rd business after reports of an unlocked motor vehicle being stolen.

Police attended the area within minutes after receiving the call and patrolled the area in efforts to locate the stolen vehicle. Shortly after police received information that a black pick-up truck was located on Highway 11 S/B and Line 15, police attended and confirmed it was the stolen vehicle in question. The suspect was not with the vehicle.

With assistance from Central Region Canine (K9), Emergency Response Team (ERT) the male suspect within the immediate area of the stolen vehicle.

Police arrested and charged 39 year old Gurpreet Singh DHALIWAL of Brampton with:

•           Theft of Motor Vehicle Contrary to Section 333.1 of the Criminal Code.

•           Adult Obstruct Peace Officer Contrary to Section 129(a) of the Criminal Code

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.

David RAYNER – Hit & Run Causing Bodily Harm

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The driver of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run collision with a cyclist in Long Point has been taken into custody.

At approximately 8:57 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024, officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment, along with Norfolk County Paramedic Services and the Norfolk County Fire Department, responded to a collision between a motor vehicle and a cyclist on Erie Boulevard in Long Point, Norfolk County.

It was determined that the cyclist was travelling along Erie Boulevard when they were struck by a motor vehicle, believed to be a newer model black sedan, which fled the scene. The cyclist sustained serious life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital before being transferred to a trauma centre for further treatment.

Later, the involved vehicle, identified as a black 2020 Hyundai Elantra sedan, was located by the Hamilton Police Service in the City of Hamilton. The driver was subsequently taken into custody without incident.

Charged with the following alleged offences 19-year-old David RAYNER of Dundas, Ontario:

  • Dangerous operation causing bodily harm,
  • Fail to stop at accident resulting in bodily harm.

The accused was held in custody to appear at a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe.

Repeat Offender Joshua HANNON Restrained By Public Until Police Arrive

(GEORGIAN BAY TOWNSHIP, ON)  A group of concerned citizens detained an impaired driver, who failed to stop after several collisions, on Highway 400 on Friday evening.

On July 26, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. the Provincial Communication Centre of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) began receiving calls reporting that a small brown SUV was driving in a dangerous fashion and had caused several collisions with other vehicles while travelling northbound on Highway 400 in Georgian Bay Township.

The suspect eventually pulled the heavily damaged vehicle to the side of the highway near the off-ramp of White’s Falls Road and the driver, who appeared intoxicated,  exited the vehicle and was stopping traffic.  Concerned citizens, who had stopped their vehicles, exited and physically detained the suspect to prevent him from harming himself or others.  Police arrived on scene to find a group of people holding the driver to the ground.  During the incident, an assisting motorist was assaulted by the suspect using a tire wrench.

Police arrested the driver and transported to detachment, however the accused refused to provide a breath sample. During the investigation, the accused also assaulted and threatened a police officer. 

Further investigation revealed that the accused did not have consent to be operating the motor vehicle being driven.  In addition, the accused was bound by a probation order at the time of the incident.

As a result of this investigation,  Joshua HANNON, 29 years of Tay Township, faces the following charges contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada:

  • Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle
  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
  • Refuse to Comply with Breath Demand
  • Take Motor Vehicle without Consent
  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Utter Threat to Cause Death x 2
  • Assault Peace Officer
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused was held for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice on July 29, 2024.  When charged with impaired driving, the driver’s licence of the accused is suspended for 90 days and the vehicle they were operating is impounded for 7 days.

Restaurant Faces Threats Over F*ck Paul Heffer Flags

(Wingham, ON) Current North Huron Reeve Paul Heffer openly threatened the Public at a recent meeting by stating he would be using the by-law enforcement to trespass and seize private property, then banned all comments and questions at council meetings. Shut up & stay home is the strong and clear message from North Huron council. 

Buck & Jo’s, a  restaurant in the heart of Wingham, has resorted to flying a F*ck Paul Heffer flag during business hours. “If Paul Heffer wants the flags down, he can come in and ask for himself, if he doesn’t ask, then the flags stay”.

Response has been swift from a herd of Heffers going to the restaurant and threatening and demanding the flag come down immediately, or else. The restaurant is now flying 2 Heffer flags in response.

Bullying and harassment at its worst, it seems it runs in the Heffer family. A large woman came in stating she was a Heffer, garnering giggles from customers, as they heard “heifer” a young female cow that has not borne a calf.   

Many believe cow-ardly Heffer sent in these semi-articulate people to fight his battle from him, as he lacks the courage to ask or answer a question himself.

Colin FRANDSEN Was Arrested

(MIDLAND, ON) – As a result of an ongoing police investigation, members of the OPP Community Street Crime Unit from Southern Georgian Bay, Huronia West and Collingwood Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police executed a search warrant at a Queen Street, Midland residence at approximately 5:30 a.m. July 26, 2024.

Officers seized a quantity of a drug like substance believed to be cocaine along with Canadian currency, a replica air pistol and drug paraphernalia. See attached photograph.

Investigators have arrested and charged Colin FRANDSEN, 27 years of Midland with the following criminal charges.

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 – in Canada

The accused was released from custody to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on September 5, 2024..

Lori CHABOYER – Drunk Driving

(THUNDER BAY, ON) – On July 26th, 2024 at approximately 10:00 p.m., officers from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program along Highway 591 near Island Lake Road, outside the City of Thunder Bay.

Through the R.I.D.E. program, it was determined that one of the driver’s had been consuming alcoholic beverages, was placed under arrest & returned to the detachment for further tests.

As a result of the investigation, Lori CHABOYER, 63-years-old, of Thunder Bay, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus);
  • Operation while impaired – Alcohol and drugs;
  • Dangerous operation;
  • Novice driver – B.A.C. (Blood Alcohol Concentration) above zero;
  • Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor;

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on September 4th, 2024.

James KEMMETT – Impaired Driving

(DUFFERIN COUNTY) – The Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a male driver after conducting a traffic stop.

On July 24, 2025, just after midnight, officers from the Dufferin County OPP were on patrol in the area of Highway 10 and First Street, in the Town of Mono. A motor vehicle was observed travelling at a high rate of speed and was subsequently stopped. During a brief interaction police were led to a impaired driving investigation which resulted in the arrest of a 35-year-old male.

As a result, James KEMMETT a 35-year-old of Thornbury has been charged with:

·      Adult Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

·      Adult Speeding 1-49 Km/h over posted limit

Pervert Alert: Jeremy BERNIER Facing Numerous Charges

(SOUTH PORCUPINE, ON) – One person was arrested on 19 outstanding criminal charges after warrant was executed.

On July 25, 2024, at approximately 11:00 a.m., the North East Region (NER) Bail Support Team of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the support of the South Porcupine OPP and Timmins Police, executed a warrant on Main Street in South Porcupine.

Jeremy BERNIER, 19 years of age from South Porcupine, was arrested and charged with:

·        Sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age (three counts)

·        Sexual interference

·        Invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age

·        Forcible confinement

·        Assault

·        Failure to comply with undertaking (eight counts)

·        Failure to attend court

·        Failure to attend court after having appeared (two counts)

·        Failure to attend for fingerprints

The accused was transported to the Kapuskasing OPP detachment, as all offences occurred in Kapuskasing, between September 2020 and March 2023.

The accused was released from bail court on July 26, and is next scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kapuskasing on August 12, 2024.

Meaford Murder Update: Second Person Charged

(MEAFORD, ON) – A second person has been charged in connection with an ongoing homicide investigation in Meaford.

On May 3, 2020, at approximately 4:00 p.m., the Grey Bruce Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a missing person report for 25-year-old Emerson SPRUNG, who was last seen leaving his family residence in Meaford. His remains were located on May 6, 2020.

On July 25, 2024, as a result of the ongoing investigation by the Grey Bruce OPP Crime Unit under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, a second person was charged.

Laurel CAMPBELL, age 32 of Meaford, has been arrested and charged with accessory after the fact to murder, contrary to section 240 of the Criminal Code.

The accused has been held for a bail hearing and was released. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on September 19, 2024.

Bradley KLAVER Was Arrested

(LAMBTON SHORES, ON) – A traffic stop for speeding led to one individual being arrested and charged.

On July 23, 2024, just before 8:30 p.m., a member of Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Lakeshore Road, Municipality of Lambton Shores.

As a result of the investigation, Bradley KLAVER, 40-year-old of London, was charged with the following:

  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on August 27, 2024, in the City of Sarnia to speak to the charges.

The safety of our community is paramount, and we will continue to enforce impaired driving laws to keep our roads safe. “Traffic Safety is Everyone’s Responsibility”.

Hayden GAGNON – Drunk Driving

(KAPUSKASING, ON) – A traffic stop in Kapuskasing for excessive smoke, led to the driver being charged for impaired driving.

On July 19, 2024, at approximately 2:30 a.m., the James Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop in a parking lot on Riverside Drive in Kapuskasing, on a pickup truck that was generating a large amount of black exhaust smoke.

Upon speaking with the driver, police determined that they had been consuming an alcoholic beverage. The driver was arrested and transported to the Kapuskasing detachment for further testing. 

As a result of the investigation, Hayden GAGNON, 21 years of age of Smooth Rock Falls, was charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·        Having care or control of a motor vehicle with open container of liquor

·        Unreasonable smoke

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on September 9, 2024, in Kapuskasing. The accused was also issued an additional 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

Judy BELLEFEUILLE – Drunk Driving

(SERVOS TOWNSHIP, ON) – A driver was arrested and charged with impaired driving after police conducted a traffic stop with a wrong way vehicle.

On July 25, 2024, shortly before 7:00 p.m., the Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a vehicle travelling north bound in the south bound lanes on Highway 69, Servos Township, south of Sudbury.

Police were able to safely stop the vehicle and the driver was arrested for impaired driving, then transported to the OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Judy BELLEFEUILLE, 42 years-of-age, from French River, was charged with, operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), operation while impaired – alcohol and dangerous operation.

The accused was release and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on September 4, 2024, in Sudbury.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Spousal Assault With Weapon #WaitInTheTruck

(NORTH PERTH, ON) – The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person following a recent intimate partner violence investigation in the Municipality of North Perth.

On July 24, 2024, police began an intimate partner violence investigation following a report of an assault that had occurred in Listowel that resulted in minor injuries to one person.

A 29-year-old resident of North Perth was arrested and charged with:

–      Assault – Spousal

–      Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm (two counts)

–      Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

–      Assault with a Weapon

–      Failure to Comply with Release Order – other than to attend court

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Christopher LEDUC – Impaired Driving

(ORILLIA, ON) – The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a male driver after conducting a traffic stop.

On July 25, 2024, just after 10:00 p.m., officers of the Orillia OPP were on patrol in the area of Coldwater Rd and Emily St. in the City of Orillia when a motor vehicle was observed with its high beams on approaching police. As a result, police conducted a traffic stop observing the vehicle hit the right-side curb. Through investigation and speaking with the male driver, police determined the driver was impaired and, on a suspension, not to drive for the last 21 years.

As a result, Christopher LEDUC 46-year-old, of Victoria Harbour has been charged with:

  • ·      Adult Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • ·      Adult Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • ·      Adult Poss of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine

Jacob MASSECAR – Drunk Driving, Firearm, Etc.

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual was charged following an investigation into an impaired driving incident in Simcoe.

At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2024, an officer from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment was on patrol when a vehicle near the intersection of Queen Street North and Queensway West in Simcoe, Norfolk County, drew their attention.

After stopping the vehicle and conducting a roadside sobriety test, the driver was taken into custody without incident.

During a search of the vehicle, a replica firearm was discovered and seized.

Charged with the following alleged offences is 19-year-old Jacob MASSECAR of Norfolk County:

  • Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt,
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs,
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus),
  • Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero,
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.
