Richard GRANT Was Arrested Again

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – A wanted individual was charged after being arrested in Simcoe.

At approximately 4:05 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2025, a Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was on patrol when they spotted an individual with an outstanding arrest warrant on West Street in Simcoe, Norfolk County.

After an interaction with the officer, the individual fled the area but was later found on Pond Street in Simcoe, where they were taken into custody.

During a search of the individual, officers seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, along with Canadian currency and drug-related paraphernalia.

30-year-old Richard GRANT from Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine,
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000 – in Canada,
  • Fail to comply with Probation Order.

The accused has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Monday, March 17, 2025.

Hit & Run – Robert Coad Charged

 (BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM, ON) – An individual from Hamilton is facing multiple charges stemming from a collision that occurred on Highway 401 in the Township of Blandford-Blenheim.

On March 15, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., members of the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to Highway 401 in the Township of Blandford-Blenheim for a report of a motor vehicle collision. Prior to the collision, police received a report of erratic driving behaviour regarding the same vehicle.

Officers attended and located the subject motor vehicle.

Robert Coad, 56-years-old, of the City of Hamilton, has been charged with:

 ·      Dangerous Operation

·      Failure to Comply with Release Order (Other than to attend court)

Additionally, the accused was charged with: Fail to Remain, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

There were no reported injuries because of this incident.

The accused was held for a bail hearing and has since been remanded into custody.

Paul BECK – Drunk Driving

(CENTRE WELLINGTON TWP, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrest a St. Clements resident for impaired driving, after conducting a traffic stop.

On March 15, 2025, at approximately 3:30 a.m., members of the Wellington County OPP conducted a traffic stop on Wellington Road 7 within the Township of Centre Wellington.

As a result, Paul BECK, a 62-year-old of St. Clements was charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a 14-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on March 25, 2025.

Mandi KEIR Facing Assault Charge

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual has been charged following an investigation into a dispute between neighbours in Simcoe.

At approximately 5:29 a.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2025, officers from Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance on Norfolk Street South in Simcoe, Norfolk County.

It was determined that an interaction between neighbours resulted in the victim being physically assaulted and sustaining minor injuries.

As a result, one individual was taken into custody without incident.

24-year-old Mandi KEIR from Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offence:

  • Assault.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.

Stuck Snowplow Results In Impaired Charge

(COCHRANE, ON) – A report of a snowplow stuck in a ditch east of Cochrane led to the arrest of a driver for impaired operation.

On March 11, 2025, at approximately 3:00 a.m., the James Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a snowplow stuck in the westbound ditch, facing eastbound on Highway 652 in Kennedy Township, approximately 10 km east of Cochrane.

Officers determined the driver had consumed alcohol. The individual was arrested and taken to the Timmins Police Service for further testing.

As a result, Bradley MINOGUE, 50-years-of-age from Cochrane has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on April 15, 2025, in Cochrane. Additionally, they received a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Alfa Boubacar BAH Was Arrested

(SOUTH GLENGARRY TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SD&G) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has now laid charges in connection with an incident in which the province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) invoked its mandate.

On Thursday, March 13, 2025, shortly after 10:30 a.m., officers from SD&G OPP were alerted to a stolen vehicle travelling eastbound on Highway 401, near Cornwall. During the incident, the vehicle exited at 4th Line Road, entered a ditch and rolled. The driver was taken into custody and transported to hospital. The individual has since been released from hospital but remains in police custody.

As a result of the investigation, Alfa Boubacar BAH, age 18 of Longueuil, Quebec, has been charged with:

  • Dangerous operation of a vehicle
  • Flight from a peace officer
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Trafficking in stolen goods over $5,000

The accused is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on Monday, March 17, 2025.

26 Year Old From Milbank Arrested

(PERTH EAST, ON) – Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual with 11 criminal offences following a traffic stop in the Township of Perth East.

On March 16th, 2025, police responded to a report threats involving a firearm. Police arrived on scene and took one person into custody without incident.

26-year-old Jacobo HIEBERT of Milbank was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Operation while impaired
  • Operation while impaired (80 plus)
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
  • Two counts – Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Two counts – Uttering threats
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
  • Carless use of firearm
  • Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing on March 17th, 2025, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford.

Karol SJOLUND – Impaired Driving

(CARLETON PLACE, ON) – – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an Ottawa resident with impaired driving.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 7, east of McNeeley Avenue in Carleton Place, on Friday, March 14, 2025, just after 6:45 p.m., following receiving complaints of poor driving in the area.

The officer, while conducting a traffic investigation, arrested the driver and transported the individual to the Carleton Place Detachment for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Karol SJOLUND age 65, of Ottawa, has been charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Drive with open container of cannabis

·      Drive with cannabis readily available to driver

·      Drive with open liquor

·      Drive with liquor readily available to the driver

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 14, 2025. The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension), and vehicle has been impounded for seven days.

More Impaired Drivers

(HUNTSVILLE, ON) – The Huntsville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested two drivers for separate impaired related incidents.

On March 13, 2025 at 7:59p.m., the Huntsville OPP conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 60 for a vehicle travelling in excess of 50km/h above the posted speed limit.  The investigation of this traffic offense resulted in officer suspecting the driver to have alcohol in his body. The driver subsequently failed the roadside testing, requiring further breath testing.

As a result of the investigation, Joey Runtic, 36 years old of Brampton Ontario, has been charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Stunt driving, speeding

·      Drive motor vehicle – no validation

·      Novice driver – BAC above 0

·      Drive motor vehicle – no accompanying driver

The accused’s vehicle was impounded for 14 day as a result of the stunt driving offense and he was served a 90 day administrative drivers license suspension.

The accused is set to appear in court April 15, 2025 at Ontario court of Justice in Bracebridge, Ontario,

On March 14, 2025 at 2:14 a.m., the Huntsville OPP were on patrol on King William St. when a vehicle was observed to be driving erratically. A traffic stop was conducted and officers determine the female driver to be intoxicated.

As a result of the investigation, Amy Norris, 25 years old of Huntsville Ontario, has been charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on April 15 , 2025.

The accused’s vehicle was impounded for 7 days and they received a 90 Administrative Driver’s license Suspension.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR IMPAIRED DRIVING.

Both of these events could have easily been avoided had the drivers planned ahead before consuming alcohol or drugs. Don’t include drinking in any plans to drive. Instead, arrange for a designated driver, take a taxi or public transit, or come up with another option that takes driving out of the picture altogether.

Sujal SHARMA Arrested For Fraud

(TEMISKAMING SHORES, ON) – One person has been arrested and charged after an investigation where a local victim was defrauded.

On February 25, 2025, members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were advised of a fraud where the victim, from Temiskaming Shores, had been the target of online and in person scams. OPP began an in-depth investigation determining an estimated loss of approximately $74000.

On March 11, 2025, Temiskaming OPP with the assistance of the Temiskaming Crime Unit, the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the Provincial Operational Intelligence Bureau (POIB), police arrested and charged one person. 

Sujal SHARMA, 21 years-of-age of Huntsville Ontario, was charged with:

  • Fraud over $5000 

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury, on April 8, 2025.

Fatal Snowmobile Collision

(MAECK TOWNSHIP, ON)- A person is deceased after a collision involving a Motorized Snow Vehicle (MSV) on Marisea Lake.

On March 15, 2025, approximately 6:30 p.m., the East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Algoma Paramedics Service responded to a single MSV collision on Marisea Lake approximately 120 kilometers north of Thessalon.

A 58-year-old from Blind River was transported to a hospital in Thessalon, where they later succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased.

A postmortem will be taking place in Sault Ste Marie at a later date.

Kevin GOODINGS Wanted For Murder

(LEAMINGTON, ON) – An arrest warrant has been issued in connection with a recent homicide in the Municipality of Leamington.

On March 12, 2025, shortly after 2:30 p.m., members of the Essex County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services responded to a well-being check at a residence on Sherk Street, where 83-year-old Anita GOODINGS, of Leamington, was found deceased.

As a result of the investigation, an arrest warrant has been issued for Kevin GOODINGS, 61 years old of no fixed address, who is wanted for second degree murder. He is believed to be dangerous and a risk to public safety. If seen, call 9-1-1 and do not approach.

Kevin GOODINGS is described as a white male, approximately 5’11” (180 cm) and 180 lbs (82 kg) with a medium build, green eyes, white hair, white goatee and several tattoos: Ying yang on right forearm, panther on left forearm, Chinese writing on neck, and lightning bolt on right hand.

The investigation is continuing by the Essex County OPP Crime Unit under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, with assistance from the OPP Forensic Identification Services and the OPP Emergency Response Team, and in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.

(EAST ZORRA – TAVISTOCK, ON) – An individual from Woodstock is facing impaired driving-related charges after being observed by an officer on proactive patrol.

On March 14, 2025, at approximately 8:30 p.m., a member of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment was on general patrol in the area of Highway 2 and 11th line in the Township of East Zorra – Tavistock, where a vehicle was stopped for swerving into oncoming lanes.

Baljit Goraya, 49-years-old, of the City of Woodstock, has been charged with:  

·      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol

·      Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)

Ditching E-Bike Results In An Impaired Charge

(NORWICH, ON) – An individual from Tillsonburg is facing impaired driving-related charges stemming from an incident where an e-bike had gone into the ditch.

On March 13, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., members of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were on dispatched to Oxford Road 13 in the Town of Norwich for a report of an e-bike that had entered the ditch.  

Officers attended and spoke to the driver of the e-bike.

Mark Deknibber, 65-years-old, of the Town of Tillsonburg, has been charged with:  

·      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol

·      Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)

There were no reported injuries because of this collision.

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on April 22, 2025.

Anthony ALEXANDER – Drunk Driving

(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON) – A single motor vehicle collision has resulted in impaired driving charges for one Larder Lake resident.

On February 23,2025, at approximately 12:20 a.m. the Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Duncan Avenue at the intersection of Government Road. The subject motor vehicle was located off the roadway lodged on top of a snowbank. Upon speaking with the driver officers determined the individual had consumed an alcoholic beverage. The driver was arrested and transported to the Iroquois Falls OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Anthony ALEXANDER, a 28-year-old from Larder Lake, has been charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus

·      Operation while impaired by alcohol.

The accused was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake on March 20, 2025.

Drivers are reminded that no amount of alcohol or drugs in your system is safe when driving. Whether you are impaired by alcohol or drugs, impaired is impaired and driving under the influence of either is a criminal offence. If you suspect that someone is driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs, it is important to call 9-1-1 to report it.
