Vikrant JASWAL Arrested Following Collision

(CALEDON, ON) – Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual involved in a collision with numerous offences.

On June 15, 2025, just before 7:00 a.m., officers responded to a report of a collision involving two vehicles on Mayfield Road, at The Gore Road, in the Town of Caledon. During the course of the investigation, officers formed grounds that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.

As a result, Vikrant JASWAL, 30, of Bolton, was charged with:

  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Possession of a Schedule III substance

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on July 7, 2025, to answer to the charges. Additionally, the driver’s vehicle was impounded for a period of seven days, and their driver’s licence suspended for a period of 90 days.

2 BEARSS Arrested Following Collsion Involving Children

(DUFFERIN COUNTY) – Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Melancthon resident with impaired driving-related offences following a collision involving a utility vehicle that was carrying three children.

On June 16, 2025, shortly before 8:30 p.m., Dufferin OPP officers responded to a 911 call reporting a motor vehicle collision involving a utility vehicle in the area of 270 Sideroad in the Township of Melancthon. Upon arrival, officers and emergency crews located all involved parties and assessed them for injuries.

During their interaction with the male driver, officers observed signs of impairment and subsequently initiated an impaired driving investigation.

Evan BEARSS, a 38-year-old male, from Melancthon Township has been charged with:

•      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

•      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

Karolina BEARSS, a 39-year-old female, from Melancthon Township has been charged with:

•      Obstruct Peace Officer

The accused individual is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their driver’s licence was suspended, and their vehicle impounded.

19 Year Old Arrested After Ramming Vehicles

(NEW TECUMSETH, ON) – Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid multiple charges against two individuals following a serious altercation in a Tottenham parking lot.

On June 18, 2025, shortly after 12:00 p.m., officers responded to reports of a disturbance in a business parking lot on Queen Street North. Upon arrival, police observed a large group of students gathered at the scene and noted several damaged vehicles.

An investigation, supported by video surveillance, revealed that an altercation had occurred involving three vehicles: an Acura, an Audi, and a Volkswagen. The incident escalated when the driver of a blue Acura intentionally struck the passenger side of a black Audi, injuring an occupant who was later transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.

The Acura then continued to drive recklessly through the parking lot, striking a second vehicle with an occupant inside before fleeing the scene.

The suspect vehicle was later located in Alliston, where officers found the accused walking alongside it. During the arrest, a 16-year-old individual fled the scene in the Acura but later turned himself in to police.

As a result of the investigation, the following individuals have been charged:

Matthew ZADRAN, 19, of Alliston:

  • Dangerous Operation
  • Failure to Stop After Accident
  • Assault with a Weapon – Two counts

A 16-year-old youth from Bradford (name withheld under the Youth Criminal Justice Act):

  • Dangerous Operation
  • Flight from Peace Officer
  • Failure to Stop After Accident
  • Assault with a Weapon – Two counts

The accused individuals have been held for a bail hearing and the investigation is ongoing.

Missing Person Found Deceased

(LEAMINGTON, ON)- On June 13, 2025, members of the Leamington OPP received a report that Vanessa, 32-years-of-age, is missing from the Municipality of Leamington.

On June 17, 2025, the missing person was located deceased in the 100 block of Erie Street South in the Municipality of Leamington. 

The investigation remains under investigation in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner. 

Police are advising there is no threat to public safety. 

The OPP would like to thank the public and media for their assistance during this investigation.

57 Year Old From Goderich Arrested – Details Relased

(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Goderich resident with a criminal driving offence following a traffic stop in the Town of Goderich on May 28th, 2025. 

On Wednesday, May 28th, 2025, Huron County OPP officers were at a location on Cambria Road in Goderich when they were notified by a concerned citizen of a possible impaired driver. Officers conducted a traffic stop and spoke to the vehicle driver, who was subsequently arrested for impaired operation. The driver was transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment to conduct testing before a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) trained officer. As a result, the accused was charged as follows:

Hiroshi NODA, 57 years-of-age from Goderich has been charged with:

–      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs.

The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days. The accused driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing, then later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for July 7th, 2025, at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Bradley WALSH Was Arrested

(BANCROFT, ON) – Members of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person with refusal to comply with demand.

On Monday, June 16, 2025, just after 11:30 p.m., Bancroft OPP officers were conducting traffic patrol on Highway 62 North in Hastings Highlands. Officers observed a vehicle with safety concerns and subsequently stopped the vehicle. An Approved Screening Device was used during the stop, as a result the driver was transported to the detachment for further testing.

Bradley WALSH, a 23-year-old resident of Killaloe, has been charged with refusal to comply with a demand.

The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle impounded for seven days. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on July 8, 2025.

James CARROL – Was Arrested Again

(BANCROFT, ON) – Members of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged the driver of an ATV with impaired in the Town of Bancroft.

On Sunday, June 15, 2025, just after 6:00 p.m., Bancroft OPP officers were responding to a disturbance in the area of Woodview Lane. While officers were investigating the disturbance an approved screening device was utilized, and as a result, the accused was transported to the detachment for testing.

James CARROL, a 23-year-old resident of Bancroft, has been charged with the following:

–      Assault with a weapon

–      Failure to comply with a release order

–      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

–      Operation while impaired – alcohol

The accused was held for bail and released by the courts. CARROL is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on June 24, 2025.

$4 Million “Drug” Bust

(BOBCAYGEON, ON) – More than $4 million in illegal cannabis plants, clones and processed cannabis bud seized and three people charged following a Cannabis Act (CA) investigation.

On Wednesday, June 11, 2025, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Provincial Joint Forces Cannabis Enforcement Team (PJFCET) responded to a location in Bobcaygeon, following a referral from Health Canada regarding cannabis being grown in contravention of the issued registrations. Assistance was provided by the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP and OPP Community Street Crime Unit members in Peterborough/Northumberland and the City of Kawartha Lakes.

Investigators located and seized approximately 3,750 illegal cannabis plants, 12,500 cannabis clones, as well as approximately 430 pounds of dried, processed cannabis.

As a result of the investigation, three individuals were each charged with cultivating cannabis without authorization, contrary to s. 12(6)(a) of the CA:

  • Xiao DONG, age 50 of Markham
  • Qiaoli GUAN, age 49 of Calgary, Alta.
  • Mei HUANG, age 55 of Markham

The accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on July 10, 2025.

The investigation is ongoing.

19 Year Old Facing Impaired Charge

(TOWNSHIP OF CRAMAHE, ON) – The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual with impaired operation following a single-vehicle collision.

On June 19, 2025, shortly before 3:00 a.m., police responded to a report of a collision on Trent Valley Drive. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the Township of Cramahe Fire Department also attended the scene.

The vehicle was located on its roof and off the roadway. Officers initiated an impaired driving investigation. The sole occupant was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result, Owen TURNER (19) from the Municipality of Brighton has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in July.

In addition to the court date, a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment were initiated under statute.

The Northumberland OPP would like to remind the public that failing to provide a suitable sample of breath or blood upon an officers demand, carries the same consequences as ‘Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs’, and ‘Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)’.

If you know or suspect that a driver is impaired by alcohol or drugs, call 9-1-1. In doing so, you may save a life. Whether you are impaired by alcohol or drugs, impaired is impaired and driving under the influence of either is a criminal offence. If you plan on drinking or consuming drugs, plan to not drive. Instead, arrange for a designated driver, take a taxi or public transit, or come up with another plan that takes impaired driving out of the picture.

Shane PETTINGILL – Impaired Operation

(LONDON, ON) – Driver facing Impaired driving charge after traffic stop.

On June 17, 2025, at 11:43 p.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while travelling on Veterans Memorial Parkway in the City of London, performed a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP Detachment.

As a result, Shane PETTINGILL, a 55-year-old of Prince Edward County, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Operation while impaired – Alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on August 6, 2025.

Brady BOWEN – Drunk Driving

(GREATER NAPANEE, ON) – Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person following a complaint in a parking lot.

On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, shortly before 5:00 p.m., L&A County OPP members attended the parking lot of a Greater Napanee business after a member of the public observed the driver pouring alcohol into a cup. Police located the vehicle and the driver was arrested. Breath testing at the detachment showed alcohol levels that were nearly four times the legal limit.

Brady BOWEN, a 35-year-old from Greater Napanee, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on July 8, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded.

38 Year Old From Kincardine Arrested

(KINCARDINE, ON) – On June 18, 2025, at approximately 1:53 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a possible impaired driver along Adelaide Street, Municipality of Kincardine.

Police patrolled through town and located the vehicle in the area of McGaw Drive and Skye Court. While speaking with the driver, the investigating officer detected signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and transported for further testing.

Andrew SHELTON, 38-years-old, resident of Kincardine, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired, CC 320.14(1)(a)

The accused is set to appear on July 16, 2025, at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice to answer to the charge.

(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) – A Glencoe resident has been charged after reports of a disturbance.

On June 17, 2025, at 8:15 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to an address on McKellar Street in Glencoe, Municipality of Southwest Middlesex, for the report of a disturbance.  

Investigation revealed an individual had been assaulted during the altercation.

As a result, Declyn LAFRAMBOISE, a 26-year-old of Glencoe, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Assault with A Weapon

·      Assault

·      Mischief Under $ 5,000

The accused was held for bail.

Drug & Weapons Bust – Names Released

(MIDLAND, ON) – As a result of an ongoing police investigation, an arrest has been made along with a significant seizure of drugs and Canadian currency after members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed search warrants simultaneously at a Penetanguishene residence and a Midland retail store at approximately 9:30 a.m. June 18, 2025

Officers from the OPP Community Street Crime Units (CSCU) from the Southern Georgian Bay, Muskoka, Huronia West and Collingwood Detachments along with members of the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) and Canine Unit (K-9) and detachment uniform members executed search warrants at a Gignac Drive, Penetanguishene and Midland Avenue, Midland locations resulting in the arrest of 34 year old Tajuddin SHAHABUDDIN of Penetanguishene and the seizure of the following items.

  • ·Significant amounts of Crystal Methamphetamine, Cocaine (powder), Crack Cocaine, Codeine pills, Dilaudid (Morphine) pills, Lorazepam pills, Oxycodone pills
  • Brass knuckles, 100 rounds 9mm ammunition
  • Approximately $47,000 of Canadian currency
  • Drug paraphernalia of Digital Scales, Vacuum Sealer and rolls of bags

The accused has been charged and held for a bail hearing and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice  at a future date on the following charges.

  • Possession Schedule 1 Substance for Purpose of Trafficking – Crystal Methamphetamine
  • Possession Schedule 1 Substance for Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

Drug Bust – 2 Arrested

(PETROLIA, ON) – Two individuals are facing charges following a single-vehicle collision.

On June 14, 2025, at approximately 12:30 a.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single-vehicle collision on Petrolia Line, Petrolia, where the involved vehicle fled the scene immediately following the collision.

A short time later, officers located the described vehicle in the ditch at the intersection of Petrolia Line and Plowing Match Road. The vehicle was found unoccupied.

The West Region OPP Canine Unit was deployed and successfully tracked and located two individuals nearby, who were identified as the vehicle’s occupants.

Both individuals were transported to hospital with minor injuries.

Rhys BRESETT, 43-years-old of Sarnia and Kevin PLAIN, 58-years-old of no fixed address, have been charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid.

The accused have been released from police custody and are schedule to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Sarnia, on August 13, 2025.
