Hwy 11 Fatal Collision Closed Road

(GREENSTONE, ON) – The Greenstone Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a Highway 11 collision that resulted in one death and closed the highway for several hours.

On Friday, September 26, 2025, at approximately 7:11 p.m., OPP officers responded to multiple calls about a collision involving a tractor-trailer and an SUV. The driver of the SUV, a 28-year-old female from Longlac and the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Highway 11, between Longlac and Beardmore, was closed for the investigation and reopened the following day shortly after 11:00 a.m.

While the investigation remains ongoing, there has been no evidence obtained to date that would support charges.

Police Investigating Mysterious Death – Don’t Panic

(BOBCAYGEON, ON) – The City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a death in Bobcaygeon.

Officers were called to a local park on Mansfield Street, Bobcaygeon, shortly before 9:18 p.m., on Saturday, September 27, 2025, where one person was located deceased.

While the cause of death cannot yet be confirmed, investigators believe there is no imminent threat to public safety, although the OPP reminds all members of the public to be aware of their personal safety at all times.

The investigation is being conducted by members of the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).

The investigation is in its early stages, and no further details can be released at this time. Residents of the area should expect to see an increased police presence.

22 Year Old Facing Drunk Driving Charge

(TINY TOWNSHIP, ON) – Driving while impaired just never ends well and on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at approximately 9:31 p.m. those words rang true as officers from the Southern Georgian Bay OPP Detachment responded to a report of an single vehicle crash which was south bound on Highway 93 at the time near Preston Road, Tiny Township.

The vehicle entered the ditch causing serious injuries to the lone driver who was triaged by attending Tiny Township Fire Services and Simcoe County Paramedics and was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.

Attending OPP officers entered into an impaired driving investigation upon arrival and have completed their investigation with the following criminal charges being issued to Ethan MARCOTTE 22 years of Barrie.

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol

And Further under the Provincial Offences Act

  • Drive Motor Vehicle Without Insurance

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on October 9, 2025. His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and the involved vehicle was impounded for 7 days under ADLS guidelines.

8 Year Old Dies In ATV Collision

(PLUMMER ADDITIONAL TOWNSHIP, ON)- Youth succumbs to injuries following collision.

On September 26, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Algoma Paramedic Services responded to a collision involving two All Terrain Vehicles (ATV) in a field on Cloudslee Road in Plummer Additional Township.

Two ATV’s collided and an eight-year-old was ejected. The youth was transported to hospital in Thessalon and later pronounced deceased.

The OPP’s Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team is assisting with this ongoing investigation.

A postmortem is scheduled to take place in Sudbury at a later date.

Katlyn Pearce Facing Numerous Charges

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – Members from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an impaired driving investigation after receiving a traffic complaint.

On Thursday September 25, 2025 at approximately 10:11 pm, officers were notified of a possible impaired driver from a concerned citizen. Officers located the motor vehicle and began an impaired driving investigation. The driver was charged with Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act, Liquor License Act and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act offences.

Katlyn Pearce, 37-year-old of Fenelon Falls, was charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80
  • Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
  • Having Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor
  • Fail to Notify of Change of Address
  • Fail to Surrender Insurance Card

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The drivers license was suspended for 90 days and the motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

29 Year Old From Walkerton Arrested – Details Released, Not Him #3Strikes

(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) – On September 26, 2025, at approximately 9:15 a.m., a member of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped to check a vehicle along the Grey-Bruce Line in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.

Upon seeing the police cruiser, the driver switched positions with the passenger in the vehicle; a poor attempt to confuse police. The investigating officer discovered that the driver was violating conditions of a prior release, and their licence was suspended.

Brett DUNSBIER, 29-years-old, resident of Walkerton, has been charged with:

  • Failure to comply with release order, CC 145(5)(a)
  • Driving while under suspension, HTA 53(1)

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Austin JOSTEN Was Arrested

(MALAHIDE, ON) – Elgin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual with dangerous and impaired operation.

On Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at approximately 5:20 p.m., police responded to a report of a motorist driving erratically in the Township of Malahide.

As a result of the investigation, Austin JOSTEN, a 21-year-old from St. Thomas was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Dangerous operation

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released on an Undertaking and scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

Prohibited Driver Caught Speeding #Dipshit

(CHATHAM KENT, ON) – Elgin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual with Driving While Prohibited on Highway 401.

On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at approximately 8:37 p.m., police stopped a motor vehicle for speeding on Highway 401 in the Municipality of Chatham Kent.

As a result of the investigation, Michael OLSEN a 28-year-old from Windsor was charged under the Criminal Code with Operation While Prohibited and Speeding contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

A 45-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released on an Undertaking and scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Chatham on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.

Child Sexually Assaulted & Almost Murdered – 26 Year Old Arrested

(RIDEAU LAKES, ON) – Members of the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged an individual with serious offences, including attempt to commit murder on a child.

On Friday, September 26, 2025, shortly before 9:00 a.m., members of the Leeds County OPP, assisted by the Leeds County OPP Crime Unit, began an intimate partner violence and child abuse investigation.

As a result of the investigation, a 26-year-old was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Attempt to commit murder
  • Sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age cause bodily harm
  • Sexual interference
  • Forcible confinement – two counts
  • Assault with a weapon – two counts
  • Assault cause bodily harm – choke, suffocate or strangle – two counts
  • Assault – two counts
  • Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm – two counts
  • Intimidation – use or threatens use of violence

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville at a later date.

Brockton Bust – 117g Fentanyl Seized In Walkerton #WaitInTheTruck

(BROCKTON, ON) – On September 25, 2025, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a matter involving intimate partners in the Municipality of Brockton.

Investigation determined that a physical altercation took place between two individuals in a wooded area off of South Street in Walkerton. The accused fled on foot but was taken into custody nearby. A search of the individual led to the discovery of approximately 117g of suspected fentanyl.

As a result of the investigation, a 37-year-old of no fixed address has been charged with:

  • Assault, CC 266
  • Assault with a weapon, CC 267(a)
  • Assault cause bodily harm – choking, CC 267(c)
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, CDSA 5(2)

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.

OPP Raid Nets 6 Firearms (1 Full Auto), $30K Cash – Gurpreet GILL Charged

In May 2025, members assigned to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit (PWEU) initiated an intelligence-led investigation into the alleged trafficking of firearms and prohibited devices in Ontario, with support from Peel Regional Police and London Police Service.

On Thursday, September 11, 2025, an individual was arrested in Mississauga by the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit. A search warrant was executed by PWEU at a residence in Mississauga and on one vehicle.

As a result, the following items were seized:

  • Six firearms, including one equipped with a selector switch making it fully automatic
  • Semi-automatic rifle
  • More than $30,000 in Canadian currency
  • Cell phones

Gurpreet GILL, age 28 of Mississauga, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Trafficking firearms, weapon, device or ammunition, s. 99 CC – six counts
  • Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order, s. 117.01(1) CC – seven counts
  • Possession of prohibited device or ammunition, s. 92(2) CC – three counts
  • Possession of prohibited firearm with ammunition, s. 95(1) – four counts
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, s. 92(1) – five counts
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, s. 345(1)(a) – two counts

The accused was remanded into custody and subsequently released. He is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Toronto on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.

Huron-Kinloss Resident Arrrested After Hwy 21 Incident

(HURON-KINLOSS, ON) – On September 25, 2025, at approximately 5:41 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision at Highway 21 and Concession 10 in the Township of Huron-Kinloss.

Police attended and discovered a single vehicle to be involved. The lone occupant was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries. While officers were assessing the involved vehicle for damages, police observed a variety of weapons in plain view. A search of the vehicle was conducted which resulted in locating several batons, brass knuckles, pepper spray, handcuffs, and ammunition.

Robert MCKAY, 56-years-old, resident of Huron-Kinloss, has been charged with:

  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon, CC 91(2) – 7 counts
  • Failure to comply with undertaking, CC 145(4)(a)

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.

MIDDLETON Arrested In Palmerston – Details Released

ALERT: OPP Investigating Death At Nursing Home

(WEST NIPISSING, ON) – The Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a death.

On Tuesday September 23, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m., the Nipissing West OPP, began a death investigation at a nursing home on Michaud Street, West Nipissing.

An 85-year-old person from West Nipissing was found deceased by staff members.  

This investigation is still ongoing and being conducted by the Nipissing West OPP Crime Unit, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service to determine the cause of death.

UPDATE: Student Struck While Getting On School Bus – Repeat Offender Arrested AGAIN! #3Strikes #OPP #Crime

(HARLEY TOWNSHIP, ON) – A child was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by vehicle.

On Thursday, September 25, 2025, shortly before 7:50 a.m., members of the Temiskaming Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with Temiskaming Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the Harley and Dymond Fire Departments, responded to a report of a collision involving a car and a child on Highway 569 in Harley Township.

Investigation revealed that the child was struck while crossing the roadway to board their school bus. The school bus had it’s stop-arm out and flashing lights activated at the time. The driver of the involved vehicle failed to remain at the scene of the collision.

As a result of the investigation, Ryan WRIGHT, 37 years-of-age of Hilliard Township, has been arrested and charged with:

  • Fail to stop at accident resulting in bodily harm
  • Dangerous operation causing bodily harm
  • Fail to comply with probation
  • Driving while under suspension

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Haileybury Ontario Court of Justice on September 26, 2025.

Police have not yet located the involved vehicle. It is described as a dark-coloured sedan with possible front-end damage.
