19 Year Old Repeat Offender Arrested For Assault, Threats, etc.

(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) – On June 28, 2025, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a matter involving intimate partners in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.

Investigation determined that a dispute between intimate partners led to an assault, where a handgun was brandished. The accused was taken into custody after a brief struggle with police. The handgun was seized and determined to be an imitation.

As a result of the investigation, a 19-year-old individual from Arran-Elderslie has been charged with:

  • Assault, CC 266
  • Uttering threats to cause death, CC 264.1(1)(a) – three counts
  • Fail to comply with release order, CC 145(5)(a) – two counts
  • Assault with intent to resist arrest, CC 270(1)(b)
  • Pointing a firearm, CC 87
  • Possession of imitation weapon for dangerous purpose, CC 88

The accused was held for a bail hearing and subsequently remanded into custody.

41 Year Old From Huron-Kinloss Arrested

(KINCARDINE, ON) – On June 25, 2025, at approximately 3:24 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a disturbance at a campsite along Jordan Road, Municipality of Kincardine.

Police attended and learned that a dispute had taken place between two individuals; one of which had then operated a motor vehicle. In speaking with the individual, the investigating officer detected signs of impairment. They were taken into custody and transported for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, a 41-year-old resident of Huron-Kinloss, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired, CC 320.14(1)(a)
  • Refusal to comply with demand, CC 320.15(1)
  • Uttering threats, CC 264.1(1)(a)
  • Take motor vehicle without consent, CC 335(1)

The accused is set to appear on July 16, 2025, at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice to answer to the charges.

Assault & Threats – Christopher CHURCH Arrested

(PORTLAND, ON) – An individual is facing multiple charges after a heated dispute involving threats and an assault, as well as further incidents at a local hospital.

On Saturday, May 31, 2025, shortly after 8:00 p.m., members of the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance in Portland. An officer was required to deploy their Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW, commonly referred to as a Taser) to arrest an individual at the scene. The individual was transported to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

While at the hospital, further threats were made against medical staff.

As a result of the investigation, 45-year-old Christopher CHURCH of Portland is charged with:

  • Assault
  • Mischief – destroy or damage property
  • Mischief – obstruct, interrupt or interfere
  • Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Brockville Ontario Court of Justice on June 27, 2025.

Neighbour Dispute Leads To Arrest

(IROQUOIS FALLS, ON) – A neighbour dispute leads to threats and mischief charges.

On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, the Iroquois Falls OPP responded to a neighbour dispute on Sunset Bay Road in Iroquois Falls.

As a result of the investigation, Scott MACDONALD, 53 years-old, of Iroquois Falls has been arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm – three counts
  • Mischief – obstructs, interrupts or interferes with any person in the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property – two counts

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday, June 24, 2025, in Timmins.

Social Media Threats Leads To Arrest

(ORILLIA, ON) – The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a male after online threats were made towards several parties involved in a previous assault investigation at Couchiching Park.

On May 29, 2025, Orillia OPP began an investigation after being made aware of threats made on a social media platform. Orillia OPP quickly identified a suspect, leading to an arrest.

As a result of the investigation, Kyle ERCOLINI, 39, of Oro-Medonte, has been charged with Uttering Threats – cause death or bodily harm.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia at a later date to answer to the charge.

Shawn MILLER Facing Numerous Charges

(PAPINEAU-CAMERON, ON) – A person wanted in connection with several criminal offences committed in December 2024 has been arrested by the North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Papineau-Cameron Township.

With the assistance of specialized OPP units – including the North Bay Criminal Investigation Unit, Emergency Response Team (ERT), Canine Unit, Crisis Negotiators, Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), Remotely Piloted Aerial System (RPAS), Northeast Regional Support Team, and Critical Incident Command (CIC) – officers executed a warrant and arrested the individual without incident.

Shawn MILLER, 52 years-of-age of Mattawa, is facing the following charges:

·        Pointing a firearm

·        Reckless discharge of a firearm

·        Possess firearm contrary to prohibition order – three counts

·        Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

·        Careless storage of firearm

·        Assault with a weapon – spousal

·        Assault – spousal – two counts

·        Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm – spousal

·        Uttering threats – damage or injure animal

·        Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000

·        Failure to comply with release order – two counts

·        Fail to comply with probation order – two counts

Ryan FREE Was Arrested

(MISSISSAUGA FIRST NATION, ON) – The East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police arrest and charge a person with numerous offences after a threats complaint.

On May 8, 2025, at approximately 11:45 a.m. police were called to Village Road in Mississauga First Nation pertaining to a person being threatened by a passerby. The complainant knew the male and police were familiar. Shortly after, another call was reported to police regarding a male on a four-wheeler driving in an erratic manner, tipping over at a retail store on Highway 17, Mississauga First Nation. Police viewed the video camera footage and it was the same male from the earlier threats occurrence. Police located and arrested the male at a residence on Village Road. It was also learned that there was an arrest warrant for the male for failing to attend court in relation to another drive while prohibited charge in December, 2024.   

Ryan FREE, 53-years-old, from Elliot Lake, was charged with:

  • Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm
  • Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code

The accused was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Blind River on May 9, 2025.

(PERTH, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following an investigation into a disturbance.

Lanark County OPP officers responded to an incident in Perth on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, just before 1:00 p.m., after a complaint regarding threats of violence. The investigation resulted in one person being arrested.

Joseph BUGBY, 31-years-old from Perth, has been charged with:

  • Uttering threats – three counts
  • Mischief – two counts

The accused was held for a bail hearing and was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on May 8, 2025.

Jesse NEWELL Assaut & Threats

(KENORA, ON) – Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and have arrested and charged an individual following several weapons calls in Kenora.

On April 30, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Kenora OPP were dispatched to three reports of weapons complaints in a store parking lot on Miikana Way. Police attended and located the individual, who was taken into custody.

As a result of the investigation, Jesse NEWELL, 38-years-old of Nanaimo, British Columbia has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

·        Mischief under $5,000

·        Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose – two counts

·        Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm – two counts

The accused was held for bail and remanded into custody. He is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora at a later date.

24 Year Old From Palmerston Arrested For Threats

(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – On April 23, 2025, the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of threats which took place at an address in Palmerston and entered into an intimate partner violence investigation.

As a result of the investigation, a 24-year-old of Palmerston has been charged with two counts of Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm contrary to the Criminal Code. 

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph at a later date.

Jackie MCCOLL Arrested For Threats

(TOWNSHIP OF THE NORTH SHORE, ON)- On-going neighbour dispute results in an arrest.

On Saturday April 12, 2025, at approximately 4:00 p.m., the East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a reported neighbour dispute on Wagoosh Lake Road in the Township of the North Shore (Spragge).

The investigation determined that an individual approached the complainant’s property line, began yelling at the complainant without provocation, and made a threat to burn down the complainant’s garage.

As a result, Jackie MCCOLL, 48 years-of-age from Spragge was charged with: Uttering threats-damage property.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on June 5, 2025.

Douglas KING – Threats

(MIDLAND, ON) -Officers from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a disturbance in the area of Nelson and Robert Streets, Midland at approximately 6:46 p.m. April 9, 2025.

Upon arrival an individual was located in possession of a sharp edged weapon who was also making verbal threats towards persons in the area. The suspect was arrested without injury and transported to Detachment. Awhile in custody, the accused also destroyed property belonging to the Province of Ontario in the cell area.

Charged in connection to these investigations is 35 year old Douglas KING of Midland with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Uttering Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm
  • Mischief Under $ 5,000

And Further With

  • Being intoxicated in public place contrary to the Liquor Licence and Control Act

The accused was held for bail court and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Court at a future date.

Jonathan Morgan Was Arrested

(ZORRA, ON) – An individual from Thamesford is facing charges stemming from an incident that occurred on Road 68 in the Township of Zorra.

On March 21, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m., members of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment were dispatched to Road 68 in the Township of Zorra for a report of a traffic complaint that was occurring between multiple motor vehicles.

Officers attended and located all the vehicles involved.

Jonathan Morgan, 30-years-old, of the Thamesford, has been charged with:  

·      Dangerous Operation

·      Uttering Threats – Cause death or bodily harm

There were no reported injuries because of this incident.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on April 22, 2025.

22 Year Old From Mount Forest Arrested Again – Name Released

(WELLINGTON NORTH TWP, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charges Mount Forest resident with four criminal charges.

On March 20, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP were dispatched to an address on Egremont Street South within Mount Forest involving a disturbance.

As a result of the investigation. Justin PITRE, 22-year-old of Mount Forest was charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Uttering Threats – Cause death or bodily harm
  • Uttering Threats – Damage property
  • Fail to comply with probation order (two counts)

The accused has been held in police custody, pending a bail hearing.

Warren TODD Was Arrested For Asault & Threats – Alcohol A Factor

(ORILLIA, ON) – Members of the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged one male party following a disturbance at a residence in Brechin, Ramara Township.

On March 20,2025 at approximately 9:15 p.m. officers from the Orillia Detachment of the OPP were dispatched to a disturbance in Brechin with reports that a male party was leaving a residence impaired after assaulting and threatening another individual. Shortly after officers located the vehicle and suspect on Hwy 12 near Muley Point Road. Officers quickly determined the driver was impaired placing him under arrest.

As a result, Warren TODD, 50-year-old, from Orillia has been charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drug
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
  • Assault
  • Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
  • Mischief Over $5000.00 x 2

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, to answer to the charges at a later date in April 2025. As a result of these charges, his driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and vehicle impounded for a period of 7 days.
