Satnam SINGH Was Arrested Again #RepeatOffender

(COCHRANE, ON) – A commercial motor vehicle (CMV) driver has been charged after police discovered the individual was prohibited from driving under the Criminal Code during a traffic stop south of Cochrane.

On Thursday, May 22, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the James Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 11 for a speeding violation. During the investigation, officers determined the driver was subject to three active criminal driving prohibitions. Officers also identified minor mechanical defects with the vehicle.

As a result, Satnam SINGH, 25 years-of-age from Edmonton, AB, was charged with:

·        Operation while prohibited under the criminal code – three counts

·        Speeding – 108 km/h in a posted 90 km/h zone

·        Improperly drive commercial motor vehicle with a minor defect in it – two counts

·        Fail to enter defect in daily inspection report – two counts

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on June 17, 2025, in Cochrane. The tractor portion of the vehicle was impounded for 45 days.

Indignity To Dead Body – Shannon BROOKS Arrested Again

(QUINTE WEST, ON) – Members of the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are seeking the public’s assistance in a death investigation in the City of Quinte West.

On Thursday, August 15, 2024, at approximately 10:00 a.m., officers with the Quinte West OPP, Quinte West OPP Crime Unit, OPP Forensic Identification Services, Quinte West Fire and Hastings-Quinte Paramedic Services attended a residence on Westmount Court, where a 49-year-old male from Quinte West was located deceased.

On Thursday, May 22, 2025, following a lengthy investigation, Shannon BROOKS, 36 years old of Quinte West, was arrested with the assistance of the Belleville Police Service Emergency Response Unit, and charged with the following Criminal Code (CC) offences:

  • Indignity to dead body – section 182(b)
  • Theft of credit card – section 342(1)(a)
  • Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000 – section 354(1)(a)
  • Possession of a credit card – section 342(1)(c)

In relation to separate investigations, the accused was also charged with the following CC offences:

  • Operation while prohibited – section 320.18 (1)(a)
  • Fail to comply with probation order – section 733.1(1) – three counts

The investigation continues under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.

(WEST PERTH, ON) – Police have arrested one individual following a break and enter and theft of motor vehicle in the Municipality of West Perth

On May 23, 2025, the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a residence on Perth Road 179 for a break and enter in progress where an unknown person was attempting to flee after stealing the homeowner’s vehicle.

26-year-old David KUNZLE of the Municipality of South Huron is facing the following charges under the Criminal Code:

  • Break and Enter
  • Theft of Motor Vehicle

KUNZLE is being held in custody and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date.

33 Year Old From Kincarding Arrested Again #RepeatOffender

(KINCARDINE, ON) – On May 22, 2025, at approximately 6:54 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a break and enter to a residence along Kincardine Avenue, Municipality of Kincardine.

Officers attended the area and discovered that an individual had broken into a rear door to the residence to gain entry while occupants were inside. They were placed into custody without incident.

As a result of the investigation, a 33-year-old resident of Kincardine was charged with:

  • Break, enter a dwelling house – CC 348(1)(a)
  • Fail to comply with probation order – CC 733.1(1)

The accused was held for a bail hearing and subsequently remanded into custody.

Calvin BRIFFETT Was Arrested Again #RepeatOffender #3Strikes

(CENTRAL MANITOULIN TOWNSHIP, ON) – On May 22, 2025, the Manitoulin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested a person in Mindemoya who had multiple outstanding arrest warrants.

On May 21, 2025, police were called to a motel in Mindemoya pertaining to a disturbance involving a tenant and employee. Police learned that the tenant was wanted on numerous warrants and there was information he was in possession of a gun.

The OPP’s Emergency Response Team (ERT), Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), and Canine assisted, and the person was safely arrested on the morning of May 22.

Calvin BRIFFETT, 63-years-old, of Elliot Lake was charged with:

·      Unauthorized possession of weapon

·      Failure to comply with Undertaking – two counts

·      Failure to comply with Probation Order

The accused had an arrest warrant from East Algoma OPP for three counts of failing to attend court and failing to comply with an Undertaking. In addition, there was another warrant from Manitoulin OPP for two counts of operation while prohibited. He is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Little Current on May 23, 2025.

Dakota LEWIS Was Arrested #RepeatOffender #3Strikes

(BRANT,ON) -On Thursday, May 22, 2025, at approximately 8:30 p.m., members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting patrols in the area of Cockshutt Road in the County of Brant.

Officers initiated a traffic stop with a vehicle on Old Greenfield Road. Through investigation, it was determined that the driver was prohibited from operating a motor vehicle.

As a result, Dakota LEWIS, 35 years old, was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Use plate not authorized for vehicle – Highway Traffic Act (HTA)
  • Class G1 licence holder – unaccompanied by qualified driver – HTA
  • Drive motor vehicle not equipped with ignition interlock device – HTA
  • Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code – Criminal Code of Canada

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on July 24, 2025.

Repeat Offender James Harley DEACON Arrested Again

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after traffic stop in the Town of Renfrew led to a foot chase.

On Monday, May 19, 2025, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Renfrew OPP conducted a traffic stop on Lochiel Street South. Officers identified a passenger as being wanted.  When officers attempted to make an arrest, the wanted person fled on foot. The officers were able to outrun the suspect and took the individual into custody after a physical altercation.

As a result of the investigation, James Harley DEACON, age 31 of Arnprior, was charged with:

·      Resist peace officer

·      Obstruct peace officer

·      Fail to comply with probation order – two counts

The accused was held for bail.

Robert FELTS Was Arrested Again, Break & Enter, Theft, Etc. #3Strikes

(ORILLIA, ON) – The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged one person after an early morning call for service of a suspicious person possibly armed with a weapon.

On May 15, 2025, just after 8:30 am, officers of the Orillia OPP were dispatched to a call for service of a person walking on West Street South in the City of Orillia possibly armed with a weapon. Numerous officers attended the area and located the suspect where they were quickly taken into custody without incident. Through investigation, it was learned the suspect allegedly broke into a nearby garage and had taken items prior to their arrest, before being confronted by the homeowner.

As a result of the investigation, Robert FELTS, 44-years-old of Orillia, was charged with the following:

–       Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose (CC),

–       Break and Enter (CC),

–       Mischief Under $5,000 (CC),

–       Theft Under $5,000 (CC),

–       Resist Peace Officer (CC),

–       Fail to Comply with Release Order x2 (CC), and

–       Being Intoxicated n a Public Place (LLCA).

The accused was held in custody on May 15th, 2025, to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia for a bail hearing.

14 Year Old Repeat Offender Arrested Following Car Fire

(QUINTE WEST, ON) – The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested and charged an individual in connection with a fully engulfed stolen vehicle on the 401.

On May 15, 2025, at approximately 7:15 a.m. Officers with the Quinte West OPP, the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team (TIME) and Quinte West Fire were dispatched to a vehicle that was fully engulfed in flame on the Eastbound shoulder of the 401 at mile marker 517. There were no individuals in the vehicle or at the scene. An investigation revealed the vehicle had been stolen from the Durham Region earlier.

As a result of the investigation, a 14-year-old from Oshawa has been charged with:

·        Theft of a Motor Vehicle

·        Failure to comply with Release Order – other than to attend court

·        Failure to comply with Undertaking

·        Failure to comply with Probation Order x2

·        Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000

The name of the accused cannot be released under the terms of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Kyle BATES Was Arrested Again #3Strikes

(ATIKOKAN, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Atikokan stopped a vehicle driver for driving contrary to conditions and found them to be impaired by drugs.

On May 14, 2025, at approximately 5:00 pm, an officer with the Atikokan Detachment OPP stopped a vehicle in the O’Brien Street area to check for compliance with court imposed conditions. Investigation determined that the driver was not compliant, and they were arrested at the scene. Signs of impairment were observed during the interaction and a field sobriety test was completed. The driver failed the test and was brought before an OPP expert to complete a drug impairment evaluation.  

Kyle BATES, 36-years-old, from Atikokan is charged criminally with: failing to comply with a release order other than to attend court, impaired operation alcohol and drugs, and possession of a Schedule I substance (cocaine). The accused received a 90-day driver license suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

The accused was held by police for a bail hearing scheduled for May 15, 2025, in the Fort Frances Ontario Court of Justice.

Belinda ROBINSON Was Arrested Again #RepeatOffender #3Strikes

(ATIKOKAN, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Atikokan stopped a drug impaired driver who was also breaching judicial release conditions.

On May 10, 2025, at approximately 7:00 pm, the Atikokan OPP stopped a vehicle on Hwy 11 after observing it cross the center line. The officer suspected impairment and conducted a standardized field sobriety test. The driver failed the test and was arrested. Additional investigation determined the driver was violating judicial release conditions. A drug recognition exam was completed at the Atikokan Detachment.

Belinda ROBINSON, 57-years-old, from Atikokan is charged with: impaired operation alcohol or drugs, refusing to comply with a demand, possession of a Schedule I substance (cocaine), and two counts of fail to comply with a release order other than to attend court.

The accused’s driver license was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. The accused was held by police and has a bail hearing scheduled for May 14, 2025, in the Thunder Bay Ontario Court of Justice.

2 Arrested In Drug Bust

(WALPOLE ISLAND FIRST NATION, ON) – Two individuals are facing drug trafficking charges after a search warrant was executed on Walpole Island First Nation.

On May 2, 2025, members from the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Elgin-Middlesex CSCU, Essex CSCU, with the assistance of the West Region OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), Lambton County OPP and Walpole Island Police Service uniform members, executed a search warrant at an address on Altiman Road, Walpole Island First Nation.

Police seized a quantity of suspected fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine, Canadian currency, and other offence-related items.

The combined estimated value of the items seized is over $8,400.

As a result of the investigation, Kyle NAHDEE, 41-year-old of Walpole Island First Nation, has been charged under the Criminal Code and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with the following offences:

·      Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order (three counts)

·      Fail to comply with probation order

·      Possession of a schedule l substance – Methamphetamine

·      Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine

·      Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Fentanyl

Amber HAWKINS, 33-year-old of Walpole Island First Nation, has been charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Fentanyl

The accused were released from police custody and are set to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Sarnia on July 2, 2025.

Repeat Offender Ashley SHAW Arrested Again

(BANCROFT, ON) – Members of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested one person for failing to comply with a release order.

On Thursday, May 1, 2025, officers were conducting an investigation in the Town of Bancroft, and they determined than an individual was not abiding by the conditions of their release order. On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, the accused was arrested and transported back to the detachment.

Ashley SHAW, 34, of Bancroft has been charged with:

·      Failure to comply with undertaking

·      Failure to comply with probation order – 11 counts

The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on May 9, 2025.

Repeat Offender Quinton TOM Arrested Again

(KENORA, ON) – Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged one individual following an incident involving threats in the downtown area of Kenora.

At approximately 2:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to a business on Chipman Street following a report of threats made toward a member of the public. Upon arrival, police located and arrested the suspect.

As a result of the investigation, Quinton TOM has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

·      Uttering Threats – Section 264.1(1)(a)

·      Fail to Comply with Probation Order – Section 733.1(1)

The accused was held remanded into custody and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora at a later date.

Repeat Offender Boyd Thomas RICHARDS Arrested Again

(ANRPRIOR, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) are investigating an incident on O’Brien Road in Renfrew.

On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, Renfrew OPP responded to reports of a weapons related incident near a business on O’Brien Road in the Town of Renfrew. Two people were taken into custody at the scene.

No weapons were located at the time of the arrest, but the investigation is continuing.  

Boyd Thomas RICHARDS, age 53 of Whitewater Region Township was charged with:

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking

·      Fail to comply with probation order

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on June 18, 2025.

The second person arrested was released with no charges.
