Tahlanna MISKOKOMON Was Arrested

(MUNSEE-DELAWARE FIRST NATION, ON) – Suspicious vehicle results in impaired driving charge.

On May 12, 2025, at 8:33 p.m., members of the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation Police and Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to an address on Jubilee Road in Munsee-Delaware First Nation for the report of a suspicious vehicle.

The vehicle was located stationary in a parking lot, at which time a traffic stop was initiated.

As a result, Tahlanna MISKOKOMON, a 26-year-old of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Failure or refusal to comply with demand

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on June 25, 2025.

The Middlesex OPP wants to remind the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately.

Brent BRIDEAU – Impaired Operation

(GORE BAY, ON) – One person is facing impaired-related charges after police received a call about a possible impaired driver.

On Saturday, May 10, 2025, at approximately 6:30 a.m., the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call reporting a possible impaired driver in the Dawson Township. Police located the vehicle on Highway 540 near Evansville and initiated a traffic stop. Further investigation resulted in the driver being arrested for impaired operation.

As a result, Brent BRIDEAU, 62-years-old from Evansville, was charged with operation while impaired – drugs.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay on June 24, 2025.

William PERKINS – Impaired Operation

(LAURENTIAN VALLEY TWP., ON.) – The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver with impaired after a collision. 

On April 19, 2025, just before 2:00 a.m., OPP received information regarding a collision on Barron Canyon Road in in Laurentian Valley Twp. Police located the driver who was injured. The driver and lone occupant of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital.

William PERKINS, 29 years old, of Petawawa was charged with impaired operation.

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days. The accused was released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on May 20, 2025.

Ralph BELANGER – Impaired Operation

(ESPANOLA, ON) – One person is facing impaired-related charges after police received a report of a suspicious vehicle.

On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a suspicious vehicle near Albert Street in Espanola. Shortly after, police located the vehicle at a parking lot on Centre Street in Espanola, and conducted a traffic stop. Police noticed an odour of cannabis emanating from the vehicle, and further investigation on scene resulted in the driver being arrested for impaired operation.

As a result, Ralph BELANGER, 61-years-old from Espanola, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – Drugs
  • Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on Monday, July 7, 2025.

April Nicole KRZYZANIAK – Impaired Operation

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after a traffic stop on Beachburg Road in Whitewater Region Township.

On May 6, 2025, at approximately 8:00 a.m., Renfrew OPP received a report of a suspected impaired driving leaving Arnprior.

Police located the vehicle on Beachburg Road and completed a traffic stop.

As a result of the investigation, April Nicole KRZYZANIAK, age 53 of Whitewater Region was charged with:

·      Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on June 4, 2025. The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Karen WILCOX Was Arrested

(ESPANOLA, ON) – A driver is facing charges after a traffic stop on Highway 17.

On Monday, May 5, 2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m., the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 17 in the Sables-Spanish Rivers Township. Police detected an odour of cannabis emanating from the vehicle, and further investigation resulted in the drive being arrested for impaired operation.

As a result, Karen WILCOX, 61-years-old from Massey, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – drugs
  • Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available
  • Improper number plate light

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on Monday, June 2, 2025.

Deborah BENOIT Was Arrested

(ESPANOLA, ON) – One person is facing charges after police received a call reporting a possible impaired driver.

On Sunday, May 5, 2025, at approximately 5:00 p.m., the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call reporting a driver passed out at the wheel at an address on First Street in Webbwood. Police arrived on scene, and further investigation resulted in the driver being arrested.

As a result, Deborah BENOIT, 69-years-old from Webbwood, was charged with operation while impaired – drugs.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on Monday, June 2, 2025.

Bryton WAGOOSH Was Arrested

(LITTLE CURRENT, ON) – A driver has been arrested and charged after police received traffic complaint.

On Sunday, May 4, 2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m., the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a vehicle that had made an unsafe pass, forcing another vehicle off the road on Highway 540 in the Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands (NEMI) Township. Police located the vehicle on Highway 551 in M’Chigeeng First Nation, and further investigation resulted in the driver being arrested.

As a result, Bryton WAGOOSH, 30-years-old from Whitefish River First Nation, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.

Brett HAGAN Arrested Following Collision

(BROCKTON, ON) – On April 28, 2025, at approximately 9:08 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a motor vehicle collision along Highway 21, Municipality of Kincardine.

On arrival, officers observed a single motor vehicle had entered the ditch. The driver departed the scene but was located shortly thereafter. The investigating officer detected signs of impairment from the involved driver. They were placed under arrest and transported for further testing.

Brett HAGAN, 21-years-old, of the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie was charged with:

  • Impaired Operation, CC 320.14(1)(a)
  • Dangerous Operation, CC 320.13(1)

The accused is set to appear in the Walkerton Court of Justice on June 18, 2025.

(HURON-KINLOSS, ON) – On April 27, 2025, at approximately 12:55 a.m., a member of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped to check a vehicle along Campbell Street, Township of Huron-Kinloss.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported for further testing.

  • Possession of a schedule I substance – methamphetamine, CDSA 4(1)
  • Have care or control of a vehicle with cannabis readily available, CCA 12(1)

The accused is set to appear at the Walkerton Court of Justice on May 28, 2025, to answer to the charge.

Robert EDIGHOFFER – Impaired Operation

(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) – On April 18, 2025, at approximately 11:01 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with the Grey Bruce OPP were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) along Bruce Road 10, Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.

A vehicle entered the area where police then spoke with the driver. The investigating officer detected signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and transported for further testing.

Passed Out Behind Wheel – 32 Year Old From Huron East Arrested – Details Released

(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Huron East resident with criminal driving offences after they were found unresponsive in a vehicle on a live lane of traffic in the Municipality of Huron East on April 5th, 2025. 

Just after 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 05, 2025, Huron County OPP officers located a pickup truck idling in a live lane of Johnston Line in Huron East. The driver was unresponsive and was awoken by officers. Police spoke to the driver and discovered that they had consumed alcohol prior to driving.

The driver was subsequently arrested for impaired operation and transported to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton where they provided breath samples before a qualified Intoxilyzer Breath Technician. Breath samples were provided to police which resulted in readings over the legal limit.

Jesse McKINNON, 32 years of age from Huron East has been charged with:

–      Impaired Operation – alcohol and drug,

–      Operation while Impaired – Over 80.

The accused was additionally charged with offences under the Liquor Licence Control Act and the Tobacco Tax Act.

The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.

The accused was later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on May 26th, 2025.

Tyler CARRIERE – Impaired Operation

(KAPUSKASING, ON) – A local resident is facing multiple charges, including drug-impaired driving, following a traffic stop in Kapuskasing.

On Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at approximately 9:00 p.m., the James Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a Highway Traffic Act violation on Government Road. During the stop, officers observed signs of impairment, and the driver was arrested and transported to the Kapuskasing detachment for further testing.

As a result, Tyler CARRIERE 32 years-of-age from Kapuskasing, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – drugs

·        Operation while impaired – blood drug concentration

·        Obstruct licence plate

·        Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle

·        Fail to surrender insurance card

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to next appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on May 12, 2025, in Kapuskasing. Additionally, they received a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Eric MAILLE – Impaired Operation

(VAL RITA – HARTY, ON) – A 36-year-old local resident is facing multiple charges following a traffic stop that led to a drug-impaired driving arrest.

On Monday, April 14, 2025, at approximately 2:20 p.m., the James Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call reporting a suspected breach of probation conditions. Officers located the individual driving on Highway 11 in Val Rita and conducted a traffic stop. The driver showed signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested. They were transported to the Kapuskasing detachment for further testing.

As a result, Eric MAILLE 36 years-of-age from Val Rita – Harty, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – drugs

·        Operation while impaired – blood drug concentration

·        Possession of a schedule I substance – Methamphetamine

·        Obstruct Peace Officer

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to next appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on May 12, 2025, in Kapuskasing. Additionally, they received a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Jeffrey COLAZZI – Impaired Operation

(ASPHODEL-NORWOOD TOWNSHIP, ON) – Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged an individual with impaired driving after conducting a traffic stop.

On April 20, 2025, shortly after 4:00pm, Peterborough County OPP Officers were on general patrol on County Road 40 in the township of Asphodel-Norwood when they observed a vehicle travelling at a rate significantly higher than the posted 80km/hr limit. The officer conducted a traffic stop and upon speaking with the driver, determined the driver to be impaired and arrested them.

Jeffrey COLAZZI (age 42) of Norwood, ON., was arrested and charged with;

·      Operation while impaired

·      Dangerous Operation

The accused had their drivers licence suspended for 90-days, and their vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on June 3, 2025
