Darien NICHOLAS – Drunk Driving

(LONDON, ON) – Driver facing Impaired driving charge after traffic stop on Highway 401.

On April 13, 2025, at 5:27 a.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), while travelling in the Westbound lanes of Highway 401 in the City of London, performed a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP Detachment.

As a result, Darien NICHOLAS, a 29-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Drive without proper rear light – motor vehicle

·      Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero

·      Driving while under suspension

The accused was held for bail.

The Middlesex OPP wants to remind the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately.

Prabhnoor SANDHU – Hit & Run, Drunk Driving

(DUFFERIN COUNTY) – Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Shelburne resident with impaired operation related offences as the result of a traffic complaint.

On April 13, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Dufferin OPP officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch near Blind Line and 20 Sideroad in the Town of Mono. Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle off the roadway.

Following a brief search of the area, officers found a lone male matching the suspect description hiding in a nearby swamp. After speaking with him, officers observed signs of impairment and subsequently initiated an impaired driving investigation.

Prabhnoor SANDHU, a 24-year-old male, from Shelburne has been charged with:

•      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

•      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

•      Fail to remain

The accused individual is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their driver’s licence was suspended, and their vehicle impounded.

Andre BROWN Was Arrested

(DUFFERIN COUNTY) – Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Shelburne resident with impaired operation related offences as the result of a traffic complaint.

On April 12, 2025, just before 11:00 p.m., Dufferin OPP officers were dispatched to a traffic complaint northbound Highway 10, in the Town of Mono. Officers were able to locate the accused shortly thereafter. After a brief conversation, the officers quickly identified signs that led them to initiate an impaired driving investigation.

Andre BROWN, a 42-year-old male, from Shelburne has been charged with:

•      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

•      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

The accused individual is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their driver’s licence was suspended, and their vehicle impounded.

2 More Drunk Drivers Arrested

(LENNOX AND ADDINGTON COUNTY, ON) – Lennox and Addington County members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two people with impaired driving.

On Saturday, April 12, 2025, shortly after noon, L&A County OPP members were called by 11 different drivers about a vehicle that had struck the guardrails and centre median on the 401 Highway. Police located the vehicle and the driver was arrested.

Antoine CHARBONNEAU, a 26-year-old from Saint-Alexandre, Quebec was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol
  • Dangerous operation
  • Driving motor vehicle with cannabis readily available
  • Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor

On Monday, April 14, 2025, just after 9:00 p.m., L&A County OPP was called regarding a traffic complaint on Highway 41. Police located the vehicle and the driver was arrested.

Kierston-Lee JEFFREY, a 25-year-old from Napanee was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol
  • Drive motor vehicle no licence

Both of the accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee at a later date. Their driver’s licences were suspended for 90 days, and their vehicles were impounded.

19 Year Old Drunk Driver Arrested

(SARNIA, ON) – One individual has been charged with impaired driving following a traffic stop on Mandaumin Road.

On April 11, 2025, at approximately 2:00 a.m., while conducting general patrol, a member of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a vehicle travelling a what appeared to be a high rate of speed.

A traffic stop was initiated on Mandaumin Road, south of Lakeshore Road, Sarnia.

As a result, Roderick BRESSETTE, 19-year-old of Sarnia, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Speeding 1 – 49 km/h over posted speed limit

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on May 19, 2025.

Brian BANKS – Drunk Driving

(BRANT COUNTY, ON) – On April 12, 2025 at approximately 1:46 a.m., members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a single motor vehicle in the ditch along Maple Ave S in the County of Brant.

As a result of the investigation, Brian BANKS, a 48-year-old Paris Ontario resident was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Brantford on April 24, 2025 at 9 a.m.

Neleah LITTLE-MACDOUGALL Was Arrested

(ORANGEVILLE, ON) – Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an Orangeville resident with impaired operation related offences as the result of a R.I.D.E. program.

On April 12, 2025, around 1:20 a.m., Dufferin OPP officers were conducting a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) spot check in the area of Broadway in the Town of Orangeville. A vehicle entered the area and was met by the officers. After a brief conversation, the officers were quickly led to an impaired driving investigation.

Neleah LITTLE-MACDOUGALL, a 22-year-old female, from Orangeville has been charged with:

•      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

•      Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available

The accused individual is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their driver’s licence was suspended, and their vehicle impounded.

Cameron BURT – Drunk Driving

(OTONABEE-SOUTH MONAGHAN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged an individual with impaired driving after being dispatched to a vehicle in the ditch call.

On April 13, 2025, at approximately 4:30am, Peterborough County OPP Officers were dispatched to a report of a single vehicle collision that took place on Highway 7 in the Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan. The caller advised that they had arrived on scene after the vehicle had already gone off the road. They advised police that they believed the driver to be impaired. The caller remained on scene until police arrived.

Police arrived on scene and after a brief conversation with the driver, the officer determined the driver to be impaired and arrested them.

Cameron BURT (age 21) of Colborne, ON., was arrested and charged with;

·      Operation while impaired

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Novice Driver – B.A.C. above zero

The accused had their drivers licence suspended for 90-days, and their vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on May 13, 2025

Curtis STRINGER – Drunk Driving

(BANCROFT, ON) – Members of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver with impaired operation after locating a truck in the ditch.

On Saturday. April 11, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Bancroft OPP officers attended the scene of the collision. Officers conducted a roadside test with an Approved Screening Device and as a result the driver was transported to the detachment for further testing.

As a result, Curtis STRINGER, a 27-year-old resident of Bancroft, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80) plus
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on May 6, 2025.

Dwayne HORAN – Drunk Driving

(ADJALA- TOSORONTIO, ON) – The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver involved in a single vehicle collision with impaired operation in Adjala-Tosorontio Township.

On April 13, 2025, shortly after 4:00 a.m., Nottawasaga OPP responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 89 and County Road 50. The driver called 911 to report that he had struck a traffic light pole and was unsure if he required a tow truck, no injuries were reported. 

At 4:16 a.m., officers arrived at the collision at which time the officer spoke with the lone male driver. The male stated he was driving eastbound into Alliston when he swerved around two deer that suddenly ran across the road.

The male was asked if he had any alcohol or drug use and he admitted to having some, hours prior at which time the officer issued an Approved Screening Device demand (ASD). Subsequently the driver provided a sample which resulted in a “Fail”. 

At 4:21 a.m., Dwayne HORAN, a 50-year-old male of Alliston was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

In addition to the charges, the driver was issued a 90-day license suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. 

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Bradford on May 8 2025, to answer to the charges.

John Hopkins Was Arrested For Drunk Driving

(TILLSONBURG, ON) – An individual from Port Rowan is facing impaired driving-related charges after a vehicle stop in the Town of Tillsonburg.

On April 12, 2025, at approximately 12:30 a.m., members of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were conducting general patrol in the Town of Tillsonburg, around Simcoe Street and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a Highway Traffic Act (HTA) violation.

John Hopkins, 47-years-old, of Port Rowan, has been charged with:  

·      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol

·      Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on May 27, 2025.

Nathan Scott – Drunk Driving

(BLANFORD-BLENHEIM, ON) – An individual from Plattsville is facing impaired driving-related charges stemming from a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver.

On April 4, 2025, at approximately 10:15 p.m., members of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were dispatched to Oxford Road 8, in the Township of Blandford-Blenheim, to a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver. 

Officers patrolled and located to the vehicle.

19 Year Old Drunk Driver Arrested – Name Released

(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) – An early morning RIDE program by members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) resulted in one driver being arrested.

Officers were conducting a RIDE program on Highway 62 at approximately 2:15 a.m. on April 9, 2025. During the RIDE, an Approved Screening Device was used, which resulted in a driver being arrested and transported to the detachment for further testing.

Isaiah TRAORE, age 19 of Prince Edward County has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on April 30, 2025. Their driver’s licence was also suspended for a period of 90 days and their vehicle impounded for 7 days.

Steven Gibson – Drunk Driving, Etc.

(Orillia, ON) – The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a driver with impaired operation related charges.

On April 10TH, 2025 at 12:30 pm, officers were dispatched to Rama Rd for a possible impaired motorist. Police received information from a member of the public that a male party had put his all-terrain vehicle into a ditch and was exhibiting several signs of impairment, including a strong smell of alcohol. Police arrived on scene shortly thereafter and entered into an impaired investigation, quickly determining the driver to be impaired. The accused was arrested and transported back to the Orillia Detachment for further testing. Additionally, it was found the accused had previous conviction for Impaired Related offences and was a Prohibited Driver.

 Steven Gibson 41-year-old of Ramara Township was charged with the following:

Adult Operation while impaired – Alcohol and drugs

Adult Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

Adult Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code

Adult Drive motor vehicle, no plates

Adult Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

The accused has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on April 11th, 2025.

Kobe MANITOWABI – Assault With Weapon, Etc.

(BATCHEWANA FIRST NATION, ON) – An individual is facing criminal charges after attempting to flee from police.

On April 9, 2025, at approximately 12:02 a.m., an officer with the Batchewana First Nation Police Service (FNPS) was conducting general patrol in Batchewana First Nation, when they observed a motor vehicle turn into the parking lot of the Batchewana FNPS detachment on Nebenaigoching Street, then make an abrupt u-turn in front of the officer. A traffic stop was conducted, where the officer formed grounds to believe the driver was impaired by an intoxicating substance. The officer requested the driver’s documents, at which point they yelled an expletive at the officer and drove away.

Two nearby officers with the Garden River Anishinabek Police Service (APS) attended to assist. A second vehicle stop was attempted, when the driver tried to flee by intentionally backing into one of the APS cruisers. The vehicle then drove into a nearby ditch, where officers arrested the driver. The driver was brought to the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police detachment and tested for impaired driving.

As a result, Kobe MANITOWABI, 23 years-of-age, of Wikwemikong First Nation was arrested and charged with:

  • Flight from peace officer
  • Dangerous operation
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Mischief under $5,000
  • Resist peace officer
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Drive motor vehicle – no licence

The accused was held for a bail hearing, and subsequently remanded into custody. The accused was issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
