MUHAMMAD & MUHAMMAD Charged

(BLIND RIVER, ON) – The East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged two drivers after numerous traffic complaints on Highway 17.  

On July 16, 2025, at approximately 11:00 a.m., the OPP received numerous complaints pertaining to a black sports car and a white sports car racing and driving dangerously. Both cars were stopped a short time later on Highway 17, Plumber Additional Township, and both drivers were charged accordingly.

Javed MUHAMMAD, 19-years-old, from Winnipeg, Manitoba, was charged with – Careless Driving.

Ali MUHAMMAD, 20-years-old, from Winnipeg, Manitoba, was charged with – Careless Driving.

Joshua MALLAIS Arrested Following Collision

(HALDIMAND COUNTY) – One person is charged following a collision on Highway 6 in Haldimand County.

On July3, 2025, shortly after 4:27 a.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Haldimand Detachment responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 6 north of Caledonia between Unity Side Road and Haldibrook Road.

One person was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  

The road is now open to traffic.

Joshua MALLAIS, 28 years old, of Gatineau, Quebec is charged with Careless Driving.

One Dead – Joseph WEBER Arrested

On May 13, 2025 the Perth County OPP charged 19-year-old, North Perth resident, Joseph WEBER with the following offence under the Highway Traffic Act:

WEBER is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on June 24, 2025.

Pedestrain Run Down In Walkerton – 27 Year Old Arrested

(BROCKTON, ON) – On April 16, 2025, at approximately 12:16 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Bruce County Paramedic Services responded to a collision involving a pedestrian at Durham Street East and Colborne Street South, Municipality of Brockton.

A 64-year-old pedestrian was struck by a passenger vehicle while crossing the road. They were transported to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver, a 27-year-old resident of Brockton has been charged with the following:

  • Careless driving causing bodily harm, HTA 130(3)

45 Year Old From Kincardine Arrested – Details Released

(KINCARDINE, ON) – On April 8, 2025, at approximately 6:07 p.m., a member of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped to check a vehicle along Highway 21, Municipality of Kincardine.

After speaking with the driver, the investigating officer detected signs of impairment. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest. A search incident to arrest led to the discovery of approximately 40g of suspected cocaine. The driver was transported for further testing.

On April 9, 2025, the South Bruce OPP, the Grey-Bruce Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), and Huron-Perth CSCU, executed a search warrant in relation to this matter at an address in the Municipality of Kincardine. The search resulted in the seizure of suspected illicit drugs and prohibited weapons.

Mark MCINTOSH, 45-years-old, resident of Kincardine, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired, CC 320.14(1)(a)
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, CDSA 5(2)
  • Possession of a schedule I substance, CDSA 4(1)
  • Possession of a prohibited device, CC 92(2)
  • Fail to comply with undertaking, CC 145(4)(a)
  • Careless driving, HTA 130(1)

The accused was held for a bail hearing and subsequently remanded into custody.

Haider MUNIR Facing Numerous Charges

(WELLINGTON NORTH TWP, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charges Oshawa resident criminally, alongside four additional provincial charges in relation to a traffic stop.

On March 4, 2025, at approximately 10:30 a.m., members of the Wellington County OPP Traffic Unit were performing a proactive traffic enforcement initiative and observed a motor vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed, nearly colliding into a tractor-trailer. A traffic stop was promptly conducted on Highway 6 within Wellington North Township.

As a result of the investigation, Haider MUNIR, a 40-year-old from Oshawa, is charged under the Criminal Code and the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Careless driving
  • Dangerous operation
  • Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed – community zone
  • Pass – roadway not clear – approaching traffic
  • Speeding 50+ km/h over posted limit

Anyone charged with Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform stunt receives a 14-day impoundment and a 30-day driver’s licence suspension as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on April 8, 2025.

Randall SMITH Was Arrested – Details Released

(NORTH SHORE TOWNSHIP, ON) – The East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver in after numerous traffic complaints.  

On January 20, 2025, at approximately 5:15 p.m., the OPP were notified of the burgundy car with a black roof now travelling northbound on Highway 108 at a high rate of speed, passing unsafely, and driving erratically. Police intercepted the car and conducted a traffic stop near Mountain Road in Elliot Lake. While speaking to the driver, police also detected a strong odour of cannabis. As a result, approximately 30 grams of suspected cannabis and approximately 1100 unmarked cigarettes were seized.   

Randall SMITH, 37-years-old, from Elliot Lake, was charged with:

  • Careless Driving
  • Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available
  • Possess unmarked cigarettes

30 Year Old From Lucan Arrested – Details Released

(LUCAN BIDDULPH, ON) – Driver facing charges after two-vehicle collision in Lucan.

On December 24, 2024, at 7:32 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Middlesex-London Paramedic Service were dispatched to Main Street at Princess Street in Lucan, Lucan Biddulph, for the report of a two-vehicle collision.

The driver of one of the involved vehicles was arrested and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

There were no serious injuries reported.

As a result, Jack WORDTMANN, a 30-year-old of Lucan, has been charged under the Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act and Liquor Licence Control Act with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero

·      Careless driving

·      Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on February 13, 2025.

The Middlesex OPP wants to remind the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately.

Jack CARON Was Arrested

(CENTRAL ELGIN, ON) – The Elgin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), has charged an individual following a collision investigation.

On December 6, 2024, at approximately 12:00 a.m., the Elgin OPP responded to a single-vehicle collision involving a passenger vehicle on Talbot Line near Yarmouth Centre Road in the Municipality of Central Elgin.

No serious injuries were reported.

As a result of the investigation, Jack CARON, a 25-year-old from St. Thomas was charged with:

  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Careless driving

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on January 14, 2025.

Christopher YETMAN Was Arrested

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual has been charged following an investigation into a collision in Waterford.

At approximately 12:48 a.m. on Friday, October 4, 2024, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment responded to a single-vehicle collision on Highway 24 in Waterford, Norfolk County. No injuries were reported.

After conducting a roadside sobriety assessment, the driver was taken into custody without incident.

Charged with the following alleged offences is 34-year-old Christopher YETMAN of Brantford, Ontario:

  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand,
  • Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero,
  • Careless driving.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.

David Ward-Stott Facing Numerous Charges

(ELDERSLIE, ON) – The Grey Bruce Line was closed for a collision but has since re-opened.

On September 29, 2024, at 4:39 p.m., the Grey Bruce OPP responded to threats call that occurred on September 14, 2024, in Park Head, South Bruce Peninsula. The accused threatened the victim at which time a be on the lookout (BOLO) was issued to surrounding police agencies.

On September 29, 2024, at 7:31 p.m., the Grey Bruce OPP was conducting traffic enforcement on the Grey Bruce Line. The officer observed a vehicle travelling 129 km/hr in an 80 zone. The officer conducted a U-turn and observed a short distance down the road, the vehicle, a motorcycle laying on its side on the shoulder of the highway. The driver was transported to hospital as a precaution.

As a result, David Ward-Stott, 31-years of age of Owen Sound was charged with the following:

  • Uttering threats
  • Speeding 1-49km/hr over posted limit
  • Drive motor vehicle, no plates
  • Careless driving
  • Driving while under suspension X2
  • Operation while prohibited
  • Drive motor vehicle – no licence
  • Operate motor vehicle no licence
  • Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle
  • Fail to apply for permit on becoming owner
  • Possession of property obtained by crime – under $5000

The accused was held pending a bail hearing.

The Grey Bruce Line was closed between Grey Road 25 and Concession 4 of Elderslie.

Suthaharan THEVENTHRAN Charged Following Collision

(DRYDEN, ON) – Members of the Ignace Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment have arrested and charged one individual following a vehicle roll over.

On September 21, 2024, at approximately 10:00 a.m. members of the Ignace OPP Detachment responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 in the Bradshaw Township.

Police learned that a single motor vehicle had entered a ditch. The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result, Suthaharan THEVENTHRAN, 41-years-old, of Pickering has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

·        Carless driving

Ajaypal SINGH – Careless Driving

(ATIKOKAN, ON) – A public complaint about a dangerous truck driver resulted in several charges for a Thunder Bay resident. 

On June 21, 2024 at approximately 8:00 pm, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Atikokan received a public complaint about a tractor trailer unit (TTU) log truck that was driving dangerously on Highway 11 near the Rainy River District border with Thunder Bay. The TTU forced another vehicle onto the shoulder of the highway and was observed to be repeatedly crossing over the center line into the oncoming lane.

Atikokan OPP acquired video of the offence and began an investigation that was assisted by the Ministry of Transportation Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement Branch and the Canada Border Services Agency Inland Immigration Enforcement Branch.

Ajaypal SINGH, 24-years-old from Thunder Bay is charged with the following offences under the Highway Traffic Act:

·        Careless driving

·        Falsify record or document (OReg 556/06)

·        Drive commercial motor vehicle without inspection

The defendant is summoned to appear in the Atikokan Ontario Court of Justice on September 20, 2024 to answer to the charges.

It is every driver’s responsibility to share our roads safely. This is particularly important when large commercial vehicles are present. Commercial Motor Vehicle safety forms part of the OPP’s overall Provincial Traffic Safety Strategy. 25 Year Old From Dundalk Charged Following Collision

(BRANT COUNTY, ON) – The involved driver that involved in a three-vehicle collision has sustained serious injuries but is in stable condition.

On April 22nd, 2024, at approximately 7:03 a.m., the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a three-vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 24 north in Brant County. Members of Brant County Fire, Brant County EMS and Ministry of Transportation (MTO) also attended the scene.

To assist with the investigation and for the protection of emergency responders, a section of the highway was closed between Glen Morris Road East and Locke Road. The road re-opened at approximately 6:15 p.m., that evening.

The driver from one of the involved vehicles was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

A 25-year-old from Dundalk has been charged with Careless Driving.

Jessyka VEILLEUX – Trespass, Hit & Run, Careless Driving

(COCHRANE, ON) – Police arrested the driver of a motorized snow vehicle (MSV) that had fled the scene after colliding with a house.

On March 2, 2024, at approximately 12:30 a.m., the James Bay Police responded to a call of a MSV hitting the air conditioning unit of a home on Third Avenue in Cochrane. The driver had fled on foot prior to police arrival.

Police located and arrested the driver who was hiding in a near by shed, under a tarp. The driver’s licence was discovered to be suspended under the criminal code.

As a result of the investigation, Jessyka VEILLEUX, 34 years of age of Iroquois Falls, was charged with the following:

  • Operation while prohibited under the criminal code
  • Resist peace officer
  • Trespassing at night
  • Fail to report collision
  • Careless driving

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on April 9, 2024 in Cochrane.
