2 Arrested For Break & Enter

(HUNTSVILLE, ON) – The Huntsville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two individuals with several offenses related to on-going investigations into break and enters in the Town of Huntsville and surrounding area.

Huntsville OPP, assisted by the Muskoka Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), have been investigating multiple break-ins at business locations in the Town of Huntsville during June 2024. On June 11th, 2024, the media was informed about these incidents and appealed for the public’s help.

As a result of the investigation, police have charged 22-year-old Dylan BANNISTER of Huntsville, ON with the following offenses:

·      Break, Enter a place – with intent to commit indictable offence – X 2

·      Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence – X 2

·      Failure to comply with undertaking – X 3

·      Mischief Under $5000

·      Theft Under $5000

·      Operation while Prohibited under the Criminal Code

This accused was held for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice and has been remanded into custody.

Police have also charged 21-year-old Easton CHILDERHOSE, of Huntsville, with:

·      Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence

·      Fail to comply with probation order – X 2

This accused was released on an Undertaking with a future court date of July 30, 2024, in the Town of Bracebridge.

Ryan SULLIVAN – Assault, Threats, Break & Enter

(NORTH PERTH, ON) – The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after three separate investigations in the Municipality of North Perth.

Just before 1:00 a.m. on June 16, 2024, Perth County OPP began investigating after a person unknown to the homeowner entered a residence on Wallace Avenue North, Listowel. They were arrested on scene.

On June 18, 2024, just before 8:00 a.m., a citizen reported an alarm at a business on Inkerman St. West, in Listowel. When police arrived on scene moments later, a person was found inside and was arrested.

On June 19, 2024, Perth County OPP were once again notified that an individual had threated a local business, and caused damage to a sign.

As a result of these investigations, Ryan SULLIVAN, 31, of Fergus, has been charged with:

–      Unlawfully in a Dwelling

–      Break, Enter a place – with intent to commit indictable offence

–      Uttering Threats – damage property

–      Mischief – destroys or damages property

–      Resist Peace Officer

–      Assault a Peace Officer

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Devon KINGSBURY – Break & Enter & Theft

(KILLALOE, ON) – Police have arrested and charged one person with criminal offences in relation to an entry that occurred in 2023.

On August 8, 2023, members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the break and enter at a residence on 60 Highway in the Township of North Algona Wilberforce. Household copper wire and piping were stolen.

As a result of police investigation, 29-year-old Devon KINGSBURY of Eganville was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

·      break and enter; and,

·      theft under $5000.

The accused was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on July 31, 2024, 9:30 a.m., Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke.

Jeremy BROUMPTON – Break & Enter

(BROOKE-ALVINSTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On Thursday June 13, 2024, at just before 11:00 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a residence in the 8000 block of Francis Street, Brooke-Alvinston Township in relation to a reported break and enter.   

Officers attended the location and received information from the victim regarding a break and enter into the residence. The victim was able to identify the suspect who had fled the location prior to police arrival. Shortly after, OPP were able to locate and arrest the suspect, without issue.

Jeremy BROUMPTON, 39-year-old from Enniskillen Township, Ontario has been charged with the following:

  • Break, Enter Place – Commit Indictable Offence
  • Trespassing at Night

The accused has been held into custody pending a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice – Sarnia on June 14, 2024.

Break & Enter – 4 Arrested, Names Released

(Hastings Highlands, ON) – Members of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario

Provincial Police (OPP) have charged four people following a break-and-enter investigation.

Officers responded to a break-and-enter in progress on June 11th, 2024 shortly before 2:30 a.m., at a business on Highway 127 in Lake Peter in the municipality of Hastings Highlands. The investigation resulted in the arrest of four people.

Terrance KELLER a 22-year-old of Bancroft, has been charged with the following criminal offences:

-Break, Enter a place;

-Possession Break In Instruments;

-Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose;

-Theft Under $5000;

-Mischief Under $ 5,000; and

-Disguise with Intent.

The accused was held pending a bail court hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville and remains in custody.

Michael Kinder, a 29-year-old of Highlands East, has been charged with the following criminal offences:

-Break, Enter a place;

-Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose;

-Possession Break In Instruments;

-Theft Under $5000;

-Mischief Under $ 5,000; and

-Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.

The accused was held pending a bail court hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville and remains in custody.

Laurie MILLIGAN, a 36-year-old of Highlands East, has been charged with the following criminal offences:

-Break, Enter a place;

-Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000;

-Theft Under $5000; and

-Flight from a peace officer.

The accused was held pending a bail court hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville and was released from custody.

John STONE a 38-year-old of Highlands East, has been charged with the following criminal offences:

-Break, Enter a place;

-Theft Under $5000;

-Possession Break In Instruments;

-Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose;

-Disguise with Intent;

-Mischief Under $ 5,000; and

-Fail to Comply with Probation Order – two counts.

The accused was held pending a bail court hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.

Xavier RAITHBY Was Arrested

(NORTH PERTH, ON) – The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested and charged one person following two separate thefts that occurred in the Municipality of North Perth.

On May 27,2024, the Perth County OPP began investigating following a break and enter to a community organization on Main Street West, in Listowel, during which items were stolen from the organization. Further, in a separate incident, a bicycle was stolen from a business in Listowel on June 4, 2024.

Xavier RAITHBY, 21, of North Perth, has been charged with:

–      Break, Enter a Place – Commit Indictable Offence

–      Theft Under $5,000

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on July 22, 2024, to answer to the charges.

Travis SHELTON Was Arrested Again

(GRAVENHURST, ON) – Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person with several offenses related to ongoing investigations into break and enters in Gravenhurst.

Bracebridge OPP, with the assistance of the Muskoka Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), has been investigating several break and enters into business locations that have occurred in the town of Gravenhurst in April and May, 2024. As a result of the investigation, police identified a suspect and on May 6, 2024, attempted to execute an arrest of that person in Gravenhurst. The suspect fled on a bicycle and a search was conducted into the late evening with the assistance of the OPP K9 unit and OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), however the search was unsuccessful in locating the suspect.

At 8:00 a.m. on June 7, 2024, police were dispatched to a break and enter that occurred at the Cultural Healing Centre on the Wahta Mohawk First Nation after the manager noticed a broken window while opening the centre for the day. The investigation revealed that the suspect was the same person related to the ongoing investigation in the town of Gravenhurst. Officers attended an address nearby and located the suspect, who surrendered himself to police.

Police have charged 30-year-old Travis SHELTON of Gravenhurst, ON with the following offenses:

  • Break and Enter CC 348(1)(b) X 3
  • Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling CC 349(1)
  • Mischief Under $5000 CC 430(4)
  • Resist Peace Officer CC 129(a)
  • Fail to Comply with Probation CC 733.1(1) X 2

He has been held in custody and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge for a bail hearing on June 10, 2024.

Two Arrested For Break & Enter

(PEMBROKE, ON) – The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges against two individuals after a recent break and enter.   

On June 3, 2024, at approximately 6:15 p.m., officers from the UOV OPP responded to a break and enter in progress at a residence on Church Street in Pembroke. Two people were arrested at the scene and taken into custody by police.   

As a result of this incident 54-year-old Mark MARTYN of no fixed address, and 38-year-old Derick Timothy Scott SULLIVAN of Allumette Island, QC, have both been charged under the Criminal Code (CC) with break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence. MARTYN faces an additional CC charge of failing to comply with probation.

MARTYN was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on July 8, 2024.  

SULLIVAN was held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on June 7, 2024.

CROWE & ARSENAULT Arrested For Break & Enter

(ADELAIDE METCALFE, ON) – Police have charged two individuals after a theft of trailer in Adelaide Metcalfe.

On May 29, 2024, at 1:38 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to an address on Egremont Drive in Adelaide Metcalfe Township, for the report of a theft in progress.

Officers attended the area and located the truck and trailer travelling Eastbound on Highway 402.

A traffic stop was initiated at which time two individuals were placed under arrest.

As a result, Kenneth ARSENAULT, a 59-year-old of Hamilton has been charged under the Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with:

  • Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – in Canada
  • Possession Break In Instruments
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Use plate not authorized for vehicle (two counts)
  • Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle
  • Fail to have insurance card

As a result, Jason CROWE, a 35-year-old of St. Thomas has been charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – in Canada
  • Possession Break In Instruments
  • Use plate not authorized for vehicle
  • Class G1 licence holder – unaccompanied by qualified driver

The enclosed utility trailer, valued between $15,000 and $20,000 was recovered.

The accused were held for bail.

Phillip Baumlisberger Was Arrested

(SOUTHGATE, ON) – One individual is facing charges following a report of a break and enter at a property in Southgate.

On May 11, 2024, an individual broke into a seasonal property on Highway 89 in the Municipality of Southgate. The owner fixed the damage but did not report to police. On May 13, 2024, at 8:33 p.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a break and enter that occurred at the same seasonal property. Police attended and located an individual on the property. There is no evidence to suggest the same individual broke in both times.

As a result, Phillip Baumlisberger, 35-years-old of Amaranth Township has been charged with the following:

  • Break, enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence
  • Theft under $5000
  • Mischief – destroys or damages property

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on June 6, 2024.

Denika TAYLOR – Break & Enter

(HEARST, ON) – One person was arrested near the scene of a break and enter.

On May 5, 2024, shortly before 7:30 p.m., the James Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call reporting a break and enter on Quirion Street in Hearst. As police were responding to this call, another call came in reporting a person walking into traffic along Highway 11, close to the original call for service.

An investigation determined the person walking along Highway 11 was in possession of items taken from the residence of the break and enter.

As a result of the investigation, Denika TAYLOR, 30 years of age of Constance Lake, was charged with the following:

  • Break and enter a dwelling house – commit indictable offence
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Theft over $5000
  • Mischief – interfere with any person in the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property over $5000
  • Mischief under $5000
  • Unlawfully in dwelling house
  • Possession of an identity document

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to next appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on May 10, 2024 in Hearst.

Brendon BOLDUC – Break & Enter

(WARWICK TOWNSHIP, ON) – An Individual is charged with several offences in relation to a previous break, enter and theft to a business in Warwick Township.

On Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 9:26 a.m., members of the Lambton detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a business located in the 5200 block of Nauvoo Road, Warwick Township in relation to a break, enter and theft.   

An employee at the business reported that an unknown individual forced their way into the business overnight and stole a quantity of cash. The individual caused significant damage to the interior of the business.

Brendon BOLDUC, 37-year-old from Warwick Township, Ontario has been charged with the following:

  • Break, Enter Place – Commit Indictable Offence
  • Mischief Under $5000 (2 Counts)
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 (2 Counts)
  • Fail to Comply with Undertaking
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice – Sarnia on May 13, 2024.

Mitcho BOGLIS Was Arrested

(SHELBURNE, ON) – Members from the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual as a result of break and enter to a restaurant on Main Street in the Town of Shelburne.

On April 29, 2024, shortly after 1:00 a.m., Dufferin OPP responded to the report of a break and enter at a local restaurant in Shelburne. Upon arrival, police noted the rear door ajar and broken wine bottles inside the establishment. The investigation revealed the suspect stole alcohol.

Officers reviewed security footage and were able to identify the male suspect. The suspect was charged accordingly and released from police custody.

A few hours later officers responded to a second break and enter to the same address. After reviewing video surveillance, the suspect was confirmed to be the same male police charged earlier that day. The investigation confirmed the male stole alcohol again.

As a result of the two investigations, Mitcho BOGLIS, 70-year-old from Shelburne has been charged with:

·      Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence – (two counts)

·      Theft Under $5000 – (two counts)

·      Failure to comply with undertaking

Jozsef TOTH & David BALOGH Were Arrested

(CALEDON, ON) – Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two individuals following a break and enter investigation.

On April 22, 2024, officers were dispatched to a commercial address on Simpson Road to investigate a theft. The preliminary investigation revealed a break and enter that occurred on April 20. Aluminium products valued at approximately $48,000 were taken.

On April 23, 2024, an officer patrolling the Bolton area observed the vehicle seen in the surveillance footage during the break of enter. With the assistance of Caledon OPP’s Community Street Crime Unit, the two occupants of the vehicle were arrested.

As a result, David BALOGH, 28, of Scarborough, was charged with:

• Break, enter a place

• Possession break-in instruments

• Fail to comply with probation order – two counts

The accused was held for a Bail Hearing.

Jozsef TOTH, 33, of Toronto, was charged with:

• Break, enter a place

• Possession break-in instruments

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on May 23, 2024, to answer to the charges.

(LEAMINGTON, ON) – Multiple charges have been laid in relation to a break and enter in the Municipality of Leamington.

On April 11, 2024, at approximately 7:33 p.m., the Leamington detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to an address on Mersea Road E in Leamington.

Officers arrived on scene and located and arrested two individuals inside the residence.

Dylan DAMM, 29 years-of-age of Kingsville has been charged with the following Criminal Code Offences:

·        Theft Under $5000

·        Possession Break In Instruments

Robin Marilyn CLARK, 58 years-of-age of Kingsville has been charged with the following Criminal Code Offences:

·        Possession Break In Instruments

The accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, located in Windsor at a later date.
