James CARROL – Was Arrested Again

(BANCROFT, ON) – Members of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged the driver of an ATV with impaired in the Town of Bancroft.

On Sunday, June 15, 2025, just after 6:00 p.m., Bancroft OPP officers were responding to a disturbance in the area of Woodview Lane. While officers were investigating the disturbance an approved screening device was utilized, and as a result, the accused was transported to the detachment for testing.

James CARROL, a 23-year-old resident of Bancroft, has been charged with the following:

–      Assault with a weapon

–      Failure to comply with a release order

–      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

–      Operation while impaired – alcohol

The accused was held for bail and released by the courts. CARROL is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on June 24, 2025.

Declyn LAFRAMBOISE – Assault With Weapon

(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) – A Glencoe resident has been charged after reports of a disturbance.

On June 17, 2025, at 8:15 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to an address on McKellar Street in Glencoe, Municipality of Southwest Middlesex, for the report of a disturbance.  

Investigation revealed an individual had been assaulted during the altercation.

As a result, Declyn LAFRAMBOISE, a 26-year-old of Glencoe, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Assault with A Weapon

·      Assault

·      Mischief Under $ 5,000

The accused was held for bail.

Destynie TEMPENY – Assault With Weapon, Breach

(HALDIMAND COUNTY) – On June 14, 2025, at approximately 12:25 a.m., members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance on Broad Street, Dunnville.

The investigation determined that two individuals became involved in a verbal argument that escalated.

One person brandished an edged weapon during the altercation, and they were subsequently taken into custody.

No injuries were reported.

As a result of the investigation, 19-year-old Destynie TEMPENY of Dunnville has been charged with the following offences:

  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Uttering Threats -Cause Death or Bodily Harm
  • Failure to Comply with Release Order – Other than to Attend Court
  • Being Intoxicated in a Public Place

The accused is schedule to appear before the Ontario court of Justice in Cayuga on July 29, 2025.

Casey FOURNIER – Assault, Hit & Run

(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrest person after altercation in grocery store parking lot.

On June 10, 2025, at approximately 1:00 p.m. the complainant noticed that their vehicle was hit by a vehicle parked next to it. The vehicle owner was spoke to and verbal argument ensued. The vehicle owner then escalated matters when he retrieved a baseball bat from his vehicle and threatened the complainant. They departed prior to police arrival but was later arrested.

Casey FOURNIER, 55-years-old, of Elliot Lake, was charged with:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Failure to stop after accident
  • Driving while under suspension – two counts

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on August 14, 2025.

Nicholas VALLIQUETTE – Assault

(TAY VALLEY TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following an assault investigation.

Lanark County OPP officers responded to an incident in Tay Valley Township on Saturday, June 14, 2025, just after 7:00 p.m. after a complaint was received about an individual assaulting multiple people. Prior to police arrival, the individual had fled on foot on Scotch Line Road. A short time later, the male was struck by an on-coming vehicle resulting in non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation resulted in a male being arrested.

Nicholas VALLIQUETTE, 25-years-old from Smith Falls, has been charged with:

·        Assault – two counts

·        Common nuisance

·        Pedestrian on roadway (Highway Traffic Act)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, July 21, 2025.

Aggravated Assault – Jayson PEARCE Arrested

(MIDLAND, ON) – Members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have made an arrest in relation to an assault with a weapon investigation that had occurred in the town of Midland over the weekend.

On Friday June 13, 2025, at approximately 11:13 p.m., officers responded to a report of an injured male requiring medical assistance after being assaulted by an individual with an edged weapon at a Yonge Street, Midland motel. Attending officers at approximately 11:18 p.m., located and took over first aid duties from bystanders tending to a male victim outside in the parking lot and after a brief investigation the suspect was located at the scene and arrested.

Uniform OPP investigators at the scene were assisted by members of the Detachment Major Crime Unit, Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Forensic Identification Services (FIS).

Charged is Jayson PEARCE 26 years of Midland with the offence of Aggravated Assault contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was held for a bail hearing and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date.

The membership of the Southern Georgian Bay OPP Detachment would like to thank the civilians who without hesitation selflessly assisted the 45 year old male victim of Midland who was transported by Simcoe County Paramedics to an area hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the assault and later released.

Investigators would like to advise that they believe this to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety but do remind all members of the public to be aware of their personal safety at all times.

Serious Assault – One Arrested, 2 @ Large

(DESERONTO, ON) – One person has been charged, and arrest warrants have been issued for three others in connection with a serious assault in Deseronto.

On Friday, May 16, 2025, just after 4:00 a.m., officers with the Lennox and Addington County (LAC) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance at a residence. One person was transported to hospital by Lennox and Addington County Paramedics with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

This is believed to be an isolated incident and there is believed to be no public safety risk.

As a result of an investigation by the L&A OPP Crime Unit, arrest warrants were issued for four people.

On Wednesday, June 11, 20205, a search warrant was executed at a residence on Old Highway-2 in east-end Belleville. One person was arrested.

Jean LEGAULT, age 55 of Belleville is charged with:

  • Aggravated assault
  • Assault
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Forcible confinement – two counts
  • Intimidation
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – two counts
  • Uttering threats to damage or injure an animal – two counts.

Brandon MACKIE Was Arrested – Assault, Etc.

(CORUNNA, ON) – An individual faces numerous charges following a collision in Corunna.

On June 9, 2025, at approximately 9:10 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a collision in the area of Cameron Street and Murray Street, Corunna.

Early investigation determined that an unoccupied parked car was struck, and that the driver failed to remain at the scene. A witness approached the driver, at which point an altercation occurred.

There were no injuries reported.

As a result of the investigation, Brandon MACKIE, 32-year-old of Sarnia, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Assault
  • Dangerous operation
  • Failure to stop after accident

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Sarnia on July 8, 2025.

Assault & Threats – Christopher CHURCH Arrested

(PORTLAND, ON) – An individual is facing multiple charges after a heated dispute involving threats and an assault, as well as further incidents at a local hospital.

On Saturday, May 31, 2025, shortly after 8:00 p.m., members of the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance in Portland. An officer was required to deploy their Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW, commonly referred to as a Taser) to arrest an individual at the scene. The individual was transported to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

While at the hospital, further threats were made against medical staff.

As a result of the investigation, 45-year-old Christopher CHURCH of Portland is charged with:

  • Assault
  • Mischief – destroy or damage property
  • Mischief – obstruct, interrupt or interfere
  • Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Brockville Ontario Court of Justice on June 27, 2025.

(BANCROFT, ON) – The Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police has charged one person following an altercation.

On June 4, 2025, shortly after 9:00 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance at a residence in Hastings Highlands. One person was arrested a short time later at a traffic stop.

Mike HOWARTH, a 33-year-old from Bancroft, has been charged with:

–      Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose

–      Assault with a weapon

–      Uttering Threats

The accused was released from custody with and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on August 5, 2025.

Violent Robbery – Douglas SWEENEY Arrested

(BRACEBRIDGE, ON) – Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a serious incident that occurred in Bracebridge and one person stands charged.

On June 4, 2025 at 9:40 p.m. Bracebridge OPP officers, along with Muskoka EMS, responded to reports of a loud disturbance at a motel on Manitoba Street in Bracebridge. Officers arrived and found that two individuals had been injured, one of whom was transported to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries. Officers located the suspect several streets away and arrested and charged 31-year-old Douglas SWEENEY, of Bracebridge, with the following:

  • Robbery with Violence
  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Aggravated Assault
  • Break and Enter
  • Assault X 2
  • Resist Peace Officer
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  • Mischief

He was held in custody and will appear in to Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on June 9, 2025 to answer to his charges.

Paramvir KHAIRA – Assault With Weapon, Dangerous Operation

(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment were called to the eastbound lanes of Highway 401, near Folden’s Line for the report of an altercation between two drivers.

On June 3, 2025, at approximately 8:30 a.m., members of Oxford OPP investigated an incident involving a transport truck driver and a pick-up truck driver.

As a result of the investigation, the transport truck driver, Paramvir KHAIRA, 35-years-old, of Whitby has been charged with:

•        Dangerous Operation

•        Assault with A Weapon

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on July 29, 2025.

No injuries were reported.

Brandon ROACH – Assault, Impaired Driving

(MUNICIPALITY OF TRENT LAKES, ON) – Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged an individual with assault and impaired driving after receiving a call regarding a road rage incident.

On May 31, 2025, shortly after 9:00am, Peterborough County OPP Officers were dispatched to a report of a fight between two individuals at an intersection on Buckhorn Road. Officers attended and spoke with the first driver who shared their side of the story. Upon speaking with the second driver, officers detected signs that they may be under the influence of alcohol. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the Peterborough County OPP detachment. The accused provided samples of their breath registering over twice the legal limit.

Brandon ROACH (age 39) of Buckhorn, ON., was arrested and charged with;

·      Operation while impaired

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Assault

·      Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90-days, and their vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on July 8, 2025.

Jacob HOAG Was Arrested For Assault

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual has been charged following an assault investigation in Simcoe.

At approximately 12:54 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2025, the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an assault on Miller Cresent in Simcoe.

Through investigation, it was determined that two individuals were involved in an interaction inside a residence, during which one was physically assaulted and sustained minor injuries.

As a result, one individual was taken into custody without incident.

28-year-old Jacob HOAG from Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offence:

  • Assault.

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Monday, June 2, 2025.
