Jessica WETHERUP – Assault

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual has been charged following an investigation into a dispute that led to an assault in Walsingham.

On Friday, August 15, 2025, at approximately 12:20 p.m., members of the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a dispute on Allan Street in Walsingham.

The investigation revealed that two individuals were involved in an interaction on the property, during which one person physically assaulted the other. No injuries were reported.

As a result, 31-year-old Jessica WETHERUP of Norfolk County was arrested and charged with the following alleged offence:

  • Assault.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

26 Year Old Facing Assault & Arson Charges

(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) – The South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid charges in an arson investigation in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.

On August 14, 2025, at approximately 5:16 a.m., the South Bruce OPP and Arran-Elderslie Fire & Emergency Services attended a residence in Burgoyne for an active structure fire. Officers determined that the fire had been deliberately set by an individual who was still on scene. They were taken into custody without incident.

A 26-year-old female resident of Arran-Elderslie has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Assault with a weapon, CC 267(a) – two counts
  • Arson – disregard for human life, CC 433(a)

The accused was held for a bail hearing on August 14, 2025, and subsequently remanded into custody.

2 Stabbed in Road Rage Incident

(Toronto, ON) – Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Highway Safety Division (HSD) – Toronto Detachment are investigating a road rage incident involving two motor vehicles on Highway 401 Eastbound Collectors near Brimley Rd. in the City of Toronto that resulted in two parties being stabbed.  

On Monday, August 11, 2025, at approximately 4:37 p.m., members of the Toronto Detachment were called to Highway 401 Eastbound near Brimley Rd in the City of Toronto for a road rage incident where individuals were involved in an altercation.

Prior to police arrival, all individuals had departed the scene.

The two victims had transported themselves to a local hospital where police began their investigation.

One victim, a 35-year-old, sustained serious non-life-threatening injuries and the second victim a 31-year-old sustained minor injuries.

The road rage incident involved two vehicles, a white Mercedes and a silver Mazda. Both vehicles stopped on the left shoulder of the highway, and the occupants exited their vehicles. The lone driver of the white Mercedes confronted the two occupants of the second vehicle during which both individuals were stabbed.

As a result of the investigation, Franklyn FERGUSON a 44-year-old from Toronto is charged with:

  • Assault with a weapon, section 267(a)
  • Aggravated assault, section 268
  • Assault, section 266
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, section 88 – two counts

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Toronto on October 14, 2025.

Coby FLEWELLING Was Arrested

(MUNSEE-DELAWARE FIRST NATION, ON) – Disturbance results in charges.

On August 9, 2025, at 11:08 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to a disturbance involving two individuals, on Middlemiss Drive, Munsee-Delaware First Nation.

The victim received minor injuries.

As a result, Coby FLEWELLING, a 21-year-old of Munsee-Delaware First Nation, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Assault with A Weapon
  • Assault Cause Bodily Harm – Choke, suffocate or strangle
  • Uttering Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm
  • Disobeying Order of Court

The accused was held for bail.

Shocking Video Released Of Turtle Allegedly Murdered By Maitland River – Warning: Disturbing Images

(Wingham, North Huron) – A fisherman near the site of the former Howson Dam claims to have witnessed two children killing a turtle. The individual has submitted a video, which appears to show a child torturing and killing a turtle by the Maitland River.

Christopher EMMANOUIL – Assault Police

(ESPANOLA, ON) – One person is facing charges following a report of a suspicious individual at an industrial site.

On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at approximately 3:00 p.m., the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to an industrial property located off Highway 17 in the Baldwin Township. The report indicated that a suspicious person was lingering near a vehicle on the property. Upon arrival, police directed the individual to leave the premises. Although they initially complied, they returned shortly after and refused to leave when instructed again. The individual was subsequently arrested.

As a result, Christopher EMMANOUIL, 47-years-old from Iroquois falls, was charged with:

  • Fail to leave premises when directed
  • Resist Peace Officer
  • Assault Peace Office

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on September 8, 2025.

Christopher LAMORIE – Assault With Weapon

(GRAVENHURST, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one driver after investigating a collision involving a bicycle.

On July 25, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. Bracebridge OPP officers along with Muskoka EMS, responded to reports from members of the public about a collision involving a motor vehicle and a bicycle that occurred on Pinedale Road in Gravenhurst. Callers reported that a vehicle approached the cyclist from the rear and made contact with a tire, causing the rider to be ejected. The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Police have arrested and charged 45-year-old Christopher LAMORIE, of Gravenhurst, with Assault with a Weapon, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Failure to Stop after Accident. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on August 26, 2025 to answer to his charges.

Juwon GOLDSON – Assault, Mischief, Etc.

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – One individual has been charged following a police response to a disturbance in Simcoe.

At approximately 10:39 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a disturbance on South Drive in Simcoe.

The investigation revealed that a group of individuals had been involved in an interaction at the location, during which one person physically assaulted two others. No injuries were reported.

As a result, 31-year-old Juwon GOLDSON of St. Catherines, Ontario, was arrested and charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Assault – two counts,
  • Obstruct Peace Officer,
  • Being intoxicated in public place,
  • Mischief – obstructs, interrupts or interferes with the lawful use, enjoyment, or operation of property.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

The OPP reminds community members that under the Liquor Licence and Control Act, 2019, it is illegal to be intoxicated in public places where the general public is invited or allowed access, or in any shared areas of residences with multiple dwellings.

Tracey HUDLIN – Aggravated Assault

(RUSSELL TWP, ON) – One person has been arrested and charged after an assault in in Russell Township.

On Saturday, July 19, 2025, just before 9:30 p.m., officers with the Russell County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an incident on Ste. Marie Road.

A male had suffered multiple puncture wounds to his neck. He was transported to hospital by Prescott-Russell paramedics with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers arrested an individual at the scene and transported them to the detachment.

As a result of the investigation, Tracey HUDLIN, age 55 of Russell Township, has been charged with:

  • Aggravated assault
  • Mischief – destroys or damages property

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

John James COLQUHOUN Facing Numerous Charges

(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – Police arrest man again after multiple separate occurrences reported.

On July 16, 2025, the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called by a U-Haul depot stated a person did not pay his bill and failed to return the rented trailer. Police later located the trailer which was returned to the depot and the man was arrested and charged. 

On July 17, 2025, the same man attended a restaurant on Oakland Boulevard, had a meal, then departed the establishment without paying, and assaulted an employee. He then attended a gas station convenient store on Highway 108 and stole a pack of cigarettes. The man was later arrested and charged. 

On July 18, 2025, the same man attended a camp north of Elliot Lake on Highway 639. Complainants reported the man being high on drugs and threatening to kill them. When police arrived a short time after, the man was located riding an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) in the area. He was subsequently arrested once again.

John James COLQUHOUN, 66-years-old, of Elliot Lake, was charged with:

  • Theft over $5000
  • Food and lodging fraud
  • Assault
  • Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm – four counts
  • Mischief – obstructs, interrupts, or interferes with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property
  • Assault a peace officer
  • Careless driving
  • Fail to wear proper helmet
  • Abandoning material that is likely to become litter

The accused was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Blind River on July 19, 2025.

Shane TIGHE – Assault

(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) -The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested an individual following an assault.

On July 17, 2025, shortly after 5:30 p.m., officers received a complaint regarding the incident on Elizabeth Street in the Municipality of Brighton. A dispute arose between two persons and there were no injuries reported.

As a result, Shane TIGHE (50), from the Municipality of Brighton, has been charged with:

–      Assault

The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in August.

33 Year Old From Central Huron Arrestd

(HURON EAST, ON) – On July 1st, 2025, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a matter involving intimate partners in the Municipality of Huron East.

As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had allegedly committed criminal acts against their partner.

A 33-year-old individual from Central Huron has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

–      Assault Causing Bodily Harm,

–      Assault with a Weapon,

–      Theft Under $5,000.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on July 28th, 2025.

Disturbing Smash & Assault – Suspects At Large

(NEW TECUMSETH, ON) – The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a serious assault in Tottenham.

On July 15, 2025, at approximately 2:00 a.m. officers responded to a report of a serious assault that had taken place at approximately 1:00 a.m., on Mill Street in Tottenham.

The victim was reportedly asleep in their vehicle in a parking lot when the suspects broke the vehicle window and then assaulted the victim before fleeing the scene.

The victim was discovered shortly afterward by a passerby, who contacted police. As a result of the incident, the victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital by EMS.

One suspect is described as: a white male, with blonde hair, and a nose ring.

This investigation is being led by the Nottawasaga OPP Crime Unit. Officers are requesting the public’s help in locating the individuals in connection to the assault.

Jaspreet BAINS – Assault, Hit & Run, Etc.

(GREY HIGHLANDS, ON)– An Etobicoke resident is charged following multiple reports of an erratic driver in Grey Highlands on July 14, 2025.

On July 14, 2025, at approximately 2:00 p.m., members of the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to multiple reports from concerned motorists regarding a vehicle driving erratically northbound along Highway 10 in Grey Highlands.

Witnesses described the vehicle weaving dangerously through traffic and causing damage to several vehicles. Officers quickly located the suspect vehicle on Highway 6-10, just north of Chatsworth. The driver was taken into custody.

Jaspreet BAINS, 31-years-old, of Etobicoke, has been charged with the following Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act offences:

  • Dangerous Operation, CC
  • Flight from Peace Officer, CC
  • Operation While Impaired, CC
  • Assault Peace Officer, CC (Two Counts)
  • Drive Motor Vehicle – Fail to Display Two Plates, HTA
  • Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt, HTA
  • Fail to Stop for Police, HTA

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on August 27, 2025.

Paul JOHNSON – Assault With Weapon, Etc.

(Prince Edward County, ON) – Members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested an individual in response to a weapons related incident in Picton.

On Friday, July 11, 2025, around 5:30 p.m. officers responded to a report of a male running through Picton wielding a knife at members of the public. Officers promptly located the individual and arrested them. As a result, no members of the public were injured.

Paul JOHNSON, age 35 of Picton, has been charged with:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Assault with intent to resist arrest
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Possession of a a prohibited device

This accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on July 14, 2025.
