(TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) -The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charge a Palmerston resident with several charges stemming from a traffic stop.
On February 14, 2025, at approximately 10:15 p.m., a member of the Wellington County OPP conducted a traffic stop on Sligo Road in Mount Forest.
As a result of the investigation, Mitchell James Kaye, a 28-year-old resident of Palmerston is charged with:
- Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Speeding
- Driving Motor Vehicle with liquor readily available
- Drive Motor Vehicle-Fail to display two plates
- Fail to surrender insurance card
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on February 25, 2025.
