Meagan Coote Wanted in an Aggravated Assault Investigation

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a woman wanted in an Aggravated Assault investigation. 

On Friday, December 27, 2024, at approximately 3:36 a.m., police responded to a call for a Stabbing in the Queen Street West and Beaty Avenue area.

It is alleged that:

  • the suspect broke into a residential apartment unit
  • the suspect was armed with a weapon, and stabbed the victim multiple times
  • the victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries
  • the suspect left on foot in an unknown direction of travel

Meagan Coote, 43, of no fixed address is wanted for:

  1. Break and Enter
  2. two counts of Assault with a Weapon
  3. Aggravated Assault
  4. Disobey Lawful Order of Court

She is described as 5’6”, with a medium build, has dirty blonde hair, and light coloured eyes. She was last seen wearing a tan coloured jacket and a light brown knitted scarf.

Pyjama Pants Escapes Police Custody

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance identifying a suspect wanted in an assault investigation.

On Sunday, December 15, 2024, at approximately 5:55 p.m., police responded to a call for a Person  with a Knife in the York Mills Road and Yonge Street area.

It is reported that:

  • the suspect and victim got into a dispute after exiting the subway station on Yonge Street
  • the suspect assaulted the victim
  • officers attended and investigated both parties
  • the suspect fled police custody after being arrested 

The suspect is described as approximately 20-years old, with black curly hair.  He was last seen wearing a black puffy jacket with a white “North Face” logo on the rear right shoulder, red hoodie, black neck warmer, black and white checkered pyjama pants, and white sneakers.

Investigators are asking for anyone that witnessed the incident or has in car camera footage to please contact police.

Fatal Drive By Shooting

The Toronto Police Service is updating the public on a Homicide investigation.

On Thursday, December 19, 2024, at approximately 12:13 a.m., police responded to a call for a Shooting that occurred at the intersection of Eglinton Avenue East and Markham Road.

It is reported that:

  • the victim was walking in the area when he was shot by suspect(s) that were travelling in a vehicle
  • officers arrived on scene and located the male victim who had been shot
  • life-saving measures were performed, and the victim was transported to hospital by paramedics
  • the victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital

The victim has been identified as Adam Christopher Moncrieffe, 34, of Toronto.

It is further reported that:

  • the suspect vehicle was driving around the Scarborough Village Neighbourhood before the shooting took place at Eglinton Avenue East and Markham Road
  • after the shooting, the suspect vehicle was seen fleeing southbound on Markham Road

The suspect vehicle is described as a newer model white Honda CRV with dark rims.

Images of the vehicle have been released.

Investigators are looking to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the shooting and may have seen this vehicle. Police are also asking anyone with dashcam footage of the vehicle or of the shooting to contact investigators.

Another Pedestrian Struck

On Thursday, December 19, 2024, at approximately 9:22 p.m., police responded to a Personal Injury Collision in the Lawrence Avenue East and Don Mills Road area.

It is alleged that;

  • a 34-year-old female was operating a silver Toyota sedan westbound on Lawrence Avenue East
  • a 50-year-old male pedestrian was crossing from the south side to the north side on the west crosswalk on Lawrence Avenue East
  • the driver of the Toyota Sedan struck the pedestrian
  • the male pedestrian was transported to a local trauma centre in life-threatening condition
  • the driver of the Toyota remained at the scene

The investigation is ongoing by members of Traffic Services.

Police are asking local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.

Wanted: Assault With Weapon

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance identifying a man wanted in an Assault with a Weapon investigation.

On Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 7:00 p.m., police responded to a Call for a Person with a Knife on board a TTC bus near Victoria Park Station.

It is reported that:

  • a man approached the victim on the TTC bus
  • the man pulled out a knife and threatened the victim in an attempt to rob them
  • the man was unable to obtain anything from the victim
  • the victim exited the bus
  • the man fled in an unknown direction

The man is described as 30-40 years old, 5’10” tall, 165 lbs., with brown hair. He was wearing a black toque, brown jacket, gray sweater, black shirt, blue jeans and carrying a black backpack.

Graham Dorrington Was Arrested Again

It is reported that:

  • On Sunday, December 15, 2024 between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m., a man broke into a series of commercial properties in the area of Kingston Road and Main Street
  • the man fled the area in an unknown direction

Graham Dorrington, 55, of Toronto has been identified and is wanted for:

  1. Two counts of Break and Enter to Commit
  2. Attempt to Commit a Dual Procedure Offence
  3. Five counts of Fail to Comply with Release order

He is described as 5’10”, 190 lbs., with a medium build. He was wearing a black toque, black jacket, a white hooded sweater, gray pants and gray shoes.

16 Year Old Pedestrain Suffers Life Threatening Injuries

On Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at approximately 7:15 a.m., police responded to a call for a Personal Injury Collision in the Blakemanor Road and Markham Road area.

It is reported that:

  • an 84-year-old man was driving a gray 2012 Ford pick-up truck northbound on Markham Road
  • a 16-year-old girl was struck by the truck as she crossed Markham Road from the eastside to the westside of the street
  • the girl was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries
  • the driver remained on scene

The investigation is ongoing by members of Traffic Services.

Police are asking local residents, business and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.

Drugs & Firearms Bust

The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of two arrests made in a Drug Trafficking and Firearm investigation.

It is alleged that:

  • a man and a youth were involved in trafficking illicit drugs throughout the city and were in possession of an illegal firearm

It is further alleged that:

  • On Tuesday, December 17, 2024, members of the Toronto Police Drug Squad executed a search warrant at a residence
  • a loaded Glock 43 semiautomatic handgun, approximately 1670 grams of cocaine, 40 grams of crack cocaine, approximately 12 grams of fentanyl, approximately 133 grams of psilocybin, $7,590 CAD, $100 USD, a taser, three cell phones, packaging and digital scales were located and seized

Michael-Ryan Bond, 37, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with:

  1. Three Counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
  2. Possession Schedule III Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
  3. Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5000
  4. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  5. Possession of Firearm Knowing Possession is Unauthorized
  6. Careless Storage of a Firearm
  7. Possession of Prohibited Weapon

He was scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 10 a.m., in room 402.

A male youth, 17*, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with:

  1. Three Counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
  2. Possession of a Schedule III Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
  3. Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5000
  4. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm 
  5. Possession of a Firearm Knowing Possession is Unauthorized
  6. Careless Storage of a Firearm
  7. Possession of prohibited weapon
  8. Possession of a Firearm While Prohibited

He was scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 10 a.m., in room 105.

Man Wanted in Assault with a Weapon Investigation

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a man wanted in an Assault with a Weapon investigation.

On Thursday, December 12, 2024, at approximately 3:30 p.m., police responded to a call for an Assault in the Bay Street and Gardiner Expressway area.

It is alleged that:

  • a security guard was working at the Scotiabank Arena 
  • the security guard asked a male to leave
  • the male later returned to the arena
  • the male then located the security guard and assaulted him with a blunt object
  • the security guard was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries

Lionel Vernon, 41, of Toronto, is wanted for:

  1. Aggravated Assault

The man is described as 6’2″, 220 lbs., medium build, bald, and black/grey facial hair. He was wearing a blue hooded sweater, a green camouflage jacket, blue jeans, anld black/white shoes.

Cocaine Bust

The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of arrests made in a Drug Trafficking and Firearm investigation.

On Monday, December 16, 2024, officers from the TPS Drug Squad arrested two men in relation to a Drug Trafficking and Firearm investigation in Toronto.

It is alleged that:

  • both the accused were involved in the trafficking of cocaine throughout Toronto
  • one of the accused was also in possession of an illegal firearm and had additional illicit drugs in their possession

Sarkis Yildirim, 68, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with:

  1. two counts of Traffic in Schedule I Substance
  2. Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000

He appeared in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 10 a.m., in room 402.

Subsequent to the first arrest, police executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant on a residence in the Sheppard Avenue East and Birchmount Road area. As a result, the second accused was arrested, and the following items were seized:

  • Berretta 9mm APX semiautomatic handgun with two magazines loaded with 10 rounds of ammunition
  • approximately 56g of fentanyl 
  • approximately 22g of cocaine
  • $1140 of Canadian currency
  • bulletproof vest
  • digital scales

Nathaniel Reid-Doyle 25, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with:

  1. Trafficking Schedule I Substance
  2. three counts of Possession Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
  3. Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000
  4. Possess Restricted or Prohibited Firearm Without Holding a License and Registration Certificate
  5. Possess Firearm Other Than Restricted or Prohibited Firearm Knowingly not Holding a License
  6. Possess Restricted Weapon Device Knowing no Authority
  7. Possess Loaded Regulated Firearm
  8. Possess Firearm with Altered Serial Number
  9. Careless Storage of Firearm
  10. Careless Storage of Ammunition

He appeared in court at Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 10 a.m., in room 402.

On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at approximately 11:30 p.m., police responded to a call for a Robbery in the Dawes Road and Victoria Park Avenue area.

It is alleged that:

  • two male suspects forced entry into an apartment
  • once inside, the suspects made a demand for personal property 
  • the two suspects then assaulted two victims inside the unit
  • the suspects fled the apartment 
  • the two victims sustained minor injuries 

On Saturday, December 14, 2024, Masoud Ebrahimi, 32, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

  1. Break and Enter
  2. Robbery with Violence
  3. two counts Utter Threats Cause Death
  4. Forcible Confinement
  5. Assault
  6. Assault – Choking
  7. Fail to Comply Release Order

He is scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 10 a.m., in room 403.

The outstanding suspect is described as male, 5’6″, 40-50 years old, thin build with short hair and unshaven.

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance with identifying a man wanted in a Sexual Assault investigation.

On Saturday, October 19, 2024, police were made aware of a Sexual Assault that occurred in the Yonge Street and Dundas Street East area.

It is reported that:

  • On Friday, October 18, 2024, at approximately 8:05 p.m., the victim was in the area
  • the victim realized the suspect was following her
  • when the victim stopped at a stop light, the suspect sexually assaulted her
  • the suspect then fled the area

The suspect is described as male, 5’7″, medium build with black facial hair. He was wearing a red jacket, a white/black baseball hat and blue pants.

Two Men Arrested and Gun Seized in Theft of Vehicle Investigation,Warden Avenue and Bridletowne Circle area

The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of an arrest made in a Theft of Motor Vehicle investigation.

On Thursday, December 12, 2024, at approximately 12 p.m., police responded to a call for a located stolen vehicle in the Warden Avenue and Bridletowne Circle area.

It is alleged that:

  • officers received a call for a stolen vehicle in the area
  • officers attended and blocked the vehicle in a parking spot
  • the driver of the vehicle then collided with an unmarked police vehicle
  • the two suspects then attempted to flee the area on foot
  • after a foot pursuit, officers arrested both parties

It is further alleged that:

  • a firearm and magazine were located on one of the suspects
  • tools used in the commission of auto thefts were also located

Pervert Alert – Bruno Amezcua

The Toronto Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Section (ICE) is notifying the public of an arrest made in a Child Sexual Abuse Material investigation.

On Tuesday, April 23, 2024, as part of an investigation into the downloading of child sexual abuse material, members of ICE executed a Criminal Code search warrant in the McCown Road and Ellesmere Road area.

As a result, on Thursday, May 9, 2024, Bruno Amezcua, 50, of Toronto was arrested and charged with:

  1. Possession of Child Pornography
  2. Access Child Pornography

He was scheduled to appear in court at the Ontario Court of Justice, 10 Armory Street, on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 10 a.m., in room 103.
