Two Arrested After AI Alerts Police

(STRATHROY-CARADOC, ON) – Automatic Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) system assists officer in stopping and charging a driver and passengers.

On December 7, 2025, at 4:13 p.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), while on general patrol on Longwoods Road in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc, was alerted by the Automatic Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) system, of a possible suspended driver.

A traffic stop was initiated.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

A search of the vehicle revealed a firearm and ammunition.

As a result, Kyrien GOLAY-LAUSANNE, a 25-year-old of London, has been charged under Criminal Code, and Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Unauthorized Poss of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Prohibited device or ammunition at unauthorized place
  • Use plate not authorized for vehicle
  • Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero
  • Driver fail to surrender licence

The passengers, Barry STURGEON, a 22-year-old of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation, and Sierra BOUDREAU, a 23-year-old of London, have been charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Unauthorized Poss of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Prohibited device or ammunition at unauthorized place

All three accused have been released from police custody and are scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in London on January 27, 2026, to speak to the charges.

The In Car Camera and ALPR have been operating in Middlesex County OPP vehicles since March 13, 2023. Middlesex OPP officers continue to see drivers operating vehicles that do not have valid, registered licence plates, are currently driving unlicenced, while under suspension or prohibited.

Kyle CUTLER – Drunk Driving

(STRATHROY-CARADOC, ON) – Driver facing impaired charge after traffic stop.

On November 2, 2025, at 1:41 a.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol on Glendon Drive in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc, observed a suspicious vehicle, at which time a traffic stop was initiated.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

As a result, Kyle CUTLER, a 31-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in London on December 1, 2025, to speak to the charges.

Wanted: Police Urge Dwayne Hurley to Surrender #EasyWayOrHardWay?

The Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service currently holds an Arrest Warrant for Dwayne HURLEY – 49 years old.

SCPS is urging HURLEY to turn himself in immediately to the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service located at 299 Frances Street.

Alexander CARMICHAEL Was Arrested

(STRATHROY CARADOC, ON) – Driver charged with refusal in OPP RIDE Program.

On September 6, 2025, at 9:34 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police were engaged in a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program on Highway 402 in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc.

A vehicle entered the RIDE Program at which time a traffic stop was initiated.

It was determined the driver had previously consumed alcohol. An Approved Screening Device (ASD) was utilized. The driver refused to provide a sample, was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

As a result, Alexander CARMICHAEL, a 33-year-old of Middlesex Centre, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Failure or refusal to comply with demand

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on October 6, 2025.

Keanna ALATE Arrested Following Collision

(STRATHROY-CARADOC, ON) – Driver charged with Impaired after vehicle enters ditch on Highway 402.

On July 11, 2025, at 6:31 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to the Westbound lanes of Highway 402 in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc, for the report single vehicle collision at the Longwoods Road on-ramp.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP Detachment.

As a result, Keanna ALATE, a 28-year-old of Ingersoll has been charged under the Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle

·      Fail to have insurance card

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on August 25, 2025.

Derek DISEPOLO Was Arrested Again!

(STRATHROY-CARADOC, ON) – Routine traffic stop leads to multiple charges for driver.

On August 11, 2024, at 4:06 a.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol, observed a suspicious vehicle on Head Street North, while travelling through Strathroy in Strathroy-Caradoc.

A traffic stop was initiated.

As a result, Derek DISEPOLO, a 50-year-old of Adelaide Metcalfe, has been charged under the Criminal Code and the Highway Traffic Act with:

·      Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code (two counts)

·      Driving while under suspension (five counts)

The accused has been released from police custody and is and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on September 24, 2024, to speak to the charges.

Deanna ELABD Was Arrested

(STRATHROY-CARADOC, ON) – Driver charged with Impaired after single vehicle rollover on Highway 402.

On June 22, 2024, at 9:08 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex-London Paramedic Service and local fire were dispatched to the Eastbound lanes of Highway 402 in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc, for the report of a vehicle that left the highway and rolled.

It was determined the driver had previously consumed alcohol. An Approved Screening Device (ASD) was utilized. The driver was arrested and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment where further tests were administered.

As a result, Deanna ELABD, a 26-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on August 20, 2024.

20 Year Old Arrested – Name Released

(STRATHROY-CARADOC, ON) – Alert Middlesex County OPP Officer, while on general patrol locates impaired driver.

On March 31, 2024, at 1:25 a.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), while on general patrol, observed a suspicious vehicle travelling on Muncey Road in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc.

A traffic stop was initiated.

It was determined the driver had previously consumed alcohol. An Approved Screening Device (ASD) was utilized. The driver was arrested and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment where further tests were administered.

As a result, Amelia ELIJAH, a 20-year-old of Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation, has been charged under the Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act, Liquor Licence Control Act and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Drive motor vehicle – no licence

·      Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle

·      Use plate not authorized for vehicle

·      Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available

·      Fail to surrender insurance card

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on May 28, 2024.

Shannon CHURCHILL – Drunk Driving

(STRATHROY-CARADOC ON) – A Strathroy resident has been charged with Impaired Operation following a traffic stop in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc.

On March 2, 2024, at 7:04 p.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol on Calvert Drive in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc, observed a suspicious vehicle at which time a traffic stop was initiated.

It was determined the driver had previously consumed alcohol. An Approved Screening Device (ASD) was utilized. The driver was arrested and transported to the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service detachment where further tests were administered.

As a result, Shannon CHURCHILL, a 53-year-old of Strathroy, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on April 29, 2024.
