21 Year Old Arrested After Pedestrian Incident

(BROCKTON, ON) – On March 7, 2025, at approximately 7:50 a.m., the South Bruce and Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with the Arran-Elderslie Fire Department, and Bruce County Paramedic Services responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on the Grey Bruce Line between Concession 2 and Concession 4, Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.

A 28-year-old pedestrian from Aurora was transported to a trauma centre with life threatening injuries.

After a thorough investigation by the South Bruce OPP, West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team, with assistance from the Ministry of Labour, a 21-year-old resident of Owen Sound has been charged with:

  • Careless driving causing bodily harm, HTA 130(3)

The accused is set to appear at the Walkerton Ontario Provincial Offences Court on October 7, 2025, to answer to the charge.

Mildmay Repeat Offender Arrested Again – Name Released #3Strikes

(SOUTH BRUCE, ON) – On August 27, 2025, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of overnight break and enters to two adjacent business properties along Highway 9 in Mildmay, Municipality of South Bruce.

Police attended the locations and observed damages caused by the break-in and took inventory of items which were stolen. Shortly after police departed, an individual attended the location wearing items which were stolen from the break-in. Police were again contacted, reattended and took this individual into custody.

Elias LUEDKE, 21-years-old, resident of Mildmay, was charged with:

  • Break, enter a place – commit indictable offence, CC 348(1)(b) – two counts
  • Possession of property obtained by crime, CC 354(1)(a)
  • Fail to comply with probation, CC 733.1(1)

The accused is set to appear at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice on October 1, 2025, to answer to the charges.

56 Year Old Arrested In South Bruce – REED

(SOUTH BRUCE, ON) – On August 24, 2025, at approximately 11:22 a.m., a member of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) West Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team stopped to check a vehicle along Bruce Road 6, Municipality of South Bruce.

A roadside screening device was administered, resulting in a fail. The driver was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the South Bruce OPP detachment for further testing.

Robert REED, 56-years-old, resident of Flesherton, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – B.A.C. 80+, CC 320.14(1)(b)

The accused is set to appear at the Walkerton Court of Justice on September 10, 2025, to answer to the charge.

Daniel MCCHLERY From Wingham Arrested

(SOUTH BRUCE, ON) – On August 24, 2025, at approximately 4:17 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a vehicle parked in a live lane of traffic along Bruce Road 4, Municipality of South Bruce.

Officers attended the location and found the vehicle parked in the southbound lane with no lights on. After conversing with the driver, police detected signs of impairment. The driver was taken into custody and taken to a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) officer for further testing.

Daniel MCCHLERY, 34-years-old, resident of Wingham, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired, CC 320.14(1)(a)

The accused is set to appear at the Walkerton Court of Justice on October 22, 2025, to answer to the charge.

Collision Near Teeswater – 1 Airlifted To London

(SOUTH BRUCE, ON) – The South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently on scene investigating a serious motor vehicle collision in South Bruce.

On July 16, 2025, at approximately 7:05 a.m., police received a report of a collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Concession 4 and Sideroad 20 in the Municipality of South Bruce. One of the involved drivers has been transported to a London area trauma centre by Ornge Air Ambulance.

The intersection of Concession 4 and Sideroad 20 is closed for the investigation. The closure will remain in effect for an undetermined time. Updates to follow when available.

One Dead In Canoe Incident

(SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On Monday, July 14, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., members of the Grey Bruce Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), South Bruce Peninsula Fire Department and Bruce County Paramedic Services, responded to a report of a capsized canoe on Lake Huron, near Howdenvale.

Three individuals were canoeing when their vessel overturned. Two individuals managed to swim safely to shore. A third individual, a 32-year-old male, did not immediately resurface.

Bystanders were able to recover the male from the water and attempted to administer CPR. Upon the arrival of emergency responders, he was then transported to hospital by EMS, where he was pronounced deceased.

Grey Bruce OPP would like to thank all members of the public and emergency responders who provided assistance.

Collision Near Teeswater

(SOUTH BRUCE, ON) – On July 5, 2025, at approximately 10:07 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision along Concession 4, East of Teeswater in the Municipality of South Bruce.

Officers attended the location with South Bruce Fire Rescue and Bruce County Paramedic Services. Investigation revealed that an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) was struck by a passenger vehicle, the operator was ejected. The operator was transported to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries. The roadway was closed for a short period of time.

The ATV operator, a 56-year-old resident of South Bruce was charged with:

  • Fail to yield from driveway, HTA 139(1)
  • Driver – no helmet, HTAReg 316 19(1)

MCGRATH Facing Numerous Charges

(SOUTH BRUCE, ON) – On May 28, 2025, at approximately 7:56 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint for a vehicle along Sideroad 20, Municipality of South Bruce.

Police attended the area and located the vehicle. While speaking with the driver, the investigating officer detected signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and transported for further testing.

Andrew MCGRATH, 28-years-old, resident of South Bruce, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired, CC 320.14(1)(a)
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand, CC 320.15(1)
  • Dangerous operation, CC 320.13(1)
  • Operate a motor vehicle without insurance, CAIA 2(1)(a)
  • Drive motor vehicle – no licence, HTA 32(1)
  • Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero, HTA 44.1(3)
  • Drive motor vehicle – no plates, HTA 7(1)(b)(i)
  • Operate unsafe vehicle, HTA 84(1)
  • G1 licence holder unaccompanied by qualified driver, HTA O.Reg 340/94 5(1)
  • Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor, LLCA 42(1)(a)

The accused is set to appear on July 2, 2025, at the Walkerton Court of Justice to answer to the charges.

Francis REINHART Was Arrested Again

(SOUTH BRUCE, ON) – On June 1, 2025, at approximately 11:58 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a dispute at a property along Concession 4, Municipality of South Bruce.

Police attended and learned that the accused had been operating a motor vehicle in contravention of prior conditions of release. The individual was placed under arrest and transported to detachment.

Francis REINHART, 33-years-old, resident of South Bruce, was charged with:

  • Operation while prohibited, CC 320.18(1)(a) – three counts
  • Fail to comply with probation, CC 733.1(1)
  • Driving while under suspension, HTA 53(1) – four counts
  • Use plate not authorized for vehicle, HTA 12(1)(d)

The accused was held for a bail hearing and subsequently remanded into custody.

(SOUTHERN BRUCE COUNTY, ON) – The South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are seeking public assistance to locate a missing person.

The South Bruce OPP previously received a report that Julianna (Julie), 56 years-of-age is missing from the Huron-Kinloss area, and continue public appeal to confirm her well being.

Julianna is described as:

  • 5’5″ tall
  • 180 pounds
  • Heavy build
  • Brown hair (possibly dyed blonde)
  • Blue eyes

One Airlifted To Hospital Following Workplace Incident

(SOUTH BRUCE, ON) – On April 29, 2025, at approximately 9:25 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Bruce County Paramedic Services, and South Bruce Fire Rescue Service attended a business address along Bruce Road 3 in the Municipality of South Bruce for a workplace incident.

As a result of the incident, a 23-year-old resident of West Grey was transported by Air Ornge to a trauma centre in London with serious injuries.

The Ministry of Labour (MOL) has been notified and will continue the investigation.

One From Central Huron Arrested

(SOUTH BRUCE, ON) – On March 13, 2025, at approximately 2:30 p.m., a member of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped to check a vehicle along James Street West, Municipality of South Bruce.

The investigating officer detected signs of impairment from the involved driver. The driver was placed under arrest and transported for further testing.

Korbin KNIGHTS, 34-years-old, of Central Huron, was charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), CC 320.14(1)(b)

The accused is set to appear at the Walkerton Court of Justice on May 7, 2025 to answer to the charge.

20 Year Old Arrested In South Bruce

(SOUTH BRUCE, ON) – On March 9, 2025, a member of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting stationary radar enforcement along Bruce Road 3 in the Municipality of South Bruce.

At approximately 1:27 p.m., the officer observed a motor vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed in the posted 60 km/h zone, to which a traffic stop was initiated.

As a result of the investigation, a 20-year-old motorist from Mississauga was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with the following:

  • Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt, HTA 172(1)
  • Drive Motor Vehicle – Fail to display two plates, HTA 7(1)(b)(i)
  • Fail to surrender permit, HTA 7(5)(a)

Anyone charged with stunt driving receives a 14-day vehicle impoundment and a 30-day driver’s licence suspension.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Provincial Offences Court – Walkerton, at a later date.

Snowmobile Collision: 21 Year Old Sustains Serious Injuries

(SOUTH BRUCE, ON) – On January 18, 2025, at approximately 11:46 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a collision involving a snowmobile along Concession 8, Municipality of South Bruce.

Members of the South Bruce OPP attended the area with Paramedic Services and located a single snowmobile involved, a short distance off the roadway.

A 21-year-old female operator sustained serious injuries and was transported to a London area trauma centre.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the South Bruce OPP.

19 Year Old Repeat Offender Arrested Near Chepstow

(SOUTH BRUCE, ON) – South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), West Region OPP K-9, and OPP Aviation Unit responded to a weapons incident in the Municipality of Brockton in Greenock Township just after 2:00 p.m. on January 11th, 2025.  

One individual was located in an isolated area along Schmidt Lake Road and taken into custody without incident.

As a result of the investigation, Logan VIENNEAU, 19-years-old of Arran-Elderslie has been charged with:

·      Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, CC 91(1)

·      Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was a prohibited or restricted weapon, CC 94

·      Failure to comply with release order, CC 145(5)(a) – three counts

·      Fail to comply with probation order, CC 733.1(1)

·      Possession of a schedule I substance, CDSA 4(1)

The accused was held for a bail hearing and subsequently remanded into custody.
