Robert TEMPLETON Arrested At RIDE

(BROCKTON, ON) – On July 4, 2025, at approximately 1:20 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) along Durham Street East, Municipality of Brockton.

A vehicle entered the area where police then spoke with the driver. The investigating officer detected signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and transported for further testing.

Robert TEMPLETON, 24-years-old, resident of Cambridge, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – B.A.C. 80 plus, CC 320.14(1)(b)

The accused is set to appear on August 13, 2025, at the Walkerton Court of Justice to answer to the charges.

5 Kilo Cocaine Bust

(WINDSOR, ON) – One individual has been charged after an intelligence-led drug trafficking investigation results in the seizure of approximately five kilograms of suspected cocaine in Essex County.

In April 2024, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) began a drug trafficking investigation in collaboration with OPP members assigned to the Border Enforcement Security Task Force (BEST) in Windsor, with support from the Windsor Police Service and Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).

On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, OPP BEST and Essex County OPP members conducted a traffic stop in Essex County. As a result, the following items were seized:

  • Approximately five kilograms of suspected cocaine
  • Three cell phones
  • $460 in Canadian currency

As a result of the investigation, Seimon HANNA, age 37 of Windsor, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on August 18, 2025.

Brian BAXTER – Child Sexual Assault

(PEMBROKE, ON) -The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested an individual in connection with multiple sexual offences in Pembroke.

In early June, the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Crime Unit launched an investigation following allegations that a Pembroke resident engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct involving youth under the age of 16.

On Thursday, July 3, 2025, as a result of the investigation, Brian BAXTER, age 75 of Pembroke, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Sexual Interference – two counts
  • Sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age – two counts

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on Tuesday, July 8, 2025.

A sexual offence can be reported to police no matter how long ago it happened. Yvan Leclair – Drug Trafficking

(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) – An early morning RIDE program by members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) resulted in an individual being arrested and charged.

Officers were conducting a RIDE program on Highway 62 at County Road 3 at 3:00 a.m. on July 1, 2025. A vehicle entered the RIDE program and officers conducted an investigation.

As a result, an individual was arrested, and officers seized a quantity of suspected cocaine.

Yvan Leclair, age 56 from Tyendinaga was charged with possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking.

The accused were released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

95 Year Old Victimized – Leroy FOSTER & Aqeal KISUN-JOHNSON Arrested

(CHATSWORTH, ON) – The Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested two individuals in connection with an attempted “grandparent scam” targeting a vulnerable senior in the Township of Chatsworth.

On June 24, 2025, a local 95-year-old resident received a phone call from a male claiming to be her grandson in distress, followed by another male posing as a lawyer. The suspects attempted to convince the victim to withdraw money for legal fees. Fortunately, a family member recognized the scam and contacted police. No money was exchanged, and no personal financial information was shared.

Two days later, on June 26, the same victim received another call from a person claiming to be her son, alleging he had been involved in a serious accident and needed $58,000 for legal representation. The suspects advised that someone would attend the residence to collect the money.

Thanks to the quick thinking of a family member, police were notified immediately. Officers responded to the scene and arrested two males upon arrival.

The following individuals have been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

Leroy FOSTER, 28-year-old of Shelburne:

·      Fraud Over $5,000

·      Disguise with Intent

Aqeal KISUN-JOHNSON, 24-year-old of Shelburne

·      Fraud Over $5,000

Both accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in court on August 7, 2025 in the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound.

8 More Impaired Drivers Arrested

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – Eight individuals have been charged as a result of separate impaired driving-related incidents over a one-week period.

At approximately 10:22 p.m. on Sunday, June 22, 2025, a Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer conducted a traffic stop and began an investigation on James Street in Delhi.

Following the interaction, the driver was taken into custody without incident.

As result, 33-year-old Viktor SEMCHYK from Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offence:

  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.

At approximately 2:09 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, the Norfolk County OPP responded to a collision between a sport utility vehicle (SUV) and a sedan on Indian Line near Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation. No injuries were reported.

After conducting a roadside sobriety test, officers took the driver of the sedan into custody without incident.

As a result, 25-year-old Keenan BARNES from Brantford, Ontario, has been charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus),
  • Dangerous operation,
  • Failure to comply with Release Order – other than to attend court – two counts.

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Wednesday, July 3, 2025.

At approximately 10:16 p.m. on that same day, a Norfolk County OPP officer conducted a traffic stop and began an investigation on Donjon Boulevard in Port Dover.

After conducting a roadside sobriety test, the officer took the driver into custody without incident.

As a result, 26-year-old Gabriel BOODOO from Toronto, Ontario, has been charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drug,
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus),
  • Operate a motor vehicle without insurance.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.

At approximately 1:31 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, Norfolk County OPP officers were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program on Cockshutt Road in Simcoe when they stopped a vehicle and conducted a sobriety assessment of the driver.

As a result of the interaction, the driver was taken into custody without incident.

20-year-old Chase BACHER from Haldimand County has been charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus),
  • Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.

At approximately 8:05 p.m. that same day, the Norfolk County OPP responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding a suspected impaired driver on Howard Street in Waterford.

Officers located the vehicle and, following an interaction with the driver, took the individual into custody without incident.

As a result, 39-year-old Thomas FEATHERSTONE from Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs,
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, July 8, 2025.

At approximately 9:18 p.m. that same day, the Norfolk County OPP responded t oa similar call on Cedar Drive in Turkey Point.

Officers located the vehicle and, following an interaction with the driver, took the individual into custody without incident.

As a result, 54-year-old Donald MACKEY from Cambridge, Ontario, has been charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs,
  • Operation while prohibited – legal restriction from any other act of parliament or provincial law,
  • Drive motor vehicle – no licence.

The accused is schedule to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.

At approximately 1:36 a.m. on Sunday, June 29, 2025, the Norfolk County OPP responded a single-vehicle collision involving an SUV on Highway 3 in Delhi. Minor injuries were reported.

Following an interaction with the driver, the individual was taken into custody without incident.

As a result, 29-year-old Michaela HEALEY from Oxford County has been charged with the following alleged offence:

  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

At approximately 3:43 p.m. that same day, the Norfolk County OPP responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a pair of sedans on Thompson Road West in Waterford. No injuries were reported.

Following a roadside sobriety test, one of the drivers was taken into custody without incident.

As a result, 25-year-old Zachary MACKINNON from Brantford, Ontario, has been charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus),
  • Dangerous operation,
  • Obstruct plate,
  • Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.

Livestock Fraud – Stephanie REDLICK

(MIDLAND, ON) – A livestock fraud investigation originating in Tay Township has resulted in livestock related fraud charges for a North York resident.

Members of the Crime Unit attached to the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) initiated a fraud investigation in February 2025 in relation to a complaint involving transportation and financial irregularities of livestock being transported from a farm in Tay Township and and sold at a Cookstown stockyard sale in September of 2024.

Through investigation, a suspect who was known to police was identified and a warrant for the arrest of the suspect was issued upon the completion of the investigation. An interaction on June 27, 2025, resulted in the warrant being acted upon by Toronto Police Service with an arrest.

Charged in relation to this investigation is Stephanie REDLICK 28 years of North York with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

  • Obtaining by False Pretence – Over $5000
  • Fraud Over $5000
  • Theft Over $5000
  • Make Forged Document

The accused has been released and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice  on July 24, 2025.

James WOODS Facing Numerous Charges #RepeatOffender

(WELLINGTON NORTH TWP, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two-motor vehicle collision on Highway 6, sending one to hospital.

On July 3, 2025, at approximately 7:00 a.m., the Wellington County OPP, alongside local emergency services, responded to a report of a two-motor vehicle collision on Highway 6 within Arthur.

Highway 6, between Conestoga Street North and Preston Street North within Arthur was closed as a result of the collision for several hours but has since reopened.

One driver was taken into custody, and another driver was taken to local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result of the investigation, James WOODS, a 25-year-old from CONN is charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with the following:

  • Dangerous Operation causing bodily harm
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Fail to remain
  • Operation while prohibited under the criminal code
  • Drive motor vehicle – not equipped with ignition interlock device

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a 45-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on July 18, 2025.

Fatal E-Scooter Collision

(QUINTE WEST, ON) – The operator of an e-scooter has died following a collision in Quinte West.

On Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers from the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Hastings Quinte EMS responded to a collision involving a passenger vehicle and an e-scooter on Stockdale Road, Quinte West.

The 36-year-old operator of the e-scooter was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased.     

OPP Technical Collision Investigators attended the scene and continue to assist with the ongoing investigation.

3 More Impaired Drivers Arrested

(LANARK COUNTY, ON) – – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged residents from Mississippi Mills Township, Lanark Highlands Township as well as Carleton Place with impaired driving.

Officers investigated three incidents over the long weekend which resulted in three people being charged with impaired driving.

The officers located the vehicles, arrested the drivers, and transported the individuals to the Lanark OPP Detachment for testing.

As a result of the investigations, John SONNENBURG, 28-years-old, of Mississippi Mills Township, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on July 28, 2025

John MITCHELL, 36-years-old, of Lanark Highlands Township, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on July 28, 2025

Samantha GORDON, 37-years-old, of Perth, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

·        Driving while under suspension – two counts.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on August 11, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Drug Bust – DEVLIN & SCHERTZBURG

(BRANT,ON) – The Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), in partnership with members from Oxford, Middlesex, and Elgin CSCU, as well as the OPP’s Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) and Brant County uniform officers, have laid multiple charges following the execution of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence in Paris, Ontario.

On July 3, 2025, officers executed the search warrant as part of an ongoing investigation into suspected drug trafficking activity. Two individuals were arrested at the scene.

As a result of the investigation:

Chris DEVLIN, 46 years old, from Paris, has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

DEVLIN was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Kate-Lynn SCHERTZBURG, 34 years old, from Brantford, has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

SCHERTZBURG was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

During the search, officers seized:

  • A quantity of fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine valued at approximately $4,270
  • $1,030 in Canadian currency
  • A digital scale and packaging material

The total estimated value of the seized drugs and currency is approximately $5,300.

The investigation highlights the OPP’s continued efforts to disrupt drug trafficking networks in our communities and keep dangerous substances off the streets.

Trent FOX Was Arrested

(LEAMINGTON, ON) – One person has been charged following a traffic stop in Leamington.

On July 2, 2025, at approximately 9:19 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop Highway #3 in the Town of Leamington.

Trent FOX, 27-years-old of Chatham, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Failure of refusal to comply with demand
  • Dangerous operation
  • Resist Peace Officer

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on July 16, 2025, to answer to the charges.

Collision Sends One To Hospital

(WELLINGTON NORTH TWP, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two-motor vehicle collision on Highway 6, sending one to hospital.

On July 3, 2025, at approximately 7:00 a.m., the Wellington County OPP, alongside local emergency services, responded to a report of a two-motor vehicle collision on Highway 6 within Arthur.

Highway 6, between Conestoga Street North and Preston Street North within Arthur is closed as a result of the collision.

(LAKESHORE, ON) – One person has been charged following a traffic complaint in Lakeshore.

On June 27, 2025, at approximately 3:20 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint on Manning Road near Highway #3 in the Municipality of Lakeshore.

Mark CADARETTE, 70-years-old of Windsor, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act, and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on July 7, 2025, to answer to the charges.
