Brandon & Martin MOORE Facing Numerous Charges

(TAY TOWNSHIP, ON) – A call from a security company reporting suspicious activity at a Tay Township business resulted in members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigating and ultimately making two arrests and recovering two stolen ATV’s overnight.

At approximately 1:10 a.m. September 22, 2025, responding officers observed the two ATV’s both being driven away from a West Service Road business and through investigation and later assistance from the OPP Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team (ERT) located and apprehended the two responsible individuals at 3:13 a.m. from an outdoor building on Mitchell’s Beach Road, Tay Township.

Charged in connection to this investigation is Martin MOORE, 35 years of Tay Township with the following criminal charges-

Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – in Canada

Fail to Comply with Probation Order (2 counts)

Theft of Motor Vehicle

Dangerous operation

Resist Peace Officer

Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence

Trespassing at Night (two counts)

Also charged is Brandon MOORE, 37 years of Tay Township with the following criminal charges.

Dangerous operation

Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court

Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – in Canada

Theft of Motor Vehicle

Trespassing at Night

Failure to comply with undertaking

Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence

Both accused persons are being held for a bail hearing and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date..

Brendan JONES Was Arrested

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual has been charged following an investigation into a public intoxication incident in Simcoe.

On Sunday, September 21, 2025, at approximately 2:12 p.m., members of the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a suspected intoxicated person on North Main Street in Simcoe.

Officers located the individual nearby and, following an interaction, took them into custody without incident. While in police custody, however, the individual physically assaulted an officer. No injuries were reported.

As a result, 45-year-old Brendan JONES of Haldimand County was charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Being intoxicated in public place,
  • Assault a Peace Officer.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.

The OPP reminds community members that under the Liquor Licence and Control Act, 2019, it is illegal to be intoxicated in public places where the general public is invited or allowed access, or in any shared areas of residences with multiple dwellings.

ORV Vs Downed Tree – One Sent To Hospital, One Arrested

(TINY TOWNSHIP, ON) – On Saturday, September 20, 2025, at approximately 11:49 p.m., officers from the Southern Georgian Bay OPP Detachment responded to a report of an off-road vehicle (ORV) crash in the bush area near Nineth Concession East and Baseline Road.

A John Deere side-by-side ORV struck a downed tree, resulting in serious injuries to a 31-year-old male passenger. Emergency services, including Tiny Township Fire and Simcoe County Paramedics, attended the scene and transported the injured individual to hospital.

The 29-year-old male driver was arrested at the scene and transported for further investigation. As a result, David PETTEN of Tiny Township has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on October 2, 2025. His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and the ORV was impounded for 7 days under ADLS guidelines.

20 Year Old From Mount Forest Airlifted Falling 20 Foot Fall

(FLESHERTON, ON) – On September 22, 2025, at approximately 2:35 p.m., members of the Grey Bruce OPP, Grey Highlands Fire Department, and Grey County Paramedic Services responded to a workplace incident at a property on Durham Street in Flesherton.

A 20-year-old individual from Mount Forest fell approximately 20 feet while working at the location. The individual was transported to a local hospital and later transferred by Ornge Air Ambulance to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

The Ministry of Labour has been contacted and has taken carriage of the investigation. Anyone with information or inquiries related to this incident is encouraged to contact the Ministry of Labour at 1-877-202-0008.

Assault & Theft In Goderich – 29 Year Old Arrested Again #3Strikes

(GODERICH, ON) – The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual following an incident at a retail store on Huron Road in the Town of Goderich. 

On Friday, September 5th, 2025, just after 9:50 a.m., Huron OPP officers were contacted about an individual who reportedly stole items from a store and assaulted a staff member. Police subsequently located and arrested the individual nearby. Officers located the stolen merchandise on the accused. The staff member was not injured in the assault.

David LENTING, 29 years-of-age of no fixed address has been charged with the following offences:

–      Assault,

–      Theft Under $5,000,

–      Fail to Comply with Probation.

The accused was processed and held for a bail hearing where they were remanded into custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Toy/Replica Gun Seized In Meth Bust

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – Suspicious vehicle results in charges for driver.

On September 19, 2025, at 9:51 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) Scales, on the westbound lanes of Highway 401 in the Municipality of Thames Centre, for the report of a suspicious vehicle.

The driver was placed under arrest, at which time a quantity of illicit drugs, suspected to be crystal methamphetamine and heroin, were located and seized. A replica handgun was also located and seized from within the vehicle.

As a result, Mandeep GILL, a 33-year-old of Orangeville, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:

·      Operation while impaired – drugs

·      Carrying concealed weapon

·      Poss of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine

·      Poss of a Schedule I Substance – Heroin

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice on November 14, 2025, to speak to the charges.

Paving Fraud – Stuart BARTON & Edward BARTON Arrested

(ORILLIA, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Anti-Rackets Branch (ARB) has laid criminal charges against two individuals following an investigation into driveway paving fraud spanning several regions across Ontario. 

The investigation, led by the OPP ARB Economic Crimes and Corruption Unit, included support from the OPP Provincial Asset Forfeiture Unit, the OPP Integrated Fraud Awareness and Response Initiative, OPP Central Region and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).

As a result of the investigation, two individuals were charged under the Criminal Code.

Stuart BARTON, 30 years of age of the United Kingdom, was charged with the following offences:

·      Fraud under $5,000

·      Fraud over $5,000 – three counts

Edward BARTON, 28 years of age of the United Kingdom, was charged with fraud over $5,000.

Both accused have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

Trent WEBSTER – Drunk Driving

(CALLANDER, ON) – A proactive traffic stop by the North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) resulted in impaired driving charges against a South River resident early Sunday morning.

On Sunday, September 21, 2025, at approximately 2:20 a.m., a North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a vehicle speeding southbound on Highway 11 before it abruptly turned into the Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) scales area. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and determined the driver had been consuming an alcoholic beverage. The driver was arrested and transported to the North Bay OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Trent WEBSTER, 20 years-of-age from South River, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on November 6, 2025, in North Bay. Additionally, they received a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Dimitar GAGOV Was Arrested – Details Released

(CALEDON, ON) – Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual following a RIDE program.

On August 30, 2025, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Caledon OPP conducted a traffic stop upon a vehicle who travelled through a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program in the area of Mayfield Road and Dixie Road, in the Town of Caledon. Officers investigated and formed grounds that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.

As a result, Dimitar GAGOV, 59, of Mississauga, was charged with:

  • Driving while under suspension
  • Drive motor vehicle with liquor readily available
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The driver is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on October 16, 2025, to answer to the charges. Additionally, the driver’s vehicle was impounded for a period of seven days, and their driver’s licence suspended for a period of 90 days.

RIDE programs are conducted 24/7 throughout the year, not just during the holiday season. Robert COUSINS – Impaired Driving

(DOURO-DUMMER TOWNSHIP, ON) – Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual with impaired driving after receiving a traffic complaint.

On Friday September 19, 2025, shortly after 5:30pm, Peterborough County OPP officers received a complaint of a vehicle driving erratically on South Street in Douro-Dummer Township. Officers located the vehicle and upon speaking with the driver, determined them to be impaired. The driver was arrested and transported to the Peterborough County OPP detachment for further testing.

Robert COUSINS (age 52) of Peterborough, ON., was arrested and charged with;

• Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

The accused had their driver’s licence further suspended for 90-days, and their vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on October 21, 2025.

Attempted Home Invasion – Suspects At Large

(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) – The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a break and enter in Brighton.

On September 21, 2025, at approximately 8:40 p.m., officers responded to a report of a break and enter in progress at a multi-unit residence on Meade Street.

The caller advised that two persons were attempting to break into their residence.

OPP arrived on scene and the involved males fled the location. The OPP Canine Unit (K9) and Emergency Response Team (ERT) were deployed to assist in the search; however, the individuals were not located.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) also attended the residence for non-serious injuries.

The OPP Forensic Identification Services (IDENT) also responded to assist with the investigation, which remains ongoing and is being continued by the Northumberland OPP Crime Unit.

Hunter DEMERS Was Arrested

(WEST NIPISSING, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a driver with impaired driving, after conducting a traffic stop with a vehicle.

On Saturday September 20, 2025, at approximately 9:00 p.m., members from the Nipissing West Detachment of the OPP, conducted a traffic stop, with a vehicle swerving all over the roadway on Highway 17, West Nipissing.

As a result of the investigation, the driver was arrested for impaired driving and transported to the North Bay OPP detachment for further testing.

Hunter DEMERS, 24 years-of-age, from Warren, was charged with, operation while impaired – drugs.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday November 6, 2025, in North Bay.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Ronda Bazley – Drunk Driving

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – Members from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an impaired driving investigation during a collision investigation.

On Saturday September 20, 2025 at approximately 11:55 pm, officers responding to a call for service for a single vehicle collision. Officers were dispatched to Salem Road in Mariposa Township for a single vehicle collision, while on scene officers began an impaired driving investigation. The driver was charged with Criminal Code offences

Ronda Bazley, 41-year-old of Sunderland, was charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The drivers license was suspended for 90 days and the motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

Fatal Motorcycle Vs Pickup Truck

(NIAGARA, ON) – Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Highway Safety Division (HSD) – Niagara Detachment are investigating a two-vehicle collision between a motorcycle and a pickup truck that resulted in a fatality to the driver of the motorcycle.

At approximately 3:50 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2025, there was a collision involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck in the intersection of highway 58 and Thorold Stone Rd in Thorold, Ontario. Emergency services attended the scene and the driver of the motorcycle, a 62-year-old male from Niagara Falls, the lone occupant, suffered critical injuries and was subsequently declared deceased.

The lone occupant of the pickup truck was not injured and remained on scene.

The OPP-HSD Traffic Support Unit attended to complete a thorough technical/reconstructive motor vehicle investigation of the scene. The intersection and various roads in the area were closed for approximately 5 hours for the collision investigation and cleanup. No charges have been laid, and the investigation is ongoing.
