Fatal Collision

(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – An individual has died following a collision involving a passenger vehicle and a pedestrian.

On April 26, 2025, at approximately 10:45 p.m., members from the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision on Highway 19, South-West Oxford Township.

The investigation determined that a pedestrian was struck on the stretch of road between Keswick Road and Ostrander Road.

A 61-year-old from South-West Oxford Township was transported to hospital with life threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased.

The driver of the vehicle reported no injuries.

The road was closed for several hours to facilitate the investigation but has since re-opened.

The Oxford OPP with the assistance of West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team continue to investigate the collision.

William CAMPBELL Facing Numerous Charges

(TAY VALLEY TWP, ON) – – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Montague Township resident with impaired driving and possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

Officers responded to a complaint of a vehicle on the side of the road and the driver slumped over on Highway 7 at Gambles Side Road, in Tay Valley Township on Sunday, April 27, 2025, just after 11:00 a.m.

The officers, while conducting a traffic investigation, arrested the driver and transported the individual to the Lanark Detachment in Perth for testing. A search of the vehicle located a large amount of cash, suspected cocaine, suspected methamphetamine and suspected psilocybin, as well as weapons.

As a result of the investigation, William CAMPBELL, 28-years-old, of Montague Township, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol

·        Possession of schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – two counts

·        Possession of schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking

·        Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on May 26, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Enzo VALLATI – Drunk Driving

(LANARK HIGHLANDS TWP, ON) – – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an Ottawa resident with impaired driving.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on County Road 511, North of Hopetown, in Lanark Highlands Township on Friday, April 25, 2025, just after 8:30 p.m., after the officer observed the vehicle being driven erratically.

The officers arrested the driver and transported the individual to the Lanark Detachment in Perth for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Enzo VALLATI, 46-years-old, of Ottawa, Ontario, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol 

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on May 26, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Hubert ENNIS Was Arrested

(TAY VALLEY TWP, ON) – – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Tay Valley Township resident with impaired driving.

Officers were conducting a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) check on Glen Tay Road on Saturday, April 26, 2025, just before 3:00 p.m.

The officers, while conducting a traffic investigation, arrested the driver and transported the individual to the Lanark Detachment in Perth for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Hubert ENNIS, 66-years-old, of Tay Valley Township, has been charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on May 26, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Kristopher O’KEEFE Was Arrested

(SPRINGWATER TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual with impaired driving related charges after a vehicle collision.

On April 27, 2025, shorty after 3:00 a.m., Huronia West OPP officers responded to a vehicle collision on County Road 90 in Springwater Township.

Officers attended and while speaking with the involved driver, formed grounds that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol, leading to an arrest. As a result of the investigation, Kristopher O’KEEFE, 43-year-old of Angus, was arrested and has been charged with the following:

·      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol

·      Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Collingwood on May 27, 2025, to answer to the charges.

Alex ALLEN – Drunk Driving

(SPRINGWATER TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual with impaired driving related charges.

On April 25, 2025, shortly after 9:30 p.m., Huronia West OPP officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. program on Saint Vincent Street in Springwater Township.

Officers observed a vehicle that had stopped for the R.I.D.E. spot check and after speaking with the driver, officers formed grounds that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol, leading to an arrest. As a result of the investigation, Alex ALLEN, 28-year-old of Midhurst, was arrested and has been charged with the following:

·      Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Collingwood on May 27, 2025, to answer to the charges.

17 Year Old Stunt Driver Charged After Incident At School

(MEAFORD, ON) – The Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a local Meaford resident with stunt driving.

On April 25, 2025, at approximately 3:09 p.m., members of the Grey Bruce OPP were conducting school patrol at the Georgian Bay Community School in Meaford.

Officers observed a motor vehicle spinning tires while departing the parking lot in front of numerous children and adults, which led to a traffic stop being initiated on the roadway.

As a result of the investigation, a 17-year-old from Meaford is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Drive motor vehicle- perform stunt

Anyone charged with Drive Motor Vehicle- Perform stunt receives a 14-day impoundment and a 30-day driver’s licence suspension as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Provincial Offences Court- Owen Sound, on May 26, 2025.

Jeffery Mole Arrested Following Collision

(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – An individual from South Bruce Peninsula is facing impaired driving-related charges stemming from a single motor vehicle collision that had occurred on Sideroad 9, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

On April 26, 2025, at approximately 9:13 a.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Sideroad 9, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs. The driver had swerved to avoid a turkey and lost control of the vehicle, ending up in a ditch.

Jeffery Mole, 44-years-old, of South Bruce Peninsula, is charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired – Alcohol
  • Operation while Impaired – 80 plus

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on May 15, 2025.

Fatal Motorcycle Collision

(MADOC, ON) – The province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has invoked its mandate following a fatal collision on Highway 7 in Madoc.

On Sunday, April 27, 2025, shortly before 8:30 p.m., officers with the Central Hastings Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of a vehicle being driven erratically, westbound on Highway 7. Shortly afterward, the officers discovered a collision involving the reported vehicle and a motorcycle.

The motorcycle rider, a 57-year-old male, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the car, a 19-year-old male, was not injured.

The OPP investigation is continuing with assistance from an OPP Collision Reconstructionist and Technical Collision Investigators from the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team.

BAILEY Arrested For Impaired Driving

(WELLINGTON NORTH TWP, ON) – Wellington County OPP received a traffic complaint which led to an individual from South Bruce, ON being charged with impaired driving related charges.

On April 25, 2025, at approximately 9:30 p.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were notified of a possible impaired driver on Wellington Road 109, east of Teviotdale.

As a result of the investigation, Steven BAILEY, 43-year-old of South Bruce, ON, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on May 6, 2025.

75 Year Old Drunk Driver Arrested

(BANCROFT, ON) – Members of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver with impaired operation during RIDE program in Hastings Highlands.

On Sunday, April 27, 2025, just before 8:00 p.m., Bancroft OPP officers were conducting a RIDE program on Peterson Road. One driver was transported to the detachment for testing, but once at the detachment, the driver refused to give a sample of their breath.

As a result, Steward CARROLL, a 75-year-old resident of Harcourt, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand

The accused’s license was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle impounded for seven days. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on May 27, 2025.

One Airlifted Following Collision

(NORTH PERTH, ON) – One person has been injured following a single motor vehicle collision in the Municipality of North Perth.

On April 26, 2025 shortly after 10:00 p.m. the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Perth County Paramedic Services, Ornge Air Ambulance and the North Perth Fire Department, responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on Perth Line 77, in the Municipality of North Perth.

As a result of the collision the 29-year-old male driver was air lifted to a local trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

Perth Line 77 was temporarily closed but has since been reopened. Members of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team and Perth County OPP are still investigating this collision.

One Sent To Hospital – OPP Invoke Silence & “SIU Mandate” #FilmThePolice #FTP

(KENORA, ON) – The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has invoked its mandate in relation to an incident that took place in Kenora, Ontario.

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, shortly before 11:00 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Kenora Detachment observed a female with an outstanding bench warrant. The female was placed under arrest and transported to the Kenora OPP Detachment where she was subsequently lodged in cells and held for a bail hearing.

On Sunday, April 27, 2025, shortly before 2:00 a.m., the female prisoner went into medical distress. She was subsequently transported to the local hospital.   

The OPP has notified the SIU, which has invoked its mandate. As a result, the OPP will not be able to provide further information. Any other inquiries should be directed to [email protected].

Exeter Sexual Assault Update – One Arrested

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested one individual in connection with a sexual assault that occurred in the Municipality of South Huron.

On April 25, 2025, the OPP launched an investigation after receiving information of a sexual assault that occurred on the McNaughton-Morrison Trail near the town of Exeter between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

The OPP have identified and arrested one male in connection with this investigation. The name of the individual will not be released at this time as the investigation is still on-going.

19 Year Old Facing Assault & Drunk Driving Charges

(SMITHS FALLS, ON) – Members of the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid charges of impaired driving and assault police officer following an investigation that spanned between Highway 15 in Elgin and the Town of Smiths Falls.

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, just before 8:00 p.m., a citizen made reports of suspicious activity between three occupants of a parked vehicle. The vehicle was said to have taken off on Highway 15 at a high rate of speed.

Members of Leeds OPP and the Smiths Falls Police Service located the vehicle at a gas station in the Town of Smiths Falls. Following an investigation, the driver was arrested. During the arrest, two officers sustained minor injuries.

The driver, Okon DIBAUD, 19 years old, of Gatineau, Québec, was charged with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration
  • Assault with intent to resist arrest – two counts
  • Resist peace officer – two counts

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on May 23, 2025.
