Jesse Mercier Was Arrested

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – Members from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an impaired driving investigation after receiving information about a single vehicle collision.

On Sunday June 08, 2025 at approximately 8 pm officers responded to reports regarding a motor vehicle driving southbound on Eldon Road that failed to stop at the stop sign and drove straight into the southbound ditch of Ramsey Road. Officers arrested and charged the driver with impaired driving related charges.

Jesse Mercier, 33-year-old of Prince Albert, was charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
  • Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration over 80

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The motor vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days and drivers license was suspended for 90 days.

William HATCH – Drunk Driving

(LAMBTON SHORES, ON) – An individual has been charged with impaired operation following a collision.

On June 6, 2025, just after 8:30 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single-vehicle collision on Highway 21 at Lakeshore Road in the Municipality of Lambton Shores.

Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle off the roadway. There were no injuries reported.

As a result of the investigation, William HATCH, 45-year-old of Camlachie, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Sarnia on August 18, 2025.

Meth Bust – 3 Arrested

(PETROLIA, ON) – Police have charged three individuals following a traffic stop in Petrolia.

On June 6, 2025, just before 5:30 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), conducted a traffic stop on Oil Heritage Road, near Derby Street, Petrolia.

As a result of the investigation, Kaitlin EMMONS, 24-year-old of Forest, has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with the following offences:

  • Obstruct Peace Officer
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine

Jessie EMMONS, 27-year-old of Lambton County and Hayden MILLER, 22-year-old of Petrolia, have been arrested and charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine.

The accused were released from police custody and are set to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on July 9, 2025, in the City of Sarnia.

Alex SKRIABOW Was Arrested

(BANCROFT, ON) – Members of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver with impaired operation during RIDE program in the Town of Bancroft.

On Saturday, June 7, 2025, just before 11:00 p.m., Bancroft OPP officers were conducting a RIDE program on Mill Street. One driver was transported to the detachment for testing.

Alex SKRIABOW, a 65-year-old resident of Bancroft, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80) plus
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol

The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle impounded for seven days. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on July 8, 2025.

Do You Recognize These Robbery Suspects?

(CENTRE WELLINGTON TWP, ON) – On June 5, 2025, at approximately 5:20 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a reported robbery at a LCBO store on Parkside Drive, Fergus.

It was reported that two suspects had entered the business and stole an undisclosed amount of alcohol.  One of the suspects entered the store brandishing a weapon described as an expandable baton. The suspects were last observed entering a black Nissan Rogue which fled northbound on Highway 6.  The vehicle had attached Ontario licence plates CVDM927, which have been reported stolen.

There were no reported injuries.

The first suspect is described as, male, dark complexion, small build, brown eyes, black short hair, black facial hair, and a scar on upper lip.

Clothing: Black hat with yellow Dewalt logo, a pink shirt, green cargo shorts, green coloured puffer jacket, and navy-blue running shoes.

The second suspect is described as, male, dark complexion, small build, brown eyes, black hair, beard

Clothing Description: vertical grey and white striped shirt, black hat with White logo for Brixton MFG. Co., Greek camo cargo

shorts, and black shoes.

Police believe that the suspects are also responsible for a robbery at the same location on May 22, 2025, as well as several similar incidents in other jurisdictions.

Break & Enter, Assault With Weapon – Mike HOWARTH Arrested

(BANCROFT, ON) – The Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police has charged one person following an altercation.

On June 4, 2025, shortly after 9:00 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance at a residence in Hastings Highlands. One person was arrested a short time later at a traffic stop.

Mike HOWARTH, a 33-year-old from Bancroft, has been charged with:

–      Break and enter

–      Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose

–      Assault with a weapon

–      Uttering Threats

The accused was released from custody with and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on August 5, 2025.

Benildus ARIYARATNAM – Impaired Driving

(MUNICIPALITY OF PORT HOPE, ON) – Officers from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint that led to a driver being charged with impaired.

On Sunday June 8, 2025 at approximately 6:45 am police received a traffic complaint involving a silver colored passenger van heading east bound on Highway 401 near the Morrish church overpass. The vehicle was described to be travelling at a high rate of speed nearly causing two collisions. Officers located the vehicle and pulled it over at Toronto Road.

Benildus ARIYARATNAM (age 57) of Whitby, Ontario, was arrested and charged with:

•        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

•        Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on a date in August 2025.

Ashlee RYAN – Drunk Driving

(WELLINGTON, ON) – Impaired driving charges have been laid after an incident in Wellington.

On Saturday, June 7, 2025, shortly before 9:30 p.m., officers with the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance in a parking lot on Wharf Street.

Officers arrested an individual who was transported to the detachment for testing.

Ashlee RYAN, age 24 of Prince Edward County, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on June 25, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Hit & Run – Sean KENNEDY Arrested

(PICTON, ON) – Impaired driving charges have been laid following a multi-vehicle collision in Picton.

On Saturday, June 7, 2025, shortly before 5:00 p.m., officers with the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision on Picton Main Street. Three vehicles had been involved. One vehicle left the scene, but it’s bumper and licence plate were left behind. No injuries were reported.

Officers located the outstanding mini-van and then tracked down the individual who had been driving. The individual was arrested for failing to remain at the scene of a collision, and an approved roadside alcohol screening devise was utilized. The male was transported to the detachment for further testing.

Sean KENNEDY, age 31 of Deseronto, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Dangerous operation of a vehicle
  • Fail to remain at the scene of a collision

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on June 25, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.

(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) – A motorist visiting Sandbanks Provincial Park has been charged with impaired driving.

On Saturday, June 7, 2025, shortly before 3:00 p.m., officers with the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the park when a possible impaired driver was reported.

Officers located the vehicle, and an approved roadside alcohol screening devise was utilized. The male was transported to the detachment for further testing.

Matthew MOORE – Drunk Driving

(BECKWITH TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Carleton Place resident with impaired driving.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on Appleton Side Road, in Beckwith Township on Friday, June 7, 2025, just after 7:00 p.m. after a complaint of a vehicle being driven erratically.

The officers located the vehicle, arrested the driver and transported the individual to the OPP Detachment in Carleton Place for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Matthew MOORE, 36-years-old, of Carleton Place, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on June 30, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Derek LAWLESS Was Arrested

(KINGSTON, ON) – A RIDE program at a Highway 401 offramp in Kingston has resulted in an impaired driving arrest.

On Friday, June 6, 2025, shortly after 8:00 p.m., officers with the Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program at the Highway-38 exit of the eastbound 401.

Officers stopped a pick-up truck, and it was noted that a child in the vehicle was not wearing a seatbelt. Officers utilized an approved roadside alcohol screening device, and the driver was arrested and transported for the detachment for further testing.

Derek LAWLESS, age 37 of Kingston, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Driving while a passenger under 16 is not properly wearing a seatbelt
  • Fail to comply with an undertaking

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston on July 24, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded.

Robert Andrew HAMILTON – Impaired Driving

(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TWP, ON) – On June 7, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision in the area of Harris Street and Sammon Drive, in Rockwood.

It was reported that a pickup truck had collided with a parked vehicle and then left the scene. Police located the driver and damaged pickup truck nearby. No injuries were reported.

As a result of the investigation, Robert Andrew HAMILTON, 67-years-old of the Township of Guelph-Eramosa, was charged with:

– Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs contrary to the Criminal Code

– Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus

– Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph, on June 17, 2025.

Rohdel LEMON Was Arrested

(BROCKTON, ON) – On June 8, 2025, at approximately 7:21 a.m., a member of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting radar enforcement along Bruce Road 4 in the Municipality of Brockton.

A vehicle was stopped after it was observed travelling in excess of 110 km/h in a posted 70 km/h zone. The investigating officer spoke to the driver and detected signs of impairment. The driver was placed under arrest and transported for further testing.

Rohdel LEMON, 26-years-old, resident of Cambridge, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – B.A.C. 80 plus, CC 320.14(1)(b)
  • Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt, HTA 172(1)

The accused is set to appear on July 16, 2025, at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice to answer to the charge.

84 Year Old Facing Drunk Driving Charge Following Collision

(MAPLETON TWP, ON) – On June 7, 2025, at approximately 2:30 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with other emergency services, responded to a collision at McGivern Street near Booth Street in Moorefield.

It was reported that a single motor vehicle had collided with a pole.

The lone occupant was transported by ambulance to a local hospital as a precaution.

As a result of the investigation, Patrick Anthony HAGEL, 84-years-old of Mapleton Township, was charged with Operation While Impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) contrary to the Criminal Code.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph, on June 17, 2025.
