4 Collisions & 4 Facing Impaired Charges

(LENNOX AND ADDINGTON COUNTY, ON) – Lennox and Addington County members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged four people with impaired driving in a 6 day stretch.

On Friday February 20, 2026, just before 9:00 p.m., L&A County OPP members were called regarding a single vehicle collision on Deseronto Road in the area of Bridge St West in Tyendinaga Township. Police attended the location and the driver was arrested.

Paul AUTY, a 67-year-old from Loyalist Township, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol
  • Dangerous operation

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on March 31, 2026. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded.

On Saturday February 21, 2026, just before 11:00 p.m, L&A County OPP was called regarding a single vehicle collision on Bridge Street near Slash Road, in the Town of Greater Napanee. Following an investigation, the driver was located nearby and arrested.  Breath testing at the detachment revealed a blood alcohol concentration over four times the legal limit.

 Sierra WILSON, a 30-year-old from Napanee, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol
  • Dangerous Operation
  • Fail to remain

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on March 31, 2026. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded.

On Wednesday February 25, 2026, just after 1:00 a.m, L&A County OPP was called regarding a vehicle collision on County Road 9, in the Town of Greater Napanee. During the investigation at scene, it was determined that a witness driver had been drinking, that driver was arrested.  

Russell ROGERS, a 23-year-old from Napanee, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol
  • Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on April 14, 2026. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded.

On Wednesday February 25, 2026, just after 7:00 p.m, L&A County OPP was called regarding a single vehicle collision on Casey Road near Craig Road, in Tyendinaga Township. Following an investigation, the driver was arrested.  

Michelle PATTERSON, a 52-year-old from Tyendinaga Township, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on April 7, 2026. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded.

Fatal Snowmobile Collision

(LOYALIST TOWNSHIP, ON) – A collision involving a snowmobile and pick-up truck in Loyalist Township has left one person deceased.

On Thursday, January 29, 2026, around 3:15 p.m., members of the Lennox and Addington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the scene on County Road 5, between County Road 4 and Newburgh Road.

A snowmobile had collided with a pick-up truck on the roadway.

The rider of the snowmobile, identified as a 61-year-old woman from Kingston, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The occupants of the truck were not hurt.

The investigation by Lennox and Addington County OPP, with the assistance of a Technical Collision Investigation officer and Collision Reconstructionist from the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team, is continuing.

Shane WINSLOW Was Arrested

(LENNOX AND ADDINGTON COUNTY, ON) – Lennox and Addington County members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a person with several criminal and provincial charges following a traffic stop on the weekend.

On Saturday January 3, 2026, just before 10:00 p.m., L&A County OPP members were performing speed radar enforcement on Highway 401 in the Town of Greater Napanee. Officers stopped a vehicle travelling eastbound at 44km/h over the posted speed limit. Following an investigation the driver was arrested.

Shane WINSLOW, a 31-year-old from Loyalist Township, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus
  • Stunt driving
  • Driving while under suspension

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on January 27, 2026. Their driver’s licence was suspended and their vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

MCGRATH Arrested For Drunk Driving

(LOYALIST TOWNSHIP, ON) – Lennox and Addington County members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person with impaired driving related charges following an incident that originated in the City of Kingston.

On Sunday December 28, 2025, shortly before 1:00 a.m., L&A County OPP members were advised by Kingston Police of a vehicle that had been operating dangerously and fled from an attempted traffic stop in the city. Police attended the owner’s residence and following an investigation, located the vehicle and the driver was arrested.

Adam MCGRATH, an 18-year-old from Amherstview, was charged with:

• Operation while impaired – alcohol

• Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus

• Novice driver – BAC above zero

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on January 20, 2026. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded.

Nikolas DICKSON Was Arrested

(LOYALIST TOWNSHIP, ON) – Lennox and Addington County members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person with impaired driving related charges following a collision.

On Monday December 15, 2025, shortly before 7:00 p.m., L&A County OPP members were advised by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) of a two vehicle collision on Amherst Drive in Loyalist Township involving a possible impaired driver. Police attended, and after being treated by EMS, one driver was arrested.

Nikolas DICKSON, a 27-year-old from Gananoque, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus
  • Careless driving
  • Fail to surrender licence

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on January 6, 2026. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded.

Kendal ATKIN – Impaired Operation

(LOYALIST TOWNSHIP, ON) – Lennox and Addington County members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a person with impaired driving following a collision on Bath Road in Loyalist Township yesterday.

On Tuesday December 9, 2025, just after 10:00 a.m., L&A County OPP members were advised of a collision involving a possible impaired driver on Bath Road in the area of County Road 4 in Loyalist Township. Police attended the location and following an investigation, one involved driver was arrested and then transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Kendal ATKIN, a 29-year-old from Toronto, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – drugs

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on January 13, 2026. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

Stephanie MAYNARD – Drunk Driving

(LOYALIST TWP., ON) – Multiple traffic complaints have led Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) to an impaired driving arrest.

On Friday, October 17, 2025, concerned members of the public began calling the OPP shortly after 11:00 a.m., to report a possible impaired driver.

The initial call come in from the westbound lanes of Highway 401 in the Lansdowne area. Other calls come in as the vehicle continued westbound, in what was described as a dangerous manner.

Officers with the Leeds County, Frontenac and Lennox and Addington County Detachments all converged on the 401 in an attempt to locate the vehicle.

The car was found and stopped by officers in the Odessa area, west of Kingston.

An approved alcohol screening device was utilized, and the driver was arrested and transported to the Lennox and Addington Detachment for further testing.

As a result, Stephanie MAYNARD, age 48 of Montreal, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee on November 4, 2025. The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

AI Used To Arrest Luke JONES

(LOYALIST TOWNSHIP, ON) – Lennox and Addington County members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid impaired driving related charges overnight.

On Wednesday October 1, 2025, just after 1:00 a.m., L&A County OPP members stopped a vehicle following an Automated Licence Plate Reader (ALPR) hit for an unattached licence plate. Following an investigation, the driver was arrested.

Luke JONES, a 39-year-old from Orono, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Dangerous driving
  • Obstruct peace officer
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Use plate not authorized

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on October 21, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded.

Blair SCANLON Was Arrested


(LOYALIST TOWNSHIP, ON) – 
Lennox and Addington County members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person with impaired driving related charges over the weekend.

On Sunday, June 29, 2025, just after 10:00 p.m., L&A County OPP members were advised of a motor vehicle stopped in the middle of the road on Manitou Crescent in Amherstview. The vehicle was located by police and the driver was arrested.

 Blair SCANLON, a 39-year-old from Amherstview, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on July 15, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded.

Simon LAUZE Was Arrested

(LOYALIST TWP., ON) – Charges have been laid after reports of a fast moving, swerving vehicle on Highway 401 in Loyalist Township.

On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, just after 10:00 a.m., officers with the Lennox and Addington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of a fast-moving car heading westbound. Officers observed erratic driving behaviour and were able to stop the vehicle west of Shannonville Road. The driver was arrested without incident.

Simon LAUZE, age 31 of Toronto, has been charged with:

  • Dangerous operation of a vehicle
  • Stunt driving

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee on July 8, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been seized and suspended for 30 days and their car was impounded for 14 days.

Keith LACOMBE – Drunk Driving

(LOYALIST TOWNSHIP, ON) – Lennox and Addington County Detachment members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person with impaired driving and multiple other charges following a investigation in Loyalist Township.

On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, shortly before 11:00 p.m., L&A County OPP was contacted after a vehicle was found parked in the front yard of a residence. OPP identified the driver of the vehicle and, following an investigation, Keith LACOMBE, a 45-year-old from Loyalist Township was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol
  • Obstruct police

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on May 27, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded.

One Dead – One Charged With Assault

(LOYALIST TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has confirmed that a death in the Odessa area of Loyalist Township did not involve foul play.

On Wednesday, April 30, 2025, officers were called to a residence on Potter Drive where a 30-year-old woman had been found deceased. A postmortem examination found no indication of foul play.

One person was arrested May 2, 2025, in Napanee in relation to injuries the deceased had suffered in prior incidents. The deceased’s vehicle has also been recovered. 

Kyle ST. LOUIS, age 32 of North Bay, has been charged with:

  • Assault
  • Assault with a weapon

The accused, who also has outstanding arrest warrants in another jurisdiction, was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear for a virtual bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee on May 5, 2025.

30 Year Old Found Dead – Police Seeking Person Of Interest

(LOYALIST TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a death in the Odessa area of Loyalist Township.

On Wednesday, April 30, 2025, shortly after 10:00 a.m., officers were called to a residence on Potter Drive where a 30-year-old woman had been found deceased.

While a postmortem examination has found no indication of foul play, the investigation is continuing into the circumstances surrounding the death.

Investigators are looking to speak to an individual who may have been involved in an earlier incident involving the deceased. There is believed to be no threat to public safety.

Jason BEREZNY – Drunk Driving, Hit & Run

(LOYALIST TOWNSHIP, ON) – Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person following a two-vehicle collision in a parking lot.

On Saturday, April 5, 2025, shortly after 9:00 p.m., L&A County OPP members attended the scene of a collision in the parking lot of a Loyalist Township business. No injuries were reported. Following an investigation, the suspect vehicle was located nearby.

Jason BEREZNY, a 53-year-old from Odessa, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol
  • Failure to stop after accident

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on April 22, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded.

Karli CLARK – Assault With Weapon

(LOYALIST TOWNSHIP, ON) – Lennox and Addington County Detachment members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged one person with numerous offences including assault and assault with a weapon following an incident in Amherstview.

On Wednesday, March 26, 2025, shortly before 3:00 p.m., L&A County OPP members attended a medical clinic after it was reported that a patient had assaulted and threatened a doctor. No one was injured during the incident.

Karli CLARK, a 29-year-old from Kingston was charged with:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Assault – two counts
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
  • Uttering threats to damage property

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on March 27, 2025.
