Listowel: OPP, Stratford Police Arrest 22 Year Old Linked to Property Crimes Across Six Regions

(PERTH, ON) – Police have arrested one individual following multiple property crimes in Perth, Huron, Wellington, Oxford, Stratford, and Waterloo Region.

Throughout the month of September 2025, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Stratford Police Service investigated several property crimes.

On September 23, 2025, members of the Perth County OPP along with the Community Street Crime Unit, located a stolen vehicle, in the town of Listowel, North Perth. The driver attempted to flee on foot however they were taken into custody without incident.

As a result, police charged 22-year-old, Tyler STANLEY, of West Perth with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 (Three Counts)
  • Theft Over $5,000 (Two Counts)
  • Operation while Prohibited
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused has been held in custody following an appearance before the Ontario Court of Justice, located in Stratford on September 24, 2025. Additionally, Stratford Police Service has charged the accused with multiple offences in relation to incidents that occurred in their jurisdiction.

Victim Scammed Out Of $150,000 Tractor

(SOUTH BRUCE, ON) – On September 15, 2025, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a fraud involving the sale of a tractor from an address along Concession 2 in the Municipality of South Bruce.

The victim made arrangements for the sale of the tractor, only to discover that after it was transported from the location, that the method of transaction was fraudulent. The tractor was observed being removed by a white transport truck with a flatbed trailer.

Police are searching for the following:

  • 2017 Fendt 714 Vario with 5×85 front-end loader attached – green & red in colour – serial # 738222694

Bayfield Assault – Evan SMITH Arrested

(BLUEWATER, ON) – The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual following an incident on Long Hill Road in the Municipality of Bluewater on September 18th, 2025. 

On Thursday, September 18th, 2025, Huron OPP officers were contacted by the complainant, who was reportedly assaulted by another person in Bayfield earlier that same day. Police subsequently located and arrested the suspect on September 19th.

Evan SMITH, 31-years-of-age from Central Huron has been charged with the following offence:

–      Assault Causing Bodily Harm.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on October 27th, 2025.

Telecom Wire Theft Threatens Emergency Services; OPP Urges “Vigilance” – Gordon KOSTAL Arrested

(WELLINGTON NORTH TWP, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) have arrested one individual in relation to theft of telecommunication wires.

On September 18, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the Wellington County OPP received a report a telecommunication wires being cut at a local business on Egremont Street within Mount Forest, and the wires were positioned to be stolen later that night.

The Wellington CSCU responded and as a result of the investigation, the suspect was located and arrested within the early morning hours of September 19, 2025.

Gordon KOSTAL, a 44-year-old of Mount Forest is charged under the Criminal Code with: Theft under $5000.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Theft and damage to telecommunication lines are more than just property crimes, they can have serious public safety consequences. These lines support critical services like 911 emergency access, medical alert systems, and internet and phone connectivity. When they’re compromised, entire communities can lose access to emergency help and essential communication, putting lives at risk and disrupting daily life.

Telecommunication wires are often targeted for their copper content, which is commonly resold at scrap yards, making them a target for theft.

The Wellington County OPP urges the public to report any suspicious activity near telecom infrastructure to help protect these vital services.

16 Year Old Follows Ambery Road Into Lake Huron #OPP #Joyride

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH TWP, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a youth from Wellington North, Arthur following a single motor vehicle collision on September 14, 2025, in the Township of ACW. 

At 11:55 p.m., on Sunday, September 14, 2025, Huron County OPP received a report of a collision involving an automobile that left the west end of Amberley Road and entered Lake Huron.

Huron County OPP attended the scene and discovered that the involved 4-door sedan had left the roadway, rolled, and landed on the roof in the water approximately ten meters from shore. The two occupants had exited the vehicle uninjured.

A 16-year-old youth from Wellington North, Arthur has been charged with:

–      Dangerous Operation.

The identity of the accused is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Youth Court of Justice – Goderich on November 13th, 2025.

Listowel Church Break In – Do You Recognize These People?

(NORTH PERTH, ON) – Police are seeking the publics assistance with identifying persons of interest in relation to a break and enter that occurred at a local church in the Municipality of North Perth.

On September 19, 2025 the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) launched an investigation into a break and enter that occurred shortly before 3:00 a.m. at a local church on Tremaine Ave South in the town of Listowel.

The persons of interest are described as:

  • Riding a bicycle

Person of interest two:

  • Unknown gender
  • Light colour hooded sweatshirt

ACW Resident Faces Impaired and Mischief Charges After ATV Incident – Name Released #OPP #Crime

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH TWP, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an ACW Twp resident with criminal offences following a collision investigation in ACW Twp on September 10th, 2025. 

Just after 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, Huron County OPP officers responded to a report of a collision involving a pickup truck and an off-road vehicle on River Mill Line near Nile Road. While at the scene, police observed an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) attend the location. The ATV driver had consumed alcohol prior to operating the machine, and they were subsequently arrested for impaired operation. During transport and lodging, the accused damaged the police cruiser and cell area.

The accused has been charged as follows:

Ashton CLEMENTS, 26 years-of-age from ACW Twp, has been charged with:

–      Impaired Operation – Over 80,

–      Mischief to Property Under $5,000.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on October 20th, 2025.

Goderich Man Busted After GPS Outs Stolen Golf Cart

(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Goderich resident with a criminal offence following a report to police involving a stolen golf cart that was affixed with a GPS tracking device. 

On Monday, September 15, 2025, Huron County OPP officers received a report of the possible location of a stolen golf cart in the Town of Goderich. The golf cart owner reported the golf cart stolen two days previous from a golf course property in Huron-Kinloss Twp, South Bruce County. Officers attended the location of the GPS tracking device and spoke to an individual. A golf cart was located inside a trailer on the property and confirmed to be the same stolen golf cart. A suspect was arrested at the scene.

The suspect has been charged as follows:

John BOURGEOIS, 59 years-of-age from Goderich has been charged with:

–      Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on October 27th, 2025.

Goderich Resident Arrested After Ditch Incident #OPP

(BLUEWATER, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Goderich resident with several criminal driving offences following a collision in the Municipality of Bluewater on September 13th, 2025. 

At 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025, Huron County OPP officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision into a ditch on Goshen Line in Bluewater. Police attended the scene and located the driver who was arrested for impaired operation and dangerous driving.

The driver was transported to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton where they provided breath samples before a qualified Intoxilyzer Breath Technician. Breath samples were provided to police which resulted in readings over twice the legal limit.

As a result of the investigation, the accused has been charged as follows:

Adam CHILTON, 42 years-of-age from Goderich has been charged with:

–      Dangerous Operation,

–      Impaired Operation – Alcohol and Drug,

–      Impaired Operation – Over 80.

The involved vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days. The accused’ driver’s licence was suspended for a period of 90 days. 

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on October 20, 2025.

Vanastra Disturbance Leads to Assault, Threat Charges Against Huron East Woman #OPP

(HURON EAST, ON) – On Sunday, September 7th, 2025, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a disturbance at an address in the Village of Vanastra, Municipality of Huron East.

As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had allegedly committed an assault and threatened another person while causing a disturbance.

The suspect was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

Ann HALLEY, 60 years-of-age from Huron East has been charged with:

–      Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm,

–      Causing a Disturbance.

From Saugeen to Soggy: Popped Raft Sparks River Rescue #FloatieFail

(BROCKTON, ON) – On September 21, 2025, at approximately 8:42 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a person stranded along the Saugeen River after their inflatable raft had punctured.

After approximately an hour into the search, officers located the individual. The Hanover Fire Department attended with a rescue vessel in order to bring them to shore, uninjured.

While inflatable watercrafts are a fun activity for the swimming pool, you put yourself at risk when attempting to take them down the Saugeen River or out on Lake Huron.

Violent Assault In Howick, Repeat Offender Arrested Again #WaitInTheTruck #3Strikes

(HOWICK, ON) – On September 7th, 2025, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a matter involving intimate partners in the Township of Howick.

As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had allegedly committed criminal acts against their partner.

A 44-year-old individual from Norfolk County has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

–      Assault with a Weapon – Spousal,

–      Operation while Prohibited,

–      Fail to Comply with Probation – (three counts).

OPP Lay Impaired Charges After Golf Cart Crash on Private Property #EnforcementEverywhere #FilmThePolice #FTP

(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) – Driver facing impaired charge after collision on private property in Southwest Middlesex.

On September 20, 2025, at 4:45 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Chippewas of the Thames First Nation Police, Oneida Nation Police and Middlesex-London Paramedic Service were dispatched to a collision at a business on Longwoods Road in the Municipality of Southwest Middlesex.

Investigation revealed an individual was operating a golf cart on private property, lost control and rolled. 

The driver was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result, Cruise CORNELIUS, a 20-year-old of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on October 16, 2025.

Drunk Driver Arrested In North Huron, Name Released

(NORTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an East York, Ontario resident with Impaired driving offences following a traffic stop in a “Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere” (R.I.D.E.) check on September 6th, 2025, in the Township of North Huron. 

Just after 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, September 06, 2025, Huron County OPP officers observed a vehicle entering a RIDE check at the intersection of Bruce Road 86 and Whitechurch Street in North Huron. Police spoke to the driver who had consumed alcohol prior to driving.

The driver was subsequently arrested for impaired operation and transported to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton where they provided breath samples before a qualified Intoxilyzer Breath Technician. Breath samples were provided to police which resulted in readings over twice the legal limit.

George KELLY, 53 years-of-age from East York has been charged with:

–      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs,

–      Operation while Impaired – Over 80.

The accused was additionally charged with two offences found in the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).

The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on October 6th, 2025.

Assaults In Bluewater, Repeat Offender Arrested Again #3Stikes

(BLUEWATER, ON) – The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual following an incident at a rural address on Airport Line in the Municipality of Bluewater on September 5th, 2025. 

On Friday, September 5th, 2025, just after 7:00 p.m., Huron OPP officers were contacted about an individual who reportedly assaulted two victims and caused damage at the property. Police subsequently located and arrested the individual at the scene.

Mick JONES OPT HOOG, 26 years-of-age from Manitowaning, Ontario has been charged with the following offences:

–      Assault with a Weapon – (three counts),

–      Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose,

–      Mischief to Property,

–      Fail to Comply with Probation – (two counts).

The accused was processed and held for a bail hearing where they were later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
