Child Abducted – Corygon ALLICOCK Arrested

(PERTH COUNTY, ON) – A City of Toronto resident has been charged after an ongoing investigation in Perth County.

On October 18, 2021, the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), with the assistance of the Toronto Police Service, arrested and charged an individual.

Corygon ALLICOCK, 36-years-old of Toronto, has been charged under section 281 of the Criminal Code with Abduction of Person Under 14.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

As this is an ongoing investigation, no further details will be released at this time. A publication ban is in effect for the proceedings. The media is asked to refrain from utilizing any personal information, contained in previous media releases, regarding the victim.

29 Year Old Has Vehicle Impounded For 2 Weeks For Speeding

(BLUEWATER, ON) – If you choose to drive well over the speed limit be prepared for stiff consequences says Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). A South Huron driver has lost her licence for 30 days and her vehicle has been impounded for two weeks following a traffic stop that took place Sunday afternoon.

On October 17, 2021 at approximately 2:50 p.m. a Huron County OPP officer was patrolling on Airport Line southwest of Hensall when the officer observed an automobile travelling southbound at a high rate of speed. A RADAR device was utilized to measure the speed of the vehicle and it was found to be travelling at a speed in excess of 60 kilometers over the 80 km/h speed limit. 

A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was subsequently charged. Whitney VISOUVATH, 29 years of age from South Huron has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle – Excessive Speed. The defendant now has to attend Provincial Offences Act Court in Goderich on December 7, 2021.

Drunk Driver Arrested On London Road

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – A resident of London is facing a number of charges following a traffic stop conducted by Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) late last week. 

At approximately 4:46 p.m. on October 14, 2021 Huron OPP officers received a call from a witness that reported a driver was operating a sport utility vehicle in an erratic manner. Officers immediately began patrolling for the suspect vehicle and about 10 minutes later it was stopped on London Road (Highway 4) near Crediton Road. 

The investigating officer spoke with the driver and upon doing so the driver was found to be displaying signs of impairment. Additionally, police observed open containers of alcohol inside the vehicle.

The driver was ultimately placed under arrest for Impaired Operation and was transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for breath tests. Two breath tests were taken and both were found to be over the legal limit.

Alvaro GIL ASTURIAS, 33 years of age from London has been charged with Impaired Operation, Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus), Drive Motor Vehicle With Open Container of Liquor and Novice Driver – BAC Above Zero. 

The accused has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for November 20, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Gough LEWIS Arrested After Calling Police

(MEAFORD, ON) – On October 14, 2021, at approximately 10:00 a.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call from an upset member of the public regarding an ongoing investigation.

While assisting the member of the public, the individual made several comments that resulted in criminal charges being laid.

The Grey Bruce OPP have arrested and charged Gough LEWIS, 55-years-of-age of Meaford with two counts of Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm.

LEWIS was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on October 15, 2021.

Jeffery HUNTER – Impaired Driving

(SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) On October 14, 2021 at approximately 2 p.m., Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report a traffic complaint on Bruce Road 13 in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.   

Police stopped the motor vehicle in question, and the driver was placed under arrest. The driver was transported to the Grey Bruce OPP detachment, where further tests were administered.

Grey Bruce OPP have charged Jeffery HUNTER, 54 years-of-age, from South Bruce Peninsula with Operation of a motor vehicle while impaired by drug.

The accused was released and must attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on November 18, 2021.

Drunk Driver Arrested In Meaford

(MEAFORD, ON) On October 15, 2021 at approximately 1:45 p.m., Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint concerning a possible impaired driver on Highway 26 in the Municipality of Meaford.   

Police located and stopped a motor vehicle, and the driver was placed under arrest. The driver was transported to the Grey Bruce OPP detachment, where further tests were administered.

Grey Bruce OPP have charged Lauren ATKINSON, 32 years-of-age, from The Blue Mountains with the following offences:

·        Operation of a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol, and

·        Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor.

The accused was released and must attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on November 25, 2021.

The accused’s driver licence was automatically suspended for 30 days, and their vehicle was towed, and impounded for 7 days.

Adam KONKLE Arrested Again – Theft, Fraud, Etc.

NORTH HURON, ON) – A North Huron resident remains in custody following a police investigation conducted by Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) last week.

On Wednesday, October 13, 2021 Huron County OPP officers responded to a business in Blyth to investigate a theft of a motor vehicle incident whereupon the business owner was also threatened. 

Police learned the accused attended the business and stole his vehicle out of the vehicle impound facility. When confronted the accused threatened the owner and proceeded to drive away from the tow facility. 

Later that day officers observed the accused operating the automobile on Harriston Road. An officer attempted to stop the driver however he immediately took off at a high rate of speed and failed to stop. 

On October 15, 2021 the accused was arrested by Guelph Police Service and was later transferred over to the custody of Huron OPP.

Adam KONKLE, 41 years of age from North Huron has been charged with the following offences:

·        Theft Under $5,000

·        Uttering Threats

·        Fraud Under $5,000

·        Fail to Comply with Probation Order – 3 counts

·        Flight From Police Officer

·        Drive While Under Suspension – 2 counts

·        Operate a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance – 2 counts

The accused remains in custody with a court appearance scheduled for October 20, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Arson In Goderich

(GODERICH, ON) – Members from the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit, along with the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal (OFM) continue to investigate a fire that took place in Goderich early last week.

On October 11, 2021 at approximately 10:49 p.m. Huron County OPP and the Goderich Fire Department responded to a structure fire located on Oxford Street in Goderich.         

An unoccupied single dwelling residence sustained extensive damage. The subsequent investigation has determined the fire to be an act of arson.

The dollar value of the damages to the residence has yet to be established.

25 Year Old From Wingham Arrested Following Collision – Cocaine A Factor

(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges against a Wingham resident following an Impaired Driving occurrence that took place earlier this week northwest of Wingham.

On Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at approximately 1:33 p.m. Huron County OPP officers and Huron County Paramedic Services responded to a single motor vehicle collision located off of Holmes Line. Upon arrival officers located and spoke with the driver at the scene. Upon doing so the investigating officer observed signs the driver was impaired by a drug. 

As a result the driver was placed under arrest for Impaired Operation and a search incident to arrest resulted in police seizing suspected cocaine and an opioid. A Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) later conducted an evaluation on the driver and it was determined the driver was impaired by a drug. 

Kealin LABBE, 25 years of age from Wingham has been charged with Operation While Impaired, Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine and Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid. 

The accused has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for December 6, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Meth Bust On Charles St – Calvin THOMSON Arrested

(NORTH HURON, ON) – A resident of Wingham is facing a number of charges after police got called about a suspicious male slouched over in a parked pickup truck.

Shortly after 8:03 a.m. on October 12, 2021 Huron OPP officers responded to Charles Street in Wingham to check on the driver of a pickup truck. Officers arrived shortly thereafter and had the occasion to speak with the driver. Upon speaking with the driver police noted the driver was displaying signs of impairment through a drug.

Upon arrest police conducted a search and found a quantity of suspected methamphetamine. 

The driver was subsequently evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) and he was deemed to be impaired by a drug.

Calvin THOMSON, 23 years of age from Wingham has been charged with Impaired Operation, Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine and Operate Motor Vehicle Without Insurance. 

The accused has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for December 6, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

(PERTH EAST, ON) – On October 12, 2021, just after 12:00 a.m., a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was on general patrol in the Township of Perth East when they conducted a traffic stop on a speeding motor vehicle. During the investigation, an Approved Screening Device was utilized. As a result, the driver was arrested and transported to local detachment where further tests were completed.

Victoria PIERROT, 25, of Stratford has been charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute to the accused. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charge.

(NORTH PERTH, ON) – On September 26, 2021, just after 1:00 a.m., a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was on general patrol in the Municipality of North Perth when they conducted a traffic stop. While speaking with the driver of the motor vehicle, the officer observed that the driver was displaying signs of impairment. As a result, the driver was arrested and transported to a local detachment where further tests were completed.

  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute to the accused. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charge.

HILLIER Arrested For Shoplifting

(NORTH PERTH, ON) – On September 20, 2021, just before 12:00 p.m., the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a shoplifter at a business on Mitchell Road South in Listowel. 

A Loss Prevention Officer observed an individual attempting to take items from the business without purchasing. All items were recovered.

As a result, Brianna HILLIER, 32, of Listowel, has been charged with:

  • Theft Under $5000 – Shoplifting

The accused in this matter was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charge.

35 Year Old Arrested For Drunk Driving

(WEST PERTH, ON) – On September 19, 2021, just after 9:30 p.m., an officer with the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on general patrol in the Municipality of North Perth when they conducted a traffic stop. An Approved Screening Device (ASD) was utilized and the driver was arrested and transported to a local OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result, Mario SOTO LOPEZ, 35, of New Tecumseth, has been charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute to the accused. The accused in this matter was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charge.

First Degree Murder

(NORTHERN BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – An individual has been charged with murder in connection with a death in the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula.

On October 10, 2021, at approximately 3:00 p.m., officers from the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a death near Scugog Lane. Officers located a deceased female in a wooded area.

The Grey Bruce OPP Crime Unit commenced an investigation, with the assistance of the OPP Forensic Identification Services (FIS), West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the OPP Dufferin detachment, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB). The investigation is in partnership with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario (OCCO) and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service (OFPS).

On October 11, 2021, the OPP arrested and charged 32-year-old Wazhir GAFOOR of Shelburne with First Degree Murder under section 235(1) of the Criminal Code. The accused was remanded in custody, with an appearance scheduled before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on October 22, 2021.

The identity of the deceased is under investigation.

Investigators believe this to be an isolated incident and there is no concern for public safety.
