When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes Duty.

Some Wingham businesses are willing to standup to Doug Ford and alongside Ontario Teachers Unions and demand that the schools be closed during this lockdown. To draw attention to this issue, businesses are prepared to sell “non essential” items and defy other arbitrary lockdown rules that are as illogical as keeping our schools open during a lockdown.

If the government truly believes we need to decrease our interactions with others and double-down on physical distancing, the schools need to be closed for in-person learning. If you are serious about infection control, you can’t group all our Community’s children together every weekday at school.

Chaos. That is the only way to describe the illogical patchwork of rules and guidelines that has led to mass inequality, bankruptcies, thefts, depression, frustration and fury across Ontario. Doug Ford’s lack of logic and courage to call for strict measures before St. Patrick’s Day last year, and postponing a “lockdown” until after Christmas has cost thousands of Ontarian lives.

Under these new rules you can buy eggs, but not a pan to cook them in or a whisk to scramble them. I can assure you the virus knows not what you are purchasing or what aisle you are in. If physical distancing is good enough in the bread aisle, it’s good enough in every other aisle in the store.

All businesses should be allowed to be open provided they enforce masking and physical distancing, anything beyond that is unconstitutional. Restricting business hours and sales of “non essential” items will not stop the spread of a virus. Masking and distancing can.

Wingham once again has the highest tax rate in Ontario, proving we have the worst management team in place and that corruption is costing taxpayers millions of dollars a year. This works out to thousands of dollars per household every year. Money you could have spent at local businesses, charities, salons, etc.

Despite the highest tax rate around, bernie bailey and his corrupt cronies insist they need more money and need to sell the airport, trailer park, and mother’s kidney in an attempt to momentarily calm their intense and overwhelming greed.

It was revealed at the 15Mar2021 council meeting that bernie bailey tried to force Morris-Turnberry to hand over land to North Huron in exchange for hooking up Green’s Meat Market to municipal services. Hopefully criminal charges are pending.

At the March 15 council meeting, North Huron council voted to give away the Winghmam Airport to one of their friends for a tiny fraction of market value. They call this method “direct marketing” because calling it a backroom deal would be too obvious. Like all the land and property stolen from the people, it will NOT be listed on the open market or MLS. If they did list it on MLS their buddy would have to pay market value, and would not make a few quick million dollars. 

If you want a better neighbourhood, be better neighbours. 

What bernie bailey and his North Huron council are doing to Green’s Meat Market is abhorrent. Denying anyone water is despicable, and using access to water as leverage is reprehensible. 100% of Winghamites polled are appalled by bernie bailey’s abuse of Green’s Meat Market.

As a Winghamite I am deeply offended that we are denying an excellent neighbour access to OUR water. This is not bernie bailey’s water, it is the taxpayers’ of Wingham’s water. I have yet to encounter a single Winghamite who agrees with denying Green’s access to our water. This inequality and abuse must end.

Volunteers have stepped forward and are willing to bring their shovels and backhoes to hook Green’s Meat Market up to North Huron services if council still refuses to do so. All that is needed is Green’s Meat Market’s consent. One volunteer is eager to be charged so he can get Councillors on the witness stand in court, in order to expose the council’s extortion attempt as part of a pattern of abuse.

Late this afternoon a new member of the Kuyvenhoven Kult drove his vehicle at high speed through a stop sign one block from our High School and hit alleged Wingham Free Press co-founder(s), injuring one. The assailant openly admitted he was just hired through one of Doug Kuyvenhoven’s businesses, Royal Homes.  You may know doug from his OPP bashing, Wingham BIA child luring sign scandal, or his Maitland River Community Church and their child diddling scandal. 

The new Kuyvenhoven Kult member/assassin claimed he was new to the area, and that’s why he sped through the stop sign. Apparently Wingham’s unique stop signs aren’t recognized by out-of-towners despite our arrogant belief they are globally recognized. The new doug club member also claimed he was too busy looking for street signs to see the stop sign. 

Two people well known for OPP bashing have teamed up to shame the “upper echelon” of the OPP for their incompetence and what they believe to be deadly slow response times of the OPP. Reeve Bailey stated “It’s very important that the upper echelon realize that they made a mistake”. 

North Huron Reeve Bernie Bailey  said, “I think we all realize that if there is a family disruption or if there is an accident and your OPP officer is going to the bathroom in Clinton, it’s a long way to North Huron, or to Howick, or Morris-Turnberry.”

North Huron council and Doug Kuyvehoven claim this “shame station” is for OPP officers to have some place to use the washroom. They claim there is no other option other than the Clinton detachment for officers to use a washroom, and this adds 30+ minutes to the response times.

WFP hopes police officers are smart enough to figure out to go to the bathroom by themselves without Bailey & Kuyvenhoven telling them what to do. They have been doing it since the invention of policing without Kuyvenhoven & Bailey’s shame station.

There are a myriad of options police offices have to use the bathroom, from hospitals they frequently visit in the course of their duty, gas stations, convenience stores, town halls, Tim Hortons, restaurants, Public Works buildings, any government building, friendly store owners they met on foot patrol, rest stations with porta potties, truck stops, etc. 

This same team of Kuyvenhoven & Bailey showed up to the OPP costing meetings and spread lies and fear. Doug Kuyvenhoven even claimed to speak for EVERY Wingham business when spewing his lies of support for the former Wingham Police, and Bernie Bailey slammed them for their slow response times.
